Ar-Ramadi.
Fierce fighting breaks out in ar-Ramadi Thursday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 7:24pm Makkah time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier fierce fighting broke out between Resistance men and US occupation troops together with their puppet Iraqi army allies in the al-Jam‘iyah neighborhood and around 17 Street in ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the fighting had been going on for about 20 minutes and was still raging under skies full of swarms of American fighter planes.
Earlier, an American sniper shot to death a little girl and her mother in ar-Ramadi. US snipers are posted atop the roofs of numerous buildings in the city and one of them shot and killed Ibtihal Jasim and her daughter Farah as they passed by the long-abandoned building of the al-Mustafa Private Hospital.
US offers reward for help in finding Resistance men shooting down American helicopters.
In a dispatch posted at 7:29pm Makkah time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US military announced Thursday morning that it was offering a money reward open to anyone who can provide information on the Iraqi Resistance men who shot down US helicopters over al-Fallujah, Abu Ghurayb, and the northern Baghdad suburb of at-Taji.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that American troops on foot began entering residential areas to distribute leaflets announcing that the occupation command was offering an attractive material reward for any cooperation leading to information on the Resistance fighters who are attacking US helicopters.
In what the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent called a “clear attempt to sully the name of the Resistance,” the American leaflets accused the Resistance fighters, to whom it referred as “terrorists” of “aiming to sabotage democracy in your country” and “trying to take life away from you.”
This was the first American announcement of a reward − the amount of which was not specified − for any information leading to the Resistance fighters.
The correspondent reported that after the Americans had finished distributing the leaflets and left ar-Ramadi, local people gathered up the papers to dispose of them.
Al-Fallujah.
US helicopters attack house near al-Fallujah killing one civilian, wounding four more Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 5:49pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US helicopter gun ships struck a residential house in a village to the south of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad at 10am local time Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that American helicopters rocketed a home in the ad-Dawlab area of the village of az-Zawbi‘, south of al-Fallujah, killing one person and wounding four more, including women and children.
The correspondent reported that ambulances raced to the scene as neighbors helped dig the wounded out from under the rubble of their home.
Religious scholar from al-Fallujah arrested Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:10am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet police arrested a member of the al-Fallujah Religious Scholars council on Wednesday. No reason for the action was given.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the al-Fallujah Religious Scholars Council as saying that the puppet police arrested Shaykh Ahmad ‘Inad the Imam of the al-Karmah Mosque as he was trying to enter al-Fallujah through the eastern gate of the city. People entering and leaving the city pass through checkpoints and witnesses said that ‘Inad was carrying an official ID that established that he was a local resident of al-Fallujah and a member of the Religious Scholars Association. The puppet police arrested him anyway.
Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 12:37am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance quickly responded to the launch of the Bush − al-Maliki Offensive against Baghdad with dozens of rocket, mortar, bomb, and car bomb attacks on US troops, puppet Iraqi army troops and security personnel, and the Shi‘i sectarian gunmen allied with them.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that residents of the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah awoke when a Resistance surface-to-surface missile blasted into the US base set up inside a former car dealership on the highway in the area. Plumes of smoke were seen rising from the facility, as sirens wailed inside.
A powerful Iraqi Resistance bomb shook the Baghdad district of al-‘Amiriyah Thursday when it exploded by a US patrol killing or wounding the American troops aboard an armored vehicle, Mafkarat al-Islam reported.
The Americans and their puppet Iraqi military allies prosecuted their “Security Offensive” in the district of al-A‘zamiyah Thursday, keeping the entire area sealed off for the second straight day. The US and puppet forces imposed tight restrictions on movement in the area but arrested no one, Mafkarat al-Islam reported.
The Americans’ puppet Iraqi military allies, however spent the day hunting down Sunni families that had been driven out of other parts of the city by Shi‘i sectarian death squads, but who had been given housing in al-A‘zamiyah by the authority of the Iraqi Resistance, Mafkarat al-Islam reported. The Iraqi puppet regime troops drove the refugee families out of the homes they had made in schools, government buildings, and houses that the Resistance had found for them, on the grounds that the authorities were conducting a “security census” and that the refugees had been found to be “squatting” in property that did not belong to them. For its part the Resistance escalated its attacks in al-A‘zamiyah, Mafkarat al-Islam reported.
An Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US Marine near the al-Khulud school in the western Baghdad district of al-‘Adl at 10am local time Thursday morning. Mafkarat al-Islam reported that another three US troops were wounded in the same district when a Resistance bomb went off by their foot patrol.
Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed US troops and puppet Iraqi “Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in Baghdad’s al-Ghazaliyah district just north of al-‘Adl. One American and four puppet “Shock Troops” were killed in the attack, Mafkarat al-Islam reported.
Resistance bombs exploded in the Baghdad neighborhoods of al-‘Amil, al-Jami ‘ah, al-Jihad, as-Sayyidiyah, al-Fadl, and al-Fahhamah, targeting US, puppet Iraqi and sectarian forces.
A bomb that went off in the al-Hammam district of al-Fadl at 11am Thursday morning killed one Marien and wounded three more. Another bomb in al-Jami‘ah targeted a puppet Iraqi army patrol, killing four puppet troops
Shi‘i sectarian politician’s motorcade attacked in Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 5:51pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a group of armed men attacked the motorcade of a leader of one of the Shi‘i sectarian parties in the United Shi‘i Alliance list in the puppet Iraqi “Parliament” − the alliance of which the current puppet “Prime Minister” is a member.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that armed men attacked the motorcade of ‘Ammar at-Tu‘mah, a prominent leader in the al-Fadilah Party, in Baghdad’s al-Mansur district. The source reported that one of at-Tu‘mah’s bodyguards was wounded in the attack and several cars in the motorcade were damaged. At-Tu‘mah himself escaped injury, however. The al-Fadilah Party is also known as the “Islamic Virtue Party.”
Resistance blasts official newspaper with heavy mortars.
In a dispatch posted at 5:42pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two heavy 120mm mortar rounds at the as-Sabah newspaper print shop. As-Sabah is a newspaper that backs the US-installed Shi‘i sectarian regime in Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the barrage wounded four workers at the printing plant, all of whom were later hospitalized. Heavy damage was also done to the building and printing equipment.
As-Sabah is supported and funded by the puppet regime and this was not the first time that it had come under Resistance attack.
US air raid leaves civilians dead in southern Baghdad Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:34pm Makkah time midday Thursday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US warplanes struck the ‘Arab Jabbur area of Baghdad near the southern suburb of ad-Durah on Wednesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the US fighter-bombers attacked the area, killing a number of local civilians and wounding several more who were taken to hospital with difficulty and after long delays, due to the American blockade around the district. Several houses were completely destroyed in the air raid as well.
Financial official abducted in Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that unknown armed men ambushed Ihsan al-Mashhadani who is chairman of the Agricultural branch of the Financial Supervisory Council, as he was leaving home for his office.
The source added that the abductors took al-Mashhadani to an unknown destination. Nothing more about his fate was known. Local residents who witnessed the abduction told Mafkarat al-Islam that the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi was behind the kidnapping.
US troops arrest official in Jaysh al-Mahdi-dominated Ministry.
In a dispatch posted at 10:58am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces arrested a high-ranking official in the puppet “Iraqi Health Ministry” − a ministry controlled by pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian cleric Muqtada as-Sadr.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that US forces and their Iraqi puppet allies jointly raided the home of Hakim az-Zamili who serves as deputy puppet “Health Minister.” Az-Zamili was arrested but the precise reasons for the move were not known.
The Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia, run by Muqtada as-Sadr, a Shi‘i cleric loyal to Iran’s “conservatives,” is seeking to extend its regional hegemony and step into the shoes of the American occupation in Iraq as it leaves under the blows of the Iraqi Resistance. The US, on the other hand, which has made use of Shi‘i sectarian militias such as the Badr Brigades − close to Iran’s pro-western “liberals” − and the Jaysh al-Mahdi in its drive to occupy and control Iraq is now attempting to reduce Iranian influence in the country.
Salah ad-Din Province.
Balad.
Pro-Iranian gunmen kill 14 members of one family in Balad.
In a dispatch posted at 7:58pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a group of pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen driving two cars, one of them a Landcruiser with the Baghdad license plate number 2546, stormed into the home of ‘Abd al-Wahid Al Mukhlif in ar-Rafi‘at village near the city of Balad, about 80km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local sources as saying that the sectarian militiamen separated the women from the men, driving ‘Abd al-Wahid and his six sons and his grandsons into the courtyard. The gunmen lined the 15 men up against the wall of the house and shot them all amidst curses on “Nawasib” − a pejorative term or Sunnis − and cheers of “Muqtada! Muqtada!” − in reference to Shi‘i sectarian cleric Muqtada as-Sadr, the chief of the Jaysh al-Mahdi.
The correspondent reported eyewitnesses in ar-Rafi‘at village as saying that the pro-Iranian gunmen then at gunpoint robbed the house of all the cash and jewelry that the residents had.
Fourteen men were killed in the massacre. A medical source told Mafkarat al-Islam that ‘Umar Muhammad ‘Abd al-Wahid, a boy who was among the family members, was seriously wounded but was in grave condition. It was not expected that ‘Umar would survive and his death would bring the death toll to 15.
Following the sectarian atrocity, members of the tribe of the victims and of the Iraqi Resistance flocked to the city of Balad and the village where the murder took place promising vengeance on the pro-Iranian killers.
Ad-Dulu‘iyah.
US carries out mass raids, arrests in ad-Dulu‘iyah Thursday following Resistance attack that killed four US Marines.
In a dispatch posted at 7:57pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces announced that they were launching a new military campaign against the city of ad-Dulu‘iyah, about 100km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported US troops surrounded the city and prevented anyone from coming in or going out. The Americans also shut off electricity and turned off the running water supply to the city, in addition to severing all communications with the outside world.
Dozens of local residents of various ages had been arrested as of the time of reporting, all on charges of “terrorism” − i.e., of being associated with the Iraqi Resistance to the US occupation. At the time of reporting, the American forces were concentrated in the al-Amin Secondary School and the al-Mu‘tasim Middle School for girls, the Municipality office building, the Youth Center, and in a number of houses whose residents the Americans threw out into the street. Since the Americans imposed a curfew on the city, they also cancelled mid-term examinations in the schools, since students would be unable to leave home to take any exams.
The correspondent reported that the Americans imposed a curfew on the city and then began an extensive campaign of raids and searches in ad-Dulu‘iyah. The American offensive followed a Resistance bomb attack near the entrance to the city in which four Marines were killed and their vehicle destroyed.
