Resistance blasts joint US-Iraqi puppet army camp near ‘Anah Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five 82mm mortar rounds into the joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in the town of ar-Rayhanah, near ‘Anah, about 300km northwest of Baghdad Friday morning.

The ‘Anah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that that five shells scored direct hits on the facility, setting off audible explosions inside and sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

The witnesses said that a joint US-Iraqi puppet army force deployed in ar-Rayhana and the surrounding areas after the attack, searching for the Resistance fighters. They found nothing. A ban on all motor traffic was also imposed on the city until further notice.

Al-Hadithah.

American casualties reported after two Iraqi Resistance bombs blast US column south of al-Hadithah Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12:24pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded simultaneously by a US military column to the south of al-Hadithah on Friday morning.

The al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the two bombs went off at the eastern entrance to the village of Allus, south of al-Hadithah as a US column drove past. The blasts destroyed two American military vehicles, one of them a Zeal troop transport and the other a Humvee. Witnesses said that US Medevac helicopters landed four times one after another at the scene of the attack to evacuate dead or wounded Amercans, indicating that there must have been a large number of casualties.

Resistance forces mount two attacks on US headquarters in Hit railroad station Thursday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 12:08pm Makkah time midday Friday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds into the US headquarters set up in the Hit railroad station on Thursday evening.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam in Hit, 165km northwest of Baghdad, reported eyewitnesses as saying that explosions could clearly be heard shaking the US-occupied headquarters and sending pillars of smoke rising into the sky.

In a separate attack, Resistance fighters opened fire with light and medium machine guns on the same headquarters, sparking a gun battle between Resistance men and US troops that lasted about half an hour.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance car bomber blasts into joint US-Iraqi puppet army checkpoint in al-Fallujah leaving one US soldier, three Iraqi puppet army troops reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 4:16pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a checkpoint in western al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance fighter went through the first check point in a series of check points at the western entrance to al-Fallujah. The Resistance fighter then detonated his car in the midst of a group of US and Iraqi puppet army troops. The explosion killed one American soldier and three of the Iraqi puppet troops and wounded five more of them in varying degrees of severity.

The witnesses reported that the American and Iraqi puppet troops at the checkpoint responded to the attack by opening fire intensively and indiscriminately. They then closed down the checkpoint in the fact of the Iraqis lined up and waiting to be passed through.

US launches campaign to install spy cameras around al-Fallujah to try to combat escalating Resistance attacks against US forces in the city.

In a dispatch posted at 11:51am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US military forces have launched a major campaign to install spy cameras in neighborhoods and streets of the city of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad in an effort to put an end to Resistance activity in the city.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that US occupation troops began an extensive effort to install a large number of spy cameras in various parts of the city on Thursday.

The source said that the Americans installed the cameras atop tall towers surrounded by barbed wire. The towers were surrounded by barbed wire and signs were posted around them warning everyone against approaching the towers.

So far, the correspondent reported, the cameras have been installed on al-Urdun Square between the al-Andalus and al-Ba‘th neighborhoods, also at the al-Hadrah al-Muhammadiyah intersection between the ad-Dubbat and al-Mu‘allimin neighborhoods, ad at the intersection in the al-Jawlan neighborhood. The Americans hope that the spy cameras will help reduce the number of attacks that the Resistance has been mounting against the occupation troops in al-Fallujah.

Samarra’.

Resistance sets fire to US headquarters in Samarra’ with powerful mortar barrage Thursday evening, following American abduction of children of tribal Shaykh.

In a dispatch posted at 11:32am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired an intensive barrage of eleven 82mm mortar rounds into the US military headquarters set up in the al-Buhayrah Hotel in the city of Samarra’, about 120km north of Baghdad on Thursday evening.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the shells scored direct hits on the American-occupied facility, setting off violent explosions that shook the hotel building and enveloped it in clouds of smoke. Witnesses said they could see fire burning inside the headquarters following the attack.

On Wednesday afternoon, US forces raided the home of Hamid al-Hanini a tribal Shaykh in the al-Hawish area, 4km northwest of Samarra’, taking his three children, aged 8 to 14, prisoner.

Resistance bomb reportedly kills US soldier in al-Latifiyah Thursday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column in al-Latifiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad on Thursday afternoon.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb, which had been planted by the side of the road that runs by al-Latifiyah, went off by a passing US military column, completely destroying a US Humvee and killing one American soldier and wounding three more of them, one of those severely.

After the attack, US forces closed off the road and the area for several hours.

Kirkuk.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet police patrol in Kirkuk Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 3:27pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the middle of Kirkuk on Friday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a bomb that had been planted by al-Kurnish Street between the Gharnatah Bridge and the Third Bridge in the middle of the city went off by a patrol of the puppet police.

The witnesses said that the blast destroyed one patrol vehicle, wounding two puppet policemen who were both taken to hospital for treatment.

Al-Mawsil.

Resistance fighters ambush puppet police patrol in eastern al-Mawsil.

In a dispatch posted at 3:55pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a puppet police patrol in eastern al-Mawsil.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that a detachment of Resistance fighters driving a BMW car opened fire on a puppet police patrol operating out of the Abu Tammam district puppet police station in the ar-Rifaq neighborhood in the northeastern part of the city.

A 15-minute gunfight ensued between the two sides but the source would offer no further details on the fate of the patrol. Eyewitnesses, however, reported that two puppet policemen were moderately wounded in the attack which also left one of the patrol vehicles damaged.

Resistance bomb targest puppet police patrol in al-Mawsil.

In a dispatch posted at 3:31pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol in southeastern al-Mawsil on Friday morning.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Ninwa Province puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted in the middle of the al-Mithaq neighborhood of southeastern al-Mawsil went off by a patrol of the Second Regiment of the puppet police, severely damaging two patrol vehicles and wounding a puppet policeman.

US troops blow up electronics repair shop in al-Mawsil, arrest proprietor on “suspicion” of helping the Resistance.

In a dispatch posted at 11:32am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces blew up the shop of a local resident whom they accused of helping the Iraqi Resistance.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that US forces blew up an repair shop for radio receivers on suspicion that the proprietor was selling components used by the Iraqi Resistance to make remote control detonators.

The source said that the Americans also arrested the proprietor and two of his customers who happened to be in the shop at the time when they came to blow it up.

Local witnesses told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Americans’ accusations were unfounded and that the shopkeeper was a simple man who just works to make a daily living and who has no relation to any armed operations.
