Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee near al-Karmah at noon Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 5:08pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a passing American patrol in the al-Karmah district near al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad at midday Wednesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bomb, which had been planted on the road to al-Karmah went off by a US patrol, totally destroying a Humvee and killing or wounding all the American troops aboard.
US forces raid houses in al-Fallujah Wednesday morning arresting 30 local residents.
In a dispatch posted at 3:55pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces carried out raids, searches, and arrests in a number of neighborhoods of al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad on Wednesday morning.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that numerous US tanks and other vehicles surrounded the as-Sikak and al-Jawlan neighborhoods of northern al-Fallujah early Wednesday. The source said that the Americans raided houses in the neighborhoods, searching them meticulously but they informed no one of what they were looking for. They did round up and abduct 30 local civilian residents and took them off to a US base in al-Fallujah.
Resistance bombards US camp in as-Saqlawiyah Wednesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 1:56pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five heavy 120mm mortar rounds into a US military position in as-Saqlawiyah, 15km northwest of al-Fallujah, on Wednesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a gas station owner on the outskirts of as-Saqlawiyah as saying that Resistance mortar shells scored direct hits on the camp that the Americans have set up near the Ministry of Education’s Technical Institute. The explosions shook the entire area and sent plumes of smoke rising into the sky.
Resistance fighters battle US troops Tuesday night in hour-long engagement in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:41pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a fierce battle took place between Iraqi Resistance men and US occupation troops in southern al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad late on Tuesday night.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses who live in the ash-Shuhada’ neighborhood of southern al-Fallujah as saying that Iraqi Resistance fighters fired PKS medium machine guns and RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenades. Local residents could here powerful explosions and machine gun fire from the battle that went on with varying intensity for more than an hour during the period when the nighttime curfew was in force. No information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.

Palestinians call on Hamas to stop ignoring the murders of Palestinians by pro-Iranian gunmen in Iraq.
In a dispatch posted at 10:56pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Palestinians resident in Iraq on Wednesday appealed to the Hamas movement to state its position on the massacres of Palestinians being carried out by the pro-Iranian militia in occupied Iraq.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a condolence meeting was held for 30-year-old Ahmad Ma‘lah, a Palestinian murdered by the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in the al-Baladiyat section of Baghdad two days earlier. At the meeting the father of the murdered man ﾐ who was killed after the Jaysh al-Mahdi abducted him from the barbershop where he worked ﾐ called on Hamas to take a clear stand on the torture and murder to which Palestinians have been subjected in Iraq.
Shaykh Misbah ‘Abd al-‘Aziz, speaking at the condolence meeting held in the ash-Shahid Sabri Mosque said: “Isma‘il Haniyah is more interested in relations with Iran than he is with the lives of Palestinians who are being butchered here by the agents of Iran.” The Shaykh said that Hamas had lost its credibility with Palestinians in Iraq.
The father of Ahmad Ma‘lah said, “The Palestinian blood that is being shed here is on Haniyah’s neck because he is ignoring ﾐ intentionally ﾐ what’s happening in Iraq.”
Some other Palestinian Resistance organizations have denounced the continuous abduction, torture, and murder of Palestinians that has been going on for months. On 10 December 2006, a spokesman for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine condemned the “barbaric murders, abductions, indiscriminate shelling of residences, and the continuing blockade of innocent civilian” Palestinians in Iraq. The PFLP spokesman said:
“these hostile acts to which innocent Palestinian refugees are being subjected in Iraq reflect the rampant moral and political decline of some forces in Iraq and the domination of the deadly spirit of sectarianism over the political actions and behavior of those forces.”
The PFLP spokesman said in his statement one month ago that the Popular front “finds it strange that some forces are pleased to allow their policies and practices to be an extension of the genocidal Zionist scheme that has targeted the Palestinian people for more than 60 years. We know full well that the fraternal Iraqi people, their simple, innocent citizens, and their patriotic forces struggling against the occupation and sectarianism, are innocent of these barbaric acts that descend to an unprecedented level of baseness.”
Resistance mortars blast Jaysh al-Mahdi headquarters in Baghdad Wednesday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 7:23pm Makkah time Wednesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance forces fired four mortar rounds into a headquarters of the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in eastern Baghdad.
The Madinat as-Sadr correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the attack inflicted casualties among the sectarians who help US forces impose their rule on the capital. Ambulances raced to the militia headquarters to evacuate the dead and wounded sectarian gunmen.
Four puppet police die in Resistance ambush in Baghdad midday Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 5:01pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a group of Iraqi puppet police in Baghdad at noon Wednesday.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that Resistance men armed with light and medium machine guns and hand grenades assaulted a puppet police checkpoint near the as-Sarrafah Bridge in Baghdad. Because the Resistance attack came upon them so suddenly, the puppet police were unable to respond adequately. In the 10-minute attack, four of the puppet policemen were killed and another two were wounded.
Two US troops reported killed in Resistance ambush in southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah Wednesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 5:02pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed US troops in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah Wednesday morning.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance men attacked a US patrol firing rocket-propelled grenades and light and medium machine guns. The attack sparked a firefight that left one Humvee disabled and heavily damaged a second. Two US troops were killed and three more of them wounded, one of those severely. One Iraqi Resistance fighter was killed in the battle as well, the witnesses said.
Resistance sharpshooter kills puppet “Shock Troop” soldier in southern Baghdad Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 4:53pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a member of the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in southern Baghdad on Wednesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a Resistance sharpshooter opened fire on a column of puppet “Shock Troop” forces near ‘Ulwat Hadrawat as-Sayyidiyah on the highway between Baghdad and al-Hillah. The sharpshooter’s bullet struck one of the puppet “Shock Troops” who was seated atop a vehicle, killing him instantly. The column stopped to evacuate the body of the dead puppet soldier and then sped away for fear of further attacks.
Two US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing in Baghdad’s al-A‘zamiyah Wednesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:48pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in the Baghdad district of al-A‘zamiyah on Wednesday morning.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of al-Maghrib Street in al-A‘zamiyah went off by a US patrol, setting fire to one Humvee and killing two US troops. Another two or three American soldiers received burns in the bomb attack, the witnesses said.

Resistance fighters ambush puppet “National Guards,” in Samarra’ killing three Wednesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 12:51pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a patrol of Iraqi puppet “National Guards” in Samarra’, about 120km north of Baghdad on Wednesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the az-Zira‘i neighborhood near the Industrial Zoin in the city as saying that Resistance fighters caught the puppet “Guards” by surprise, spraying them with a hail of light and medium gunfire. The attack sparked a firefight that lasted for about half an hour and left three puppet “National Guards” dead and a fourth wounded. The witnesses said that the Resistance men withdrew from the area having suffered no losses of their own.

US air attacks kill seven civilians near Balad Ruz Tuesday night.
In a dispatch posted at 3:43pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US warplanes rocketed a number of villages east of Ba‘qubah, about 65kn northeast of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US forces carried out an extensive campaign of raids and searches with extensive air support in the Balad Ruz area ﾐ about 60km east of Ba‘qubah ﾐ on Tuesday night looking for Resistance fighters. The witnesses said that the Americans failed to find anything indicating the presence of Resistance men, but nevertheless the American aircraft rocketed a number of residential homes, killing seven civilians, among them women and children.

Resistance attacks large force of puppet “Installation Protection” police killing 20 near al-Khalis Wednesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 1:15pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces battled a detachment of puppet “Installation Protection Force” police on the main road in al-Khalis, about 60km north of Baghdad, on Wednesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source who asked to remain anonymous as saying that fierce fighting broke out on the main road between al-Khalis and Ba‘qubah on Wednesday morning when an estimated 50 Resistance fighters armed with RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenades and light and medium weapons ambushed a large force of the puppet “Installation Protection” police who were transporting cement barriers to protect puppet “security” deparments.
The puppet police source indicated that more than 20 of the “Installation Protection Force” men were killed and at least 20 more wounded in the attack. The source said that none of the Resistance men were killed during the engagement, which was the fiercest in recent weeks. The battle forced the total shut down of the road so that the many casualties could be evacuated.

Resistance sharpshooter kills two puppet “Shock Troops” in al-Hasway Wednesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 5:01pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed two puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troop (Maghawir)” troops in al-Haswah, about 33km south of Baghdad on Wednesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance sharpshooter opened fire at the puppet “Shock Troops” who were manning a checkpoint ni the area, striking and killing two of them. The puppet “Shock Troops” then closed down the checkpoint, witnesses said, and left the area so as not to be exposed to further attacks.

Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee near al-Hillah.
In a dispatch posted at 4:05pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column near al-Hillah, about 60km south of Baghdad.
The al-Hillah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the International Highway that links al-Hillah with Baghdad went off by a passing American column, completely destroying a US Humvee and killing or wounding all the US troops aboard it.
After the attack, US forces completely closed the highway and called in a Medevac helicopter that landed on the scene apparently to evacuate the casualties.

Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee in al-Yusufiyah Wednesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:31pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in al-Yusufiyah, about 30km southwest of Baghdad on Wednesday morning.
The al-Yusufiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by one of the streets in the city blew up by a passing patrol of US forces, completely destroying an American Humvee and killing or wounding all the troops aboard. After the attack, the Americans completely sealed off the area.
Resistance blasts joint US-Iraqi puppet base with mortars Tuesday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 3:35pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five 82mm mortar rounds into a headquarters jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet army forces in the city of al-Yusufiyah, about 30km southwest of Baghdad on Tuesday afternoon.
The al-Yusufiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the shells scored direct hits on the facility, setting off explosions that shook the headquarters during and after the bombardment and sent plumes of smoke and dust rising into the sky.

Puppet police arrest 10 civilians near Kirkuk at dawn Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 2:06pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet regime security forces carried out mass arrests of civilians near the northern city of Kirkuk at dawn on Wednesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a resident of the ash-Shamsiyah area near Tazah as saying that Iraqi puppet police arrested 10 local civilians in ash-Shamsiyah at dawn Wednesday, claiming that they belonged to Resistance groups. The puppet police put bags over the heads of the men they arrested, in keeping with the American practice, and led them away to an unknown destination.

US forces arrest puppet police colonel in al-Mawsil Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 4:05pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops raided a puppet police station in the northern city of al-Mawsil on Tuesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source in the city as saying that US forces carried out a meticulous search of the al-Karamah puppet police station, after which they went to the puppet police command for Ninwa Province in the ad-Dawwasah area of the city.
The Americans arrested Colonel Zuhr ad-Din ‘Atiyah, the Director of the al-Karamah puppet police station when he showed up for a reception to honor puppet police directors in the city. It was not immediately clear why the Americans arrested ‘Atiyah.
