Iraqi Resistance car bomb blasts into US troop transport near al-Qa’im, reportedly killing seven Americans Wednesday night.

In a dispatch posted at 8:20pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a joint column of US and Iraqi puppet military forces in the Tiwan border area near al-Qa’im near the Iraqi-Syrian frontier.

The al-Qa’im correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the car bomber attacked a Zeal troop transport slamming into it and exploding. At least seven American troops were killed in the blast.

The correspondent reported that clouds of smoke still enveloped the entire area at the time of reporting and hat a number of Iraqi puppet “National Guards were also wounded in the attack.

Large numbers of US troops were surrounding the scene at the time of reporting as helicopters prowled the skies above.

Al-Hadithah.

Three Resistance car bombs blast US troops in al-Hadithah leaving 25 reported dead or wounded.

After nine-days of lockdown Resistance fighters blast US troops in al-Hadithah with three deadly car bombs, leaving a reported 25 Americans dead or wounded Wednesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 4:47pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the city of al-Haditha, 236km northwest of Baghdad rose against the US occupation after a grueling nine-day blockade. Resistance fighters in al-Hadhithah blasted the Americans with three simultaneous car bombs in the middle of the city on Wednesday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighters drove three explosive-laden cars into the American troops inflicting at least 25 US dead and wounded, according to an Iraqi Resistance source.

The source told Mafkarat al-Islam that the three car bombers targeted two American columns and one American troop congregation point nearly simultaneously on Wednesday morning.

Following the deadly triple car bombing, the Americans tightened their restrictions on the residents of the city. Although the US forces already had shut off clean running water to homes in the city, after the bombing the Americans stopped letting city residents go down to the Euphrates River to drink.

Resistance bombs blast US column at entrance to al-Hadithah on Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:12pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by a US column at the entrance to the city of al-Hadithah, 236km northwest of Baghdad after noon on Tuesday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Hadithah as saying that two bombs that had been planted by the entrance to the city went off destroying two US Humvees. The blasts inflicted casualties in the Americans’ ranks but no specific details on their nature or extent were available. After the attack, US forces closed off the road to al-Hadithah and the entire Upper Euphrates region. People on the road in the area had to take alternate dirt roads to avoid the checkpoints set up by US forces in the region while the International Highway that runs from Baghdad through western Iraq to Syria and Jordan was closed for more than four hours.

At least 10 US troops reported killed in complex Resistance ambush in Hit.

In a dispatch posted at 4:11pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance carried out a major attack on US occupation forces in the city of Hit. 165km northwest of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that the attack began when a high-explosive bomb that the Iraqi Resistance bomb had planted in the al-Jam‘iyah area of the city went off by a US military column. The huge explosion directly hit an American armored personnel carrier (APC), completely destroying it, sending parts of the vehicle flying around the area. At least four American troops who were aboard the APC were killed.

The witnesses said that the explosion caused the American column to halt and that US troops got out of their other vehicles in order to pull their comrades from the wrecked APC. But a detachment of Resistance fighters were waiting for them. Resistance sharpshooters prepositioned atop nearby tall buildings and Resistance men on the ground opened fire on the dismounting Americans with light and heavy machine guns sending the US troops into a panic. Three more American troops were killed and a number more wounded in this second stage of the attack.

Finally a column of US reinforcements sped to the aid of the American convoy but the Resistance had already planted a land mine in the road usually taken by American patrols coming into the area and one of the Humvees in the US relief column ran over it, totally destroying the vehicle and killing or wounding all the American troops aboard.

As a result of the complex operation at least 10 US troops were killed and more than that number wounded.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bomb targets US column in al-Fallujah midday Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 3:44pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column at midday Wednesday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been plated by the side of the road near the construction materials company at the 40 Street junction in the 7 Nisan neighborhood of the city went off by a US column as it drove past. The explosion disabled a Humvee in the column but no further information on the nature or extent of casualties was available because the surviving Americans sealed off the area and got out of their vehicles screaming hysterically at local people to stay back.

Bomb rips through US patrol in al-Fallujah Tuesday night.

In a dispatch posted at 12:53pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road in the 40 Street area of central al-Fallujah blew up by a US patrol late on Tuesday night, disabling an American Humvee. Since the attack took place during hours of nighttime curfew, no information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.

On Wednesday morning, American troops deployed in force in the area and could be seen patrolling the areas around the main street, 7 Nisan Street, and 40 Street.

Ar-Ramadi.

Three US Marines reported killed in Resistance bombing in ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 4:24pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road in the ath-Thilah neighborhood went off by a US patrol, damaging a Zeal troop transport loaded with American troops. The witnesses said that three US Marines were killed in the blast and two more of them wounded.

US troops arrest 73 residents of two ar-Ramadi neighborhoods in mass raids Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 4:14pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops had launched a campaign of raids, searches, and arrests in the city of ar-Ramadi about an hour earlier.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Americans blocked off the western exit from the city and then surrounded the al-Bakr and ad-Dubbat neighborhoods in the middle of ar-Ramadi, and proceeded to carry out house-to-house raids and searches. In the course of the raids, the American troops arrested 73 local residents, none of whom had anything to do with Resistance activity, the correspondent reported residents as saying. The witnesses said that the Americans arrested men ranging in age from 16 to 60.

Resistance attack annihilates 40 puppet “al-Anbar Salvation Council” police in ar-Ramadi. US troops just a few kilometers away, fail to intervene in two-hour gun battle.

In a dispatch posted at 1:09pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance men carried out a massive attack on the puppet “al-Anbar Salvation Council” puppet police in ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the as-Sufiyah area in the east of the city as saying that Resistance men armed with light and medium weapons carried out a major attack on the puppet police of the so-called “al-Anbar Salvation Council” in the al-Bu Sudah district where they were concentrated.

The witnesses said that the Resistance attack sparked a fierce gun battle that left 40 puppet “Salvation Council” policemen dead. Ten Iraqi Resistance men were killed or wounded in the engagement, which lasted about two hours. US forces did not intervene in the fighting even though they were just a few kilometers away.

Resistance clashes with US troops in ar-Ramadi midday Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:26pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that combat took place between Resistance fighters and US troop on 17 Street in the middle of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad at midday Tuesday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a US Humvee was destroyed in the fighting, after which US troops closed off the entire area and arrested five local civilian residents as American helicopters hovered over the area at low altitude and US troops hauled away the wrecked vehicles.

Resistance mounts attack on puppet Iraqi Ministry of Health.

In a dispatch posted at 4pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces armed with light and medium weapons assaulted the building of the puppet “Iraqi Ministry of Health” in downtown Baghdad.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet “Health Ministry” as saying that the building was attacked by Resistance men firing light and medium weapons, causing moderate damage to the structure but no casualties.

The source said that a detachment of puppet Iraqi Defense Ministry troops located in the former Iraqi Ministry of Defense building near the puppet “Health Ministry” failed to intervene to prevent the Resistance attack.

The puppet “Health Ministry was last attacked by the Resistance on Thursday, 23 November 2006. The puppet “Ministry” is a frequent target of Resistance attacks because the puppet “Minister of Health” in the regime of Nuri al-Maliki is a member of the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian movement of cleric Muqtada as-Sadr. There is widespread public resentment over the fact that the Sadr movement has taken a kind of proprietary control over hospitals throughout the country since a Sadr movement man was given control of the puppet “Health Ministry” in May.

Resistance blasts Jaysh al-Mahdi torture center with Katyusha rocket midday Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 1:51pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, Iraqi Resistance forces had fired a Katyusha rocket into a house behind the water pump in the ash-Shuhada’ neighborhood of Baghdad’s al-Bayya‘ district that was found to be a torture center run by the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the rocket blasted into the two-story house with an area of 500 square meters, destroying major parts of it and killing eight pro-Iranian sectarians inside.

A mortar shell launched 15 minutes after the Katyusha missed the torture house and blasted into the water pump, killing one workman there and wounding four more of them.

The witnesses reported that at the time of reporting, puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” were surrounding the area and had closed off all the streets. Ambulances could be seen halting in front of the torture house after the first emergency vehicle had filled up with dead and wounded, indicating that more casualties remained inside.

The fact that the building was being used as a torture center was disclosed on Tuesday by Mafkarat al-Islam dispatch.

Resistance fighters ambush puppet “National Guard” in al-Ghazaliyah.

In a dispatch posted at 1:08pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters clashed with a puppet “Iraqi National Guard” patrol in western Baghdad’s al-Ghazaliyah neighborhood.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance men armed with light and medium weapons attacked puppet “National Guards” near a checkpoint manned by the puppet police in al-Ghazaliyah, disabling one Humvee and killing or wounding all the puppet “National Guards” who were aboard it.

Tuesday afternoon mortar bombardment targets Sunni neighborhood in western Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 12:53pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that one person was killed and about 20 more wounded when the predominantly Sunni area district of al-Ghazaliyah came under mortar barrage on Tuesday afternoon.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local residents of al-Ghazaliyah as saying that mortar shells landed on a number of civilian homes in the area. The residents believed that the attack originated in the ash-Shu‘lah area, a stronghold of the Jaysh al-Mahdi, pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian militia.

Samarra’.

Resistance attacks puppet police checkpoint in Samarra’.

In a dispatch posted at 1:07pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a violent rocket barrage into an Iraqi puppet police observation post in the city of Samarra’.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the rockets destroyed large parts of the post that adjoined a checkpoint. The Resistance then attacked the checkpoint with light and medium machine guns, killing or wounding a number of the puppet police. Afterwards, the Resistance men withdrew from the area without having suffered any casualties.

Bayji.

Resistance sharpshooter shoots puppet policeman in Bayji Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:54pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed an Iraqi puppet policeman in Bayji, about 200km north of Baghdad, on Tuesday.

The Bayji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a member of the guard of the Bayji puppet police directorate command was killed when he was hit by a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet.

Afterwards puppet police surrounded the area and carried out raids that lasted several hours looking for the sharpshooter. They found nothing, however.

Khan Bani Sa‘d.

Pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarians attack Sunni village Tuesday night, killing six.

In a dispatch posted at 5:40pm Makkah time Wednesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gangs attacked the al-Bu Hamid village in the Khan Bani Sa‘d area, 40km northeast of Baghdad, on Tuesday night killing six local Sunni residents including one elderly man.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the pro-Iranians attacked during the time of American-imposed curfew when people were confined to their houses. They attacked the first three houses in the al-Bu Hamid area of Khan Bani Sa‘d and killed everyone they found there, six people in all. Local people defended themselves, killing one of the Shi‘i sectarians and wounding three more of them.
