それでも政権交代はない
今年は選挙の年である。新年の新聞、雑誌はこぞって選挙関連の記事を載せ始めた。果たして民主党は自民党に勝つことができるのか。そして政権交代を実現させることができるのか。
私は政権交代を心から願う一人だ。独裁国家じゃあるまいし。一党支配が永遠に続く事が良いはずはない。とにかく一度自民党を権力の座からひきずりおろしてみる。そこから何かが始まる。
そう願う私でさえも政権交代は当分無理だと思わざるを得ない。そこが問題である。これだけ自公政権の国民いじめが進んでいるのだ。おまけに不祥事続出で安倍首相の支持率も下がっている。本来ならば自公政権は参議院選挙で勝てないはずだ。野党にとってこれほどのチャンスはまたとないはずだ。それでも自公は過半数を確保するだろう。政権交代は起こらないと思う。
いつまでたっても政権交代が実現しない最大の原因は、もちろん野党のだらしなさにある。野党第一党の民主党は自民党の真の対立軸ではない。だから安保政策一つをとってみても自民党の政策を攻めきれない。だからといって日本共産党に投票するという日本人は増えない。共産党はあくまでも反自民のガス抜き役でしか過ぎない。社民党に至っては主義主張を捨てて自民党と連立を組んだ１９９６年にとっくに終わっている。いまさら平和、護憲といってみたところでどの面下げてという思いの国民は多いに違いない。
このようにただでさえ弱い野党がいつまでたっても一致団結きないでいる。それどころかお互いを罵り合っている。これでは勝てるはずがない。だから今度の参議院選挙で野党は負ける。政権交代どころか野党が空中分解する。
その後の日本の政治はどうなるのか。目もくらむような自公の悪政が日本を覆うだろう。日米軍事同盟は進み増税や保険、年金の削除が国民の暮らしを苦しめていく。その一方で富裕層や現状満足派も増え、これら強者が自公政権を支え続ける。強者に支えられた国家はその権力をますます強め弱者を監視していく。そんな中で憲法改正という最後のテーマが現実のものとなる。米国従属の日本が完成するのだ。
もちろんそんな日本が良いはずはない。国民の間で支配者の横暴に抵抗しようとする何らかの動きが始まらないとウソだ。果たしてそれが本格的な政界大編成の動きにつながっていくのか。すべては参議院選挙の後から始まる。それまではエネルギーを蓄えて高みの見物をしていればいいのだ。
Election Year and Regime Change in Japan
Year 2007 is an election year in Japan. In July Japanese people go to vote for the Upper House . Does opposition parties win majority seats and pave the way for change of regime?
At present the Liberal Democratic Party allied with Komeito (Buddhism Party) has majority seats in both the Upper House and the Lower House. If opposition parties will get more than half of the Upper House seats in coming election, Prime Minister Abe, the leader of LDP, will be pressed to dissolve his cabinet and go to the general election of the Lower House. If Mr. Abe will lose the general election as well, then Regime Change will actually occur.
But that does not seem to happen. The reason is simple. Opposition Parties are just so weak and incompetent. The biggest opposition party, The Democratic Party, is a conservative party by its nature and looks like the mini -LDP. It cannot be an alternative to the LDP. Other opposition parties, i.e. the Communist Party and the Social-Democratic Party are never able to gain people’s support. Average Japanese people never believe the Communist Party. The Social –Democratic Party once betrayed their supporters when it allied with the LDP and became the government party throwing away its basic platform of Anti-Japan/US alliance in 1996.
To make matters worse all opposition parties are criticizing each other and never be united to fight against the LDP.
Therefore the LDP will win in the coming election and Mr. Abe’s regime will strengthen its power and accelerate its pro- US foreign policy and market oriented economic policy. As a result Japan will be divided further between rich and poor, strong and weak. This is like an America. This is not what Japan is supposed to be. Japan is losing its value and even destroying herself.
It is interesting to see whether Japanese people are obedient enough to accept this situation or at certain point they will stand up and ask a real regime change. A new trend will occur, if it may do so, after the election of July. Let us watch.
