Al-Haqlaniyah.
Fighting in area of al-Hadithah on Sunday reported.
In a dispatch posted at 9:54 GMT Tuesday, Quds Press reported that fighting erupted between Iraqi Resistance men and US occupation troops near al-Haqlaniyah, a suburb of al-Hadithah, 270km northwest of Baghdad, on Sunday, 6 May.
Quds Press reported a puppet police source as saying that the battle left on US mine sweeper vehicle destroyed and its crew dead after it was struck by a rocket and machine gun fire.
Witnesses said that he vehicle continued to burn for hours after the attack, since the Americans left it there abandoned for a long time due to the intensity of the fighting. They later returned to evacuate the bodies of their dead via helicopters that landed in the area.
The puppet municipal council for al-Hadithah also reported that fighting between US troops and Iraqi Resistance men broke out in the ad-Dawahir neighborhood near al-Hadithah. That battle went on for about half an hour in the course of which light and medium weapons were fired, destroying one US military vehicle, killing or wounding members of its crew. US forces surrounded the area and carried out searches for the Resistance attackers as an American helicopter landed to evacuate the casualties.

Resistance group reports destruction of US Humvee, killing all aboard it, in bomb attack west of Baghdad on Sunday.
In a communique´ posted on its website the Iraqi Resistance organization the Brigades of Jihadi Iraqi Groups [Saraya ‘Asa’ib al-‘Iraq al-Jihadiyah] announced that that one of its detachments had detonated a bomb by a US Humvee in the al-Munaysir area west of Baghdad at 3:15am local time Sunday, May 2007.
The communique´ issued by the Resistance organization reported that the blast destroyed the Humvee, killing the American troops inside.

US admits Iraqi Resistance landmine kills two American troops in Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 10:38pm Makkah time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance land mine exploded by a US military bus in southeastern Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the US military as admitting that an Iraqi Resistance land mine went off by a US bus, killing two American soldiers and wounding a third.
The US military also announced that it had issued orders to about 35,000 more American troops to prepare for deployment in Iraq later this year.

Samarra’, ad-Dulu‘iyah, and ad-Dawr under severe curfew following Resistance attack.
In a dispatch posted at 11:46pm Baghdad time Tuesday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that the residents of the city of Samarra’, 120km north of Baghdad, are suffering through their third straight day under curfew after Resistance attacks targeted the puppet police administration building in the city, leaving its chief and a number of puppet police officers dead.
The AMSI reported that since the attack the residents of the city have been subjected to a severe curfew, banning all waling in the street. With power and services also shut down, the city residents are suffering an acute shortage of water, food, and medicine − services and supplies of which were rudimentary at best before the punitive curfew was imposed.
One religious leader volunteered to cover the cost of repairing the running water system out of his own pocket, but the US occupation forces prevented him from doing so.
Residents of the city hope that international humanitarian organizations will intervene with the American occupation forces to get them to lift the curfew and provide supplies of water, food, medicine, and fuel into the city because the situation is becoming unbearable, they say.
Also under curfew in addition to Samarra’ are the cities of ad-Dawr and ad-Dulu‘iyah.

Ba‘qubah.
US helicopter rockets elementary school, killing seven children near Ba‘qubah.
In a dispatch posted at 8:44pm Makkah time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US aircraft struck an elementary school in the an-Nada village in the Mandali area south of Ba‘qubah, 65km northeast of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the American attack left seven school children dead and three more of them wounded − some of them in serious condition.
In a dispatch posted at 11:55pm Tuesday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported the local authorities as saying that the American aircraft had attacked the as-Sa‘adah [“Happiness”] School in an-Nada.
It its dispatch posted at 7:32 pm GMT, Quds Press reported that an American helicopter had fired a rocket at the as-Sa‘adah Primary School, setting off a big explosion inside the building during the hours when school was in session on Tuesday. Quds Press reported that the injured students were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, though they were in grave condition.
Al-Jazeera satellite TV reported that the Americans claimed that they had attacked the school in response to a Resistance barrage fired from somewhere nearby. Quds Press reported that an official with the puppet city council spoke with an American military official who claimed that US forces had come under fire from inside the school, bu that local residents and eyewitnesses flatly denied that any such attack from the school had taken place.

Al-Kufah.
Mysterious car vehicle bomb explodes in al-Kufah Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 10:56am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a car bomb exploded in the southern Iraqi city of al-Kufah, killing 16 and wounding 48.
In its dispatch posted at 12:52pm Baghdad time midday Tuesday the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that the vehicle bomb exploded in a very crowded area 400 meters from the Mosque of al-Kufah at about 10am local time Tuesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the puppet police and eyewitnesses as saying that the blast took place near a restaurant in the largely Shi‘i city on Tuesday. The British news agency Reuters reported one witness as saying that a man driving a small bus carried out the attack.
A medical source in the city said that by preliminary count 16 people had been killed and another 38 injured in the explosion. Another puppet official in the city said that a large number of shops had been damaged in the blast as well.
