Resistance rocket blasts US vehicle in ‘Anah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:11pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired an SPG-9 rocket into a US military patrol in the city of ‘Anah, about 300km northwest of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the attack occurred when the patrol was halted near the ‘Anah Youth Center ミ a facility that the Americans have taken over and turned into a local headquarters for themselves. Eyewitnesses said that the attack disabled a US vehicle, killing or wounding all the American troops who were aboard it.
Al-Fallujah.
US Marines throw families out of their homes in al-Fallujah turning houses into a US camp.
In a dispatch posted at 1:59pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops seized several private homes in al-Fallujah and threw the residents out, turning the houses into a US camp.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that US troops surrounded a number of rural houses in the an-Nu‘aymiyah area south of al-Fallujah at dawn on Thursday. The Americans then threw the families of the four houses out in the street and took over their homes, turning them into an American Marine camp and posting snipers atop their roofs. US forces had commandeered other houses in the city earlier in the month.
Thursday morning Resistance bomb leaves US troops reported dead in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:48pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in a suburb some 7km west of the center of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad at about 8am local time Thursday morning.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported residents of al-Halabisah who witnessed the attack as saying that the bomb went off by a US patrol in the Hamad area of al-Halabisah. The attack totally destroyed a Humvee, killing all aboard. Witnesses said they saw one of the American soldiers on fire inside the wrecked vehicle. The Americans rushed to close off the entire area and transport the bodies away in a large military ambulance.
US makes mass arrest of 200 in al-Fallujah Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:33am Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops made mass arrests in northern al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Wednesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the as-Sajar area of northern al-Fallujah as saying that the Americans launched a campaign of mass arrests together with their Iraqi puppet army allies on Wednesday, abducting more than 1,000 local residents including youths, and elderly men. All were gathered in the as-Sajar industrial garage and car park.
The witnesses said that among the Americans and their Iraqi helpers were men dressed in Iraqi puppet army uniforms who kept their faces masked. They went among the prisoners and singled out individuals who were supposedly “wanted” men. The Americans drew numbers on the hands of the prisoners and counted off more than 200 whom they put in Zeal troop transports and drove away to their base known as al-Mazra‘ah (“the Farm”). The remaining 800 or so men were released after having been under arrest for more than 12 hours.

Resistance bombards US headquarters in ar-Ramadi with heavy mortars early Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:26pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four 120mm mortar rounds into the Immigration Building in ar-Ramadi, a facility that the US occupation forces have taken over and turned into one of their local headquarters at 7am local time Thursday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad, that the barrage set off explosions inside the building and sent clouds of smoke rising into the sky.

In a dispatch posted at 5:43pm Makkah time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that four car bombs exploded in the Madinat Saddam area of Baghdad ミ a district dubbed “Madinat as-Sadr” since the US occupation. The area is a stronghold for the Jaysh al-Mahdi Shi‘i sectarian militia. The Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia is run by Muqtada as-Sadr, a Shi‘i cleric loyal to Iran, a state seeking to extend its regional hegemony and step into the shoes of the American occupation in Iraq.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet security services as saying that the first car bomb went off on al-Muzaffar Square. It was followed minutes later by a second car bomb explosion in the al-Habibiyah area. The third car bomb went off in the Jamilah Market near al-Habibiyah and a fourth blast took place in the al-Jawadir area near the former al-Qadisiyah Hospital. In a dispatch posted at 7:21pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the number of dead and wounded from the four car bomb explosions had risen to more than 367.
Dr. Mu’ayyad Husayn of al-Kindi Hospital said in a telephone interview that three hospitals had taken in victims of the quadruple bombing, adding that al-Kindi, al-Qadisiyah, and al-Jawadir were full of dead and wounded and that 90 percent of them were men, most of those members of the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia. The number of those killed was reported as 156, but the number was thought likely to rise.
US occupation troops were surrounding the hospitals following attacks by Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen on the doctors in the medical facilities. Earlier, in a dispatch posted at 6:38pm Makkah time Thursday evening, the correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the number of Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen killed in the quadruple car bomb attack was 140 men, according to puppet security service sources. They added that about six Iranians were also killed in the attack.
Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen bombard al-A‘zamiyah, killing 22 people, mostly women and children.
In a dispatch posted at 6:34pm Makkah time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Shi‘i sectarian gunmen had fired more than 30 mortar rounds into the predominantly Sunni al-A‘zamiyah section of Baghdad in the previous 15 minutes. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that two shells landed inside the courtyard of the Abu Hanifah Mosque in the district but caused no damage. Medical sources said that a number of local residents had been killed and wounded however.
At the time of reporting the ambulance sirens could be heard in the area as they raced the civilian victims to hospital. The barrage was apparently a sectarian retaliation by the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi for a series of car bomb attacks in the so-called Madinat as-Sadr district. In a bulletin posted at 9:32pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that continued Shi‘i sectarian attacks on the district of al-A‘zamiyah had left 22 people dead, most of them women and children.
Seven houses had been completely burned down when mortar shells fired by Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen blasted into them. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Shi‘i sectarian gunmen targeted the centuries-old Abu Hanifah an-Nu‘man Mosque in al-A‘zamiyah with seven mortar rounds and a Katyusha rocket, inflicting heavy damage on the historical cathedral mosque. The attack started a fire burning inside the mosque but it was successfully extinguished.
Resistance hits back at Shi‘i sectarians, blasting Jaysh al-Mahdi positions in al-Kazimiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 8:30pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at the time of reporting Iraqi Resistance mortar shells were blasting into the headquarters and concentrations of the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in the Baghdad district of al-Kazimiyah.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that 12 mortar rounds had struck the predominantly Shi‘i district of al-Kazimiyah in an apparent retaliation for a Shi‘i sectarian mortar attack on the Sunni district of al-A‘zamiyah. One of the shells aimed at al-Kazimiyah targeted the home of the puppet “National Security Adviser Muwaffaq arRabi‘i, who is also a member of the pro-American Shi ‘ sectarian “Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq” (SCIRI).
Pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen attack Sunnis in as-Salikh.
In a dispatch posted at 8:42pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting was under way at that time between Resistance fighters and Sunni residents on one side and pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen on the other in the as-Salikh area near the ash-Shahid Mosque in Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a large number of Shi‘i sectarian attackers had been killed in the battle that was still under way at the time of reporting. Five Sunnis had also died.
Resistance fighters armed populace inflict heavy losses on attacking Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen.
In a dispatch posted at 8:55pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that reports from eastern Baghdad’s districts of al-Hurriyah ath-Thalithah and al-Hurriyah ath-Thaniyah and the area around the tea warehouses were at that time the scene of violent battles between the Iraqi Resistance and local people on one side and attacking pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen on the other side.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that there were reports that the Shi‘i sectarian gunmen were sustaining heavy losses in the course of their attack, and the battle was still going on at the time of reporting.
Tribesmen kill local Jaysh al-Mahdi sectarian commander in Baghdad’s al-‘Amil district.
In a dispatch posted at 8:59pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the al-Janabiyin tribe in the al-‘Amil neighborhood of Baghdad had killed the commander of the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in their area. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that ‘Abd al-Husayn ‘Abd ‘Ali as-Sa‘idi was killed along with 10 of his followers in the tribal attack. The correspondent said that the Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen were pressing their attack in the area at the time of reporting but that large numbers of the sectarians had been killed.
Pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen bombard Sunni district of al-Ghazaliyah, killing woman and child.
In a bulletin posted at 9:15pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen in their stronghold district of ash-Shu‘lah unleashed a mortar barrage on the largely Sunni Baghdad area of al-Ghazaliyah. The al-Ghazaliyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local residents of the district as saying that 12 mortar rounds blasted into the area. Preliminary reports indicated that a mother and her infant daughter were killed in the sectarian barrage and five other people were wounded.
Puppet US-run “Iraqi Interior Ministry” troops join pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen in attacks on Sunni residential areas of Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 9:22pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that puppet US-controlled “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” joined the pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in their campaign of sectarian assaults on Sunni civilians in the US-occupied Iraqi capital on Thursday.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the puppet “Shock Troops” took off their uniforms and put on sportswear and joined the ranks of the Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen, reflecting how closely the Iranian-backed and US-controlled forces were cooperating in their war on the Sunni population.
The puppet “Shock Troops” joined Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen in attacks on Hayfa Street and Mahallat ash-Shaykh Ma‘ruf al-Karakhi. The correspondent reported that puppet “Interior Ministry” weapons and cars were being used by the Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen at the time of reporting.

In a bulletin posted at 10:01pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that violent battles were raging at that hour in numerous areas of Baghdad as pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarians were mounted massive assaults on Sunni residential neighborhoods around Hayfa Street, in the as-Salikh district, on Palestine Street, al-Fadl Street, and in the al-‘Amil neighborhood.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Jaysh al-Mahdi was continuing to pound the Sunni al-A‘zamiyah district with mortars but heavy losses were being inflicted on the pro-Iranian attackers by Iraqi Resistance fighters and local armed residents. With communications in the occupied Iraqi capital poor and in some cases cut off by the US-controlled puppet regime further details of the fighting at that hour were sketchy.
In a dispatch posted at 11:59pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that mortar and rocket fire had been exchanged a short while earlier between pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen in the al-‘Amil neighborhood of Baghdad and Iraqi Resistance fighters and armed residents of the al-Yarmuk neighborhood. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen fired three mortar rounds at the ad-Dakhiliyah area of al-Yarmuk, wounding seven civilians and killing two more.
Local defenders responded by lobbing seven mortar shells and a Katyusha rocket into the headquarters of the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia, which was set up in a former elementary school, and into a headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” a US-run force know for its strong Shi‘i sectarian mentality and for the abduction, torture, and murder of hundreds of Sunni Iraqis. No casualty information was immediately available.
Fifth Iraqi Resistance car bomb blasts pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian stronghold.
In a dispatch posted at 10:12pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US-installed puppet regime in Baghdad imposed a curfew throughout all of occupied Baghdad until further notice in the wake of the deaths and injuries of hundreds of pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen in a series of Resistance attacks Thursday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the situation in Baghdad was extremely confused and it was expected that violence would sweep the city in coming hours.
Meanwhile a fifth car bomb exploded just minutes before the time of reporting as 17 Iraqi Resistance mortar shells blasted into concentrations of pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian gunmen who work together with the US occupation regime in the Madinat Saddam area of Baghdad ミ a district nicknamed “Madinat as-Sadr” following the US occupation. The correspondent reported that more than 50 people had been killed in the latest attack.

In a dispatch posted at 10:22pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a medical source in al-Kindi Hospital had declared that the number of those killed in the violence that swept US-occupied Baghdad on Thursday had reached 500, following the deaths of those killed in pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi attacks on Sunni residential areas o the city.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a medical source in al-Kindi Hospital as saying that there were dead Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen in the district of as-Salikh, on Hayfa Street, and in al-‘Amil, but he said it was too dangerous for anyone to go into those areas to recover the bodies.
US forces deploy in Sunni areas late on Thursday night, following up on Shi‘i sectarian assaults.
In a dispatch posted at 11:53pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops had deployed in most Sunni areas of occupied Baghdad and, using loudspeakers, had declared a curfew in all parts of the city. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from the Baghdad district of al-‘Amiriyah that eyewitnesses were saying that US troops had ordered residents to stay inside their homes.
The Americans threatened to shoot at any armed group claiming that they would “protect” civilians against “terrorists” ミ the American terminology for the Iraqi Resistance. Meanwhile the skies over the occupied Iraqi capital were full of unmanned US spy planes, helicopters and fighter-bombers attempting to monitor the mortar barrages in the city.
Resistance bombards US base in southeastern Baghdad with mortars Wednesday night.
In a dispatch posted at 2:59pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired seven 82mm mortar rounds into the Ameican base in ar-Rustamiyah in southeastern Baghdad late on Wednesday night.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the base, located in the Diyala Bridge area of southeastern Baghdad, sent the Americans into a panic inside the base. The source said that US helicopters flew in over the base after the attack at low altitude and fired flares in an attempt to find the Resistnce fighters.
Resistance bomb wounds pro-American sectarian gunmen Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:57pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a car belonging to the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigade militia in Baghdad on Wednesday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in as-Sayyidiyah as saying that a bomb planted by the side of the main commercial thoroughfare in the area went off by a Badr Brigade car, heavily damaging the vehicle and severely wounding the two Badr Brigade gunmen inside. They were taken to hospital for treatment.
Resistance fires Katyusha rocket into US facility in ar-Ridwaniyah Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:18pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired Iraqi Resistance fighters bombarded the US headquarters in ar-Ridwaniyah, a southern suburb of Baghdad on Wednesday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a Katyusha rocket blasted directly and precisely into the US-occupied facility sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

Puppet “deputy Interior Minister” survives bomb attack in Balad.
In a dispatch posted at 4:52akkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, the deputy puppet “Interior Minister” survived an attempt on his life in the city of Balad, about 80km north of Baghdad.The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet security services as saying that Ahmad Husayn he deputy puppet “Interior Minister” was visiting Balad when a bomb exploded by his car, killing three of his companions and wounding two more of them.
The correspondent reported that the companions of the puppet “deputy Minister” requested that he drive an ordinary unmarked car rather than his black Mercedes so that they would not stand out when they entered Salah ad-Din. The car was completely destroyed by the explosion but the puppet official was unharmed.

Resistance launches attack on US headquarters in Samarra’ Thursday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 3:40pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces at that hour were attacking the Samarra’ Education Building, a facility that US troops have occupied and turned into one of their headquarters in the city, located about 120north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Resistance had fired S5K missiles and RPG-7 shoulder-launched rocket-propelled grenades at the facility and engaged in combat from behind the building. The correspondent reported that the attack was apparently aimed at storming the headquarters. Fighting was still under way at the time of reporting.

Pro-Iranian Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen in puppet regime vehicles launch attacks on Sunni populace near Ba‘qubah.
In a dispatch posted at 8:30pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting raged between Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen and Iraqi Sunnis and Resistance fighters in the al-Katun district west of Ba‘qubah following the attacks. More than 20 car loads of Shi‘i sectarian gunmen armed with light and medium weapons and mortars and driving cars belonging to the puppet “Interior Ministry.”
Three puppet policemen killed in Thursday morning Resistance attack on checkpoint in Ba‘qubah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:01pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked puppet policemen manning a checkpoint in western Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad on Thursday morning. The Ba‘qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance men armed with light and medium machine guns attacked the checkpoint in the al-Mafraq area of Ba‘qubah, killing three puppet policemen. They then withdrew.
Bodies of Shi‘i sectarian militiamen found executed in Ba‘qubah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:17pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a puppet police patrol found the bodies of five members of the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi sectarian militia in northeastern Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad.
The Ba‘qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the patrol found the five corpses in the al-Makhisah area of northeastern Ba‘qubah and transported them to the city hospital. The correspondent reported a source in the General Hospital source as saying that the five were shot to death execution style. In a dispatch posted at 1:40pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol near al-Latifiyah on Wednesday evening. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Latifiyah as saying that the bomb, which had been planted by the side of the highway near their city, completely destroyed a US Humve, killing at least two American troops and severely wounding two more.

Six puppet “Installation Guard” police killed in Resistance bombing Wednesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:02am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a group of puppet “Installation Guard” police in al-Iskandariyah, about 40km south of Baghdad on Wednesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted near the headquarters where pay is distributed to the puppet “Installation Guards” at the Hittin Public Facility near al-Iskandariyah went off by a group of puppet “Guard” recruits on Wednesday morning, killing six of them and wounding two more. Those two were later taken to hospital for treatment.

Resistance bomb targets puppet police in al-Mawsil.
In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Makkah time Thursday afernoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol in al-Mawsil in northern Iraq. The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that a bomb planted by the side of the road in the Wadi Hajar area to the southwest of the city blew up, clearly damaging a patrol vehicle and wounding three puppet policemen in varying degrees. They were hospitalized for treatment.
Puppet police commissioner killed in southeastern al-Mawsil on Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:56am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance men shot and killed a puppet police commissioner in the al-Mawsil area on Wednesday afternoon. The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that a group of Resistance men opened fire on ‘Ali Fadil Salih al-Jabburi, a puppet police commissioner in the Direcorate of Sumar. The attack took place near his home in southeastern al-Mawsil. The corpse was taken to the forensic medicine department to be turned over to next of kin.

In a dispatch posted at 10:57am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed a lieutenant colonel in the Iraqi puppet Installation Guard police in the northern city of al-Mawsil. In a separate incident a local puppet police commissioner was shot and killed by Resistance men on Wednesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that Resistance men shot and killed Lieutenant Colonel Yasin ‘Abd ‘Ali of the puppet “Installation Guard” police on Wednesday evening. The source said that the attack took place near the home of the lieutenant colonel in the al-Mishraq neighborhood of northeastern al-Mawsil when he was wearing civilian dress.
In a separate incident, Resistance fighters shot and killed puppet police commissioner Sarmad Mustafa ‘Abd ar-Rahman in the al-Karamah neighborhood in eastern al-Mawsil’s Industrial Zone on Wednesday evening. ‘Abd ar-Rahman was also wearing civilian clothes at the time. The puppet police source said that ‘Abd ar-Rahman was a member of the pro-American Kurdish separatist Kurdistani Union party and worked in the office of the puppet police commander for Ninwa Province.
