Resistance barrage sets off powerful explosion in US base in al-Fallujah Thursday afternoon.
A powerful explosion shook the US as-Simak base in the middle of the city of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Thursday after Resistance shells blasted into the facility.
In a Thursday dispatch, Quds Press reported that Resistance forces fired a mortar barrage at the US base at 2pm local time Thursday afternoon, sending clouds of black smoke billowing up over the facility. A powerful explosion then shook the base.
US troops who had been deployed in the area rushed to close the main street surrounding the base but no information on the nature or extent of casualties or damage was available, nor did the US military make any initial report on the attack.
Al-Habbaniyah.
Resistance fighters battle US occupation troops in al-Habbaniyah in predawn hours of Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:26pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fought a fierce battle with US occupation troops in the al-Habbaniyah area, about 70km west of Baghdad at 1am local time Thursday morning.
The al-Habbaniyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local residents who witnessed the fighting near their homes as saying that it lasted two hours following the shelling of the US base. No further details on losses on either side were available because a curfew had been in force since 8pm the night before.
Ar-Ramadi.
US carries out mass raids, arresting dozens in ar-Ramadi Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:42am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces and their Iraqi puppet army allies at the time of reporting were carrying out a campaign of mass raids and arrests in the city of ar-Ramadi, the capital of al-Anbar Province, about 110km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the campaign was focused on the as-Sufiyah area of ar-Ramadi. The correspondent reported local sources as saying that American troops were raiding houses and shops and were searching groves, yards, and farms, and that so far they had arrested dozens of local residents. At the time of reporting the raids and arrests were still underway.
Resistance destroys US tank in ar-Ramadi Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:15pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters destroyed a US tank in the middle of ar-Ramadi on Wednesday.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a Resistance bomb exploded under a US tank and then Resistance fighters fired a guided rocket into the vehicle in an attack that took place near the ash-Shahid School at noon Wednesday. The attack was the first Resistance response to the killing of 37 local civilians in a ferocious American bombardment on Monday night and Thursday morning that targeted the residential ad-Dubbat neighborhood in the city.

Resistance bomb targets puppet army commander in Abu Ghurayb Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:39pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by the motorcade of Colonel ‘Ali al-Jasim, a commander of a regiment in the Iraqi puppet army in the area of Abu Ghurayb, about 30km west of Baghdad on Wednesday evening
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the bomb damaged one of the cars in the motorcade and wounded two of the Colonel’s body guards, but al-Jasim himself survived the attack.

Officer in guard of former puppet “Prime Minister” Iyyad ‘Allawi gunned down by armed men in western Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 1:51pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that unknown armed men attacked and killed a member of the guards protecting the former puppet “Iraqi Prime Minister” Iyyad ‘Allawi in western Baghdad.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a group of armed men opened fire on the car carrying ‘Ammar Midhat, an officer in the guard of Iyyad ‘Allawi while he was on his way to work in the al-Ghazaliyah area of western Baghdad.
Local witnesses believed that Shi‘i sectarian militia were behind the killing, since ‘Allawi has been making verbal attacks on the current US-installed puppet regime and on the sectarian militias that form the backbone of the pro-American security forces.

Bayji.
Iraqi doctor accuses US troops of murdering two Iraqi brothers captured from their Bayji home on Tuesday.
In a dispatch posted at 3:48pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops on Thursday morning apparently killed two Iraqi brothers whom they had arrested from their home near Bayji, about 200km north of Baghdad, late on Tuesday night.
In a Thursday dispatch, Quds Press quoted Dr. Ahmad al-‘Ujayli of Bayji General Hospital as saying that he extracted a bullet from the back of one of the victims that proved to be American.
The Bayji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a doctor in the city hospital as saying that the puppet police found the bodies of two brothers, ‘Umar Nasir al-Fadli and Qutaybah Nasir al-Fadli. Both had been shot to death and their bodies dumped one kilometer from the US base. Mafkarat al-Islam said that the doctor had extracted a bullet that had lodged in the body of ‘Umar and found it to be American.
Quds Press reported that the two young victims had been students at al-Mawsil University and had been arrested from their home in az-Zanjil on Tuesday, 14 November. Dr. al-‘Ujayli accused the Americans of having killed the two youths after they could find no proof for their charges against them.

US patrol wounds Iraqi motorist in Tikrit midday Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:59pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an American patrol opened fire at a car carrying a civilian Iraqi in the city of Tikrit, about 180km north of Baghdad at midday Wednesday.
The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a local resident of Tikrit was severely wounded when a US patrol opened fire on his car in the al-Qadisiyah neighborhood area of northern Tikrit when the car came too close to the Americans. The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition after the US attack.

US troops kill youths driving car behind their patrol Wednesday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 12:27pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a US occupation patrol suddenly opened fire on a car that had been driving behind their patrol on the way to the international highway in the area of ad-Dujayl, about 55km north of Baghdad, killing two youths in the car.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the two young men were natives of the al-Bu Hishmah village near the city of ad-Dujayl.

Ba‘qubah.
US, Iraqi puppet army troops arrest 21 residents of village near Ba‘qubah Thursday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:46pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a joint US and Iraqi puppet army force carried out mass raids, searches, and arrests in western Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad at dawn on Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a joint US-Iraqi puppet army force carried out the raids in the al-Hashimiyah area about 15km west of Ba‘qubah. The forces arrested 21 local residents and then took them off to an Iraqi puppet army headquarters in the city.
US helicopter gun ships attack residential area in al-Katun near Ba‘qubah Wednesday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 12:22pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US helicopter gun ships struck civilian homes near Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad on Wednesday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US helicopters attacked a number of local homes in the al-Katun area, 30km north of Ba‘qubah on Wednesday evening, completely destroying two houses and damaging a number of others. The witnesses added that the extent of casualties in the US air strikes was still uncertain.

Two US troops reported killed in Resistance Wednesday night.
In a dispatch posted at pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces attacked Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a US patrol near the town of al-Latifiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad, on Wednesday night.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported homeowners who witnessed the attack as saying that about six or eight Resistance fighters armed with light and medium machine guns attacked a US patrol and inflicted heavy damage on one of their vehicles and killed at least two American troops.
The Resistance men then slipped away, leaving the Americans in a state of confused hysterics.

Resistance kills puppet policeman in al-Mawsil Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:05pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed a puppet policeman as he came out of his home in the az-Zuhur neighborhood of northeastern al-Mawsil on Wednesday afternoon.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that Resistance men fired machine guns at Nashwan Harb of the puppet Provincial Government building police, killing him instantly.
Resistance bomb blasts puppet army patrol in al-Mawsil Wednesday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 12:41pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol in southeastern al-Mawsil Wednesday afternoon.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that a bomb planted by the side of the road in the al-Wahdah area of southeast al-Mawsil blew up by a passing puppet army patrol, moderately damaging one patrol vehicle and wounding one puppet soldier who was later taken to the city’s general hospital for treatment.

British checkpoint attacked in al-Basrah Thursday.
Unknown armed men assaulted a British checkpoint on at-Tayran Square in the southern Iraqi city of al-Basrah on Thursday Quds Press reported Thursday.
British troops usually conduct detailed searches of passing cars at the checkpoint, but on Thursday fighters opened fire on the British troops , wounding several of them, and then withdrawing. British forces immediately closed off the area. British military ambulances were seen transporting wounded from the scene.
Earlier the British base in a former Presidential Palace in al-Basrah came under bombardment during Wednesday-Thursday night according to a British spokesman who claimed that no damage or casualties were caused by the attack.
