US bombardments of ar-Ramadi kill 30 civilians, wound 20 Monday night, Tuesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 11:25am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation aircraft bombed and rocketed residential areas of the city of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad, on Monday night and Tuesday morning.

The correspondent for Quds Press in ar-Ramadi reported that the Americans used heavy artillery and tanks to bombard various civilian residential areas of ar-Ramadi, beginning on Monday night and going on to the early hours of Tuesday. The correspondent wrote that the American bombardment targeted several residential areas of ar-Ramadi but hit the ad-Dubbat neighborhood with particular ferocity. The correspondent wrote that many houses were completely flattened by the American attack, collapsing the buildings over the heads of their residents, confined inside by the American-imposed nighttime curfew.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that US warplanes struck the ad-Dubbat neighborhood of central ar-Ramadi late Monday night and again on Tuesday morning. Bombardment destroyed about 20 homes. A source in ar-Ramadi Hospital told Mafkarat al-Islam that his facility had so far received the bodies of 30 people killed in the American attack and 17 more wounded, but that the number was likely to rise because search and rescue operations were still underway and bodies were still being dug out of the rubble at that hour.

That account was confirmed by Quds Press, which quoted Dr. Kamal al-‘Ani of ar-Ramadi Hospital as saying that 30 bodies had been brought in and about 20 more had been admitted to the hospital with injuries, some of them sever. Dr. al-‘Ani said that the hospital is suffering from a severe shortage of medicine and medical supplies because supplies have not arrived from Baghdad. He appealed to hospitals in nearby towns and cities to rush any aid they could provide to his facility.

Quds Press quoted rescue workers as saying that they were still struggling to pull bodies of victims from the rubble of the houses razed by the American attack. Ahmad ash-Shamari told Quds Press that Civil Defense units and local residents were trying to get to victims still believed buried in the ruins. Ash-Shamari said that the heavy equipment that would be able to facilitate their work would not come into the city because operators feared further American attacks.

Mafkarat al-Islam noted that in the past two days, US forces had been threatening that they were going to strike uninhabited houses, which they said Resistance fighters could use as hideouts. The American attack, however, targeted houses that were still occupied by local families. Quds Press noted that Resistance fire had struck one US helicopter early on Monday evening but that otherwise there had been no clashes between US occupation troops and Resistance fighters in the area attacked by the Americans.

Al-Fallujah.

US Marines throw families out of five homes in al-Fallujah, turning the houses into the center of a new camp for themselves.

In a dispatch posted at 12:57pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops forcibly seized and took over a number of residential houses in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Tuesday, turning them into a camp for themselves. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Americans took threw the families living in five homes out in the street in eastern al-Fallujah, took over the houses and turned them into an American camp.

The witnesses said that the residents of the houses, located on al-Jaysh ash-Sha‘bi Street in the ad-Dubbat ath-Thani neighborhood, were forced to get out after American military vehicles surrounded the area and set up earthen roadblocks and after US Marines went in and threw them out. The witnesses said that a large section of the main street in al-Fallujah was closed to vehicular traffic after the Americans created their new base around the commandeered houses. US snipers have taken up positions on the roofs of the tall buildings along the street to keep it closed.

Puppet policeman abducted by Iraqi Resistance on Monday found dead.

In a dispatch posted at 12:48pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet police in al-Fallujah found the body of a puppet policeman who had been abducted on Monday. The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that a puppet police patrol found the body of one of its men dumped on the road in the al-Ba‘th neighborhood in the middle of the city. He had been shot in the head, execution style. The puppet policeman had been abducted by Resistance men on Monday, the puppet police source said.

Resistance fighters assault US camp in al-Karmah Monday afternoon sparking hour-long battle with Americans.

In a dispatch posted at 12:38pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance men assaulted a US base in the al-Karmah area, about 15km east of al-Fallujah, sparking a fierce battle with American occupation troops.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance men fired rocket-propelled grenades at the US base at 2pm local time Monday afternoon. A battle ensued that lasted for more than an hour in which the two sides exchanged small arms fire. The eyewitnesses reported that the Resistance men withdrew successfully afterwards. No information on the nature or extent of US casualties was available.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet army facility in ar-Rayhanah early Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 1:51pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds into the headquarters jointly occupied by US troops and Iraqi puppet forces west of ar-Rayhanah in the ‘Anah area, about 300km northwest of Baghdad.

The ar-Rayhanah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance fired the mortar barrage at the joint US-Iraqi puppet facility in the Baytarat a-Rayhanah area early on Tuesday morning, setting off explosions inside the building and sending smoke billowing into the sky.

US police dog attacks Iraqi resident near Hit, killing him.

In a dispatch posted at 12:47pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops set one of their police dogs on an Iraqi resident of the city of Hit on Monday, killing the man instantly.

The Hit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported relatives of the victim as saying that the police dog was with a group of American troops on a foot patrol. The dog attacked Ibrahim Khayri al-Imam in front of his house and inflicted several serious injuries upon various parts of his body, killing him. Witnesses said that the home of the victim was located in the al-Kabaniyah Gardens area, a farming area to the west of the city. Al-Imam was 40 years old, married, and the father of a baby girl.

US troops carry out mass arrests in rural area near Hit.

In a dispatch posted at 11:33am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces carried out mass raids, searches, and arrests in the city of Hit, about 165km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US forces targeted the rural area Banan, about 3km east of the center of Hit for their raids. They arrested more than 30 local people without explanation in the course of the sweep. At the time of reporting, the Americans had sealed off the al-Jam‘iyah area east of Hit, again without explanation. Resistance attacks on the American occupation troops and their Iraqi puppet army allies have seen an increase in recent days.

Mysterious bombings target Shi‘i sections of Baghdad as effort to spark sectarian warfare continues.

In a dispatch posted at 8:08pm Baghdad time Tuesday night, the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq reported a source in the puppet “Interior Ministry” as announcing Tuesday evening that a car bomb had exploded in the Madinat ath-Thawrah section of eastern Baghdad ﾐ a district nicknamed “Madinat as-Sadr” since the American occupation of Iraq. The source said that seven people had been killed in the in the explosion including a woman and child and that 27 others had been wounded.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Association of Muslim Scholars reported, 21 people were killed and another 25 wounded when a car bomb exploded near the ash-Shurjah market in the middle of Baghdad. In a dispatch posted at 8:41pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a car that had been packed with explosives and parked in the “Madinat as-Sadr” area had exploded and that 15 people were believed to have been killed by preliminary reports.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported medical sources in al-Kindi General Hospital as saying that 88 people had been killed or wounded in two bomb explosions that shook the “Madinat al-Sadr” area, a stronghold of the pro-Iranian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia, loyal to Shi‘i cleric Muqtada as-Sadr. A hospital source said that two explosions in close succession rocked the “Madinat as-Sadr” area, one of them from a car bomb, the other from an explosives-packed motorcycle. The source said that the bombs went off in two popular markets in the area known to be a stronghold of the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia.

Resistance bomb targets puppet police in Baghdad Tuesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12:16pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by Iraqi puppet policemen in western Baghdad on Tuesday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road went off by a puppet police patrol in the al-Ghazaliyah neighborhood of western Baghdad. The explosion inflicted heavy damage on one of their patrol cars and killed one of the puppet policemen and wounded two more. The wounded men were later taken to hospital for treatment.

Three US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing north of Baghdad on Monday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:44am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by a US column in the northern Baghdad suburb of at-Taji on Monday.

The at-Taji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that two bombs that had been planted by the side of the strategic road running north from Baghdad went off by a passing American column, completely destroying two Humvees and killing three US troops.

Four more American soldiers were wounded in the blast, the injuries of one of them being described as “mortal.” The eyewitnesses said that US forces opened fire on the area after the attack, a reflection of their frustration over the loss of American troops’ lives.

Resistance bomb reportedly kills US soldier on road near Tikrit.

In a dispatch posted at 12:17pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the road between Tikrit, about 120km north of Baghdad and, al-‘Azim to the southeast. The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb, which had been planted by the side of the road, went off by a US patrol, completely disabling a Humvee. At least one of the Americans was killed and two more wounded, the witnesses said.

Resistance bomb flips US armored vehicle over in at-Tarimiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:12pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column near the city of at-Tarimiyah, about 30km north of Baghdad.

The at-Tarimiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road blew up by a passing American column, directly hitting a US armored vehicle and flipping it over by the side of the road. Witnesses were unsure as to the nature or extent of US casualties, but said that they saw the American troops pulling corpses of US soldiers out of the vehicle after the blast.

Resistance rockets blast headquarters of puppet “Iraqi National Guard” in al-Mada’in Monday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 1:34pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three S5K rockets into the headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” in the town of al-Mada’in, about 25km southeast of Baghdad on Monday evening. The al-Mada’in correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saing that the headquarters took direct hits from the rockets, which set off violent explosions that shook the building and sent plumes of dense smoke rising into the sky from inside.

Al-Latifiyah.

US continues its “Operation High Tide” raids and arrests of residents south of Baghdad on Tuesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12:55pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces arrested 25 residents of various areas south of Baghdad late on Monday night and early Tuesday morning in the course of their so-called “Operation High Tide” targeting innocent residents of the predominantly Sunni towns and villages just south of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops and their Babil Province puppet police allies arrested 25 people in al-Latifiyah and the al-Buhayrat area about 30km south of Baghdad. The correspondent reported that the American raiders were backed up by forces that landed in the al-Latifiyah and al-Buhayrat areas and as far as the Shishbar river in the vicinity of al-Mahmudiyah.

Resistance fighters kill three puppet security men in Monday attack in al-Mawsil.

In a dispatch posted at 12:28pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed three puppet security men in the northern city of al-Mawsil on Monday.The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that a group of Resistance men opened fire on a car in which the three puppet “Installation Protection Policemen” were driving in the Industrial Zone of Wadi ‘Akkab to the west of al-Mawsil. The three died instantly.
