Resistance bombards US military headquarters in al-Hadithah Monday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:41pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four heavy 120mm mortar shells into the US military headquarters in northern al-Hadithah, about 270km northwest of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that the barrage inflicted severe damage on the building and its fortifications but no information on the nature or extent of US casualties was available.

Resistance bomb wounds US troops in Hit Monday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 2:15pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by US military patrol in Hit, 165km northwest of Baghdad, on Monday morning.
The Hit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Mu‘allimin neighborhood as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of a road there blew up when an American patrol was driving past. The explosion completely destroyed one US vehicle, wounding four US troops who were aboard it according to eyewitnesses who saw the injured Americans on the ground after the blast. US forces then closed off the area and evacuated the wounded men. They also hauled away the wrecked vehicle, but the street leading to the city car park remained closed to traffic as of the time of reporting.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance men battle US troops in al-Fallujah midday Monday.
In a dispatch posted at 4:52pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fighting erupted when Iraqi Resistance men ambushed US troops in the middle of al-Fallujah at noon on Monday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that Resistance fighters ambushed American troops who had come into the ad-Dubbat neighborhood in the middle of the city. The Resistance fighters opened fire with light and medium machine guns on the Americans, sparking a firefight that lasted half an hour. The US forces closed the main street in al-Fallujah and the side streets leading to the area after the attack.
Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee southwest of al-Fallujah Monday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:32pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol southwest of al-Fallujah at about 8am local time Monday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses belonging to the al-Bu ‘Isa trive in the al-Bu Hatim area to the southwest of al-Fallujah as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road in their area went off by a US patrol, destroying one Humvee and killing or wounding all the Americans aboard it.
The witnesses said that US forces surrounded and sealed off the area and then launched raids on the district near where the explosion occurred. Two local civilians were arrested.
Resistance sharpshooter kills puppet Iraqi army soldier in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:37pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a puppet Iraqi army soldier near al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses who were headed into the city from the eastern entrance point at the time of the attack as saying that an Iraqi Resistance fighter got out of a car and shot a puppet Iraqi army soldier, who was near the checkpoint at the entrance to the city, in the head. The witnesses said that the soldier died instantly with a bullet in his forehead. The Resistance sharpshooter then left town, the correspondent reported. US forces and Iraqi puppet troops closed off the area where the attack took place and evacuated the body of the dead soldier out of the city.
Resistance blasts al-Halabisah checkpoint on west side of al-Fallujah Monday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 2:11pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds into a checkpoint at one of the entrances to the city of al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad on Monday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported taxi drivers who were close to the al-Halabisah entrance at the western end of the city as saying that the barrage inflicted casualties among the US and puppet “Iraqi National Guard” troops at the checkpoint but no specific numbers were available. After the attack the US and puppet Iraqi forces closed off that entrance to the city as smoke billowed over he facilities and explosions went off inside.
Resistance destroys Bradley armored vehicle near al-Fallujah Sunday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:53pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a US Bradley armored vehicle in the course of a battle in al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad on Sunday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the New Street area as saying that fighting broke out between Resistance fighters and a patrol of four US Humvees with a Bradley armored vehicle in the middle during Sunday afternoon.
The fighting broke out when Resistance men fired three rocket-propelled grenades into the Bradley. A half-hour firefight then erupted in which Resistance fighters, in narrow side streets fired light and medium machine guns and US troops responded with savage gunfire directed all around the area. As a result of the American fire, two commercial shops were burned and destroyed and two Resistance fighters were killed. The Americans called in reinforcements and closed off the area. They hauled away the wreckage of the Bradley and searched several houses near the scene of the attack.
It was the second Bradley destroyed in the city within one week. Another Bradley was destroyed in the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah area on 23 January.
Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 12:36pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an explosives-laden car blew up in eastern Baghdad on Monday morning, killing six civilians and wounding 13 more.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the car had been parked by the side of a road in the al-Baladiyat neighborhood. After the blast, puppet police closed off the entire area and the wounded were transported to hospital for treatment.
In a separate incident, a bomb exploded near Bayrut Square on Palestine Road, wounding four civilians. That was followed by another bombing on the same street near al-Mustansiriyah University that damaged tow civilian cars and wounded five people, most of them civilian.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that it was suspected that pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian militias were behind the attacks that targeted civilians as part of their attempt to try to blame the Iraqi Resistance for the attacks and discredit the Resistance in the eyes of the population.
On Sunday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported from Kirkuk that Resistance fighters had arrested two individuals in the city who were planting bombs in front of a local home. Upon questioning, it was learned that the two were members of the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” and that they were planting bombs in civilian areas in Kirkuk according to orders that were passed down to them, but which originated with the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi Shi‘i sectarian militia.

Ba‘qubah.
Puppet police in Ba‘qubah dismisses 1,500 puppet policemen for not abiding by official program; another 1,000 men brought in to replace them.
In a dispatch posted at 3:31pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the puppet police command in Ba‘qubah, the capital of Diyala Province, had fired 1500 puppet policemen on the grounds that they were not abiding by the official program.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source in Ba‘qubah, 65km northeast of Baghdad, as saying that a thousand new puppet police had been added to the force to replace those dismissed. They were assessed as capable after extensive discussions with notables and prominent personalities in the province.
Witnesses said that the new appointments would be made, as is usual, on the basis of tribal loyalties, so that it was likely that tribal shaykhs and other notables would get together with US military and puppet Iraqi army officers to decide on the appointments.

Mortar attack by unknown parties kills three civilians in al-Khalis.
In a dispatch posted at 1:16pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that armed men attacked a residential neighborhood in al-Khalis, 57km north of Baghdad.
The Diyala Province correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Khalis as saying that the men attacked a residential area in the al-Kubat neighborhood with mortars, killing three and wounding five civilian residents there. Neither the reason for the attack nor the parties who carried it out were known.

Resistance bomb wounds puppet official southwest of Kirkuk.
In a dispatch posted at 4:32pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by the motorcade of a local puppet official in the northern city of Kirkuk.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted in ash-Shahiriyah village southwest of Kirkuk blew up by the motorcade of Muhammad Ahmad Husayn the puppet chief of the ar-Riayd area southwest of Kirkuk.
The source said that the explosion damaged a vehicle in the patrol and wounded the official and one of his guards.
Al-Huwayjah.
Resistance blasts puppet police headquarters with mortars Monday.
In a dispatch posted at 4:59pm Makkah time Monday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two heavy 120mm mortar rounds at the puppet police headquarters in the al-Huwayjah area southwest of Kirkuk on Monday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that one of the shells scored a direct hit on a US Humvee inside the headquarters at the time, completely disabling it.
