Resistance rocket destroys US Abrams tank in ar-Ramadi Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:08pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a detachment of Iraqi Resistance fighters destroyed a US tank in ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad on Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters fired an SPG-9 rocket at a US Abrams tank that was halted in the middle of ar-Ramadi. The rocket scored a direct hit on the tank, setting it on fire and destroying it. The witnesses said that the fire in the tank burned a number of US troops. American helicopters landed on the scene to extract and evacuate the dead and wounded.
Resistance attacks US headquarters in former Immigration building in ar-Ramadi Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:02pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two SPG-9 rockets into the US military headquarters in the Immigration Building on 17 Street in downtown ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad, on Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US headquarters took direct hits in the barrage, which set off explosions inside the American-occupied facility and set fire to the tents that cover the positions of the observers posted atop the building.

In a dispatch posted at 2:14pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that American occupation troops used loudspeakers to order residents of the ath-Thilah neighborhood in the middle of ar-Ramadi to leave their houses within 24 hours because the US forces were going to take them over and turn them into an army base for themselves.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the local people had already begun moving their lighter and more valuable belongings out of their homes, which, after the expiry of the 24-hour period, are to be bulldozed.
The correspondent reported that many local residents of the area had also been arrested at the time that the Americans were ordering them to begin to vacate their homes.
Three American soldiers reported killed in Resistance ambush in ar-Ramadi Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:52pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a US patrol in ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad, on Wednesday afternoon.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a patrol of three American Humvees was cruising 17 Street in the middle of ar-Ramadi when Resistance fighters fired an SPG-9 rocket at it. The rocket burned and destroyed one American Humvee. The witnesses affirmed that all those aboard, at least three troops, were burned alive inside the vehicle.
The Americans for their part officially admitted that two US troops were killed and six more wounded in Resistance attacks in Baghdad and its environs on Wednesday.
Resistance stages attack on US-occupied building in ar-Ramadi, killing three American snipers.
In a dispatch posted at 1:49pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance men armed with light and medium weapons and rockets attacked a headquarters of the US occupation troops set up in a modified former school building in the middle of ar-Ramadi. The aim of the attack, however, was not simply to assault the American facility, but to draw American snipers out of their hiding places and get them to expose themselves.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American forces took the “bait” and the US snipers joined in the battle against the attackers. This enabled Iraqi Resistance sharpshooters, who had pre-positioned themselves in preparation for the attack, to pick off and kill three American snipers. The attack also inflicted damage on the building housing the US headquarters.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance fighters assault outpost of puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in northern al-Fallujah early Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:59am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked an Iraqi puppet army camp in al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad on Thursday morning.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-‘Askari neighborhood of the city as saying that a house on al-Muhit Street on the north side of the city that was occupied by the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” and used as a billet came under Resistance assault at 7am local time Thursday morning.
The witnesses said that Resistance men armed with light and medium weapons and pipe rockets attacked the camp, sparking a battle with the puppet “National Guards” that lasted half an hour. The witnesses said that four puppet “National Guards” were killed in the attack, two of them in sniper posts at the front of the building. Smoke could be seen rising from the facility from a great distance.
One Resistance fighter was also killed in the assault, witnesses reported.
The correspondent reported that the Iraqi puppet “National Guards” forcibly took over more than 10 houses of local residents in that area at the end of the Battle of al-Fallujah and they have been occupied since that time. They are targets for Resistance attacks from time to time.
Resistance bomb hidden in old tire reportedly kills two US soldiers in al-Fallujah Wednesday night.
In a dispatch posted at 11:33am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an American vehicle was destroyed and two US troops who were aboard it were killed when an Iraqi Resistance bomb that had been hidden inside a car tire exploded in al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the ad-Dubbat al-Awwal neighborhood of al-Fallujah as saying that a bomb that had been planted in a used tire blew up as a US patrol passed by on Wednesday night on its way back to their camp on the main street in the city.
The witnesses said that the blast completely burned one vehicle and they said they saw the charred bodies of two US soldiers sprawled on the ground, indicating that they had been killed instantly. Witnesses from the al-Mudallil Mosque in the area said that the American troops responded to the attack by opening fire indiscriminately on nearby houses and on a part of the wall around the mosque. The local residents associated that kind of response with the fact that Americans had been killed in the attack.
Resistance bombards puppet police station in as-Saqlawiyah Wednesday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 12:26pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three 82mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of the Iraqi puppet police in as-Saqlawiyah, about 15km northwest of al-Fallujah on Wednesday.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that Resistance mortars targeted the as-Saqlawiyah puppet police station on Wednesday afternoon, but that there were no casualties among the Iraqi puppet police. He added that he had no information on any casualties among the US occupation troops whose presence in the area at the time was suspected since it was American troops who completely shut down the police station after the barrage.
Local residents reported hearing the mortar shells blast into the headquarters and saw plumes of smoke rising from the facility.

US soldier reported killed in Resistance attack on US outpost in ‘Anah Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 3:20pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces carried out an extensive attack on the headquarters of US and Iraqi puppet forces in the city of ‘Anah, about 300km northwest of Baghdad, on Wednesday.
The ‘Anah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the joint headquarters, which had been set up in the former ‘Anah Youth Federation building, was attacked by Resistance men armed with light and medium machine guns and rockets.
The eyewitnesses said that the Resistance men unleashed a hail of gun and rocket fire at the building, heavily damaging it and destroying an observation post on the roof. A US force tried to exit the headquarters to fight the attackers outside the facility, but the Resistance men set fire and totally destroyed one American Humvee. One US soldier was killed and two more of them wounded.

Pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia set up fake checkpoint, abduct 20 Sunnis in sectarian campaign in Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 2:12pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia, working to partition Iraq along religious lines and drive Sunnis out of Baghdad set up a false checkpoint on the as-Sarrafiyah Bridge by the Shi‘i Buratha Mosque.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that militiamen wearing puppet police uniforms were identifying Sunnis from their IDs and forcing them out of their cars and into their custody. The captive Sunnis were then being taken to an unknown destination.
The correspondent reported that between 10 and 15 Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen were stationed at the checkpoint where they had already kidnapped more than 20 Sunnis as of the time of reporting.
The Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia is run by Muqtada as-Sadr, a Shi‘i cleric loyal to Iran, which is seeking to extend its regional hegemony and step into the shoes of the American occupation in Iraq.
Resistance fighter blows himself up killing 10 puppet policemen and recruits in Baghdad Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:41am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter wearing an explosive belt blew himself up in the midst of a group of recruits to the Iraqi puppet police in eastern Baghdad on Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the fighter detonated his explosive belt in the midst of a group of men trying to join the US-run puppet police outside the police academy on Palestine Street in eastern Baghdad.
The source said that the Resistance fighter stood in line with the recruits at the back door of the police academy building and then detonated himself, killing eight recruits and two puppet policemen who were standing guard. Fifteen other recruits were wounded in the blast in varying degrees.
Resistance bombards Jaysh al-Mahdi militia headquarters in Baghdad’s al-Hurriyah Wednesday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 3:37pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two Grad rockets into a headquarters of the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in northern Baghdad at 4pm local time Wednesday afternoon.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Jaysh al-Mahdi headquarters in the al-Hurriyah district of northern Baghdad inflicted considerable material damage on the building, killing or wounding at least eight Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen.
The regional hegemonic regime in Iran is seeking to secure its hold in Iraq by using Shi‘i sectarian leaders and organizations. They hope to step into the shoes of the American occupation authorities whose grip on the country has been weakened by three years of increasingly severe Resistance attacks. To forestall Iran’s attempt to replace America as colonial power in Iraq, the Iraqi Resistance continues its battle against pro-Iranian as well as US and pro-US groups and facilities.
Armed men kill professors on al-Mustansiriyah University’s Law faculty Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:09pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that unknown armed men shot and killed the Assistant Dean of the College of Law at Baghdad’s al-Mustansiriyah University and another professor in the college after noon on Wednesday.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a group of armed men sprayed the car in which Dr. Muntazir Muhammad al-Hamdani, the Assistant Dean of the College of Law at al-Mustansiriyah University and Dr. ‘Ali Jassam, a professor in the same Law College with machine gun and light arms bullets. The attack took place in the as-Salikh district of northern Baghdad. The source said that the attack left al-Hamdani, Jassam, and two of their bodyguards dead on the scene.
Brigadier General in Iraqi puppet army shot dead in western Baghdad Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:08pm Makkah time midday Thursday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed a brigadier general in the Iraqi puppet army at about 5:30pm Wednesday evening.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance men opened fire on Brigadier General ‘Imad Jasim, of the new puppet army near his home in al-Ghazaliyah in western Baghdad, killing him instantly. The Resistance fighters then left he area.

Resistance fighters kill puppet police lieutenant colonel in Tikrit Wednesday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 11:47am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed a lieutenant colonel in the Iraqi puppet police in Tikrit, about 180km north of Baghdad on Wednesday evening.
The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a detachment of Resistance men opened fire with machine guns on Lieutenant Colonel Ahmad Khalid Salih as he was on his way home in the al-Qadisiyah neighborhood of the city. Salih died instantly and the Resistance fighters left the scene. Lieutenant Colonel Salih worked in the headquarters of the puppet police command for Salah ad-Din Province.

Resistance mortars bombard puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in al-Mada’in, Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:17pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 60mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in al-Mada’in, about 25km southeast of Baghdad on Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the attack set off explosions that shook the city and could be heard everywhere in town. Clouds of smoke and dust billowed up into the sky over the camp. The American occupation troops sent in reinforcements apparently directly to the camp to evacuate casualties.

Resistance bomb targets motorcade of puppet police commander in Kirkuk Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 3:06pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by the motorcade of Colonel ‘Adnan Muhammad, the puppet police chief in the al-‘Adalah district to the south of the city at about 11:30am local time Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bomb, which had been planted in the Mahallat al-Wasiti area, caused no harm to the colonel, according to a puppet police source, but two of his bodyguards were wounded and taken to hospital for treatment.
Iraqi Resistance car bomber blasts puppet army checkpoint southwest of Kirkuk Wednesday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 12:02pm Makkah time midday Thursday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a checkpoint manned by Iraqi puppet soldiers in the northern city of Kirkuk on Wednesday evening.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the car bomber burst into the checkpoint southwest of Kirkuk on the road to al-Hawijah on Wednesday evening. The attacker detonated his car inside the checkpoint, killing one Iraqi puppet soldier and wounding four more of them, three of them severely. The injured men were taken to hospital for treatment.

Resistance bomb targets US patrol in al-Mawsil Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in southeastern al-Mawsil on Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a bomb that had been planted near the al-Hasud fuel station in the al-Intisar neighborhood blew up by a US patrol in the area at about 8am local time Thursday morning. That source declined to provide any further details.
US troops lay down a security cordon around the area preventing anyone from approaching.
