‘Ar‘ar.
Eight US Marines reported killed in four days of fighting with Iraqi Resistance on Saudi border.
In a dispatch posted at 7:31pm Makkah time Friday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that over the last four days eight US Marines have been killed near the ‘Ar‘ar complex near the Iraqi-Saudi border.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet puppet border guards as saying that two violent battles took place in the last four days between Resistance fighters and US Marines of the Desert Camel division. The source said tha the two battles left eight Americans dead and seven more wounded.
The source, who asked not to be identified, claimed that the Americans also killed 11 of the attacking armed men, all of them Iraqis.
On Friday US forces began setting up observation towers along the border with Saudi Arabia. Each concrete tower is 3.6 meters high
Hit.
US imposes lockdown curfew to last four days in Hit Friday.
In a dispatch posted at 5:23pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces imposed a strangulation blockade on the city of Hit, locking down the city, located 165km west of Baghdad, under a curfew that is to last for four days.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local residents as saying that US troops patrolled the city market and lanes using loudspeakers to announce a curfew starting Friday that is to last for four days. Residents rushed to lock up their shops, leave the markets, and head home.
Residents said that the Americans announced that the lockdown would be in force until next Tuesday morning and warned that any violators risk being shot to death. Residents have thus been prohibited from having Friday congregational prayers and were unable to stock up on necessary supplies to sustain them for the next four days indoors.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance bomb kills four puppet “National Guards” in al-Fallujah Thursday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 10:58am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” in the Nazal neighborhood of al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad at 7pm local time on Thursday night.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of Nazal as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of a main road in the area blew up by a puppet “National Guard” patrol, destroying a Humvee and killing all four puppet “Guards” aboard it.
The witnesses said that the blast was followed by a coordinated Resistance attack using light and medium weapons and RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenades that lasted for 20 minutes, wounding four more puppet “Guards” in the patrol.
Local residents said that Thursday was the first day on which battles between the Resistance and the puppet forces and puppet checkpoints appeared in streets in al-Fallujah. The puppet checkpoints did nothing for the puppet forces, local residents said, however, all they did was search cars without “original” license plates on the grounds that such cars are turned into car bombs for attacks on US and puppet forces.
Baghdad.
Resistance fighters attack, burn home of Iraqi puppet commander of “Baghdad Security Plan.”
In a dispatch posted at 5:15pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked the home of the Iraqi puppet commander of the “Baghdad Secuity Plan” ‘Abbud Qanbar. The Resistance men set fire to large sections of the building and wrote slogans on the walls threatening his life.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters attacked the house in the central Baghdad district of al-Yarmuk. Neither Qanbar nor his family were home at the time, so they set fires to parts of the house and left a messages on the wall saying: “Traitor, we’ve got to your home,” and “We are the men and protectors of Baghdad. If you’re a man try to sleep one night in your house.”
The correspondent reported that the Resistance men then withdrew from the area as large parts of the building went up in flames. Fire trucks arrived in time to save parts of the building or the entire house would have burned to the ground.
US, puppet troops carry out raids in Baghdad district Friday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 12:38pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces and their Iraqi puppet army allies began carrying out raids and searches in the framework of the “New Baghdad Security Plan” in the predominantly Sunni al-Jami‘ah neighborhood of Baghdad on Friday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US troops surrounded the area with 20 various types of vehicle and puppet troops and their vehicles also joined the encirclement as American helicopter gun ships provided air cover for the operation. The US and puppet troops then raided houses close to the home of Salamah al-Khafaji, a woman deputy to the American-installed puppet “Parliament.” No gunfire took place in the course of the American-led attacks.
The correspondent noted that every Friday, Baghdad is placed under curfew from 11am until 4pm to keep large crowds from gathering for congregational prayers.
Salah ad-Din Province.
Ad-Dulu‘iyah.
Ad-Dulu‘iyah in “worst state since US invasion” after 10 days of lockdown and constant US attacks.
In a dispatch posted at 12:51pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces continued their assaults on ad-Dulu‘iyah. For more than 10 days no normal life has been allowed in the locked down city.
Local residents said that ad-Dulu‘iyah was going through its worst time since the US invasion in 2003. Streets are empty, its neighborhoods devastated by air attacks and no news media or international rights groups are on hand to document the situation.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Americans have cut off all running water from the city residents and no food has been allowed into ad-Dulu‘iyah either. The US forces also shut down all electric power in the city.
The residents said that the American troops throw people out of their homes and then US aircraft attack their houses just because they have doubts or suspicions about them. The people watch helplessly as their homes and belongings are reduced in minutes to piles of dust and rubble. And the US helicopter gun ships and warplanes hardly ever leave the skies over the city.
Local residents told the correspondent about Khalaf ar-Rayyis who lived in the al-Jabbur neighborhood. Ar-Rayyis, an employee of the puppet “Ministry of Trade,” went to the Americans to retrieve the body of his nephew from them. The US troops arrested ar-Rayyis on the spot and then his house was destroyed. That incident took place 10 days ago at the start of the American lockdown of ad-Dulu‘iyah, the residents told Mafkarat al-Islam.
In another incident the US forces forcibly threw a family of seven − a mother, four sons, and two daughters − out of their home and then blasted their house with artillery fire, razing it to the ground. Residents of ad-Dulu‘iyah also said that US troops killed a mentally ill man in the city for no reason.
Two US troops reported killed in Friday morning bombing in ad-Dulu‘iyah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:28pm Makkah time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a massive Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US armored vehicle in the middle of ad-Dulu‘iyah, 90km north of Baghdad on Friday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a resident of ad-Dulu‘iyah who had managed to get out of the blockaded city as saying that the large explosive device went off near the Big Market area near the Steel Bridge. The witness said the US troops pulled two soldiers from the armored vehicle, which had burst into flames as a result of the explosion. Both soldiers were dead, the source said.
Although US occupation troops and their puppet Iraqi army allies have surrounded ad-Dulu‘iyah with a large force, they are still coming under Resistance attacks within the city.
Tuz Khurmatu.
Resistance ambushes convoy killing guards of puppet “Foreign Minister” Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:15am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters carried out a coordinated attack on a convoy of the puppet “Foreign Minister” Hushiyar Zibari in the Tuz Khurmatu area, about 180km north of Baghdad on Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source in Tuz Khurmatu, who asked to remain anonymous, as saying that a bomb exploded by one of the cars in the convoy that was on its way from Baghdad back to Zibari’s home in northern Iraq.
After the bomb went off a gun battle erupted between Resistance fighters and the bodyguards. The source indicated that Zibari himself was probably not in the convoy at the time. The battle went on for more than 15 minutes and left three of Zibari’s bodyguards dead and five more of them wounded, two of those extremely severely, the source said.
Balad.
Al-Qa‘idah organization denies Iraqi puppet regime claim that Abu Hamzah al-Muhajir has been wounded.
In a dispatch posted at 10:04am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance organization known as the Islamic State of Iraq had announced denied Iraqi puppet regime claims that the puppet police had wounded Abu Hamzah al-Muhajir, whom they called ash-Shaykh Abu ‘Abdallah al-Majma‘i, or that they had killed his aide.
The Balad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a commander in the Islamic State of Iraq as expressing surprise at the report, and regarding it as a US attempt to inflict psychological damage on the Resistance and its supporters along with the US “New Baghdad Security Plan.”
The spokesman reminded Resistance fighters about the rumors that the Americans spread during the first and second battles of al-Fallujah.
The spokesman told Mafkarat al-Islam: “if the Shi‘i sectarians and the occupation don’t even know his real name until now, how can they have ‘wounded him’ and ‘killed his aide’?”
Later on Friday, US sources also denied the Iraqi puppet regime’s claims that Abu Hamzah al-Muhajir had been wounded.
Diyala Province.
Al-Miqdadiyah.
Puppet “National Guards” carry out raids, arrests in al-Miqdadiyah Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi puppet army carried out a campaign of raids and arrests in the al-Miqdadiyah area, about 85km northeast of Baghdad, on Thursday.
The Diyala Province correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police in the al-Miqdadiyah district, who asked to remain anonymous, as saying that Iraqi puppet “National Guard” raided several homes in the area on Thursday and arrested five local people.
The correspondent reported that the “Guards” carried out their raid in the usual way: smashing household goods and belongings and cursing people as “terrorists.” The “Guards” arrested five people but failed to charge them with anything other than being suspected of carrying out attacks on the puppet military forces. Many local people complained that the puppet “Guards” also stole portable telephones and whatever else was valuable and easy-to-carry from the homes they raided, something they do with no objection from the puppet “Defense Ministry.”
At-Ta’mim Province.
Kirkuk.
Mysterious bombs explode in Kirkuk. Local people suspect pro-regime parties of setting them off.
In a dispatch posted at 12:19pm Makkah time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that four bombs exploded in various parts of Kirkuk, 250km north of Baghdad on Friday morning, destroying a puppet police vehicle and wounding two puppet policemen.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported puppet police eyewitnesses as saying that four bombs went off in the middle and northern part of Kirkuk. One exploded by a puppet provincial police patrol in the al-Qadisiyah district in the north of the city. That blast slightly damaged a patrol car and wounded two puppet policemen.
Witnesses said that two other bombs exploded near the central market in the city, destroying a part of one shop. A fourth bomb went off near the home of a local resident, wounding the son of the owner of the house. The victim was taken to the Kirkuk General Hospital for treatment.
The correspondent reported that many of the bombings inside the city of Kirkuk are unusual in that none of the Resistance groups claims responsibility for them when usually they race to announce their operations. This fact has aroused suspicions in local people that there are legal political parties or forces that are carrying out the bombings to sow confusion.
Wasit Province.
Al-Kut.
US troops arrest Sunnis in southern city of al-Kut.
In a dispatch posted at 5:22pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces accompanied by their Iraqi puppet army allies carried out raids, searches and arrests in the al-Ja‘ifariyah area of southern al-Kut, arresting eight local men.
The al-Mada’in correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the largely Sunni al-Ja‘ifariyah area as saying that the Americans and their Iraqi allies raided houses and arrested people on the pretext that their names appeared on lists of people under accusation by the US authorities. The witnesses said that the Americans led the arrested men off to their “Camp Delta,” the main US camp in the city, for interrogation.
At the present time, the correspondent reported, US forces are carrying out exensive raids and arrests of Sunnis in al-Kut and vicinity.
