Resistance bomb leaves US soldier reported dead in al-Qa’im.
In a dispatch posted at 5:27pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol based in the city of al-Qa’im in western Iraq near the Syrian border.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a worker at the al-Qa’im electric power plant that is located near one of the American-occupied bases as saying that the US patrol was on its way back to its camp from some military activity near their staion when a bomb that the Resistance had planted by the side of the road exploded.
The witness said that the blast totally destroyed an American Humvee, killing at least one US soldier and wounding two more of them.
Al-Hadithah.
US soldier reported killed by Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter in al-Hadithah on Monday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:18am GMT time Tuesday morning, Quds Press reported that one American soldier and three Iraqi puppet troops were killed in two Resistance attacks in the locked-down city of al-Hadithah, about 236km northwest of Baghdad.
Quds Press reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier in al-Hadithah on Monday afternoon. Eyewitnesses said that a US patrol was taking a rest from the campaign of raids, searches, and arrests that the Americans were carrying out on Sunday when one of the US troops was struck and killed by an Iraqi sharpshooter’s bullet.
The correspondent for Quds Press reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol in the middle of al-Hadithah. The blast killed three of the puppet soldiers and wounded two more of them. In response the puppet troops opened fire indiscriminately at nearby houses but failed to kill or wound any innocent people since everyone was holed up inside his home due to the strict curfew imposed by the Americans on Monday.
Ar-Ramadi.
US helicopter hit by ground fire over ar-Ramadi Tuesday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 1:43pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance gunfire had struck a US Apache helicopter gun ship over the as-Sajariyah area of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the helicopter had been hovering at low altitude over as-Sajariyah near the potato storehouse when it was struck by machine gun fire.
The witnesses said that they could see smoke coming from the aircraft but it did not crash or make a forced landing. The nature and extent of casualties and damage were unknown.
Hit.
Resistance mortars pound US troops in their base in Hit during the night; Tuesday morning Americans impose curfew begin mass raids and searches in city.
In a dispatch posted at 11:37am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops imposed a curfew beginning at dawn on the city of Hit, about 165km northwest of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Hit awoke Tuesday to the deployment of large numbers of American troops in every neighborhood of the city. The Americans used loudspeakers to tell local people not to leave their homes and then proceeded to launch a massive campaign of raids and searches.
The curfew was imposed after US troops, who are based in cement silos in the Industrial Zone of Hit, came under violent rocket attack during the night. Explosions shook the area as a result of that Resistance attack, but no information on the nature or extent of US casualties was available.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee in an-Nazal neighborhood of al-Fallujah Tuesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:41pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in al-Fallujah on Tuesday morning, destroying an American vehicle and inflicting casualties.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of an-Nasr Street near the al-Firdaws Mosque in the an-Nazal neighborhood went off by a passing American patrol. The explosion totally burned one US Humvee.
Owners of shops in the area who witnessed the attack said that the blast caused casualties among the Americans but could give no exact account of their extent or nature.
Resistance blasts joint US-Iraqi puppet army command post in al-Fallujah early Tuesday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 2:25pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance forces fired four heavy 120mm mortar rounds into a checkpoint jointly manned by US and Iraqi puppet troops at the southern entrance to the city of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the command post for the ash-Shuhada’ and an-Nu‘aymiyah neighborhoods of al-Fallujah was hit by the mortar shells, which set off explosions and sent plumes of smoke rising over the area. No further information on the nature or extent of casualties was initially available.
Monday night bomb destroys puppet “Iraqi National Guard” Humvee in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 10:46am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” on as-Sadd Street in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad at 7pm local time Monday night.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a Resistance bomb that had been planted by the side of the street went off by the patrol as it was on its way back to its base in the Industrial Zone. The explosion totally destroyed a puppet “Guard” Humvee. Residents of the houses on the street where the attack took place said that the blast had killed all those aboard the Humvee. Puppet forces immediately raided the houses along the street, wrecking their contents and insulting the local residents. No one was arrested however, suggesting that the puppet guards on the Humvee may only have been wounded.

Bombs found in “Green Zone.”
In a dispatch posted at 9:08pm Baghdad time Tuesday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq reported on its website that the Iraqi puppet police announced on Tuesday that it had found bombs at a parking lot inside the top-security area around the Republican Palace in Baghdad, dubbed the “Green Zone” by US occupation troops.
A source in the puppet police said that the bombs were found near a car parked in the private parking lot reserved for puppet regime officials. After making the discovery, the puppet police proceeded to disarm the devices. During the time when the puppet police were working on the bombs, reporters and other workers in the Convention Center building were prevented from entering or leaving.
US troops search home of puppet chief of Iraqi Olympic Committee Tuesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 5:07pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops raided the home of Ahmad ‘Abd al-Gafur al-Hajjiyah as-Samarra’i, the chairman of the Iraqi puppet “Olympic Committee” who was abducted more than four months ago. The US troops searched the house but gave no explanation for their action, which took place at dawn Tuesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the Americans did a meticulous search of the house, but gave no further details and did not say whether the US troops arrested any family members.
As-Samarra’i, the man appointed by the puppet regime in the place of ‘Uday Saddam Husayn (who was killed by US occupation troops on 22 July 2003) was abducted along with the puppet General Secretary of the Olympic Committee, ‘Amir Jabbar and two members of the puppet “Executive Committee” on 15 July 2006 by an unknown armed group who stormed the headquarters of the organization in the Oil Cultural Center during a plenary meeting of the Olympic Committee board. The fate of as-Samarra’i, Jabbar, and the others remains unknown.
Mortar shells hit predominantly Sunni area in Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 11:29am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier mortar shells crashed into the predominantly Sunni al-A‘zamiyah area of Baghdad.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses on al-Munazzamah Street in al-A‘zamiyah as saying that the barrage damaged a number of commercial shops but caused no loss of life.
The area comes under such bombardments from time to time by Shi‘i sectarian militias that have set up bases in nearby neighborhoods such as al-Jihad and al-‘Amil.
Resistance mortar shells blast puppet “Health Ministry” building Tuesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 10:49am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three 82mm mortar rounds into the puppet “Ministry of Health” building in occupied Baghdad at 8am local time Tuesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the attack had inflicted no casualties but did damage the building somewhat.

Al-Ishaqi.
Puppet police officials shot to death in al-Ishaqi area Monday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 11:35am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed three puppet police members in the al-Ishaqi area, about 85km north of Baghdad on Monday evening.
The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that Resistance fighters shot and killed Lieutenant Colonel ‘Abd al-Hamid Mushrif, the puppet police chief in the village of al-Farhanah near al-Islahqi. Also killed were two of his brothers who also worked for the puppet police in the village.
The attackers drove two civilian cars and ambushed the three puppet police officials in an area where there are many gardens and groves, spraying them with a hail of bullets. The three died instantly and the Resistance attackers left the scene.

Al-Mahmudiyah.
Resistance missile blasts US base in al-Mahmudiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 3:32pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a surface-to-surface missile into the US base in al-Mahmudiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a violent explosion shook the US base, which has been set up in a former meat packing plant to the north of the city. The witnesses said that the blast sent dense smoke billowing into the sky as the eastern part of the base caught fire. Sirens wailed inside the US-occupied facility and swarms of helicopters flew in over the base.
Al-Hillah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:04pm Makkah time midday Tuesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that unknown armed men shot and killed a professor in the Babil University College of Medicine northeast of al-Hillah, which is about 100km south of Baghdad, on Monday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that unknown armed men opened fire on Dr. ‘Ali Fallih al-Ghariri as he came out of his house in the Jablah ミ al-‘Aziziyah ミ al-Hillah junction area about 50km northeast of al-Hillah. Dr. al-Ghariri was on his way to the al-Hillah Surgical Hospital where he worked at the time of the shooting. The assassins fled in their car after killing the doctor.
The killing came amidst a wave of assassinations of Iraqi doctors, scientists, and academics. Such attacks have frequently been blamed by some on the Zionist secret service, the Mossad.
Hundreds of Iraqi intellectuals have been mysteriously shot and killed since the US invasion of Iraq in the spring of 2003. On 14 June 2005, the Palestine Information Center published a report maintaining that the Mossad had killed 530 Iraqi scientists and professors in the previous seven months.
The report stated that “Israeli” Mossad agents and commandos had been operating in occupied Iraq for more than a year, with the specific task of targeting Iraqi scientists and intellectuals. The Zionists reportedly launched the campaign after intensive efforts by American occupation authorities to get Iraqi scientists to defect to the US failed. Resistance bombards US base in al-Musayyib Monday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 11:19am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds into the US base in the al-Musayyib area, about 70km south of Baghdad on Monday evening.
The al-Hillah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the resistance shells targeted the US base known as “Kalsu” in the al-Musayyib area. Local witnesses said that they could hear explosions going off inside the base, after which smoke rose into the sky.

Kirkuk.
Resistance fighters kill puppet policeman southwest of Kirkuk.
In a dispatch posted at 5:30pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed a puppet policeman southwest Kirkuk.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that a group of armed fighters opened fire with machine guns on Khalid Bunyan a puppet policeman based in the ash-Sha‘b district station 65km southwest of Kirkuk. The source said that Bunyan was killed instantly.
University administrator gunned down in Kirkuk Monday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 11:19am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that unknown armed men shot and killed a Director in the College of Education in Kirkuk University in northern Iraq on Monday evening.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that unknown armed men in a car attacked Husayn Qadir ‘Umar, the Administrative Director of the College of Education at Kirkuk University in the area around the road to Bahdad in the middle of the city. Another employee was wounded in the attack and taken to hospital for treatment. ‘Umar’s body was taken to the forensic medicine center.

Al-Mawsil.
Puppet police lieutenant colonel killed in al-Mawsil Tuesday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 3:44pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed a high-ranking officer in the Iraqi puppet police in southeastern al-Mawsil on Tuesday afternoon.
The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that Resistance men killed Lieutenant Colonel Salah Muhammad Mahmud al-Jabburi of he Accounting Directorate of the Filastin Neighborhood puppet police in Tall ‘Afar, at 2pm local time Tuesday afternoon.
The source said that al-Jabburi was in civilian dress and driving his private car when he was attacked. The attackers opened fire on him and then left the scene.
Resistance fighters ambush puppet police in al-Mawsil Tuesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:33pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a puppet police patrol in the northern city of al-Mawsil on Tuesday morning.
The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that Resistance men opened fire with light arms on the patrol of puppet policemen headquartered in the Abu Tamam station in the al-Kafa’at neighborhood on the east side of al-Mawsil. Two of the puppet policemen were wounded in varying degrees of severity and were taken to hospital for treatment. The Resistance fighters left the scene after the attack.

In a dispatch posted at 12:56pm Baghdad time Tuesday afternoon, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq reported on its website that two barrages on Monday night and Tuesday morning targeted British occupation headquarters in the southern city of al-Basrah.
A British spokesman said that three mortar shells landed in the British occupation headquarters in the ash-Shu‘aybah section of al-Basrah on Monday evening. Then on Tuesday morning two Katyusha rockets slammed into the Shatt al-‘Arab Hotel in al-Basrah, a facility that the British have occupied and turned into their headquarters.
The British spokesman claimed that the bombardments inflicted no casualties on the British occupation troops.
