US occupation forces seize three houses in al-Khalidiyah, throwing families into the street.

US occupation forces seize three houses in al-Khalidiyah, throwing families into the street.

In a dispatch posted at 4:01pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces took over a group of residential houses in the town of al-Khalidiyah, about 90km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US forces took over the houses to turn them into billets and outposts for themselves on Sunday morning. A US patrol surrounded the area and raided three houses located by the main street, taking them over and throwing their residents out into the street.

Afterwards, the Americans began to fortify the houses, erecting earthen barriers around them planting signs that warned local people not to approach.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance fires mortar barrage into US headquarters near al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 5:04pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four 82mm mortar rounds into the US military headquarters in as-Saqlawiyah, north of al-Fallujah at 10am local time Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in as-Saqlawiyah as saying that the US headquarters located near the Technical Institute came under fire and that explosions could be heard shaking the base and sending plumes of smoke and dust rising into the sky.

Puppet police arrest high school students in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:15pm Makkah time midday Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that puppet police carried out a mass arrest, after the pattern of the US forces, of secondary school students just before their mid-term exams in the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah area near the city of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source in the residential complex as saying that several students of the ‘Ammar ibn Yasir Secondary School for Boys in ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah just before they were to take their mid-term exams. The puppet police arrived with lists of boys to be arrested. The boys were then taken to the puppet police station in the residential area for interrogation.

Some of the witnesses said that the boys were no more than 18 years old and that the puppet police packed them in the trunks of the civilian cars that the police use when they drove them to their headquarters.

The arrests of the teens followed the explosion of an Iraqi Resistance bomb by US forces southeast of al-Fallujah on Sunday morning. Witnesses in the an-Nu‘aymiyah area of southeastern al-Fallujah said that a bomb that had been planted by a road in the area blew up by a passing US patrol at about 7am local time Sunday morning.

Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee southeast of al-Fallujah early Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12:04pm Makkah time midday Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by US troops southeast of al-Fallujah Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in an-Nu‘aymiyah as saying that the bomb, which had been planted by the side of a road in the area, went off by a passing American patrol at about 7am local time Sunday morning.

The explosion totally destroyed one US Humvee, killing or wounding the troops who were aboard it － at least four men. The witnesses said that US troops then surrounded the entire area for more than an hour and a half while they worked to evacuate the dead and wounded.

US artillery, helicopters strike village, destroying five residential houses, killing or wounding members of several families Saturday night.

In a dispatch posted at 12:44pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US artillery and helicopters mounted a violent attack on the village of al-‘Annaz east of al-Fallujah late Saturday night.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that the US attack targeted more than five local residential houses, destroying them completely and killing or wounding the families living there.

The witnesses said that elderly people, women, and children were among the victims. They pointed out that US forces, under the pretext of a search for Resistance fighters, had surrounded and blockaded their village, making life difficult, particularly in the last few days.

Hit.

US tank severely wounds Iraqi man for no apparent reason in Hit Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 11:36am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces opened fire on an Iraqi civilian in Hit, seriously wounding him Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a US tank that was halted on as-Sa‘ah Square at the western entrance to al-Jari Street opened fire on a car that was more than 100 meters away. The correspondent reported that he attack severely wounded the driver of the car and heavily damaged his car. The witnesses said that after the tank opened fire, US troops at other checkpoints suddenly opened fire indiscriminately around their locations.

Al-Hadithah.

Two US troops reported killed in Sunday morning battle near al-Hadithah.

In a dispatch posted at 1:24pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fighting resumed in al-Haqlaniyah near al-Hadithah, on Sunday morning, but this time it was between the Iraqi Resistance and US troops.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Haqlaniyah as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium machine guns and rocket launchers attacked a US patrol at 8:20am local time Sunday morning. Fierce fighting raged between the two sides that lasted for more than half an hour, during which time the Resistance inflicted several casualties on the US forces and completely destroyed one Humvee and disabled a second, killing two Americans and wounding four more of them. The witnesses reported that US forces imposed a tight security perimeter around the area after the battle in order to evacuate the casualties and wreckage.

Resistance men battle puppet police in al-Haqlaniyah, Saturday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting raged between Iraqi Resistance men and puppet Iraqi police in the town of al-Haqlaniyah near al-Hadithah, about 270km northwest of Baghdad on Saturday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Haqlaniyah as saying that men armed with light and medium machine guns attacked a puppet police patrol in the Industrial zone on Saturday afternoon, sparking a violent battle that lasted about half an hour and left some of the puppet policemen wounded.

Baghdad.

Iraqi Resistance near at-Taji shoots down ninth US helicopter in three weeks.

In a dispatch posted at 4:16pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces had shot down a US helicopter near the northern Baghdad suburb of at-Taji over the village of Bani Tamim.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that three US helicopters were prowling the skies in the area since Sunday morning providing air cover for US foot patrols in the at-Tamayimah area. The Resistance opened fire intensely on the helicopters, bringing down one of them, the correspondent reported.

The witnesses said that the helicopter crashed quickly to earth and exploded. American forces surrounded the at-Tamayimah and at-Taji area. A short while before the time of reporting, US forces arrested Shaykh Fahd at-Tamimi, a leader of the tribe, along with three of his sons. They also arrested a cameraman who had filmed the attack.

The correspondent reported that at the time of reporting gunfire directed at US troops could be heard near the area that they continued to encircle, but no details on where the shooting was coming from were available.

In a dispatch posted at 2:57pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by the puppet “Ministry of Localities” in Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the explosives-laden car blew up by the front gate of the puppet “Ministry” which is controlled by members of the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Da‘wah Party － the party to which current puppet “Prime Minister” Nuri al-Maliki belongs. The explosion killed six members of the Da‘wah Party and severely wounded four more of them. Large parts of the building, which was used as a party headquarters and meeting place for the party’s newly-created militia, were destroyed.

The correspondent reported that after the attack members of the puppet police went to the ar-Ruwwad men’s clothing store and stained them with the blood of the dead and placed them around the bodies so that when satellite TV crews arrived it appeared as if the dead had been civilians, not militia members. Local residents, who watched as the farce was played out before them, said that satellite TV stations of Kuwait, the Turkish News Agency, Iran’s al-‘Alam TV, the al-‘Arabiyah satellite station from the UAE, and the local ad-Diyar and as-Sumariyah stations all filmed the scene apparently showing “civilian” victims of the attack on the sectarian facility.

Resistance mortars batter US camp in Baghdad’s Jisr ad-Diyala area shortly after midnight Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 4:43pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a barrage of four 82mm mortar rounds into a US base in southeastern Baghdad just after midnight Sunday morning.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of the Jisr Diyala area as saying that the ar-Rustamiyah base, currently occupied by US forces, was struck at about 1am Sunday morning. The shells set of powerful explosions inside the base. US helicopters showed up on the scene and prowled the area over and around the base at low altitude, trying to locate the source of the mortar fire.

Notorious Buratha Mosque center for death squads refurnished with goods stolen from Sunni mosques.

In a dispatch posted at 3:33pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the notorious Buratha Mosque, a Shi‘i place of worship that pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarians have turned into a death squad headquarters, has been refurnished with items stolen from plundered Sunni mosques in Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Buratha, which is presided over by the Iranian cleric Jalal as-Saghir, has been refurnished with carpets, lamps, wooden book cases, air conditioners, and even the racks on which worshippers leave their shoes － all stolen from Sunni mosques around the city, targets of rampant raids and occupations by pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian militias.

Khalid Sa‘id, a local witness, said that the stolen property was installed in the Buratha mosque after a Resistance bomb caused considerable damage to the site. The Buratha mosque is said to have 12 rooms reserved for the torture and murder of captives taken prisoner by the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian death squads

Ad-Dawr.

Resistance car bomber blasts puppet police directorate in ad-Dawr Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 11:52am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a puppet police directorate in ad-Dawr, about 150km north of Baghdad on Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a Resistance fighter drove a car bomb into the puppet police directorate in the ad-Dawr area and blew up. Initial reports said that the explosion killed eight puppet policemen and severely wounded eight more of them. Those figures are expected to rise, however, the correspondent said, as operations were still under way at the time of reporting to dig casualties out of the puppet police offices. Large parts of the building housing the puppet police directorate and the adjacent district government office building were destroyed in the blast.

In a dispatch posted at 9:10pm Makkah time Sunday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the toll of dead and injured in the car bomb attack on the puppet police station in ad-Dawr had risen to 31 dead and wounded.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a medical source as saying that all the dead and injured were puppet policemen and that one of them was the director of the station who was killed.

The correspondent reported from the scene of the blast that the explosion had virtually destroyed the entire building and burned up 11 patrol cars.

Bayji.

Resistance fighters ambush, kill puppet police lieutenant colonel in Bayji Saturday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:56am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Resistance men ambushed the motorcade of a high-ranking puppet police officer in the city of Bayji, about 200km north of Baghdad, killing him and seriously wounding two of his companions. Two of the attackers were also killed in the operation which took place on Saturday evening.

The Bayji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that Resistance men attacked the motorcade of Lieutenant Colonel Jamal Muhammad, the Director of the “Crime Fighting Office” in the city. The battle left Muhammad dead along with two of the Resistance men, the source said, adding that the rest of the Resistance attackers withdrew from the scene after the battle.

Babil Province.

Al-Mahmudiyah.

Resistance fighters ambush US forces, destroying two Humvees in al-Mahmudiyah early Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:35pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed US forces in al-Mahmudiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad on Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Ansar as-Sunnah Resistance group ambushed US forces, destroying two Humvees and then withdrawing from the area. The correspondent, who visited the scene of the attack found pools of blood, the wrecked US vehicles and empty shell casings around the scene. American forces responded with heavy air patrols by warplanes, particularly over the as-Sa‘idat, al-Gharir, and ad-Dulaym areas around the International Highway.

Al-Huwayjah.

US troops arrest Mosque Imam in al-Huwayjah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:41am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces together with their Iraqi puppet army allies launched another campaign of raids and searches in al-Huwayjah southwest of Kirkuk, arresting three persons, one of whom was the Imam of a mosque.

The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the joint forces raided several homes in the al-‘Abbasi area south of al-Huwayjah, arresting the Imam of the al-‘Abbasi Mosque along with two other people.

Ninwa Province.

Tall ‘Afar.

Four explosions shake US base in Tall ‘Afar late Sunday night.

In a bulletin posted at 11:25pm Makkah time Sunday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that four explosions shook the US base northeast of Tall ‘Afar a short while earlier.

The Tall ‘Afar correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that plumes of smoke rose over the base after the attack as sirens wailed inside the US-occupied facility.

Sinjar.

Resistance ambush wipes out car load of new recruits to puppet security forces.

In a dispatch posted at 5:05pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a car carrying a group of new recruits to the puppet Iraqi security forces serving the US occupation in an incident that took place in northern Iraq Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that Resistance fighters ambushed a car carrying new recruits to the puppet border guards, spraying the vehicle with a hail of machinegun fire on the road between Sinjar and Rabi‘ah.

All the recruits were killed in the ambush, after which the Resistance fighters left the scene. The source said that the recruits were on their way back home in al-Mawsil after signing up to serve the US occupation at a recruiting center for the puppet border guards in the Sinjar area.
