Americans imprison nine-year-old boy as hostage.

In a dispatch posted at 7:13 GMT Monday, Quds Press reported that US troops had arrested a nine-year-old child after he told them that his father is in the Islamic Army Resistance organization.

A teacher in a primary school in al-Karmah, 7km east of al-Fallujah, told Quds Press that US forces went around a number of schools in al-Karmah, distributing gifts and candy to the children. The Americans then asked the children such things as, “What do you think about the Resistance?”, “What do you think about the Americans?”, “Does your father like the Resistance?”, and “What does your father do for a living?”

The teacher, who asked not to be identified, told Quds Press that one of the children, a nine-year-old named Ahmad Fadil ‘Abdallah al-Jumayli, chatted away casually and told the Americans that his father was a Resistance fighters with the Islamic Army and that he was away from home and did not bring him any presents. On hearing that, the Americans arrested the boy and told the school principal that he must tell the boy’s relatives that his father has to turn himself in if he wants his son to be released.

Quds Press noted that this is not the first time that the US military have arrested children in order to force their parents to surrender. The Americans regularly take women hostage, too, in order to force their husbands, brothers, sons, or fathers to surrender to the occupation forces.

Resistance reports destroying US troop transport in al-Karmah last week.

In a dispatch posted at 10:10pm Makkah time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had detonated a high-explosive bomb by a US troop transport in the al-Karmah area, 7km east of al-Fallujah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance group the Army of the Mujahideen in Iraq announced that its fighters detonated a high-yield bomb by a US troop carrier destroying the vehicle and killing all the soldiers aboard.

A communique´ issued Monday by the Information Department of the Army of the Mujahideen stated that the attack took place at 11am, on Wednesday, 28 March.

Three bodies, one bearing signs of torture, found in al-Fallujah Monday.

In a dispatch posted at 10:10pm Makkah time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet police discovered three bodies of unknown persons were found in the city of al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad on Monday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that two bodies were found on one street in the Industrial Zone in the eastern part of the city, while the third body, which bore signs of torture, was discovered in the al-Jawlan neighborhood.

Torture is a frequent trademark of the Shi‘i sectarian militias and the US-backed puppet security services many of whose members are drawn from those militias. As of the time of reporting, the bodies had not been identified.

Ar-Ramadi.

US air raid north of ar-Ramadi kills three families Monday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 9:47pm Baghdad time Monday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that dozens were killed and wounded in US air raids on a home in the al-Jazirah area (al-Bu ‘Ithah) north of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad on Monday afternoon.

AMSI reported that the building was home to three families of the al-Bu ‘Ithah tribe in al-Jazirah. The American raids killed all the residents in the house. At the time of reporting bodies of women and children were still buried under the rubble.

Baghdad.

Two puppet troops killed in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 2:36am Baghdad time Tuesday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that two Iraqi puppet army troops lost their lives in Baghdad on Monday.

AMSI reported a puppet police source as saying that an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter shot a puppet soldier as he stood at a checkpoint in the al-Ghadir district of eastern Baghdad, killing him on the spot.

The source added that a US patrol opened fire on a man who was driving a motorcycle near the Umm at-Tubul Mosque in western Baghdad, killing him instantly. The man turned out to be a soldier in the pro-American puppet army who was on his way home on a routine leave.

Fourteen bodies found in Baghdad Monday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:36am Baghdad time Tuesday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that puppet police patrols found 14 more bodies of murdered people in Baghdad in the previous 24 hours.

AMSI reported a puppet police source as saying that the bodies had been bound, blindfolded, and shot to death. All were taken to the Forensic Medicine Department morgue.

Resistance bombs target puppet troops, police in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 8:38pm Baghdad time Monday evening, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that and Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet army patrol in the al-Fadl area of central Baghdad on Monday afternoon.

AMSI reported a puppet police source as saying that the blast damaged a patrol vehicle and wounded two puppet policemen and three civilians.

The source added that a second bomb went off in the northern Baghdad district of al-A‘zamiyah by a puppet army patrol. That blast damaged a patrol vehicle and wounded three puppet troops, the source said.

Truck bomb kills two in al-Bayya‘.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Baghdad time midday Monday, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that an explosives-laden car had exploded in the al-Bayya‘ neighborhood of Baghdad on Monday. AMSI reported that the explosion killed two people and wounded nine more.

US announces death of Marine in al-Anbar on Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:05am Baghdad time Monday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that the US military issued a communique´ in which it admitted the death of a US Marine in what it called a “non-combat accident” in al-Anbar Province on Sunday, 1 April.

AMSI noted that although the American command claimed that the death was not combat-related, it nevertheless failed to provide any details of the town or time when the Marine perished. It said only that the death was “under investigation.

Salah ad-Din Province.
Balad.

Resistance bomb wounds puppet governor of Balad Monday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 2:22am Baghdad time Tuesday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded near the car that was carrying ‘Amir ‘Abd al-Hadi, the puppet governor of Balad, 80km north of Baghdad, on his way home from the provincial capital, Tikrit, where he had held a meeting.

AMSI reported a source in the puppet police as saying that ‘Abd al-Hadi was moderately wounded in the Monday evening attack and three of his bodyguards were also hurt. All were taken to Balad General Hospital for treatment.

Ad-Dulu‘iyah.

Resistance shoots down unmanned US spy plane east of ad-Dulu‘iyah Monday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 2:27pm Baghdad time Monday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot down an unmanned US spy plane near the city of ad-Dulu‘iyah, about 90km north of Baghdad on Monday.

AMSI reported a puppet police source as saying that the Resistance brought down the reconnaissance plane in the village of Kabibah, east of ad-Dulu‘iyah, early Monday morning.

The source said that US artillery and aircraft responded by striking the groves in which the aircraft went down in bombardments that went on until noon Monday. No information on the nature or extent of casualties from those attacks was available, nor did the US military issue any statement confirming or denying the downing of the spy plane.

Ad-Dawr.

US lockdown of ad-Dawr enters second week as Americans arrest 400 on suspicion of involvement in Resistance activities, including puppet governor, chief of police.

In a dispatch posted at 10:54am Baghdad time Monday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that the US blockade on the city of ad-Dawr, 150km north of Baghdad, entered its second week on Monday. US and puppet Iraqi forces continue blocking the city’s entrances and exits and all communication with ad-Dawr has been banned.

AMSI reported eyewitnesses as saying that puppet regime forces prevented deliveries of food aid donated by residents of the nearby cities of Samarra’ and Tikrit from entering ad-Dawr.

The witnesses said that as of Monday morning, nearly 400 people in ad-Dawr had been arrested in the course of house-to-house raids and searches carried out by the US and puppet forces. AMSI has learned that among those arrested are the puppet governor of ad-Dawr and the city’s chief of police.

Diyala Province.
Ba‘qubah.

Bodies of 19 villagers kidnapped in Habhab Sunday found dead.

In a dispatch posted at 4:32pm Baghdad time Monday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that sources in the puppet police and medical sources said on Monday that they had found the bodies of 19 individuals who were kidnapped at a fake checkpoint in the town of Habhab, near Ba‘qubah, 65km northeast of Baghdad, on Sunday. All had been shot in the head and chest.

AMSI reported that the victims were all natives of a village near Ba‘qubah and were kidnapped at a fake checkpoint that had been set up in Habhab village.

Al-Khalis.

Mysterious bomber targets popular market in al-Khalis, killing at least three Monday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 2:45pm Baghdad time Monday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that a man wearing an explosive belt blew himself up in a popular market in the town of al-Khalis, 57km north of Baghdad.

AMSI reported medical and puppet security sources as saying that a person wearing an explosive belt blew himself up after noon on Monday, killing three civilians and wounding 20 more, in addition to setting fire to several commercial shops.

Medical sources in al-Khalis General Hospital said that some of the wounded are in grave condition and had to be transferred to Ba‘qubah General Hospital in the provincial capital.

Babil Province.
Al-Iskandariyah.

Mortar rounds blast into residential areas of al-Iskandariyah Monday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 11:41pm Baghdad time Monday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that five mortar rounds exploded in various residential neighborhoods of the town of al-Iskandariyah, about 40km of Baghdad on Monday afternoon. AMSI reported puppet police sources as saying that the barrage wounded two civilians.

Al-Musayyib.

Attackers gun down puppet official.

In a dispatch posted at 11:41pm Baghdad time Monday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that armed men attacked the deputy in charge of food provisions in the al-Musayyib area, 70km south of Baghdad.

AMSI reported a puppet police source as saying that armed men opened fire on the official who was transported in grave condition to al-Musayyib General Hospital for treatment.

At-Ta’mim Province.
Kirkuk.

Two puppet policemen killed in truck bomb attack on puppet police station in Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Baghdad time midday Monday, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter detonated an explosives-laden truck in front of the Rahim Awah puppet police station in the northern city of Kirkuk before noon Monday.

AMSI reported that US troops were inside the puppet police station at the time of the attack, but noted that no information on the nature or extent of US casualties, if any, was available at the time. Two puppet policemen were known to have been killed, however, and four officers wounded. A number of civilians were also killed or wounded in the attack.

Ninwa Province.
Al-Mawsil.

US troops gun down six people in al-Mawsil Monday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12:45pm Baghdad time Monday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that US troops killed a father, his son, and is nephew in an attack in the northern city of al-Mawsil at dawn Monday.

AMSI reported the spokesman for the puppet police command of al-Mawsil as reporting the killing, adding that the incident took place in the as-Salam neighborhood on the left (northeast) bank of the Tigris River in the city. The Americans claimed that the three were “wanted men.”

The spokesman said that American forces also shot and killed three brothers in the al-Bakr neighborhood, also on the left bank of the Tigris in al-Mawsil at dawn Monday. He said that the US forces justified this killing by saying that it was a mistake and that they had taken the three brothers for “gunmen” who were aiming to attack them.

Tall ‘Afar.

Shi‘i Turkoman Council in al-Mawsil says Kurdish parties carried out 27 March bombings of civilians in Tall ‘Afar, sparking “retaliatory” massacre later that night.

In a dispatch posted at p12:11pm Baghdad time midday Monday, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq (AMSI) reported that the Shi‘i Turkoman Council, one of the more important Turkoman parties in al-Mawsil, has issued a statement blaming the pro-American Kurdish separatists leadership for carrying out the bombings of civilian targets in Tall ‘Afar on Tuesday, 27 March. Those bombings killed some 70 people and prompted pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarians to massacre over 70 Sunnis in “reprisal.”

AMSI reported the Turkoman Shi‘i Council as saying that the bombings served the interests of the Kurdish movement that aspires to steal what it called the “Turkoman area” of Tall ‘Afar.

Demonstrators who took to the streets after the Tuesday bombings placed blame for the atrocities directly on the Kurdish separatist leaders and their American military backers, saying that it was they who let the explosives-laden truck to pass and then detonated it by remote control − maintaining that there was no “suicide driver” as the news media widely reported.

The Turkoman statement denounced the Kurdish separatist militia, the Peshmergah, saying that Peshmergah gunmen prevented puppet police from stopping and inspecting the truck bomb.

The Council also denounced the fact that some Shi‘i parties were ignoring testimony about this evidence out of partisan motives.
