Following massive US strikes, Resistance withdraws from al-Mal‘ab neighborhood in ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at 5:29pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance had been forced to withdraw from the al-Mal‘ab neighborhood of ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad after a major attack by US forces accompanied by their Iraqi puppet allies on the neighborhood − an attack that was preceded by a savage strikes on the area since dawn Monday.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported civilians who were fleeing the neighborhood, which is the largest in the city, as saying that the US army had taken complete control of al-Mal‘ab and seized all the weapons there and that the Resistance was no longer present in the area. The witnesses said that the Americans deployed snipers atop roofs of buildings and were at the time of reporting engaged in extensive house-to-house searches of the neighborhoods, also going through mosques, shops, and factories.
Rawah.
Resistance batters US base near Rawah with heavy mortars Monday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:11pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the US base near the city of Rawah, 315km northwest of Baghdad, on Monday morning, setting off thunderous explosions inside the American-occupied facility.
The Rawah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the barrage sent plumes of smoke and dust rising from within the base, located 2km west of Rawah.
Al-Hadithah.
Four US Marines reported killed in bombing south of al-Hadithah Sunday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 11:57am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by US patrol in al-Hadithah, 270km northwest of Baghdad on Sunday evening.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses living in Wadi al-Fahimi to the south of al-Hadithah as saying that a bomb, probably made of powerful Austrian explosives, that had been planted by the side of the road went off by a US Marine patrol, destroying a US vehicle completely and killing four American Marines.
After the attack, the surviving Americans closed the road linking the area to al-Hadithah and ‘Anah for a long time. The city of al-Hadithah itself has been under lock down for three months. Despite the stringent US security measures, Resistance operations continue to target US forces on a regular basis.

Resistance car bomb wounds puppet “Iraqi Vice President” Monday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:03pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, an Iraqi Resistance car bomb blew up by a headquarters where the puppet Vice President of Iraq, ‘Adil ‘Abd al-Mahdi, and the puppet “Minister of Townships,” Riyad Gharib, were holding meetings.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the car bomb targeted the puppet “Ministry of Townships” building in Baghdad’s al-Mansur district, when the puppet “Vice President” was inside with Gharib.
In a dispatch posted at 5:23pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a medical source in the US occupied Ibn Sina hospital in the top security area known as the “Green Zone” near the Republican Palace as saying that ‘Adil ‘Abd al-Mahdi, the puppet “Vice President” of Iraq, had been wounded in the bombing that targeted the puppet “Townships” Ministyr.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the source as saying by telephone that ‘Abd al-Mahdi was wounded by shrapnel in the back and right thigh and was currently resting in the hospital under general anesthetic following surgery to remove three pieces of shrapnel from his back. The source had no further details to provide, other than to say that the total number of people killed in the attack as of that hour was over 40 dead and wounded, and that among them were some high-ranking officials in the puppet “Townships Ministry.”
US troops shoot, kill Palestinian in Iraq following Resistance bomb explosion Monday.
In a dispatch posted at 9:20pm Makkah time Monday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops shot and killed one Palestinian refugee in Iraq on Monday. In a separate incident, puppet “National Guards” attacked and robbed a Palestinian family and arrested one of the family members.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Palestine Today Network − a private network for assistance to Palestinian refugees in Iraq − announced that Muwaffaq ‘Abd al-Ghani, 25, who worked as a driver transporting travelers within Iraq, was shot dead by US troops after a bomb that had been planted by the side of a road blew up near a US patrol. As is their habit, the Americans responded by shooting wildly around the area following the explosion and this time killed ‘Abd al-Ghani.
More than 900 Palestinians have been murdered by sectarian death squads in Iraq since the American occupation of the country in the spring of 2003. Approximately 22,000 Palestinians are resident in the country.
Mysterious bomb destroys bus in Baghdad, killing three Monday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:37am Makkah time Monday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three people were killed, one of them a woman, when an explosion ripped through a bus in the middle of Baghdad Monday morning. There were conflicting reports as to whether the explosion was the result of a bomb by the side of the road or an explosive device that had been carried aboard the bus.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in Ibn an-Nafis Hospital as saying that a bomb planted by the side of the road went off by the bus near an-Nidal Stret, destroying it and killing a woman and two other passengers, the remains of whom were taken to the hospital Monday morning.
Another source, however said that it was possible that the bomb had been planted inside the bus.
Fighting between Resistance and puppet “Shock Troops” reported Sunday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:41pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir) were killed in violent clashes with the Iraqi Resistance that raged in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah on Sunday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the fighting broke out after puppet “Shock Troops” raided areas of ad-Durah on the pretext of clamping down on Resistance activity. Fighting raged in the Tu‘mah, al-Mu ‘allimin, and al-Iskan ash-Sha‘bi areas of ad-Durah and left two “Shock Troops” dead.
The correspondent reported that the puppet forces had to call in US troops when they were unable to advance against the Resistance men. American helicopter gunships then flew into the area and war planes came in over head to attack the Resistance fighters. T he Americans also closed off ad-Durah from access to the highway, the double-decker bridge, and surrounding areas.

US air strikes in al-Mada’in kill 15 civilians.
In a dispatch posted at 12:41pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US war planes struck civilian homes in the city of al-Mada’in, 25km southeast of Baghdad and then US forces followed that up with a campaign of raids and searches, arresting 22 local residents.
The al-Mada’in correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that F-16 fighter-bombers struck a number of homes on the pretext that Resistance fighters were staying there and that they were workshops for making car bombs.
Witnesses said that the attacks destroyed four homes and killed more than 15 civilians, many of them women and children. They added that the Americans then send ground troops through the area, arresting 22 local residents on charges of “terrorism” − the US designation for support of the Iraqi Resistance struggle against the occupation.
Al-Miqdadiyah.
Resistance battles puppet police in al-Miqdadiyah Monday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 12:28pm Makkah time midday Monday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Resistance forces battled Iraqi puppet police in the area of al-Miqdadiyah, 85km north of Baghdad on Monday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that fierce fighting raged between the Resistance and puppet police in the area of al-Hajj Mushin Village. Fighters used heavy, medium, and light weapons and machine guns in the battle and several 60mm mortar rounds were fired by the puppet police into the village as well. The mortar shells struck residential houses, however, not the Resistance fighters, and succeeded only in killing a 10-year-old child and wounding two more civilians.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the fighting lasted for about half an hour and that no details on the nature or extent of casualties were available.

Al-Mahmudiyah.
Three US troops reported killed in land mine explosion near al-Mahmudiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 5:42pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance land mine exploded under a US foot patrol in the al-Gharir area west of al-Mahmudiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad.
The al-Mahmudiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a mine that had been planted on the edge of an unpaved farm road went off when a US foot patrol passed over it. The explosion killed three US Marines and wounded two more of them, the witnesses said.
The correspondent reported that US troops surrounded the area and arrested a number of local people in addition to setting fire to poultry yards near the scene of the attack.

Kirkuk.
Resistance car bomber kills eight puppet troops at checkpoint west of Kirkuk.
In a dispatch posted at 1:21pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a puppet Iraqi army checkpoint in the az-Zab area, 35km west of Kirkuk, about 250km north of Baghdad.
The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the car bomber blew up his vehicle in the checkpoint, killing eight puppet soldiers and wounding 10 more of them, according to a preliminary count.
