Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter reportedly kills US Marine in ‘Anah Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 4:04pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US Marine who was on patrol in the city of ‘Anah, about 300km northwest of Baghdad on Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter opened fire on a Marine foot patrol that was operating near the Third Market in the middle of ‘Anah at about 9am local time Thursday morning. Eyewitnesses said that one of the Marines took a direct hit in the head, killing him instantly to the shock and confusion of his comrades who quickly left the area and never caught the Resistance sharpshooter.

Three US troops believed killed in Resistance attack on US vehicle in ar-Ramadi Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:58pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in northwestern ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad, at 10am local time Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported motorists who witnessed the attacks as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the strategic road northwest of the city blew up by a US patrol that was driving past.
The explosion burned and completely destroyed an American Humvee. The witnesses said that they saw US troops trying to pull their comrades out of the vehicle as it burned. They said that at least three American soldiers were killed in the attack and two more of them must have been severely burned if they survived.
US Marine reported killed in Resistance sharpshooter attack in ar-Ramadi Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 1:56pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US Marine in the city of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad on Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Mal‘ab neighborhood as saying that a group of Marines were getting out of their vehicle near 20 Street in order to secure the area for the passage of other American forces when one of the Marines was struck in the head and killed by a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet. US forces opened fire indiscriminately after the attack, striking nearby buildings but killing no one.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance rocket strikes US base in al-Karmah Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 4:10pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired an S5K rocket into a US base in the vicinity of al-Karmah, about 7km east of al-Fallujah on Thursday morning.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Karmah as saying that the rocket scored a direct hit inside the US base, setting off a loud explosion.
Witnesses said they saw plumes of smoke and flames rising from inside the American camp after the rocket strike. US helicopters flew in and prowled the skies over the base and the surrounding area for some time after the attack.
Resistance bombards US base in as-Saqlawiyah Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:48pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired about six 82mm mortar rounds into a US base located in as-Saqlawiyah, about15km northwest of al-Fallujah on Thursday morning.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the shells landed on the US base set up near the Technical Institute in northern as-Saqlawiyah. Witnesses said that the sound of the explosions could be heard a long distance from the base and that plumes of smoke and dust were seen rising from the facility immediately after the attack.
Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee on patrol in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 3:35pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by a road in the middle of the an-Nu‘aymiyah area of southern al-Fallujah blew up by a passing American patrol. The explosion completely destroyed a Humvee, killing or wounding all the US troops aboard. The American troops in the patrol immediately closed off the area and raided a number of homes in the area.
Resistance ambushes US patrol, sparking nighttime gun battle in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:46pm Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Resistance fighters ambushed a US patrol as it was entering the ash-Shuhada’ neighborhood of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad, sparking a fierce gun battle during the night of Wednesday ミ Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents in ash-Shuhada’ ミ who were only able to hear the fighting, not see what was going on, due to the curfew that was in force in the city ミ as saying that the firefight went on for more than a quarter hour, stopped, and then resumed with even greater ferocity. The residents heard big explosions that shook the whole area but had no information on the nature or extent of casualties.
At sunrise on Thursday, residents found that US troops had surrounded the area where the battle took place but had not arrested anyone.

Resistance blasts puppet “National Guard” checkpoint with mortars Wednesday night.
In a dispatch posted at 3:46pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three 82mm mortar rounds into a checkpoint manned by puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in the Abu Ghurayb area, about 30km west of Baghdad at 9pm local time Wednesday night.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the checkpoint, which was located on the bridge in the Abu Ghurayb area on the International Highway took direct hits in the attack. Local witnesses said that the sound of the exploding mortar rounds was particularly violent and that they could hear ambulances racing to the scene of the attack, indicating that casualties were likely to have occurred.

Resistance fighters kill colonel in puppet “Iraqi Intelligence Service” in Baghdad’s as-Sayyidiyah Thursday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 7:25pm Makkah time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed a high-ranking officer in the Iraqi puppet Intelligence Service in the southwestern Baghdad district of as-Sayyidiyah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Colonel Haqqi Isma‘il of the puppet Intelligence Service, who served as head of the analysis and follow-up department took five bullets in the head and died instantly. At the time of reporting Iraqi puppet police had surrounded the area where the attack took place.
Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter kills official in Badr Brigade organization in Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 7:11pm Makkah time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed Sayyid Haydar Abu Karrar, an official in the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigades for the the al-Mansur and ash-Shawwakah districts of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses who were in the area when the attack occurred as saying that Abu Karrar took a direct hit in the head. His wife, children, and the neighbors rushed out intent on taking him to the hospital but he had died instantly.
Two days earlier the Iraqi Resistance carried out a similar attack, killing a pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi official responsible for three Baghdad neighborhoods.
Resistance bomb kills two puppet “National Guards” in southern Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 4:50pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a foot patrol of puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in the Hur Rajab area of southern Baghdad on Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the al-‘Abbas Brigades took responsibility for the bombing, which killed two puppet “National Guards” and wounded a number of others. Witnesses reported seeing vehicles transporting the bodies of the two dead “National Guardsmen” from the scene.
Eight acknowledged killed in Resistance attack on US National Democratic Institute representative’s convoy on Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 2:22pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US military acknowledged that eight people had been killed in a Resistance attack on two four-wheel-drive vehicles in Baghdad’s al-Yarmuk district on Thursday morning, just as Mafkarat al-Islam had reported Wednesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American military had announced that what it called “terrorists” had attacked employees of the American “National Democratic Institute” who were one American woman, a Hungarian, and a Croatian, in addition to employees of an Australian company and some Iraqis, all of whom were killed in the attack, which took place after they came out of the headquarters of the Iraqi Islamic Party, a Sunni sectarian party collaborating with the US occupation.
An AFP report on Wednesday stated that the Croatian, Hungarian, and Iraqis killed in the attack had worked for the Unity Resources Group (URG), an Australian “security company.”
Mafkarat al-Islam quoted ‘Ala’ Makki, a spokesman for the Iraqi Islamic Party, as saying, “the Party expresses its shock and sorrow over what happened to the delegation. This is the first time that employees of this Institute have been attacked, despite their having visited the Party recurrently.”
University professor reported murdered by pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian militias Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:27pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a group of armed men shot and killed a university professor in western Baghdad on Wednesday.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that armed men killed Dr. Majid Nasir Husayn, a professor in the College of Veterinary Medicine in the University of Baghdad as he was returning home in the predominantly Sunni district of al-‘Amiriyah.
Local witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian militias committed the murder.
Resistance bomb explodes by puppet police patrol in southwest Baghdad Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:22pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol in southwestern Baghdad on Thursday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of a road in the ash-Shurtah al-Khamisah district of southwestern Baghdad blew up by a patrol of the puppet police. The blast heavily damaged a four-wheel-drive patrol vehicle, wounding two of the puppet policemen who were later taken to hospital for treatment.
Fate of puppet Municipal Administrator of al-Mansur in Baghdad still a mystery.
In a dispatch posted at 1:12pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that nothing was known about the fate of the puppet Municipal Administrator for the western Baghdad district of al-Mansur who was abducted on Wednesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that unknown armed men intercepted the motorcade of the puppet Administrator, killed his four bodyguards, and then put the Administrator himself in the trunk of one of their civilian cars and drove away to an unknown destination.
The correspondent reported that no Resistance group had taken responsibility for the abduction, which took place at a time of numerous kidnappings in the city, a large number of which are carried out by Shi‘i sectarian militias.
On Wednesday it was reported that the Administrator had been abducted by Iraqi Resistance forces for having allowed the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia into al-Mansur under official cover. Reports on Thursday, however, quoted local eyewitnesses as saying that the abduction of the puppet official must have been carried out by the Shi‘i sectarian militias, since it took place in full view of Iraqi puppet security forces who are allied with the Shi‘i sectarian militias.
Resistance sharpshooter kills truck driver hauling supplies to US forces in ad-Durah.
In a dispatch posted at 11:49am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a truck driver working for the US occupation forces in Iraq.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter opened fire on a driver of a truck in a convoy travel the highway running by the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah bringing supplies to the American forces. The driver was killed instantly and his truck, which was loaded with bottled water, overturned and was destroyed.
Afterwards, US forces completely closed the highway, hauled away the wreckage and the body and cleaned up the road.
Resistance sharpshooter kills Jaysh al-Mahdi commander in Zuyunah on Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:14pm Makkah time midday Thursday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a commander in the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in the eastern Baghdad district of Zuyunah on Wednesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the area as saying that the Resistance sharpshooter killed one of the Jaysh al-Mahdi commanders in the Zuyunah region when was getting out of his car after arriving there to pay a visit to relatives. Local people identified the man as a Jaysh al-Mahdi commander, facilitating his killing.
Mafkarat al-Islam reported that many of the killings of Jaysh al-Mahdi members by sharpshooters had been carried out by members of one Resistance organization in the area. Just in Zuyunah alone, they have killed more than 10 Jaysh al-Mahdi militia leaders and nine members of the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir),” a group largely made up of Shi‘i sectarian militiamen.

Resistance bombards US base in Tikrit at dawn Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:45pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired nine 82mm mortar rounds into a US military headquarters in Tikrit, about 180km north of Baghdad at dawn Thursday.
The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the base took direct hits in the attack, which sparked large fires on the base, which is also used by local Iraqi puppet army forces. Smoke billowed up from the facility, the road to which was closed.

US troops, Iraqi puppet police carry out raids, searches, arrests in ad-Dawr at dawn Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:05pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that puppet police and US occupation troops carried out a campaign of raids, searches, and arrests in ad-Dawr, about 150km north of Baghdad at dawn Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the ad-Dawr al-‘Ummaliyah in the middle of the town as sayig that a regiment of puppet Emergency Provincial Police and a patrol of US troops based in the area carried out the raids. The witnesses said that the Americans arrested 10 local residents, putting bags on their heads and leading them to US vehicles and then driving them to an American base. No explanation for the raids and arrests was given.

Resistance Grad rocket blasts puppet “Shock Troops” headquarters in Samarra’ neighborhood.
In a dispatch posted at 12:59pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a Grad rocket into a position occupied by the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawair)” in Samarra’, about 120km north of Baghdad.
The Samarra’ correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the as-Sikak neighborhood as saying that the “Shock Troop” headquarters in their neighborhood took a direct hit from a Grad rocket. The witnesses had no direct information on the nature or extent of casualties but thought that it was probable that such an explosion directly in their headquarters would not leave the personnel unscathed. Plumes of smoke were seen rising from the facility. It is believed that the Grad was fired from a village in the vicinity of Samarra’.

Resistance demolishes puppet “Iraqi National Guard” headquarters in al-Latifiyah midday Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 4:14pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six heavy 120mm mortar rounds into a headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in al-Latifiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad at about 12 noon Thursday.
The al-Latifiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the heavy bombardment was extremely destructive of the headquarters itself as well as of the fortifications surrounding it. Several puppet “National Guards” were killed or wounded in the attack. The witnesses said that US troops arrived on the scene and an American medical helicopter landed in the headquarters in what was an apparent emergency rescue mission trying to evacuated dead and wounded from the facility.

Resistance bomb kills four puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in al-Yusufiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet “Iraqi National Guard” patrol in the city of al-Yusufiyah, 30km southwest of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up as a puppet “National Guard” patrol drove past. The explosion killed four puppet “Guards” and destroyed their Humvee. The witnesses added that the other puppet troops opened fire intensively but indiscriminately around the area after the explosion, and then completely sealed off the area.

Resistance group takes responsibility for attack on British supply convoy near al-Basrah on Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 9:42pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance organization the al-‘Abbas Brigades in the southern city of al-Basrah announcing its responsibility for destroying a large supply truck that was bringing provisions to British occupation troops in the city.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that members of the al-‘Abbas Brigades planted a bomb on the al-Basrah Highway along which the supply trucks were passing on Wednesday. The explosion then destroyed one of the trucks.
The same organization took responsibility for a Resistance bombing in Baghdad’s Hur Rajab district on Thursday.
