American soldier reported killed in Resistance bombing near al-Fallujah Thursday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 5:27pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol south of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Bu Salih village − members of the al-Bu ‘Isa tribe, the largest tribe in the al-Fallujah area and west of it − as saying that a US patrol came into their area and a bomb went off by them. The blast destroyed a Humvee, killing one US soldier and wounding two more of them in addition to wounding the crew members of the vehicle. Afterwards, the Americans closed off the entire area.
Unknown armed men kidnap boy for exchange with puppet policeman father.
In a dispatch posted at 5:27pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that armed men kidnapped the son of a puppet policeman in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah, just south of al-Fallujah and threatened to kill him if his father does not turn himself over to them within 24 hours.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that armed me raided the home of Ahmad ‘Abd as-Salam al-‘Isawi, a member of the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah puppet police, and searched the dwelling. They took a Kalashnikov and abducted his seven-year-old son ‘Umar and threatened to kill him in 24 hours if the father failed to surrender to them. ‘Abir Khalaf al-‘Isawi, the puppet policeman’s wife, said that the armed men had no concern about any humanitarian issues, and simply said that if her husband wanted to turn himself in to them he had to come alone to the market of ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah for the trade for his son.
US ban on motor vehicles in Hit enters second month.
In a dispatch posted at 6:16pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American ban on motor vehicles in the city of Hit, 180km northwest of Baghdad, entered its second month in the city.
The Hit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that residents are enduring great hardship as a result of the continuing restrictions.

Five Resistance groups reportedly form unified command and common organization, in opposition to call to join al-Qa‘idah.
In a dispatch posted on Thursday, Quds Press reported that a source close to the Resistance organization the Islamic Army in Iraq, one of the largest Resistance groups, said that five major Resistance groups had agreed to unite their armed efforts and political positions.
The source told Quds Press that leaders of the Islamic Army, the Army of the Mujahideen, the Army of the Rashideen, the 1920 Revolution Brigades, and the Islamic Resistance Front (Jami‘) held meetings over three consecutive days to reach agreement on uniting their efforts in resisting the occupation and its stooges and uniting their political positions. The groups will also take one common name and chose a general commander, according to the source.
The source told Quds Press that the organizations will announce the conclusion of their discussions, the new name for the group and the name of their commander in a joint communique´. He said that all the groups had agreed to set up a united front organization and a united Shura (Consultative) Council.
The move comes two days after a voice message issued by the Amir of the group known as the Islamic State of Iraq − a prominent member in which is the al-Qa‘idah organization − in which he called on all the Iraqi Resistance groups to join the “Islamic State of Iraq and take oaths of allegiance to him.
Four US Marines reported killed in Resistance bomb attack on western Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 6:16pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US Humvee in the al-‘Amiriyah district in Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from al-‘Amal ash-Sha‘bi Street in the area that Resistance fighters planted two bombs, the first a dummy and the second real and ready to be detonated by remote control, about 40 meters from one another on the street.
Witnesses reported that US Marines noticed the first bomb − the dummy − as they were supposed to do − and halted about 40 meters from the device, right by the location of the concealed genuine explosive. The Resistance men then detonated the genuine bomb, completely destroying a US vehicle and killing four American Marines. Also destroyed was a robot used by bomb disposal teams. Afterwards, US troops transported the bodies of their four dead companions an the wreckage to their base in the former Staff College building in western al-‘Amiriyah.
Iraqi Resistance car bomber targets checkpoint killing two puppet troops Thursday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted Thursday, Quds Press reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a checkpoint in western Baghdad Thursday afternoon.
A source in the puppet army told Quds Press that the Resistance fighter drove his car bom into a checkpoint in the western Baghdad district of al-Yarmuk and detonated his payload, completely destroying the checkpoint and killing two puppet army soldiers and wounding five more of them. The same checkpoint had been targeted by a car bomb attack just days earlier. That attack also resulted in deaths and injuries to puppet military personnel.
Attacks continue in Baghdad Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 5:41pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three persons were killed and seven others wounded, some of them civilians, in two attacks in Baghdad on Thursday.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a car bomb blew up on Kahramanah Square in the al-Karradah district, killing two passersby and wounding six others, most of them civilians. The correspondent reported that the area where the attack took place is a commercial district full of shoppers.
Quds Press reported that the car bomb was targeted on a checkpoint manned by puppet army troops and that the explosion killed eight and wounded more than 20 others according to information supplied by the puppet security authorities.
One person was killed and another wounded when a mortar shell landed in an area of Baghdad Thursday. A puppet police source said that the mortar shell landed on a road in the so-called “Madinat as-Sadr” area of Baghdad, killing one civilian and wounding a second. A shop was also damaged. The origin of the shell was unknown. The wounded man was taken to nearby ad-Dakhil Hospital and the corpse to the Forensic Medicine Department morgue.

US troops shoot Iraqi civilian in Bayji Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 3:16pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops opened fire on a civilian car near the ar-Riyashi fuel station in Bayji, about 200km north of Baghdad on Wednesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American gun fire killed the driver of the car on the spot.

US blasts elementary school near Ba‘qubah Thursday, killing or wounding 30 children.
In a dispatch posted at 4:29pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US aircraft attacked an elementary school near Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad, on Thursday, on the pretext that Resistance fighters were hiding there.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a medical source in Ba‘qubah General Hospital as saying that more than 30 children were killed or injured in the American attack on the al-Maysarah Primary School in al-Mafraq, northeast of Ba‘qubah.
The source indicated that most of the victims were in the sixth grade of primary school and that they were taken to hospitals in the area after the American attack.
Resistance car bomber strikes puppet “Shock Troops” in Ba‘qubah Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 4:29pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a checkpoint manned by puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” and puppet army troops in Ba‘qubah on Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the Ba‘qubah al-Jadidah section of town as saying that three puppet “Shock Troops” were killed and six more wounded in the attack. Afterward, US forces imposed a security cordon around the area, which was near Ba‘qubah General Hosptial where the bodes of the wounded were taken. The three dead bodies were transported to a military base.

Resistance bomb rips through US Humvee in al-Latifiyah Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:16pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol near the center of al-Latifiyah, about 30km south of Baghadad Thursday morning.
The al-Latifiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by a road in the Kilo 37 area exploded by a passing American patrol, damaging a Humvee and killing or wounding all the US troops who were aboard it.

Car bomber blasts busload of workers in al-Iskandariyah.
In a dispatch posted at am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported an Iraqi puppet police source as saying that an unknown person drove an explosives-laden car into a bus carrying employees of a state-owned company in al-Iskandariyah, about 40km south of Baghdad, killing four and wounding 24 more.
The al-Hillah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the puppet police source as saying that the car bomb slammed into a bus carrying employees of the General Establishment for Mechanical Industries in al-Iskandariyah.
The correspondent noted that two days earlier, unknown armed men shot and killed the General Director of that government-owned company, Hatim ‘Ali Muhsin near his home in al-Iskandariyah.

US troops kill Iraqi puppet army soldier by mistake in al-Mawsil Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:39pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops raided a place they believed to be a hideout for Resistance fighters in the northern city of al-Mawsil on Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police who asked not to be identified as saying that in fact, however, the men in the location were Iraqi puppet army soldiers, the Americans’ allies. The puppet troops had been in the place preparing an ambush for Resistance fighters when the Americans attacked them by mistake. One puppet soldier was killed and three more wounded by the American gunfire. The source said that the Americans were investigating the incident.

Armed men kill Jaysh al-Mahdi commander, puppet policeman in al-Basrah.
In a dispatch posted at 4:22pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier armed men shot and killed a prominent commander of the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in the southern city of al-Basrah.
The al-Basrah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Iblah area as saying that a Jaysh al-Mahdi commander known as “Muhammad” was shot and killed by armed men.
In a separate incident armed men shot and killed an Iraqi puppet policeman in al-Basrah. Witnesses said that men in a civilian car opened fire on a puppet policeman from Harathya, killing him.
