Resistance batters joint US-puppet Iraqi army headquarters in ‘Anah Friday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 2:33pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four 82mm mortar rounds into a headquarters used by US troops and their puppet Iraqi army allies in the city of ‘Anah, about 300km northwest of Baghdad at 7am local time Friday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in ‘Anah as saying that the barrage targeted the ‘Anah Youth Center building, a structure that has been turned into a US military camp in the middle of town. The barrage set off thunderous explosions inside the base and sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky. US helicopters flew in over the open land around the city searching for the place from which the mortar shells were fired.
Ar-Rutbah.
Resistance pummels American military headquarters in ar-Rutbah with 14 mortar rounds.
In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired fourteen 60mm mortar rounds into the district government building in the city of ar-Rutbah near the Jordanian border in western Iraq inflicting casualties among US forces there.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a local resident as saying that the barrage struck the district government building 72 hours after American forces stormed into the town and turned that building into their local headquarters. Following the bombardment Resistance fighters attacked the Americans and US helicopters flew in at low altitude to assist the American ground troops. Resistance fighters were fighting the US occupation troops using hit-and-run tactics.
Al-Fallujah.
Shortages of basic goods afflict al-Fallujah after US forces close down single truck entrance to the city.
In a dispatch posted at 1:11pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces increased the pressure they have been exerting on the residents of al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad after they sealed off the entrances to the city.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that on Friday US forces completely closed the southern entrance to the city located in the Industrial Zone. That entrance was the link that local people had with markets for goods and provisions since it was only through the southern entrance to the city that such things were allowed to be trucked in. US forces and their puppet Iraqi regime issued an order closing that entrance “until further notice.”
As a consequence there is now a shortage of various basic goods in the city of al-Fallujah the entrances to which have been subject to greatly restricted access for more than two weeks.
Resistance ambush wounds two puppet troops Thursday night.
In a dispatch posted at 12:29pm Makkah time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons ambushed a patrol of the puppet Iraqi Army on Thursday night in al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance men armed with machine guns, medium weapons and rocket-propelled grenades attacked the puppet army patrol when it penetrated into the Nazal neighborhood of the city, leaving one Humvee disabled and two puppet troops wounded. After the attack, the patrol hauled off their damaged vehicle and withdrew without coming back.
Booby-trapped motorcycle wounds puppet police in al-Fallujah Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:51pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a booby-trapped motorcycle exploded by a puppet police patrol in al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad on Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that an explosives-packed motorcycle blew up near the Martyrs Cemetery in the city, injuring two puppet police so that they had to be taken to hospital for treatment. US forces sealed off the entire area after the explosion.
Resistance carries out mass raids, arresting 14 including a girl in al-Karmah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:31am Makkah time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops conducted mass raids and searches in al-Karmah, about 15km east of al-Fallujah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Bu Khalifah area of al-Karmah as saying that US troops stormed in very large force into the town backed up by tanks and vehicles of various types and with helicopter gun ships overhead providing air cover. The witnesses said that the Americans raided a large number of houses in the town and arrested 14 young people including a girl, four brothers and their father.
The correspondent reported that the arrest of the young woman was expected to impel the Iraqi Resistance to launch violent attacks on US troops in a town that has already been witnessing an upsurge in assaults on American forces and their puppet Iraqi army allies. The intensity of Resistance attacks is so high, in fact, that the puppet Iraqi troops refuse to enter al-Karmah without American soldiers to accompany them.
Al-Hadithah.
Resistance sharpshooter kills two puppet army troops Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:25pm Makkah time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed two puppet Iraqi army troops in the middle of al-Hadithah on Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the as-Subhani area of the city as saying that the sharpshooter cut down the two puppet army soldiers one after the other, the first with a bullet in his forehead, the second with a bullet through the heart. The other puppet troops responded by leaving the stricken soldiers on the ground while firing indiscriminately into the air. Afterwards the puppet troops surrounded the whole area and carried out house-to-house searches.
US Marine reported killed in bomb attack Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:58am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US Marine patrol in al-Haditha, 236km northwest of Baghdad on Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the blast occurred on the main street to the west of the city and destroyed a Humvee, killing one US Marine and wounding three more of them.
The correspondent noted that the city of al-Hadithah has been under blockade by US forces for more than two months.

Baath Party statement: General Secretary ‘Izzat Ibrahim ad-Duri accepts no local or temporary case-fire with the occupation.
An official spokesman for the Arab Baath Socialist Party of Iraq announced that claims that the party had said it was willing to cease fire against US forces in cities where the Americans carry out offensives against pro-Iranian militia were false and that the Baath Party’s line of Resistance to the occupation was entirely unchanged.
In a dispatch dated 25 January and posted on the patriotic Iraqi website alBasrah.net, an official Baath Party announcement said that the claims that the new General Secretary of the Iraqi Leadership of the Baath, ‘Izzat Ibrahim ad-Duri, had made any such offer were “untrue, and showed that the US occupation is grasping at anything small or large in the hopes that it might miraculously rescue it from certain defeat and allow them to continue implementing their Zionist imperialist plan in the region.”
The spokesman went on to say that the US is aware that the Baath Party is the backbone of the Iraqi Resistance and therefore is trying to sow divisions between the party and other components of the Resistance. He said that “such claims were aimed at sullying the image of the Baath Party and isolating it from the rest of the Resistance fighters, despite the fact that the Baath had made the greatest of sacrifices in order to ignite the jihad and with it achieved its strategic victory over the enemy.” The story about the Baath being ready for a cease fire was therefore “created and cooked up in the kitchens of the Zionist and imperialist secret services.”
The Baath spokesman noted that the US seeks “to drag some of us into the political game to act as an alternate to its along with the pro-Iranian sectarian stooge servants, one day for us and one day for them.”
The spokesman said that the Baath Party and the Iraqi patriotic Resistance “believe that the Iranian danger is the result of the cooperation between America and Iran on the basis of their shared interest in hostility to Iraq and the Arab Nation. Therefore eliminating the Iranian danger and the crimes of the Iranians requires the escalation of armed activity against the two occupations ﾐ of America and Iran ﾐ together, and whenever America is expelled from Iraq, the Iraqi Resistance and all the component groups making up the people of Iraq will expel the Iranian gangs from Iraq by force of arms if they do not flee on their own when the occupation collapses or withdraws.”
Tragedy of occupied Iraq revealed as Shi‘i sectarian follower of Muqtada as-Sadr murders Sunni family.
In a dispatch posted at 4:02pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-Iranian gunmen loyal to Shi‘i sectarian cleric Muqtada as-Sadr shot and killed a man, his wife, and their new-born daughter as they left the Arab Children’s Hospital in the al-Iskan district of Baghdad.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen shot and killed Shaykh Hamid al-Hiti the Imam of the al-Ikhlas Mosque in the adh-Dhahab al-Abyad area of western Baghdad when he and his wife were leaving the hospital a day after the birth of their daughter, ‘A’ishah.
‘A’ishah was born by Caesarian section as is now the “normal way” for women to give birth in Iraq. Since the US and its puppet regime have imposed nighttime curfews throughout most of the country, pregnant women fear going into labor at night and having to give birth confined to their houses without access to a hospital. They therefore all go for Caesarian section as soon as they enter their ninth month of pregnancy.
The correspondent reported the brother of Shaykh Hamid, who was with the family and was wounded in the attack, as saying that Shaykh Hamid emerged from the hospital with his wife and their infant daughter wrapped in their arms. They were heading towards the nearby BMW auto parts store where the Shaykh had parked their car.
As they left the building, they found the hospital record keeper standing with the Jaysh al-Mahdi guard at the door. Since one of Muqtada as-Sadr’s followers is the current puppet “Minister of Health,” Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen control the ospitals in the country and serve as “guards.” Shaykh Hamid prepared to give the gunman the 5,000 dinar bribe that the Jaysh al-Mahdi collect from anyone who visits the hospitals. The two men refused the money however because they felt they had a more important concern.
The men asked Shaykh Hamid “Why did you name your daughter ‘A’ishah? Do you want her to sleep around with men?” The question was a sectarian taunt based on a slanderous accusation leveled at ‘A’ishah, the wife of the Prophet Muhammad in the early days of Islam. Because the Prophet’s wife was not a partisan of ‘Ali ibn Abi Talib, the patron saint of the Shi‘ah, sectarian Shi‘ah regard the historical ‘A’ishah with hostility and extend that hostility to anyone bearing the name ‘A’ishah today.
Shaykh Hamid responded to the insult to his daughter and to the wife of the Prophet by spitting in the face of the guard and telling him, “if my wife were not here with me and I weren’t afraid that things could go too far, I would have a different answer for you.”
Shaykh Hamid’s brother said that they then carried on to their car and when they got there he opened the trunk to put some sheets and utensils inside when suddenly two men came running towards them, spraying all of them with bullets for a full minute. Shaykh Hamid and his wife were killed as was their daughter ﾐ for one carefully aimed bullet had ploughed through the back of baby ‘A’ishah, making her the youngest female martyr in Iraq.

Bomb explodes in animal market in Baghdad on Friday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:16pm Makkah time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a bomb exploded in a crowded market where pets are sold on Fridays in Baghdad. Owners of the pet shops in the Suq al-Ghazal said that seven people were killed and 15 more were taken to hospital with injuries after the incident.
Resistance bomb kills puppet troops at checkpoint Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:02pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a checkpoint manned by puppet Iraqi troops in the al-Ma’mun area near the al-Mansur neighborhood of Baghdad on Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb killed two puppet troops and wounded six more of them, some of those seriously. The attack might have been a swift reaction by the Resistance to the campaign of raids and arrests that US and puppet Iraqi army troops carried out in the nearby al-Yarmuk district. The road was closed after the attack so that the puppet army casualties could be evacuated and was not reopened until Friday morning.

Resistance blasts US base with Grad rockets Friday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 2:54pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three Grad rockets into the al-Bakr Air base in the Yathrib area ﾐ a facility that the Americans call “Camp Anaconda” ﾐ at 10am local time Friday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the Yathrib area, about 70km north of Baghdad as saying that the explosions from the assault shook all parts of the town and sent plumes of smoke and dust rising into the sky.
Samarra’.
Resistance blasts puppet “Interior Ministry Shock Troops.
In a dispatch posted at 2:45pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired about 10 mortar rounds of various sizes into the headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry shock troops in Samarra’, 120km north of Baghdad on Friday morning.
The Samarra’ correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the headquarters, which has been set up in the al-Buhayrah Hotel near the Samarra’ Bridge, came under an intense barrage Friday morning, inflicting heavy material damage on the building. The source would not provide information regarding casualties.
Resistance pounds puppet “Interior Ministry” troops in Samarra’ with heavy mortars.
In a dispatch posted at 12:59pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six heavy 120mm mortar rounds into a camp of puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry troops” in the city of Samarra’, 120km north of Baghdad at dawn on Friday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source who asked to remain anonymous as saying that the attack, the second such barrage in 24 hours, shook the former department of education building, now occupied by the puppet “Interior Ministry” forces and turned into a camp. The source said that two puppet “Interior Ministry” troops were wounded and severe damage had been done to the building.
The source said that the barrage must have been fired from outside the city proper since such heavy ordnance is usually fired from a distance. He noted that the puppet “Interior Ministry” troops had been in position in Samarra’ since before the bombing of the Imam ‘Ali al-Hadi Shi‘i shrine on 22 February 2006.
The bombardment set off explosions that shook the entire city, the correspondent reported and sent smoke billowing up into the sky. US troops hurried to the scene, which they completely cordoned off.
Diyala Province.
Ba‘qubah.
Resistance bombards US-occupied base north of Ba ‘qubah late Friday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:22pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two S5K rockets into the US “’Abbas Ibn Firnas” air base north of Ba‘qubah at 11am local time Friday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the rockets scored direct hits inside the base setting off explosions in the northern part of the US-occupied facility and sending clouds of smoke and dust billowing into the sky over the base. Afterwards, US helicopters flew in and prowled the air over the base and surrounding area for a long period.
Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee near Ba‘qubah.
In a dispatch posted at 3:01pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol west of the city of Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road in the area of the crossroads west of Ba‘qubah blew up by a US patrol, totally destroying a Humvee and killing or wounding all the American troops aboard it. Afterwards the US forces closed off the entire area.
Resistance bomb targets deputy chief of the puppet police in Diyala Province Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:13pm Makkah time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the deputy chief of the puppet police for Diyala Province was the target of an Iraqi Resistance attack on Thursday.
The Ba‘qbuah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police eyewitness, who asked to remain anonymous as saying that an Iraqi Resistance bomb that had been planted on the road to Kan‘an, located 35km east of Ba‘qubah, blew up by the motorcade in which Brigadier General Iyad Muhammad was riding. The source said that the bomb severely injured four of the general’s bodyguards. The wounded men were taken immediately to hospital but the deputy puppet police chief himself was unharmed.
The puppet security forces them swept through the area and arrested nine local youths on the pretext that they had something to do with the attack.

Al-Mahmudiyah.
Resistance fire strikes US Apache helicopter near al-Mahmudiyah forcing it back to base.
In a dispatch posted at 12:16am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Islamic Army Iraqi Resistance group announced that a short while earlier its fighters had shot and damaged a US Apache helicopter, forcing it to return to the protection of its base in al-Mahmudiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Islamic Army as saying that the groups Anti-Aircraft Squadrons had fired at an Apache in the area of al-Mahmudiyah and struck it, causing smoke to come out of its tail. The aircraft did not crash, however, but it changed its course and turned north towards the heavily fortified US base set up in the former meatpacking plant south of Baghdad.

Blast targets US troop in al-Haswah Friday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 2:40pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in al-Haswah, about 33km south of Baghdad on Friday morning.
The al-Latifiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a bomb that had been planted in the al-Haswah area just south of al-Latifiyah and it exploded when a US patrol was driving past. The blast destroyed an American Humvee, killing or wounding all the US troops aboard. Eyewitnesses reported that they saw parts of the Humvee being thrown through the air as a result of the explosion. After the attack, American forces sealed off the entire area.

Kirkuk.
Resistance bomb kills three puppet “National Guards” in Kirkuk early Friday.
In a dispatch posted at 2:56pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a column of puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in Kirkuk, about 250km north of Baghdad Friday morning.
The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road linking Kirkuk with ar-Rashad to the southwest, blew up by a column of puppet “National Guard” forces. Motorists who witnessed the attack reported that the blast damaged a Humvee and totally destroyed a Nissan pickup belonging to the puppet forces. Three puppet “National Guards” were killed and four more of them wounded in varying degrees.

Resistance sharpshooter reportedly kills US soldier, scatters American patrol in al-Mawsil Friday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 2:51pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier on the left (northeast) side of the northern Iraqi city of al-Mawsil on Friday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a US foot patrol was moving through the al-Yarmuk neighborhood of al-Mawsil when an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet struck one of the Americans in the head, killing him instantly, to the astonishment and confusion of his comrades who ran straight away from the area immediately after the attack.
Resistance car bomber blows up puppet army checkpoint in al-Mawsil Thursday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 11:45am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a command post operated by the puppet Iraqi army in the ath-Thawrah neighborhood of western al-Mawsil in northern Iraq Thursday afternoon.
The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance fighter drove his car bomb into the entrance to the checkpoint and detonated his payload, killing five puppet troops and wounding four more of them. All the casualties were taken to the General Hospital in the city following the attack.
The witnesses said that puppet Iraqi forces opened fire indiscriminately after the explosion, venting their rage against the local population. They then closed the main street to local traffic.
Tall ‘Afar.
Three US troops reported killed in Resistance car bombing in Tall ‘Afar Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:54am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a US military patrol in the city of Tall ‘Afar, about 55km west of the northern Iraqi city of al-Mawsil on Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet Iraqi army as saying that a Resistance fighter sat in an explosives-packed BMW car waiting for a US column to appear and then blasted into a US patrol when it came along, destroying a Humvee and killing three US troops aboard it. The source said that the force of the blast sent parts of the vehicle and the soldiers flying through the air. A second US vehicle was also damaged in the explosion.

Mortar, rocket attacks wound British troops in al-Basrah.
In a dispatch posted at 10:59am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that 28 mortar shells blasted into the headquarters of British occupation troops in the at-Tuwaysah area of central al-Basrah in southern Iraq, according to an official British spokeswoman.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the British spokeswoman as saying that two British troops were wounded in the attack, one off them severely.
The correspondent reported eyewitnesses as saying that the damage caused by the barrage was worse than what the British officially acknowledged. Twelve Katyusha rockets struck the British headquarters in the Shatt al-‘Arab Hotel in the north of al-Basrah, wounding two British troops.
