The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that further details were unavailable because it was impossible to approach the area where the fighting was under way. Explosions and exchanges of gunfire could be heard, however, all over the city.
Al-Qa’im.
Huge explosion shakes checkpoint on Syria-Iraq border Wednesday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 6:38pm Makkah time Wednesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a huge explosion had shaken the border complex in al-Qa’im near the frontier between Iraq and Syria.
The al-Qa’im correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a number of taxi drivers who fled the area after US occupation forces surrounded it and began mass arrests as saying that the explosion appeared to have come from a car bomb that went off on the Iraqi side of the border. The car apparently slammed into Gate A3, which was manned by US and Iraqi puppet troops and the powerful explosion left American and Iraqi puppet troops dead and wounded the witnesses said. No further details were initially available.
Al-Habbaniyah.
US occupation forces arrest some 50 people in raids on district in al-Habbaniyah.
In a dispatch posted at 1:39pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces carried out a campaign of raids and searches in al-Habbaniyah, about 70km west of Baghdad on Wednesday morning, arresting dozens of local people.
The al-Habbaniyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a force of US troops and their Iraqi puppet army allies stormed into the “C.C.” section of the city and began raiding and searching houses. They arrested about 50 local residents but gave no explanation for the raids. The C.C. area is experiencing considerable hardship at the present time because the US forces have ordered all electricity and water cut off in the district for 22 hours each day.
Al-Hadithah.
Ten American troops reported killed as fighting rages in five neighborhoods of al-Hadithah Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:12pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that violent clashes had been raging between the Iraqi Resistance and US troops backed up by their Iraqi puppet army allies in the city of al-Hadithah, 236km northwest of Baghdad since dawn on Wednesday. The al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fighting, described as the most violent since US troops entered the city, had broken out in five different neighborhoods in al-Hadithah, despite the fact that the city remains under US curfew orders.
Large numbers of Resistance fighters could be seen going around the various neighborhoods heavily armed with light and medium weaponry. Eyewitnesses reported that more than 10 US troops had been killed and five more of them wounded. In addition two Iraqi puppet soldiers were killed by Iraqi Resistance sharpshooters in the middle of the city after the fighting broke out. Combat was still going on at the time of reporting.
Intensity of Resistance attacks increases following US actions against civilian population of al-Hadithah.
Then in a dispatch posted at 2:59pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that in the previous hours, Resistance forces had destroyed four American vehicles from Tuesday night until noon local time Wednesday. The al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi Resistance as saying that one US Humvee had been destroyed in the north central area of al-Hadithah on Tuesday evening, killing three US troops and wounding more of them.
Then a second Humvee was destroyed in the area of al-Haqlaniyah late on Tuesday night when a Resistance bomb exploded by the side of al-Hawwaf Street, killing the soldiers who were aboard it. On Wednesday morning the Resistance destroyed a third US Humvee in the Bani Dahir area and one hour later a fourth Humvee was blown up in the al-Khafjiyah area of eastern al-Hadithah, killing another four US troops, the source said.
The source said that one detachment of the Resistance had carried out all four of those attacks and he noted that other Resistance organizations were carrying out similar attacks elsewhere in the city. The Resistance source confirmed that the city was still under a tight blockade on all sides. The Americans cut off electricity from the local hospital as a kind of punishment for the people, killing five children amidst international silence.
Three pregnant women died because the occupation forces prevented them from getting to the hospital. At the present time, water and electricity have been shut off in the whole city and food supplies are also blocked by the American forces who have imposed a curfew in an attempt to put popular pressure on the Resistance, but the Resistance attacks have only become more ferocious.
Al-Khalidiyah.
Resistance bomb leaves two US troops reported dead near al-Khalidiyah Wednesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:51am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol in a village near al-Khalidiyah, about 85km west of Baghdad on Wednesday morning. The al-Khalidiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses on the scene as saying that the bomb, which had been planted in a used car tire and placed by the side of the road to as-Saddah blew up by a US patrol vehicle as it drove past.
The explosion completely destroyed the vehicle, killing two US soldiers and wounding others. Afterwards, US troops closed off the area, evacuated the wounded and hauled the wrecked vehicle away. The closing of roads in the al-Khalidiyah caused considerable hardship for local people since it meant that they were cut off from the nearby large city of ar-Ramadi.

Resistance fighters ambush puppet “National Guard” patrol near al-Karmah Tuesday evening, killing eight puppet soldiers.
In a dispatch posted at 11:12am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces ambushed a patrol of puppet “Iraqi National Guards” in the area of al-Karmah, near al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Tuesday evening.
The al-Karmah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the ash-Shihabi nearby as saying that Resistance men armed with light and medium weapons launched a violent attack on the patrol as it was coming back to the former food warehouse that the puppet “Guard” has turned into its local base.
The witnesses said that the Resistance fighters struck the majority of the patrol, completely burning up three Humvees and killing at least eight puppet “Guards” and wounding all the rest of the men on the patrol. Three Resistance fighters were also killed in the engagement. The puppet “National Guards” called in reinforcements from the nearby camp and thereby saved some of their troops.

Then an explosives-laden car that had been parked by the side of the road in the al-Jizani neighborhood of north Ba‘qubah blew up when Jawwad’s motorcade drove past. The explosion destroyed one of the cars in the motorcade, killing or wounding four of his bodyguards. The attack kept the motorcade halted for nearly an hour.
Resistance fighters then attacked the group of cars using RPG-7 rocket-propelled grenades, killing two of the puppet “Governor’s” bodyguards.
After the three attacks, the source said, the puppet “Governor” returned home under a heavy guard of Iraqi puppet troops covered from the air by American helicopter gunships. The puppet “Governor’s” house is located in the al-Jizaniyah area outside the center of Ba‘qubah. The correspondent noted that the mainstream wire services avoided linking the three attacks on Wednesday to the movements of the puppet “Governor,” reporting them as simply three chance attacks on Iraqi puppet security forces.
