US snipers shoot dead four Iraqi civilians, wound nine more after taking control of downtown ar-Ramadi Wednesday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 10:35pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Marekat Islam reported that after a battle with Iraqi Resistance forces, US troops were able to take control of 17 Street and the ‘Ishtar Hotel in ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad on Wednesday afternoon. The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that an extremely massive US force advanced on the city under cover from US aircraft and engaged the Iraqi Resistance in a short battle in which they were able to seize control of the heart of the city.

The correspondent reported that after the engagement, the Americans posted snipers atop buildings along the vital street in the city and on the roof of the ‘Ishtar Hotel, the biggest hotel in ar-Ramadi. Those American snipers proceeded to shoot and kill four local civilians, two of them children, and wounded nine other civilians according to a source in ar-Ramadi General Hospital, where the casualties were taken.

Resistance blasts puppet police station in Hit Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:57am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a barrage of 82mm and 60mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of the Iraqi puppet police in the city of Hit, 165km northwest of Baghdad on Tuesday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses assaying that the attack inflicted heavy material damage on the building and killed one puppet policeman.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance fighters hurl hand grenades at Iraqi puppet police in al-Fallujah Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:42pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a puppet police patrol in al-Fallujah on Tuesday afternoon. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the Resistance men lobbed hand grenades at the puppet police near Maysalun Square in the al-Andalus neighborhood of central al-Fallujah, sparking a firefight between the two sides. The puppet police called in reinforcements but the source would offer no further details about the engagement.

Americans arrest residents in al-Karmah Tuesday night while their allies in the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” rob their houses.

In a dispatch posted at 1:25pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops carried out campaign of raids and arrests in the town of al-Karmah just north of al-Fallujah on Tuesday. As the Americans arrested residents, their allies the Iraqi puppet army robbed their houses.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the as-Subayhat area of eastern al-Karmah as saying that the Americans raided the houses on the pretext of searching for Resistance fighters. They arrested 12 local individuals. Meawhile, puppet “Iraqi National Guards” accompanying the Americans stole mobile telephones and cash, whenever they found some, in the houses they were raiding. Local residents referred to this as their “usual practice.”

Resistance blasts Iraqi puppet army headquarters in al-Fallujah at dawn Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:41pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that five explosions, one after the other, shook the headquarters of the Iraqi puppet army in al-Fallujah at dawn on Wednesday when Resistance fighter blasted the camp with 82mm mortars.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Jawlan neighborhood of northwestern al-Fallujah as saying that the Resistance mortars blasted a number of houses in their area, all of them occupied by the puppet army. The witnesses said that the explosions could be heard from afar and smoke could be seen rising from the occupied houses.

Resistance bombards largest US base in al-Fallujah two times within 24 hours.

In a dispatch posted at 11:53am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two Katyusha rockets into the US as-Simak base in the middle of al-Fallujah, 60km west of Baghdad at 10pm local time Tuesday night. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the barrage set off two powerful explosions that shook the American-occupied facility and sent clouds of smoke rising into the sky.

As-Simak, the largest US base inside al-Fallujah, is a regular target of Resistance rocket and mortar attacks.

In a dispatch posted at 3:44pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, Iraqi Resistance forces fired several mortar rounds into the US as-Simak base in central al-Fallujah, setting off explosions that could be heard in many parts of the city. Shopkeepers near the US camp saw clouds of smoke and dust envelope the American-occupied facility after the attack, adding that they rushed to close down their shops and leave the area for fear of one of the Americans’ indiscriminate retaliatory strikes.

Baghdad.

Four US troops reported killed in Iraqi Resistance car bombing in Baghdad; US admits six Americans killed in three bombings.

In a dispatch posted at 10:40pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a joint patrol of US troops and their allies the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” on the highway in the as-Salikh area of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the blast killed four US soldiers and six Iraqi puppet troops, and wounded three US soldiers. An Iraqi puppet “Shock Troop” vehicle was totally destroyed in the attack.

In other attacks in Baghdad on Wednesday, an Iraqi Resistance fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a check point manned by puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in the al-Jadiriyah area near the University of Baghdad. The attack left 45 dead, eight of those high-ranking puppet officers. After the attack the authorities closed the al-Jadiriyah Bridge, cutting the al-Karakh district off from ar-Rusafah for four full hours.

A Resistance car bomb in al-Kasrah Wednesday left four puppet police dead and seven more of them wounded. Another car bomb in the al-Bayya‘ area opposite the ar-Rabi‘ restaurant targeted a puppet police patrol, killing five puppet policemen and wounding 11 more of them.

Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in the al-A‘zamiyah area of the occupied Iraqi capital, killing 13 of the puppet “Guards.” Their bodies lay strewn about the streets for an hour and a half after the Resistance fighters withdrew from the area, witnesses reported.

Eyewitnesses reported that the Resistance waged a half-hour battle with US troops on the road to Saddam International Airport in which violent explosions and gunfire could be heard.

A mortar round exploded in the al-Ghazaliyah district at about 11am local time. It later became clear that the shell was aimed at a US vehicle, which it destroyed completely, according to witnesses who were on the scene at the time.

The number of Iraqi Resistance bomb attacks on US and Iraqi puppet forces in Baghdad decreased sharply on Wednesday from previous days, as the car bombs took their place. There were on Wednesday only seven regular bomb attacks in Baghdad, three of them targeting the Americans and four aimed at the Iraqi puppet forces.

The three Resistance bomb attacks that killed Americans in Baghdad ﾐ specifically in al-Yarmuk, ad-Durah, and al-‘Amiriyah ﾐ during the morning and midday of Wednesday left six Americans dead according to a report issued by the Americans’ Joint Coordination Center, which stated that the bombs consisted of heavy 120mm mortar rounds that had been turned into time bombs.

Resistance bomb destroys US intelligence vehicle on Airport Road in western Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 4:48pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a column of four-wheel drive vehicles belonging to US intelligence, completely destroying one of them and killing or wounding all those aboard.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying hat a bomb that had been planted by the highway that runs past the al-‘Amiriyah area of western Baghdad on its way to Saddam International Airport blew up by a convoy of American four-wheel drive vehicles on their way back to the headquarters of the occupation in Iraq. Residents of al-‘Amiriyah who witnessed the attack said that the blast completely destroyed one of the vehicles, killing or wounding all aboard. US troops quickly arrived on the scene and closed the whole area off.

Resistance ambush leaves two puppet “Shock Troops” dead on Baghdad’s al-Munazzamah Street midday Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 4:49pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance detachment mounted a violent assault on a patrol of puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in western Baghdad at midday Wednesday.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters opened fire with light and medium machine guns and rocket-propelled grenades on a patrol of puppet “Shock Troops” on al-Munazzamah street in western Baghdad. The attack left one of the patrol vehicles ablaze and two of the puppet troops dead and three more of them wounded.

Resistance sharpshooter kills puppet “Shock Troop” soldier at roadblock Wednesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 1:10pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a soldier in the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in Baghdad on Wednesday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Zuyunah as saying that one of the “Shock Troops” manning a checkpoint in their area took a direct hit from a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet, killing him.

Car bomb kills four civilians in predominantly Sunni al-A‘zamiyah district of Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 11:27am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a car bomb exploded in the predominantly Sunni district of al-A‘zamiyah in Baghdad, killing four persons and wounding seven more ﾐ all of them civilians. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that local people suspect that the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi or Badr Brigade militia were likely behind the bombing. The explosives-packed car was parked by the side of a road when it exploded and no one was inside.

Resistance bomb explodes under US column in at-Tarimiyah Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 10:40pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb exploded by a US military column in at-Tarimiyah, about 30km north of Baghdad on Wednesday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the blast disabled a US Humvee, killing or wounding all the American troops aboard it.

Resistance blasts pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia headquarters in Balad with mortars Wednesday noon.

In a dispatch posted at 4:54pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two Katyusha rockets into a headquarters of the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in the city of Balad, about 80km north of Baghdad at midday Wednesday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the headquarters took direct hits causing heavy damage to the Jaysh al-Mahdi facility and leaving “numerous” casualties in the ranks of the pro-Iranian militia. The Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia is run by Muqtada as-Sadr, a Shi‘i cleric loyal to Iran, which is seeking to extend its regional hegemony and step into the shoes of the American occupation in Iraq.

Tikrit.

Resistance sharpshooter kills puppet “Iraqi National Guardsman” in Tikrit Wednesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 4:39pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a soldier in the Iraqi puppet “National Guard” in the middle of Tikrit, about 180km north of Baghdad on Wednesday morning.

The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a puppet “Guard” foot patrol was moving through the area when one of the “Guards” took a direct hit in the face from a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet, killing him instantly. The witnesses said that in response, the other puppet “Guards” opened fire wildly and hysterically into the air.

Resistance blasts puppet “Shock Troop” headquarters in al-Mada’in Tuesday night.

In a dispatch posted at 2:59pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired ten 82mm mortar rounds into a headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in the town of al-Mada’in, about 25km southeast of Baghdad at 8pm local time Tuesday night.

The al-Mada’in correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the “Shock Troop” headquarters took direct hits in the barrage, which shook the building violently. They added that Iraqi and US ambulances were seen hurriedly entering the facility apparently to evacuate casualties from the bombardment.

Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee in al-Latifiyah Tuesday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 4:36pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in al-Latifiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad on Tuesday afternoon.

The al-Latifiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road near the al-Gharan area of the city when a US patrol was driving through the area. The witnesses said that the blast completely destroyed a US Humvee, killing or wounding all the American troops aboard. Afterwards, US forces closed off the entire area.

US soldier reported killed by Resistance sharpshooter in al-Hawijah Wednesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 4:56pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier in al-Hawijah on Wednesday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a US patrol had halted in the city and most of the American troops had got out of their vehicles when a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet struck one of the US troops directly in the head, killing him. The Americans then called in reinforcements and closed off the entire area, after which they proceeded to carry out searches looking for the sharpshooter, but failed to find any sign of him.

Heavy mortars pound US headquarters in al-Hawijah.

In a dispatch posted at 3:01pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the headquarters of US occupation forces in the city of al-Hawijah, southwest of Kirkuk, setting off violent explosions that rocked the facility.

The al-Hawijah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Resistance shells scored direct hits on the American headquarters, and that helicopters flew in over the facility after the attack, prowling the skies there for several hours, apparently looking in vain for the Resistance men who carried out the attack.

Kirkuk.

Resistance bomb targets Iraqi puppet army column south of Kirkuk Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:38pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of puppet Iraqi army troops in Kirkuk on Wednesday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb, which was planted by the main road liking Kirkuk with Tikrit in the south, completely disabled an Iraqi puppet army Humvee and killed two of the Iraqi puppet troops who were aboard. Two more of the puppet troops were injured in the attack, one of them severely.

In a dispatch posted at 12:07pm Makkah time midday Wednesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk on Tuesday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the main road in the al-Kurnish area of northern Kirkuk went off by a passing patrol of the puppet police, damaging a patrol vehicle and wounding three puppet policemen who were taken to hospital for treatment.
