Two bombers detonate trucks full of chlorine gas explode, killing 11 and wounding 89 more in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah Friday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 1:01pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two individuals driving two tank trucks filled with chlorine gas blew themselves up in two different areas near the city of al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad, on Friday afternoon, killing, asphyxiating, and injuring many.
Later, in a dispatch posted at 6:15pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a total of 11 people had died and 89 others had suffered from asphyxiation following the two chlorine gas tanker explosions in al-Fallujah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Dr. Muhammad Isma‘il as saying that the casualty count released by the occupation forces − according to which 350 people were killed or injured − was highly exaggerated.
Dr. Isma‘il said that the first explosion took place at the entrance to the residential complex in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah when a driver blew up his tanker full of toxic chlorine gas by a puppet police command post in that area Friday afternoon. That blast killed six puppet policemen and two civilians, one of them a child. Another 79 Iraqis, including 27 children and 19 women, suffered injury from asphyxiation as the chlorine gas spread. There were also cases of fainting and loss of consciousness.
The second explosion targeted the home of Shaykh Khamis al-Husnawi, the Shaykh of one of the feuding al-Bu ‘Isa tribes in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah. Shaykh al-Husnawi was known for his denunciations of al-Qa ‘idah and for calling on tribesmen to join the puppet “al-Anbar Salvation Council Police,” the correspondent reported.
Medical sources said that that second blast killed one of al-Husnawi’s wives and two of his children and caused poisoning to 10 other people. Dr. Isma‘il indicated that the majority of those who suffered from asphyxiation have responded to treatment, although a few remain in critical condition.
‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, where the attacks took place, is a suburb located about 7km southwest of al-Fallujah − a city located 60km west of Baghdad.
Iraqi Resistance fighters assault puppet army camp in al-Fallujah Friday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:57am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance men armed with light and medium weapons and RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenades attacked a puppet Iraqi army camp in northern al-Fallujah on Friday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the al-‘Askari neighborhood as saying that Resistance men attacked houses that the puppet troops have taken over and turned into a camp for themselves. The puppet troops fired back, sparking a gun battle that lasted for 15 minutes.

Men in puppet regime cars and uniforms attack Sunni village, set fire to houses, abduct 10 people, as other sectarian attacks continue.
In a dispatch posted at 2pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that men wearing puppet regime uniforms and driving puppet government cars attacked the predominantly Sunni village of ‘Ali az-Zakam in northern Baghdad, beating women and children, abducting 10 local residents, and burning down a number of local homes.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that over the last two days the bodies of 16 individuals had been found in the occupied Iraqi capital. The bodies were found bound and shot in the head and all showed signs of having been tortured − as is common for people captured by the Shi‘i sectarian militias and puppet regime security forces.
In a separate sectarian militia attack, Shi‘i sectarian militiamen attacked the mixed Sunni and Shi‘i neighborhood of al-Washshash in western Baghdad sparking a gun battle. Iraqi puppet army troops then arrived on the scene and the sectarian militiamen fled.
In another incident, a rocket landed in the al-Muwasilat neighborhood of the al-Bayya‘ district of southern Baghdad, killing a whole family as they slept together in one room of their home.
Mysterious bomb targets Baghdad civilians Friday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:54am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that one civilian was killed and four more wounded when a bomb exploded in a Baghdad neighborhood on Friday.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source in ash-Shu‘lah district as saying that a bomb went off by passers by. The correspondent indicated that the explosive device was targeted on civilians.

Powerful car bomb kills at least five in al-Mahmudiyah amidst rising number of mysterious explosions targeted at civilians.
In a dispatch posted at 12:37pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a powerful car bomb exploded in a market in the al-Mahmudiyah area, about 25km south of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the blast came from a car that was packed with explosives and parked near the entrance to the city market. The explosion killed at least five people and wounded 11 more. The witnesses said that the number of victims is likely to rise in coming hours and the correspondent noted that the target of the attack appeared to be impoverished people who regularly go to the local mosque to buy their daily necessities.
The correspondent noted that in recent weeks there has been a marked rise in mysterious bomb and car bomb attacks targeting civilians.

Puppet Scorpion Brigade commander survives assassination attempt in al-Hillah, following ban on pro-Muqtada as-Sadr demonstration Friday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:01pm Makkah time midday Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb exploded by the motorcade in which the commander of the puppet “Interior Ministry” Scorpion Brigade was riding through al-Hillah, about 60km south of Baghdad on Saturday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported puppet police sources as saying that the bomb, which had been planted by the side of a road in the Nadir neighborhood, went off by the motorcade of Colonel ‘Abbas al-Jabburi, damaging one of the cars in the column and killing one of the colonel’s bodyguards. Five more of the guards were wounded in the attack.
Puppet security men quickly closed off the area and searched the area but found nothing. The correspondent reported that the mood in al-Hillah was tense after authorities banned a planned demonstration by supporters of pro-Iranian sectarian cleric Muqtada as-Sadr on Friday that was intended to protest arrests by the puppet regime of members of the as-Sadr movement.

Resistance bomb kills puppet policeman in al-Mawsil Saturday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:57am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol in the Sumar neighborhood of southeastern al-Mawsil in northern Iraq on Saturday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source in the neighborhood as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of a road in the ara went off by a patrol, killing damaging a patrol car and killing one puppet policeman and wounding a second.

British soldier killed in operations around al-Basrah.
In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that one British soldier was killed and three more wounded in various armed attacks around the southern city of al-Basrah, 550km southeast of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that British forces raided the al-Hindiyah neighborhood, 7km north of al-Basrah in another of their operations. As they were leaving the area, three RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenades struck one of their armored vehicles, disabling it and killing one British soldier and wounding three more of them.
The correspondent also reported a source in the village of Tariq, north of al-Basrah, as saying that residents of the area threw stones at British troops who entered their area on Friday in order to carry out searches. The British called on demonstrators to stop throwing stones, but as they continued to do so, the British opened fire on them.
Four 82mm mortar rounds blasted into the British headquarters in the former presidential palaces in the al-Basrah area on Friday. The shells scored direct hits and sent smoke billowing into the sky.
