Resistance fighters hunt, shoot down US Chinook helicopter near al-Fallujah at dawn Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 2:47pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces shot down a US Chinook helicopter in the al-Karmah area, 7km east of al-Fallujah at dawn Wednesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that early Wednesday Iraqi Resistance fighters managed to get into an area restricted to US military personnel only that is located east of al-Karmah near the farm fields and refrigerated storehouses owned by a local merchant. The Resistance men hid themselves among the date palms and citrus groves in the area in order to ambush a Chinook.
The correspondent reported that when the helicopter flew by it was headed towards the al-Habbaniyah airbase west of al-Fallujah. The Resistance fighters fired a surface-to-air missile at the helicopter, scoring a direct hit on the craft and blasting it apart in the air.
At the time of reporting, US forces were searching for 12 to 20 American troops who were believed to have been aboard the aircraft when it was brought down. Swarms of US warplanes and helicopters were at that time prowling the skies over the area, which American forces had also surrounded on all sides.
Four of the Resistance fighters were seen aboard a pickup truck cruising the streets of al-Karmah celebrating the downing of the American aircraft. They had recitation from the Qur’an playing on the pickup radio playing full blast as they drove through the streets.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that one of the Resistance organizations, the “Islamic State of Iraq” had announced that it had developed a new weapon that has recently facilitated the shooting down of US helicopters.
US forces carryout raids, arrests in al-Karmah following shooting down of US Chinook.
In a dispatch posted at 9:40pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces at that hour had completely surrounded the town of al-Karmah with dozens of armored vehicles as F-16 and F-18 warplanes prowled the skies overhead.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American aircraft were dropping masses of flares over the town, turning night into day. Meanwhile American troops and puppet forces raided the Bedouin settlements of al-Jamilah, an-Nassaf, and al-Jahhalin, as well as the Industrial Zone of al-Karmah searching and ransacking on a wide scale, even storming through animal pens in the area. US troops arrested a number of local people, including the director of the al-Karmah Boys School, a religious leader, and a number of peasants.
The American effort was prompted by the shooting down of a US Chinook helicopter over the al-Karmah area at dawn Wednesday. The area where the aircraft went down was completely surrounded by US forces.
Local residents reported that US officers were among the Americans killed aboard the helicopter.
In a dispatch posted at 9:27pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the commander of an Iraqi Resistance organization warned their fighters would open a special graveyard for American helicopters over the next month if US forces are not withdrawn from Iraq.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Abu Mus‘ab al-Falluji, a commander in the Iraqi Resistance group known as the Islamic State of Iraq, as saying “the fighters of the Islamic State of Iraq have begun to fight the occupation in the skies too, and not only on the ground.” In an interview with Mafkarat al-Islam, Abu Mus‘ab al-Falluji warned that they would open a special graveyard just for US helicopters within one month.
Al-Falluji told Mafkarat al-Islam that his men had killed 15 Americans in the helicopter they shot down on Wednesday morning.
The Resistance commander, added: “I want to announce to the Muslims, via your Mafkarat al-Islam, that the coming days will be the hardest days ever for the invaders, something they [the world’s Muslims] will see on their TV screens, God willing.”
Abu Mus‘ab al-Falluji went on to say: “From here we declare that the mosques of the Sunni people are open to whoever wants to surrender himself to the Resistance before his turn to go to hell arrives at the hands of the Resistance fighters.” Al-Falluji added that this offer also included the puppet troops and police who have turned themselves into barricades for the occupation forces.
Asked about the new technology that the Resistance has recently been employing in its battles against the Americans, al-Falluji declined to give any specifics, his only reply being to quote the verse from the Qur’an that says: “If you help God, He will help you and make your foothold firm.” [Qur’an 47:7].
Fierce battle reported in al-Fallujah Wednesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:28am Baghdad time Wednesday morning, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that violent fighting took place between Iraqi Resistance men and puppet police in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Wednesday morning.
A news bulletin posted by the Association on its website quoted a puppet police source as saying that a violent battle with light an medium weapons raged for more than half an hour. The bulletin noted that recently the puppet police in al-Fallujah had begun to carry out mass raids and arrests in many local neighborhoods.
On Tuesday night, the bulletin noted, a bomb exploded in the al-Kamaliyat area of al-Fallujah wounding three firemen who were on a fire truck that was passing at the time of the blast.
Mysterious car bomb explodes in al-Fallujah Wednesday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 9:31pm Baghdad time Wednesday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq reported that a car bomb had exploded in northern al-Fallujah on Wednesday afternoon.
The Association report, posted on its website, quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the explosives-laden car blew up in the al-Bu ‘Alwan area amidst a crowd of people, killing 13 and wounding another 40 more.

Six Iranians arrested by Iraqi puppet police in ar-Ramadi.
In a dispatch posted at 7:40pm Makkah time Wednesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi puppet police forces had arrested six Iranians on the outskirts of the city of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that puppet “al-Anbar Salvation Council” police arrested six Iranian citizens together with an Iraq who formerly lived in the city in the 1990s. All were on their way to the American base that has been set up in the former ar-Ramadi Glassworks west of the city. The Iranians said that they had got lost in the desert near the city by mistake.
The American commander summoned the commander of the Iraqi puppet army into his presence immediately after learning the news of the arrest of the Iranians. The US commander wanted to learn the reason why the Iranians were present in a city like ar-Ramadi, a Sunni city in the western-Iraqi Sunni province of al-Anbar, particularly since they claimed to be on their way to the base.

Shi‘i sectarian gunmen, puppet regime forces take advantage of US action in Sunni neighborhood to attack, destroying 25 homes, seizing Sunni Mosque in effort to purge Sunnis from another district of Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 10:51am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Shi ‘ sectarian forces resumed their attack on the predominantly Sunni part of the al-‘Amil neighborhood. The sectarians set fire to a large number of house, burning them down and occupied a Sunni mosque, raising their flags over it, in attacks carried out on Tuesday.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the Sunni Dawr an-Naft area of al-‘Amil as saying that Shi‘i sectarian militias backed up by puppet Iraqi regime security forces launched repeated attacks on their district in an attempt to occupy the al-Aqtab al-Arba‘ah mosque. For two days Resistance fighters and local defenders beat back their onslaughts and the sectarians failed to attain their objective, prompting US military forces to move into the area.
After the US arrival in force, the Iraqi Resistance fighters withdrew to regroup and maneuver and local residents hid their weapons for fear that the Americans would confiscate them.
The Americans quickly left the area, however, giving the Shi‘i sectarian militias and regime security forces an excellent chance to attack the district, entering it before the local residents realized that the Americans had left. The sectarians spread destruction throughout the neighborhood, killing several local residents and burning and destroying more than 25 homes. They also occupied the Sunni al-Aqtab al-Arba‘ah Mosque and raised their green and black banners over it.

US occupation forces arrest two puppet regime officials in Salah ad-Din Province Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 3:30pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces arrested a high-ranking puppet official in the province along with his brother, an officer in the puppet Iraqi army, on Wednesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in Tikrit, 180km north of Baghdad, reported a source as saying that US troops arrested the puppet General Coordinator of Security Affairs in Salah ad-Din Province. The source added that the Americans also arrested his brother, an officer in the puppet army. The reason for the arrests was not known.
