Savage US air raid near ar-Ramadi leaves 30 civilians dead, most of them women, children.
In a dispatch posted at 5:39GMT Tuesday, Quds Press reported that a source at ar-Ramadi General Hospital had said that his institution had received 30 bodies of Iraqis killed by an American air strike on a village near ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad on Monday.
The hospital source, who asked to remain anonymous, told Quds Press that all the victims were civilians who had been killed when American aircraft blasted the homes of Muhammad Zaydan Farhan and his brother ‘Awwad Zaydan Farhan in the al-Bu ‘Ithah village in the al-Jazirah area near ar-Ramadi.
The source said that 13 of the dead were children and 14 were women. In addition to the 30 people killed there were others who were wounded in the American raid.
Eyewitnesses said that the attack took place on Monday afternoon and that US aircraft totally destroyed the two houses. The bodies were dug out from under the rubble. The witnesses said there was no reason for the sudden American attack.
For its part the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI), the supreme Sunni Muslim religious authority in occupied Iraq, denounced the American air raid and the “criminal massacre” it produced, saying that it showed the world the savagery of the US occupation, which targets women and children for no reason whatsoever.
Al-Hadithah.
Resistance blasts US headquarters near al-Hadithah with mortars Tuesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:46pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four mortar rounds into the US headquarters in al-Haqlaniyah, east of al-Hadithah, about 270km northwest of Baghdad, on Tuesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the shells balsted into the headquarters, setting off explosions and sending plumes of smoke billowing into the sky from inside.
After the attack, US forces deployed around the area and cut all the roads that run through the area near the US-occupied facility.

UN High Commissioner for Refugees: at least 600 Palestinians have been killed in Iraq.
In a dispatch posted at 11:52pm Makkah time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the UN High Commissioner for Refugees had announced that at least 600 Palestinians had been killed in acts of violence in Iraq since the American invasion of the country four years ago.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Antonio Gutierrez, the head of the UNHCR as responding to a question at a press conference at the UN headquarters in al-Manamah, the capital of Bahrain, by saying that the Palestinians are “hanging” in Iraq where they are targeted by some of the militias. The UN official said that 600 Palestinians had been killed.
Gutierrez said tat the total number of Palestinians in Iraq is now about 15,000, most of them living in Baghdad, as compared with 30,000 who used to live in Iraq before the American invasion.
Last month the UN official accused the Iraqi puppet police of carrying out campaigns of raids in Palestinian neighborhoods of Baghdad, noting on that occasion that at least one Palestinian had been killed and five others arrested. A UNHCR spokesman in Geneva expressed the organization’s “intense concern” over the campaign being waged by the Iraqi puppet security forces against Palestinian refugees in Iraq, noting that after that latest incident at least 41 Palestinians packed up and left Baghdad to camp out by the Syrian border rather than remain targets for pro-Iranian sectarian militias as they have now been for months.
Puppet police together with Shi‘i sectarian militia drive into al-‘Amil district shooting at passers by on Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 8:41pm Baghdad time Tuesday evening, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that puppet “Order Protection Police” and Shi‘i sectarian militias opened fire indiscriminately on civilians in the Baghdad neighborhood of al-‘Amil on Tuesday.
AMSI reported three puppet “Order Protection Police” cars and civilian BMW cars belonging to a Shi ‘ sectarian militia drove onto “7 Nisan” Street near the “Japanese House” and opened fire on passers by on both sides of the road in an indiscriminate manner, prompting local people to respond. The local residents accordingly disabled one of the puppet “Order Protection Police” cars.
The correspondent for AMSI reported that the attack by the puppet security men and their sectarian militia allies took place before the eyes of pro-American Kurdish separatist Peshmergah militia deployed in the area, who did nothing to stop the random attack.
US forces carry out raids, searches in al-Jadiriyah, as-Sayyidiyah in Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 3:46pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces sealed off the southern Baghdad districts of as-Sayyidiyah and al-Jadiriyah on Tuesday morning and then proceeded to carry out out a campaign of raids and searches there.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that more than 10 US military vehicles surrounded the two Baghdad districts and then the Americans launched house-to-house raids of the areas as helicopter gun ships prowled the skies overhead. No information on the results of the American campaign was available.
As-Sayyidiyah and al-Jadiriyah are the scene of frequent bombings targeted on puppet police patrols.
US admits four more Americans killed in Iraq Monday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:14pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US occupation forces admitted Tuesday that four American soldiers were killed in battles that took place on Monday.
Reuters, as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, reported that two US Army soldiers and one Marine were killed in two separate attacks in al-Anbar Province. One other US soldier was killed and three more wounded when an Iraqi Resistance truck bomb went off in front of the puppet police station in the northern city of Kirkuk.
Head of Dean’s Office of College of Political Science at Baghdad University found murdered.
In a dispatch posted at 10:42am Baghdad time Tuesday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported a source in the College of Political Science of Baghdad University as announcing that the body of Khalid Hasan, the director of the Dean’s Office of the college had been found murdered in Baghdad.
AMSI reported that Khalid Hasan was kidnapped by armed men from his Baghdad home two days ago. His body was found bound and blindfolded and there were gunshot wounds in various parts of his body.
US blasts two houses in Baghdad Monday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 10:24am Baghdad time Tuesday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that US aircraft struck two buildings in the ‘Arab Jabbur area of Baghdad on the pretext that the Resistance was using them as bomb factories.
AMSI reported a US statement as saying that US troops found “massive quantities” of chemical substances in the houses such as are used in the making of explosives. The troops called in aircraft to destroy the houses and the material. Afterwards, the Americans imposed a curfew in the area, stating that no civilians had been hared in the US attack.

US Marine reported killed in Resistance bomb attack in Tikrit midday Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 7:56pm Makkah time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US Marine patrol in Tikrit, 180km north of Baghdad, at midday Tuesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police spokesman as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of a road in the city went off by a patrol of five US Humvees. The spokesman said that the blast killed one US Marine who was atop one of the Humvees and wounded three more of them, one of those severely.
The spokesman said that the US forces called in a helicopter to evacuate the wounded because the nearest US base was relatively far from the scene of the attack.
Samarra’.
US, puppet troops in Samarra’ reportedly use mentally retarded persons to investigate objects suspected of being roadside bombs.
In a dispatch posted at 7pm Makkah time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the people of Samarra’ have witnessed the US forces and their Iraqi puppet army allies employing a new method for clearing roads of suspicious objects.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Samarra’, 120km north of Baghdad, as saying that US and puppet Iraqi troops used three mentally retarded people last week to investigate suspected roadside bombs.
The US and puppet troops send the retarded men to the place where a suspicious object was located by the side of the road and told them to turn over the object or pick it up and throw it down onto the ground.
The local residents told Mafkarat al-Islam that on Tuesday they witnessed the death of one retarded youth in this manner. The witnesses said that the US and puppet Iraqi forces stopped a retarded youth and put him in one of their military vehicles. They drove him to a street in the city where a suspicious object − a can of vegetable oil − had been spotted. The soldiers told the retarded youth to go and pick up the can and then throw it down hard on the ground. They promised to give him a new shirt and a mobile phone if he did that for them.
The witnesses said that the victim hurried happily to pick up the can and then slammed it into the ground. The can exploded, killing the youth on the spot.
A source in the Iraqi puppet army confirmed that they were employing such methods and said: “it was the American occupation forces that originally came up with this way of clearing roads of explosives.”
Ad-Dulu‘iyah.
Iraqi Resistance shoots down US transport plane near ad-Dulu‘iyah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:03pm Makkah time midday Tuesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance, firing anti-aircraft weapons, brought down a large American transport supply plane in a remote area not far from ad-Dulu‘iyah, 90km north of Baghdad, on Tuesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported puppet police sources in ad-Dulu‘iyah as saying that a large plane, believed to be transporting provisions to US troops, was shot down by anti-aircraft fire, perhaps by a SAM-1 anti-aircraft rocket.
The puppet police sources said that the airplane had taken off from the al-Bakr Air Base − which the Americans have taken over and dubbed “Camp Anaconda” − a facility they use for resupplying their occupation troops in the areas north of Baghdad.
The sources said that the Americans blasted the wreckage of their aircraft extensively in order to destroy whatever was left there, in order to keep local people away.

Judge abducted near al-‘Azim Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 2:22pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that unknown armed men kidnapped a judge in the area of al-‘Azim, 90km north of Baghdad Tuesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Judge Khalid Fad‘am was on his way from Baghdad to Kirkuk when armed men stopped his car and abducted him and his driver, taking them to an unknown destination.
Babil Province.
Al-Musayyib.
Resistance attacks target puppet police in al-Musayyib.
In a dispatch posted at 10:04pm Baghdad time Tuesday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that Iraqi Resistance forces ambushed puppet “Electricity Police of the Middle Euphrates” in the area of al-Musayyib, about 70km south of Baghdad.
AMSI reported a puppet government source as saying that the attack took place in the al-‘Ubaydi area of al-Musayyib when Resistance men opened fire on the puppet police, killing a master sergeant and patrolman. An Electric Department employee was wounded in the attack.
The source said that other Resistance fighters attacked and killed another puppet policeman in al-Musayyib.
Meanwhile two mortar shells landed in the al-Intisar neighborhood of al-Haswah, about 33km south of Baghdad on Tuesday afternoon.

Kirkuk.
Resistance bomb kills puppet police in Kirkuk area.
In a dispatch posted at 2:08pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet Emergency Police patrol, killing two puppet policemen and wounding a civilian.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported puppet police sources as saying that a bomb went off by puppet police near the Civil Defence Department in the al-Ba‘th neighborhood, 4km south of Kirkuk, killing two puppet police and wounding a civilian who happened to be in the area at the time.
In a separate incident, Resistance fighters attacked and killed Commissioner ‘Ali Jabbar Tha’ir, puppet “Electricity Installation Protection Police.”
Wasit Province.
Al-Kut.
Two US troops reported killed in bomb attack in al-Kut, Tuesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 12:35pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column in the city of al-Kut, 150km southeast of Baghdad on Tuesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported puppet police sources as saying that the bomb, which had been planted by the side of a road in the city went off by a US column, destroying a Humvee and killing two US troops on the spot. A third US soldier was wounded in the attack.
The sources indicated that the American vehicle was seen on fire and totally destroyed. US forces closed off the area for a full hour, during which time they evacuated the wounded and hauled the burning wreckage away.
US forces arrest tribal leader in al-Kut at dawn Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:17pm Baghdad time Tuesday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a joint force of US and puppet security troops arrested the shaykh of the al-‘Abid tribe in al-Kut, 150km southeast of Baghdad on Tuesday. A puppet security source said that a joint force raided the home of Shaykh ‘Abbas Jasim ad-Dashur in the al-‘Izzah al-Qadimah district of al-Kut at dawn Tuesday and arrested him.
AMSI reported the source as adding that the troops also impounded two of the shaykh’s family cars and a confiscated weapons they found in the home.
The source said that the charges against the Shaykh, head of one of the oldest tribes in al-Kut, were unknown.
In a separate attack, unknown armed men assaulted a fuel station in the al-Hayy al-‘Asri area of Kut Tuesday morning. That attack left several puppet “Oil Installation Protection Policemen” dead.
AMSI reported that the attackers were a number of people who wanted to obtain fuel without official authorization. A gun battle took place in which one puppet policeman was killed and a second severely wounded ant taken to hospital.
Al-Basrah Province.
Al-Basrah.
Jaysh al-Mahdi commander gunned down in al-Basrah.
In a dispatch posted at 8:01pm Makkah time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that men armed with modern weapons shot and killed a commander in the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi Shi‘i sectarian militia in the al-Qiblah area of western al-Basrah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that unknown armed men attacked Jalal ‘Abd al-Wahid as he worked in a barbershop o the mains street in al-Qiblah, southwest of al-Basrah. The men opened fire on ‘Abd al-Wahid and killed him on the spot.
‘Abd al-Wahid, also known as ar-Radud, was reportedly a Jaysh al-Mahdi commander in the area. Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at least 10 Jaysh al-Mahdi leaders in the al-Qiblah area − a stronghold of supporters of Muqtada as-Sadr, have been killed in various attacks in recent weeks.
British soldier dies of wounds received in ambush.
In a dispatch posted at 9:34am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported British forces as announcing that a British soldier had died from wounds he received when his patrol came under attack in the al-‘Ashshar area of al-Basrah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the British communique´ as saying that British headquarters in the city of al-Basrah came under mortar attack and in response the British raided and searched several areas of the city, arresting 11 Iraqis.
The communique´ said that six of those people were arrested in the al-Jazirah area of northern al-Basrah, one was picked up in the at-Tanmiyah area and the others were arrested in various other locations.
The British stated that the arrested people would be interrogated and investigated concerning the barrage that struck the British bases.
