Resistance car bomber blasts into US checkpoint reportedly killing or wounding nine Americans Thursday night.
In a dispatch posted at 10:07pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-packed car into a checkpoint manned by US troops south of the city of al-Qa’im near the border with Syria at 8:45pm local time Thursday night.
The al-Qa’im correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a first lieutenant in the al-Bu Mahall puppet police in the middle of the city as saying that the car bomb exploded by a checkpoint in the south of the city were US troops were concentrated just an hour after the start of the curfew that has been imposed nightly for a full year.
The source said that at least nine US troops were killed or wounded in the attack. The correspondent reported that thick smoke rose from the scene of the blast and US helicopters flew in over the area at low altitude shining searchlights on the scene.
Al-Habbaniyah.
Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee in al-Habbaniyah midday Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 3:40pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the al-Habbaniyah area, about 70km west of Baghdad at midday Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Habbaniyah area as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road went off by a US patrol, totally destroying a Humvee and killing or wounding all the troops aboard it. Afterwards, US forces closed off the street and cordoned off the entire area and then proceeded to haul away the vehicle.

In a dispatch posted at 3:12pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five mortar rounds at the US military base in al-Habbaniyah, about 70km west of Baghdad, but two of the shells went astray and struck the civilian area of the town, inflicting casualties among the Iraqi residents.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that five mortar shells were fired at the US base, but two of them landed in the as-Sisi area nearby, killing five Iraqis and wounding six more, including some children. The witnesses said that the three other shells did explode inside the American base, sending up plumes of smoke.

Al-Qa‘idah group blows up cellular phone tower in ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Islamic State in Iraq Resistance organization destroyed a cellular telephone communication tower just three days after the phone network was re-established in most neighborhoods of the city of ar-Ramadi.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Islamic State fighters planted explosives under one of the towers in the al-Hawz area in the middle of the city and blew it up.
The correspondent reported that the internet had been banned earlier in the city when land lines and cellular telephone lines were knocked out two years ago.
US, puppet forces arrest more than 50 men and boys in raids in Thursday afternoon raids in ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at 3:43pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that for the last two hours, US troops accompanied by their Iraqi puppet army allies had been carrying out a campaign of raids and arrests in the neighborhoods of al-Iskan, ad-Dubbat, and the “20 Street” area of ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US and puppet troops, who were carrying out their raids under air cover from helicopter gun ships and American war planes, had so far managed to arrest more than 50 local residents ranging in age from 14 to 60 years.
The local men and boys abducted by the Americans were being hauled off to the US base to the west of the city. Rumors were circulating that the US troops had found and confiscated stockpiles of weapons.
Puppet regime troops gang rape widow east of ar-Ramadi Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 3pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that puppet army troops stormed the home of a woman in the al-Bu Khalifah area to the east of ar-Ramadi on Tuesday and gang raped her.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported religious leaders and tribal shaykhs in ar-Ramadi as saying that the puppet troops raided the woman’s home and locked her in one of the rooms. Four of the puppet troops then took turns raping her.
The victim, a 39-year old Iraqi widow with two children, lost her husband when he was killed fighting the Americans during the occupation of Baghdad in 2003. She lived in al-Bu Khalifah, the home area of her late husband’s tribe.
One religious leader in ar-Ramadi, who asked not to be identified, told Mafkarat al-Islam that the woman lay bleeding in the room until her sons found her unconscious. The correspondent said that the tribe refused to reveal the name of the woman.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance fighters assault house used by American troops as a headquarters south of al-Fallujah Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:24pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US military camp south of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad, on Thursday morning.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the an-Nu‘aymiyah area as saying that Resistance men assaulted a house in their area that the Americans had commandeered and turned into a camp for themselves. The residents who witnessed the attack said that the Resistance men fired light and medium weapons and rocket launchers, inflicting heavy material damage on the house. The witnesses believed that there must have been casualties among the Americans, given the extent of damage done to the building, and since a Medevac helicopter landed near the camp after the attack.
Ar-Rutbah.
Resistance bomb destroys fuel tanker supplying US forces in ar-Rutbah Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 2:44pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a tanker hauling fuel to US military bases in ar-Rutbah, near the border with Jordan, in far western Iraq at about 9am local time Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ar-Rutbah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by a road in the city went off by the tanker, which belonged to one of the puppet “government” companies and was used to haul fuel to the Americans. The witnesses said that the blast totally burned and destroyed the tanker, killing its Iraqi driver.

Four US Marines reported killed in Resistance bomb attack in Abu Ghurayb Thursday afternoon.
In a bulletin posted at 4:17pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US Humvee in the Abu Ghurayb area, about 30km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the 1920 Revolution Brigades, the Resistance organization that carried out the attack, as saying that a 22kg bomb that they had planted in the road went off by a US Marine Humvee, killing four Marines.
After the explosion, US forces surrounded the az-Zaytun area where the attack took place and evacuated the dead and hauled away the wreckage of the still-smoldering vehicle.

Resistance pounds Saddam International Airport with missiles at noon Thursday.
In a dispatch posted Thursday Quds Press reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four rockets at the US-occupied Saddam International Airport southwest of Baghdad at midday Thursday.
Quds Press reported an Iraqi shipping source as saying that four rockets landed inside the airport, two of them hitting the main, multi-story building and sending clouds of black smoke billowing into the sky. The source said that the attack inflicted no casualties but did heavily damage a building.
US forces storm onto al-Mustansiriyah University campus early Thursday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 3:42pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces stormed onto the campus of al-Mustansiriyah University in Baghdad at 1pm local time Thursday afternoon.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the Americans surrounded the campus in eastern Baghdad and then attacked. They disarmed the university guards and stormed onto the campus and through the halls, carrying out meticulous searches while not allowing any of the University security personnel or administrative staff access to what was going on. No explanation for the sudden raid was offered.
US forces, puppet “National Guards” make widespread, random arrests in al-Ghazaliyah midday Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:44pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that puppet “National Guards” backed up by US forces were engaged at that hour in carrying out indiscriminate raids and arrests of civilians in western Baghdad.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the predominantly Sunni al-Ghazaliyah area as saying that the puppet forces with US support were arresting people randomly off the street, in markets and shops in the area for no apparent reason. US forces arrested a large group of people and then later let them go. Others are still being held in an operation that was still going on at the time of reporting. US forces were concentrated at the entrances and exits to the district where the puppet “National Guard” forces were carrying out their arrests.
Resistance bomb kills four puppet policemen in Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 11:48am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by joint force of puppet police and puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in the az-Za‘faraniyah area of eastern Baghdad
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a bomb that had been planted in the area went off, setting fire to a patrol vehicle and destroying it completely. Four puppet policemen who were aboard it were killed. A troop transport belonging to the puppet “National Guard” was also slightly damaged in the blast, the source said.

In a dispatch posted at 11:47am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance men assaulted a checkpoint manned by puppet security forces in western Baghdad on Thursday morning.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a checkpoint manned by puppet “Order Protection Police” on the highway that runs past the al-Khadra’ neighborhood of western Baghdad was attacked by Resistance men armed with light and medium machine guns. The source said that the attack sparked a battle but had no further details. Eyewitnesses said that the assault left at least two puppet policemen dead and several others wounded.

Resistance ambushes US column in ad-Dulu‘iyah, sparking fierce battle Thursday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that extremely fierce fighting was underway at that hour in the area of ad-Dulu‘iyah, about 90 north of Baghdad, after an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US column and then another bomb went off by the same group of Americans. Resistance fighters then pounced on the US column sparking the battle.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from near the scene of the fighting that the Resistance had come close to finishing off the column, which was made up of seven American military vehicles, and then US warplanes intervened, carrying out savage rocket strikes on the villages of ‘Arab Jabbur and al-Mushkan, located in the area of the fighting.
Quds Press reported that dozens of Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a puppet police station in ad-Dulu‘iyah, seizing weapons and cars and abducting two puppet policemen.
A source in the puppet police told Quds Press that when a US armored patrol arrived to help the puppet police a car bomb went off, followed by another bomb, near the steel bridge in the city.
The source said that US helicopters and fighter bombers then flew in to attack groves and areas around al-Jabbur for more than two hours with rockets and machineguns. Clouds of black smoke could be seen billowing up from the areas hit by US air attacks, but no information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.

Tikrit University students, faculty, staff protest constant raids on campus by puppet regime security forces.
In a dispatch posted at 2:48pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that faculty, staff, and students of the University of Tikrit staged protests to denounce on-going nighttime raids being carried out by puppet regime security forces backed up by the Americans on the campus of their university, located 180km north of Baghdad.
The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported students and faculty members as saying that puppet security forces constantly raid the campus, attacking and arresting students, staff members, and faculty and destroying university and private property and belongings. The puppet regime security men are particularly targeting students who come from the areas of Samarra’, ad-Dulu‘iyah, and from al-Anbar Province.
Bayji.
US ends blockade on Bayji after four days and 80 arrests.
In a dispatch posted at 2:38pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that on Thursday morning, US occupation forces lifted the blockade that they had imposed on the city of Bayji, 200km north of Baghdad about four days earlier.
The Bayji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local residents as saying that the Americans opened the city again after sealing it off for four days and arresting about 80 local people for no apparent reason. During the period of the blockade, the Americans also seized dozens of private cars from local residents.

After mass arrests over two-day period: US forces lift curfew in Samarra’ Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 12:15pm Makkah time midday Thursday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces on Thursday morning lifted the curfew they had imposed two days ago on the city of Samarra’, 120km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that US and Iraqi puppet forces ended the curfew after carrying out massive and savage raids and searches in which many local civilians were arrested and many local cars were confiscated.

Resistance fighters kill Jaysh al-Mahdi gunman Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:47am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance men ambushed a car carrying a member of the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in the Tuz Khurmatu area, about 175km north of Baghdad, on Thursday morning.
The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the area as saying that Resistance men ambushed the car, spraying it with a hail of light machinegun fire, killing the driver, a Jaysh al-Mahdi member, instantly. The Resistance men then successfully left the area.

Resistance bomb disables US Humvee in Ba‘qubah Wednesday night.
In a dispatch posted at 10:59am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by US military patrol on a road north of Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad, at about 9:30pm local time Wednesday night.
The Ba‘qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a bomb that had been planted to the north of the city went off by a US patrol, disabling a Humvee and inflicting casualties. The source provided no further details.

Resistance bomb targets puppet police patrol south of Kirkuk Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:36am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by puppet “Iraqi National Guard” patrol near Kirkuk at about 9am local time Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a bomb that had been planted on the Kirkuk-Bayji road went off by a patrol of puppet Oil Protection police, completely disabling a Humvee and killing one puppet policeman. Three more of the puppet police were wounded. The source said that reinforcements were sent to the scene to close off the area and recover the dead and wounded puppet policemen after the attack.

Resistance car bomb kills two puppet policemen in al-Mawsil Thursday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 4:24pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a puppet police patrol in the northern city of al-Mawsil after noon on Thursday.
The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a Resistance fighter drove a car bomb into the patrol in the ar-Rifa‘i neighborhood on the right (southwest) bank of the Tigris River in the city. The explosion destroyed one patrol vehicle and severely damaged two more of them, killing two puppet policemen and wounding five more of them.
