You're right. Having just returned and having too much
to do at once, the article is too long for me to read
and focus on right now, especially since I have about
three deadlines to deal with, related to my book, and
three weeks of things to straighten out.
So reading it carefully will have to wait. But I read
three paragraphs, and I agree, it definitely seems
quite phony to me too. That's just my quick, off the
cuff, opinion. But I should say also that I am totally
unfamiliar with this subject and with the person. It
sounds like some sort of sensationalism. But again,
since I am completely unfamiliar with this subject, my
opinion may not be worth much.
Sorry I can't be more helpful right now. Give me a
week or so. Is that OK?
Please forget what I just said in my last email. I
just read a few more paragraphs, and familiarized
myself a little more with the subject, the people,
etc., and I am afraid I have to change my opinion a
little. What I mean is I can't really judge if it is
phony or not. It seems phony, but I can't form a real
opinion unless I know a lot more about Mr. Paulson and
the case Mr. Story is discussing. Also I would have to
read about Mr. Story as well, that is, what other
people write about him, so that I could form a real
opinion about his credibility.
