US troops storm house near al-Fallujah, execute four men for no apparent reason.

US troops reported dead in day of active Resistance attacks in Baghdad.

Resistance bomb kills four western security men working for US military near American “Camp Kalsu” north of al-Hillah.

Resistance hits joint US-Iraqi puppet base with heavy mortars Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 3:46pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six heavy mortar rounds into the headquarters jointly occupied by US forces and Iraqi puppet police and puppet army soldiers in Hit on Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the mortar shells blasted into the headquarters located near the Hit Bridge, sending plumes of smoke billowing up into the sky.

Resistance fida’i fighter kills nine puppet “al-Anbar Salvation Council” police in attack in Hit on Saturday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:01am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fighter wearing an explosive belt blew himself up by a patrol of puppet “al-Anbar Salvation Council” police that was cruising around the city of Hit, 165km northwest of Baghdad on Saturday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the western part of the city near the Hit Bridge as saying that a man approached the patrol and blew himself up. More than nine puppet “Salvation” police were killed and two GMC patrol vehicles were destroyed. Four more puppet “Salvation Council” police were wounded in the attack.

The correspondent reported that residents of the city have suffered at the hands of the puppet “al-Anbar Salvation Council” police who plague them with offensive searches and arrests.

Al-Fallujah.

US troops storm house near al-Fallujah, execute four men for no apparent reason.

In a dispatch posted at 4:23pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops raided a house near al-Fallujah on Saturday-Sunday night and executed a family of four.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Jaffah area near the ‘Ashirat al-Bu ‘Isa area as saying that helicopters landed in the area late Saturday night. US troops immediately poured out and surrounded the area. Then the soldiers, who brought police dogs along with them, attacked one house, blowing the door open with percussion grenades. The US troops stormed inside, locked the women of the house in one room and brought four men out and executed them on the spot for no apparent reason.

The women were only able to get out of the room after hearing the American helicopters take off, whereupon they discovered the bodies of the father of the family, two of his sons and his son-in-law, all shot to death in the courtyard of the house with no explanation.

Resistance men battle US troops in al-Fallujah Saturday-Sunday night.

In a dispatch posted at 10:09am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters battled US troops in al-Fallujah Saturday-Sunday night after American forces arrested several local men on charges of belonging to the Iraqi Resistance.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the ash-Shuhada’ neighborhood as saying that an American force came into their neighborhood to arrest four men it claimed belonged to the Resistance. Fierce fighting broke out after that, the witnesses reported, in which the Resistance men used light and medium weapons against the Americans. No information on the nature or extent of casualties was available, but the witnesses said that the fighting went on for more than half an hour.

Baghdad.

US troops reported dead in day of active Resistance attacks in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 11:08pm Makkah time Sunday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the road from Baghdad to Abu Ghurayb in the Baghdad district of al-Ghazaliyah at about 10am local time Sunday morning. Three US troops were killed and a fourth wounded in the blast, a source in the puppet Iraqi army reported.

Another Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column on the Muhammad al-Qasim Highway. After the blast, Mafkarat al-Islam reported, a US military vehicle was seen with a fire burning in its front section. After the attack, the American soldiers appeared to have lost their mental balance and were firing indiscriminately everywhere around them, making it impossible for anyone to approach the scene to try to determine the nature or extent of casualties that might have resulted from that attack.

Iraqi Resistance forces fired four Grad rockets into the US base set up in a former meat-packing plant to the south of Baghdad on Sunday morning. The barrage sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky for a whole hour after the strike, witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam.

An Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US Marine in the al-Mansur district of Baghdad Sunday. Witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Marine was hit in the chest by the sharpshooter’s bullet causing him to “breathe his last on the pavement of Abu Ja‘far al-Mansur,” as one witness put it.

An Iraqi Resistance land mine exploded by the al-Maghribiyah buildings on Hayfa Street, killing one soldier and wounding three more, Mafkarat al-Islam reported.

US occupation troops disarmed a bomb that Resistance fighters had planted on a road in ar-Rahmaniyah, just minutes before a high-ranking US commander’s military column was to drive past. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that guards at the notorious Shi‘i Buratha Mosque, a center for the torture and murder of Iraqi Sunnis, warned the Americans that “terrorists” had planted a bomb in their path.

The US troops disarmed the bomb and paid the Shi‘i sectarian guards a reward for their service. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported that the guards who tipped off the Americans were named Husayn Nasir and Rida Abu Khamis, and that local people told the Resistance the names of the two men so that they could be punished.

An Iraqi Resistance marksman shot a US soldier in the Baghdad al-Jadidah area, Sunday. Local eyewitnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the American was killed but a puppet police source said that he was only badly wounded and did not die in the attack.

Renewed mortar assaults on al-A‘zamiyah kill 10 more civilians on Sunday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 8:30pm Baghdad time Sunday night the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq reported Sunday that pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian militias had resumed mortar attacks on the Baghdad district of al-A‘zamiyah Sunday afternoon, firing 15 mortar shells into the areas of al-Kamm and ‘Umar ibn ‘Abd al-‘Aziz Street around 4pm.

The Association declared that 10 people had been killed and another 30 wounded in the barrage and taken to nearby an-Nu‘man Hospital for treatment.

Resistance fighters foil attempt by Jaysh al-Mahdi to storm Sunni mosque in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 5:02pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia launched an attack on the al-Aqtab al-Arba‘ah Mosque in the middle of the al-‘Amil neighborhood of southern Baghdad Sunday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that four heavily-armed Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen got out of four late-model cars in order to storm the mosque, but at that moment a detachment of Iraqi Resistance fighters were in the vicinity and they intercepted the sectarian attackers. A battle ensued in which three of the pro-Iranian gunmen were killed and two of their cars captured. The Resistance men also seized five Kalashnikov assault rifles and a hand grenade. The other Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen fled.

Resistance mortar shell slams into house of puppet army general.

In a dispatch posted at 4:59pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance mortar shell had blasted into the home of a high-ranking commander in the puppet Iraqi army, destroying part of the house, starting a fire, and killing three guards.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Yarmuk district of Baghdad as saying that a mortar round slammed into the house of Major General Tariq ash-Shatti, one of the top commanders in the puppet Iraqi army. The witnesses said that fire trucks had rushed to the scene and were working on extinguishing the blaze at the time of reporting. It was not known for certain whether the general had been home at the time of the attack.

Car bomb targets sectarian fighters in Baghdad Sunday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 11:08pm Makkah time Sunday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a car bomb exploded in the middle of Baghdad on Sunday killing or injuring 11 people.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in Medical City General Hospital as saying that a car that had been packed with explosives and parked by the side of a road blew up a short while earlier near the Bab al-Mu‘azzam car park. The attack was targeted on a group of Shi‘i sectarian fighters and among the casualties was a major in the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir).”

Unknown assailants attack employees of puppet “Ministry” Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 3:18pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that unknown armed men attacked employees of the puppet “Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs” in Baghdad, killing two of them and wounding three more Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source who asked not to be identified as saying that unknown armed men carried out the attack on the employees on the old Qanat Mashru‘ al-Jaysh Street in eastern Baghdad. The attackers opened fire on the employees, killing two and wounding three. The latter were taken to one of the old hospitals in the area for treatment.

Mortars blast Sunni neighborhood of Baghdad Saturday, puppet forces prevent people from evacuating wounded to hospitals.

In a dispatch posted at 1:59pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that several Katyusha rockets blasted into the al-Furat neighborhood of Baghdad on Saturday night.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the predominantly Sunni neighborhood as saying that the rocket attack killed several civilian residents and wounded several more, including women and children. Several homes in the area were also heavily damaged in the attack.

Witnesses reported that puppet security forces at checkpoints prevented local people from taking the wounded to nearby hospitals, threatening them against trying to leave the neighborhood again for any other reason. Local residents said that their neighborhood is virtually sealed off by puppet regime security forces, forces that are dominated by pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian militias.

Resistance blasts puppet “Anti-Terrorism Police” headquarters with mortar Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 1:12pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three 82mm mortar rounds into the puppet “Anti-Terrorism Police” headquarters in western Baghdad on Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-‘Amiriyah district as saying that the barrage set off powerful explosions inside the facility and sent plumes of smoke and dust rising from the building.

Resistance fighters kill three Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen in Baghdad Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 1:05pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed three pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen in southwestern Baghdad Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a group of Resistance fighters ambushed a late-model civilian car being driven by three Jaysh al-Mahdi pro-Iranian gunmen in the al-‘Amil neighborhood of southwestern Baghdad.

Witnesses said that the Resistance men sprayed the car with a hail of light machine gun bullets, killing the three Jaysh al-Mahdi militiamen instantly. After carrying out the attack, the Resistance fighters left the scene.

Armed men attempt to storm passport department in Baghdad sparking gun battle Sunday.

In a dispatch posted at 1:02pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a violent fight took place between unknown armed men and the guards posted at the headquarters of the passport department in the Baghdad district of al-Karakh near the top security area around the Republican Palace called the “Green Zone” by US troops. The battle erupted when the armed men attempted to storm inside the passport office.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the reason for the attack was unknown but that the battle was still under way at the time of reporting.

Three bombs explode in Baghdad Sunday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 11:58am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three bombs exploded in different parts of Baghdad on Sunday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that one bomb exploded in the al-Kasrah area near al-A‘zamiyah in northern Baghdad, killing three people and wounding three more. In a dispatch posted at 11:08pm Makkah time Sunday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that four people were killed in that attack, and two more injured. The target was a puppet police patrol. The official media claimed that innocent civilians were the victims of the attack, but Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the puppet security forces confiscated a camera from the crew of the local TV company ad-Diyar after they had filmed the area, revealing bodies of dead puppet policemen in their uniforms.

The source also said that a second bomb went off in the as-Salihiyah area of central Baghdad, near the Iranian Embassy, killing two people and wounding four more.

A third bomb exploded on the main road in the al-I‘lam area of southwestern Baghdad, killing one person and wounding two more, the source said. In a dispatch posted at 11:08pm Makkah time Sunday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that that attack had been targeted on the car in which Lieutenant Colonel Husayn ‘Aliwi was riding. ‘Aliwi and one of his companions died in the blast and two more of the troops were wounded. Mafkarat al-Islam reported that ‘Aliwi had taken part in the joint offensive by US troops and Shi‘i sectarian death squads against Hayfa Street two weeks ago.

US carries out campaign of violent searches, arrests on Saturday-Sunday night.

In a dispatch posted at 11:22am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops together with their puppet Iraqi “National Guard” allies carried out a campaign of raids, searches, and arrests in the western Baghdad area of al-Ghazaliyah at dawn on Sunday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Ghazaliyah as saying that the sweep was centered on the Umm al-Qura Mosque, which is the headquarters of the Association of Muslim Scholars, the highest Sunni Muslim religious authority in the country.

Witnesses said that the raids began about 3:30am local time when the Americans began violently storming into houses, blasting open their doors with percussion grenades. Twelve civilians were arrested and their personal property confiscated. The troops also stole money from the houses they raided, the witnesses reported.

Mysterious bomb explodes in al-Khalis market, killing seven.

In a dispatch posted at 3:33pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an explosives-packed car blew up in the al-Khalis market, about 65km north of Baghdad, killing or injuring 17 people.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a medical source in al-Khalis General Hospital as saying that a car bomb that had been parked near a clinic in the middle of the al-Khalis market blew up among civilians, killing seven and wounding 10 more people. The injured were ambulanced to the hospital for treatment.

Ba‘qubah.

Resistance men blow up two puppet government buildings in Ba‘qubah Saturday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:33pm Makkah time midday Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a group of armed men blew up a puppet government building in Ba‘qubah, 65km northeast of Baghdad on Saturday night.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a group of unknown armed men attacked and stormed into the Directorate of Handicrafts under the Edcuation Department of Diyala Province on Saturday night. The men disarmed the guards posted at the building and then planted explosives around the building and blew it up, completely destroying it.

The source said that another group did the same thing in the same way to the building housing the Civil Defense Directorate in Ba‘qubah on Saturday afternoon

Al-Hillah.

Resistance bomb kills four western security men working for US military near American “Camp Kalsu” north of al-Hillah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:13am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an American civilian GMC vehicle in the northern area of al-Hillah, about 60km south of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source in al-Hillah who asked to remain anonymous as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road that links the al-Mashru‘ area with the highway blew up by a group of cars belonging to the private mercenary security men who work for the US occupation forces. The attack took place as the cars were trying to enter the American base known as Camp Kalsu, 40km north of the city.

The blast completely destroyed one of the GMC cars, killing all those aboard. The lacerated bodies of the four dead individuals were seen by local residents. All were working for the US military but were dressed in civilian clothing. After the blast, US forces closed the highway, imposed a security cordon around the area, and hauled away the wrecked vehicle and evacuated the casualties.

Al-Basrah Province.

Prominent Jaysh al-Mahdi commander killed in al-Basrah.

In a dispatch posted at 7:20pm Makkah time Sunday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed a prominent commander in the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi Shi‘i sectarian militia in the southern city of al-Basrah on Sunday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Khalil al-Maliki was driving his private car in the al-Qiblah area of the city near the car expo when a car full of armed men that had been following al-Maliki caught up with him. The occupants of that car opened fire on al-Maliki killing him and wounding his son.

Al-Maliki’s body was taken to the Shi ‘ cemetery in an-Najaf for burial.

Meanwhile, eight mortar shells landed near the British and American consulates in al-Basrah but no official announcement of the attack had been made as of the time of reporting.
