US locks down cities of al-Anbar Province Monday.
In a dispatch posted at 10:28pm Baghdad time Monday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that US forces had surrounded and blockaded the cities in al-Anbar Province since 10pm Sunday night. The cities remain locked down and US troops have closed all the bridges on roads leading to the urban areas, in which curfew have been proclaimed.
AMSI reported people of ar-Ramadi, Hit, al-Fallujah, al-Hadithah, and al-Qa’im as saying that US forces threatened to use live ammunition against any moving body that approaches them, according to the US announcement broadcast in the streets of each of those cities.
Puppet police and puppet army troops deployed in the streets and lanes of the cities and the skies overhead filled with swarms of US helicopter gun ships and unmanned spy planes, prowling the airspace at extremely low altitude.
The actions coincided with a 24-hour ban on motorized traffic in Baghdad on the occasion of the 4th anniversary of the US occupation of the Iraqi capital on 9 April 2003. In other cities freedom of movement has been allowed but under the supervision of US troops an the puppet army and police.

Nine more bodies found as America celebrates 4th anniversary of capture of Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 10:40pm Baghdad time Monday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that Iraqi puppet police discovered nine more bodies of murder victims in various pars of Baghdad.
AMSI reported a puppet police source as saying that most of the bodies had been bound and blindfolded and most bore signs of torture and where shot to death in the head and chest.
Torture is a trademark of the Shi‘i sectarian militias and the US-backed puppet security and military forces.
The bodies were taken to the Forensic Medicine Morgue for identification.
In other news, puppet police sources revealed that two civilians were wounded Monday evening when mortar shells landed in the Umm al-Ma‘alif neighborhood of southern Baghdad.
Ban on motor traffic imposed in Baghdad on 4th anniversary of occupation.
In a dispatch posted at 9:18 GMT Monday morning, Quds Press reported that the US-installed puppet regime had imposed a ban on motor traffic in Baghdad to mark the fourth anniversary of the American occupation of the Iraqi capital. The ban took effect Monday morning and would remain in place until Tuesday morning.
A spokesman for the puppet “security plan” Brigadier General Qasim ‘Ata al-Musawi, told the press that the ban affected vehicles and cycles in all parts of Baghdad starting Monday at 5am and ending at 5am Tuesday morning.
The ban reflects fears of Iraqi Resistance attacks as Americans celebrate the fourth anniversary of their occupation of the Iraqi capital which took place on 9 April 2003.
Diyala Province.
Al-Khalis.
Mysterious mortar attack targets residential area of al-Khalis Monday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 10:48pm Baghdad time Monday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that two civilians were killed and six more wounded when several mortar shells of unknown origin blasted into al-Khalis, about 60km north of Baghdad on Monday afternoon.
AMSI reported a medical source in al-Khalis General Hospital reported that “unknown persons” fired a number of mortar shells into residential areas in the ‘Ulaybat district of al-Khalis. In addition to the dead and wounded victims, the barrage inflicted damage to several residential buildings.
Al-Miqdadiyah.
Car bomb targets puppet checkpoint near al-Miqdadiyah Sunday night.
In a dispatch posted at 12 noon Baghdad time Monday, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a car bomb exploded in a village east of al-Miqdadiyah, 85km north of Baghdad, Sunday night.
AMSI reported a puppet security source in the city as saying that bomber driving a Danya car loaded with furniture set off his payload near a checkpoint in the village of Qiziljah. The puppet security source asserted that the blast killed four civilians and damaged civilian property. Quds Press, in a dispatch posted at 9:24am GMT Monday, quoted a puppet security spokesman as indicating that “some” puppet police had also been wounded in the attack.
The source claimed that puppet security services disarmed a second car bomb in the same area after being tipped off by local people.
Al-Qadisiyah Province.
Ad-Diwaniyah.
Mortar barrage targets US “Camp Echo” in ad-Diwaniyah Monday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 12:45pm Baghdad time midday Monday, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that more than 20 mortar shells were fired into the US military “Camp Echo” in ad-Diwaniyah, 120km southeast of Baghdad, Monday morning.
AMSI reported a puppet police source, who asked not to be identified, as saying that the shells were fired from the new area of the city and landed within the American camp. US helicopters and forces of US and puppet Iraqi troops moved towards the area from which the shells were fired, searching for the attackers but found nothing in their raids and searches.
The puppet police source made no mention of the extent of damage or casualties inflicted on the Americans in the course of the barrage.
On Sunday, ad-Diwaniyah was the scene of fighting ignited by pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen trying to replace the Americans as the occupiers of Iraq.

Shi‘i sectarian gunmen try to storm Sunni mosque in al-Basrah as British headquarters come under bombardment.
In a dispatch posted at 10:57am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Shi‘i sectarian militias attempted to raid and storm into the al-‘Arab Mosque in al-Basrah Sunday night.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that late model civilian cars packed with masked Shi‘i sectarian gunmen tried to enter the mosque, claiming to be some security agency that they did not specify.
Eyewitnesses said that mosque security guards resisted the sectarian gunmen, shooting at the militiamen and blocking their entry into the mosque. In the end, the sectarians fled.
This was the second time that Shi‘i sectarian militias tried to storm the mosque. In the middle of 2006 puppet “Interior Ministry men and Shi‘i sectarian militias stormed the mosque, killing eight guards and setting a large part of the building on fire.
In other news, a mortar attack was launched in broad daylight on the British headquarters set up in the former presidential palaces in al-Basrah Monday morning.
Eyewitnesses said that unknown groups had issued warnings to residents near the palaces to leave their homes because the area was going to be bombarded on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the occupation of Iraq.
