Resistance bomb destroys Abrams tank in al-Fallujah Friday morning..
In a dispatch posted at 7:40pm Makkah time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US Abrams tank in al-Fallujah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the ash-Shurtah neighborhood of eastern al-Fallujah as saying that a bomb that had been planted on the main street in the area went off by a US military column. The blast completely destroyed one American Abrams tank that was in the column, the witnesses said.
US forces immediately cut the main road to the ash-Shurtah neighborhood, Mafkarat al-Islam reported. US aircraft were seen prowling the skies overhead at such low altitude that they shattered glass in houses in the area. The Americans hauled the burned out tank wreckage away from the area and posted snipers atop taller houses there.
Quds Press reported from al-Fallujah that one tank in a US column suddenly burst into flame near a mosque in the city but that witnesses heard no explosion before hand. A source in the puppet security forces told Quds Press that the incident occurred near the al-Hadrah al-Muhammadiyah Mosque in al-Fallujah on Friday morning. Flames totally disabled the tank, the source said, adding that at least initially, none of those inside were able to escape. US forces closed off the area, the source said and then proceeded to try to rescue those inside.
Two Resistance bombs rip through patrol of Iraqi puppet “National Guard” Thursday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 2:58pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by a puppet “Iraqi National Guard” patrol in al-Fallujah on Thursday evening.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source in the city as saying that the two bombs that had been planted close together on as-Sadd Street, which divides the Industrial Zone from the al-Ba‘th neighborhood in eastern al-Fallujah, exploded by a patrol of several puppet “Guard” Humvees. The source said that the blast destroyed two of the Humvees. Local residents who witnessed the attack said that the explosions also killed or wounded several puppet “Guards.”
Resistance blasts US base in al-Fallujah with mortar shells Thursday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 2:35pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the US as-Simak base in the middle of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Thursday afternoon.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that as a result of the barrage, US forces closed the mian street surrounding the base, preventing any information on the nature or extent of damage or casualties from leaking out.

In a dispatch posted Friday, Quds Press reported that that US occupation troops raided the ar-Rahman Mosque in western Baghdad’s al-Khadra’ district after Friday congregational prayer services there.
The correspondent for Quds Press reported that the Americans arrested 12 worshipers who were coming out of the mosque after the service and handed them over to the unit of the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops” that was accompanying the US forces on the raid.
The incident prompted local people to organize a protest demonstration that marched from the mosque towards the al-Ahbar checkpoint in al-‘Amiriyah demanding that those arrested be released.
Several days earlier US troops accompanied by puppet “Iraqi National Guards” raided and ransacked the al-‘Assaf Mosque in al-A‘zamiyah. There they arrested several of the mosque guards.
Pro-Iranian militia blast residential areas of southern Baghdad Thursday night.
In a dispatch posted at 2:06pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that residential neighborhoods in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah were hit by more than 10 mortar rounds fired by pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian militias on Thursday evening.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the barrage caused heavy damage to homes and wounded a number of local residents. The witnesses thought that the shells were fired from the Abu Dushayr area of southern Baghdad by the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia.
The Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia is run by Muqtada as-Sadr, a Shi‘i cleric loyal to Iran, which is seeking to extend its regional hegemony and step into the shoes of the American occupation in Iraq.

Resistance fighters assault puppet army checkpoint north of ad-Dulu‘iyah Friday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 2:10pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a checkpoint manned by Iraqi puppet army troops north of ad-Dulu‘iyah, about 100km north of Baghdad at dawn on Friday.
The ad-Dulu‘iyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that Resistance fighters in two civilian cars and armed with light and medium machine guns attacked the al-Mu‘tasim checkpoint north of the city, sparking a battle that left four Iraqi puppet soldiers dead on the spot. Two more of the puppet soldiers were wounded in varying degrees of severity. The Resistance fighters then withdrew from the area, the source said.

Resistance car bomber blasts puppet army checkpoint in al-Khalis.
In a dispatch posted at 2:39pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a checkpoint manned by Iraqi puppet army troops in the al-Khlais area, 60km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the car bomber detonated his payload at the checkpoint, wounding five puppet troops manning the station. The troops were taken to hospital for treatment.

Resistance bomb destroys Humvee, leaving four American Marines reported dead in al-Mahmudiyah late Friday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:28am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military vehicle aboard which were four US Marines taking part in a patrol in the middle of al-Mahmudiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad late Friday evening.
The al-Mahmudiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb exploded by a parol of five US Humvees and armored Humvees on the Old Market road in al-Mahmudiyah. The blast destroyed one of the Humvees, burning the four US Marines who were inside to death. The witnesses said that two children were also moderately injured when the power of the bomb explosion shattered the window glass in nearby houses.
Al-Iskandariyah.
US, puppet forces raid homes arrest residents and local Imam in al-Iskandariyah Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 2:59pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops accompanied by Iraqi puppet security forces carried out a campaign of house-to-house raids, searches, and arrests in the al-Iskandariyah area, about 40km south of Baghdad on Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Americans and puppet “Scorpion Brigade” troops raided several homes in the area. They arrested Shaykh ‘Adil al-Jannabi, the Imam of the al-Iskandariyah Sunni Mosque and about 15 other local residents in the sweep.
The witnesses say that their area has been under blockade by the US and Iraqi puppet forces for more than a month. Electricity and running water have been cut off from the district for more than 30 days.

Resistance fighters attack home of puppet Oil Facility Protection Force southwest of Kirkuk Friday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 2:46pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters assaulted the home of the commander of the Second Regiment of the Iraqi puppet Oil Facility Protection Force south of Kirkuk on Friday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the Resistance attacked the home of the commander of the puppet Oil Facility Protection Force for the First Bannner of the Infrastructure in the village of al-Maftul, 50km southwest of Kirkuk. The Resistance men opened fire on the house. The source provided no further details regarding the attack.
Resistance bomb blasts puppet police in Kirkuk early Friday.
In a dispatch posted at 2:09pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the northern city of Kirkuk.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted in the al-Kurnish area near the Third Bridge in the city went off by a patrol of the puppet police as it drove past on Friday morning. The blast inflicted heavy damage on one patrol vehile, wounding two puppet policemen who were immediately taken to hospital for treatment.

Two puppet police die when booby-trapped house explodes over them in Tall ‘Afar Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 2:40pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a house that had been booby trapped by the Iraqi Resistance exploded over Iraqi puppet police personnel who were searching the builing in Tall ‘Afar, 55km west of al-Mawsil in northern Iraq.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a house in the al-Qadisiyah neighborhood that the Iraqi Resistance had rigged with explosives blew up on Thursday afternoon. A group of local puppet policemen were inside the building at the time, searching it. Two of the puppet policemen were killed in the explosion and a third was seriously wounded.
Al-Mawsil.
Resistance fighters kill puppet police colonel in al-Mawsil Thursday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 2:38pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed a high-ranking officer in the puppet police in the northern Iraqi city of al-Mawsil.
The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that Resistance men ambushed the car carrying Colonel Mazahim Yunus Hasan, the Director of Criminal Evidence and Traffic in the al-Iqtsad neighborhood of western al-Mawsil on Thursday afternoon. The seriously wounded colonel was taken to hospital where he later died. The sources said that the colonel’s driver also died in the attack.
The attack came less than a week after US and Iraqi puppet troops arrested three persons in raids and searches in the southwestern part of the city, claiming that they were wanted for “security reasons.”
