Resistance bomb reportedly destroys US Humvee, killing crew in ar-Ramadi.
In a communique´ posted on its website at 5:10pm Baghdad time Sunday afternoon, 22 April 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that a detachment of their fighters set off a bomb under a US Humvee in the city of ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad, completely burning the vehicle and killing all aboard.

Resistance mortars pound US base in al-Fallujah Sunday.
In a dispatch posted at 4:36pm Baghdad time Sunday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that Iraqi Resistance forces blasted the US as-Simak base in al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad, with mortars on Sunday.
The AMSI reported a source in the al-Fallujah puppet police as saying that the mortar barrage sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky
Resistance eliminates US-appointed puppet “governor” of al-Fallujah Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 4:22pm Baghdad time Sunday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters killed Sami ‘Abd al-Amir al-Jumayli, the head of the puppet local governing council in the city of al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad, on Saturday.
Quds Press reported a source in the puppet police as saying that Resistance men in two cars attacked al-Jumayli’s house on Saturday afternoon and unleashed a hail of gunfire on the puppet mayor. The attackers then drove away.
The AMSI reported a captain in the puppet police in the city as saying that armed men attacked al-Jumayli’s home in the al-Jawlan neighborhood in northern al-Fallujah and opened fire on him, killing him instantly.
Al-Jumayli was the fourth in a series of US-appointed chiefs of al-Fallujah to be killed off by the Iraqi Resistance, one after the other. Collaborators Kamal at-Tikriti, then ‘Abdallah al-‘Isawi, and then ‘Abbas ad-Dabbas, all preceded al-Jumayli in death at the hands of the Iraqi Resistance.

US admits six American troops killed in Baghdad area Saturday-Sunday.
In a dispatch posted Sunday on its website, the United Arab Emirates-based Moheet news agency reported that the US military had admitted that six American troops had been killed in various Resistance attacks in Iraq in the previous 24 hours.
Moheet reported the US communique´ as saying that one American soldier was killed and two more wounded in a Resistance attack on a US base in southwestern Baghdad Saturday. A second US soldier was killed and another wounded when an Iraqi Resistance bomb went off by their vehicle on a road 24km southwest of Baghdad.
The American announcement said that a third US soldier was killed and three more wounded in southwestern Baghdad when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded following a battle with Resistance fighters equipped with light arms.
The US communique´ reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters equipped with light arms assaulted a US military vehicle to the east of Baghdad killing a fourth American soldier and wounding another.
Another Iraqi Resistance ambush killed a fifth American soldier and wounded three more in western Baghdad.
The US communique´ said that the sixth American military fatality took place in a “non combat action” on Saturday and was still under investigation.
Violent explosions rock south Baghdad suburb Sunday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 8:08 GMT on Sunday, Quds Press reported that four violent explosions shook the southern Baghad suburb of ad-Durah on Sunday afternoon.
Quds Press reported a puppet police source as saying that the powerful blasts rocked the Abu Dushayr district of ad-Durah. It was believed they were the result of incoming rockets, adding that ambulances and fire trucks raced to the scene.
Men in puppet police uniforms abduct 12 civilians from market in Baghdad Sunday.
In a dispatch posted at 4:36pm Baghdad time Sunday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a group of armed men in puppet police uniforms abducted 12 Iraqi civilians from the central Baghdad district of as-Salihiyah on Sunday.
The AMSI reported a puppet security source as saying that “unknown armed men” wearing puppet police uniforms and driving four vehicles kidnapped 12 fish vendors in as-Salihiyah. In its report on the incident, Quds Press quoted a puppet police source as saying that the kidnappers were driving puppet government vehicles.
AMSI reported its source as saying that puppet regime security forces surrounded the area where the incident took place and began looking for suspects.
Shi‘i sectarian militias, whose members make up the bulk of the puppet police and army, have been actively engaged in kidnap, torture, and murder of Sunni Iraqis in a campaign, now over a year old, aimed at driving Sunnis out of much of Iraq and partitioning the country in accordance with plans drawn up by Zionist and US quarters.
Resistance car bombers target puppet police station in Baghdad’s al-Bayya‘ district Sunday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:42pm Baghdad time Sunday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighters drove two explosives-laden cars into a puppet police station in the west Baghdad district of al-Bayya‘ on Sunday morning.
The AMSI reported that one of the car bombers drove into the station while the second blew up by the concrete barricades outside it. The explosions killed five puppet policemen and eight civilians and wounded 46 puppet police and 36 civilians, AMSI reported, adding that emergency teams were still looking for casualties under masses of rubble that came down on the area from the force of the explosions.
Four US troops reported killed in Resistance bomb attack in Baghdad on Friday.
In a communique´ posted on its website at 5:05pm Baghdad time Sunday afternoon, 22 April 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of their engineer units detonated a bomb under a US Humvee in the ash-Shaykh ‘Umar area of central Baghdad at 6pm Friday afternoon, 20 April 2007. The blast totally destroyed the American vehicle, killing four US troops, the communique´ said.
Resistance group blasts puppet troops in southern Baghdad Thursday.
In a communique´ posted on its website at 4:49pm Baghdad time Sunday afternoon, 22 April 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that a detachment of its fighters fired four heavy 120mm mortar rounds at a concentration of puppet troops in the 120 Street area to the south of Baghdad at 6pm Thursday afternoon, 19 April 2007. The shells scored direct hits on their target, sending plumes of smoke rising over the scene.
Resistance organization reports bomb attack on US Humvee.
In a communique´ posted on its website on Saturday, 21 April 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Jaysh ar-Rashideen announced that its fighters had set off a bomb in the Baghdad district of ar-Ridwaniyah by a US Humvee, disabling it and killing all aboard.

US soldier reported killed by Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter in al-Mushahadah midday Saturday.
In a communique´ posted on its website at 5:44pm Baghdad time Saturday afternoon, 21 April 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its sharpshooters shot and killed a US soldier in al-Mushahadah, 25km north of Baghdad, at 1pm Saturday.
Resistance bomb disables US vehicle in al-Mushahadah in predawn hours of Saturday.
In a communique´ posted on its website at pm Baghdad time Saturday afternoon, 21 April 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its engineers unit had set off a bomb by a US military vehicle in al-Mushahadah, 25km north of Baghdad, at 3am local time before dawn Saturday.
The communique´ reported that the explosion disabled the vehicle, wounding the members of the crew inside it.

Resistance fighters kill puppet army soldiers in al-Mada’in Saturday morning.
In a communique´ posted on its website at 5:40pm Baghdad time Saturday afternoon, 21 April 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that a group of its fighters attacked and killed three puppet army soldiers in al-Mada’in, 25km southeast of Baghdad, at 8am local time Saturday morning.

Resistance bomb destroys puppet “Iraqi National Guard” transport Friday afternoon.
In a communique´ posted on its website at 5:42pm Baghdad time Saturday afternoon, 21 April 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its engineering units detonated a bomb by a puppet “National Guard” troop transport vehicle in Salman Bak, 35km southeast of Baghdad at 6pm local time Friday afternoon, 20 April 2007. The blast totally destroyed the vehicle, the communique´ reported, killing four puppet troops.

Resistance bomb destroys puppet “National Guard” pickup Friday evening.
In a communique´ posted on its website at 5:38pm Baghdad time Saturday afternoon, 21 April 2007, the Iraqi Resistance organization the Islamic Army announced that one of its engineers units detonated a bomb by a pickup belonging to the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” on the highway in al-Latifiyah, 40km south of Baghdad, at 8pm local time Friday evening, 20 April 2007. The report said that the blast totally destroyed the vehicle, killing three puppet “Guards.”

Al-Mawsil.
In apparent act of retaliation, 21 Yazidi mill workers shot dead in al-Mawsil.
In a dispatch posted at 8:06 GMT on Sunday, Quds Press reported that a group of armed men killed 21 textile mill workers who were members of the Yazidi religion in the northern city of al-Mawsil.
A source in the al-Mawsil puppet police told Quds Press that armed men opened fire on a bus carrying workers out of the textile mill in southeastern al-Mawsil. The attack left 21 people dead, later identified as members of the Yazidi religion who live in the vicinity of the city.
The source suspected that the attack was an act of revenge by extremist groups for the brutal killing a couple of weeks earlier by a group of Yazidis in the town of Ba ‘shiqah of a woman who had embraced Islam. A woman who belonged to the Yazidi community in Ba‘shiqah reportedly embraced Islam and married a Muslim. She was kidnapped and dragged back to Ba‘shiqah where she was stoned to death.

Ad-Diwaniyah.
US forces raid offices of pro-American Badr Brigades in ad-Diwaniyah Sunday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:52 GMT on Sunday, Quds Press reported that US forces had raided the offices of the pro-American Shi ‘ sectarian Badr Brigades in the city of ad-Diwaniyah, 120km south of Baghdad, at noon on Sunday.
Quds Press reported a puppet police source in the city as saying that the Americans raided the Badr Brigade headquarters, confiscating the weapons of the guards and searching the building. The US troops also confiscated documents and files belonging to the brigade but offered no explanation for their actions.
Quds Press reported that this was the second time that US forces had raided the Badr Brigade offices in ad-Diwaniyah since the start of the implementation of their Security Plan in the city three weeks ago.
The imposition of the US plan in ad-Diwaniyah has been punctuated with clashes apparently between American forces on the one hand and the Jaysh al-Mahdi and Badr Brigade militias on the other. Those Shi‘i sectarian militias − the Jaysh al-Mahdi being loyal to sectarian cleric Muqtada as-Sadr, and the Badr Brigades being the armed wing of the Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI) are seen as being involved in an Iranian drive to step into the shoes of the US when American forces depart the country under the blows of the Iraqi Resistance.
Washington is now upset that the Iranian-trained militias, which helped the Americans invade and occupy Iraq, are now acting as rivals and extensions of Iran’s attempt to replace the US as hegemon over the Arab country. Accordingly, the US has been imposing “Security Plans” in various parts of the country in an attempt to reassert its control over its allies in the militia forces.

Head of US-installed “Anti-Baath” committee wounded in Resistance attack in al-Basrah Sunday.
In a dispatch posted at 4:22pm Baghdad time Sunday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that Iraqi Resistance forces ambushed the motorcade of Abu Mujahid al-Maliki, the head of the American-installed “Committee to Uproot the Baath Party” and deputy chief of Hizballah in Iraq, on Sunday.
The AMSI reported a source in the Hizballah as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with light arms attacked al-Maliki’s motorcade, killing one of his guards and wounding al-Maliki and another of his bodyguards. Al-Maliki was taken to hospital for treatment.
The Iraqi Hizballah chief, Karim Mahud, was formerly a member of the puppet “Interim Governing Council of Iraq” set up by American proconsul L. Paul Bremer just after the US occupation of the country in 2003.
