US unexpectedly lifts siege of ar-Ramadi Sunday afternoon.
In a bulletin posted at 3:59pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces had lifted their blockade on the city of ar-Ramadi, imposed the night before. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Americans opened two main bridges in the city, the al-Warrar Bridge and the al-Jazirah Bridge. The US forces also lifted the curfew from the western at-Ta’mim neighborhood of the city in what came as a surprise to local residents, who were expecting a longer and more exacting siege after large numbers of US forces surrounded and locked down the city the night before.
US troops bulldoze homes of Resistance fighters in ar-Ramadi, copying Zionist practice in Palestine.
In a dispatch posted at 2:10pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops bulldozed two houses in the city of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad on Sunday morning, copying the practice of Zionist occupation forces in Palestine who bulldoze the homes of Resistance fighters. The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops bulldozed two houses in the ad-Dubbat neighborhood of ar-Ramadi. One of the two belonged to a Resistand fida’i fighter who blew himself up amidst a group of Marines in July this year, killing and wounding a large number of them.

US soldier reported killed in Resistance ambush near al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:50pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces armed with light and medium weapons attacked a US patrol near al-Fallujah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the village of al-Fallahat as saying that the Resistance men attacked the American patrol when they all got out of their vehicles and set off walking in an area of agricultural groves near the train station in the village, about 20km west of al-Fallujah. Villagers said that the area afforded good cover for the Resistance men.
The witnesses said that five armed Resistance men got out of two cars, an Opel sedan and a Daewoo Prince and opened fire on the Americans. One of the US soldiers was killed immediately and another wounded. The Resistance men then withdrew from the area successfully. After the attack, American troops surrounded the area and started a search for the Resistance men but found no sign of them.
Resistance bomb targets US patrol in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:30pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by US forces in the middle of al-Fallujah. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb planted by the side of the road in the ad-Dubbat neighborhood of the city went off by a patrol of several American Humvees. The explosion went off with a loud boom and disabled one of the US vehicles, wounding the American troops inside. No details on the nature or extent of casualties were available.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that a bomb that had been planted on the road to the ash-Shuhada’ neighborhood in western a-Fallujah went off by a passing American patrol, disabling a Humvee and wounding all the troops who were inside. No more detailed information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.
Resistance fighters assault US headquarters in al-Fallujah Saturday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Iraqi Resistance on Saturday continued the attacks it has been launching for two straight days on US forces in al-Fallujah. Resistance men assaulted the US as-Simak headquarters in the city firing rocket-propelled grenades and light arms against the facility in downtown al-Fallujah. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the rockets hit the building in the compound, but US forces closed the main street in the area after the attack, making it impossible to learn any details regarding the nature or extent of casualties.
Resistance bomb blasts puppet “National Guard” patrol northeast of al-Fallujah Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Makkah time Sunday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol northeast of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad, on Saturday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of a road blew up as a patrol of Iraqi puppet “National Guards” was driving through the ash-Shihabi area, 15km northeast of al-Fallujah. The blast set one of the patrol vehicles on fire. No details on the nature or extent of casualties were known. Witnesses said that Iraqi puppet troops responded to the attack by opening fire indiscriminately around the area.

Resistance pounds US Marine headquarters west of Hit with mortars Sunday morning as American helicopter attacks village.
In a dispatch posted at 1:50pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a barrage of mortar shells into the headquarters of US Marines west of Hit, about 170km northwest of Baghdad on Sunday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a number of mortar rounds blasted into the Marine headquarters near the ‘Uyun al-Qayr area at 8am local time Sunday morning.
The witnesses said that they saw plumes of smoke rising from within the US-occupied facility as a result of the attack. In another incident, local witnesses said they saw a US helicopter fire a rocket at the village of al-Bu Nimr, west of Hit, but knew no further details because US forces sealed off the areas to the west of Hit at the start of their attack and the region was still closed off a the time of reporting.

In a dispatch posted at 2:40pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a mortar barrage into the US base located in Jurf as-Sakhr, about 40km south of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the US base in the area came under a heavy mortar barrage. The puppet police source said he had no information regarding any possible casualties, but eyewitnesses said they saw plumes of smoke rising from the facility.

US forces arrest 43 in al-Hawijah.
In a dispatch posted at 1:30pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops carried out a new wave of arrests of dozens of me in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk. The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops accompanied by their Iraqi puppet army allies stormed the al-Hawijah area where they used percussion bombs to blow open doors and then they stormed inside with police dogs, terrorizing residents. The Americans arrested 43 local residents ranging in age from 18 to 60 years. They also robbed houses of gold jewelry.

In a dispatch posted at 1:10pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired 19 mortar rounds at the headquarters of the Iraqi puppet army’s 1st regiment of the 3rd Brigade on the road between Kirkuk and ar-Riyad, some 55km to the southwest, late on Saturday night, according to a puppet police source. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that they could hear the sound of explosions from inside the headquarters and saw plumes of smoke rising over the facility.
US, Iraqi puppet troops raid home of tribal shaykh near Kirkuk Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops accompanied by their Iraqi puppet army allies raided the home of a shaykh of the al-‘Ubayd tribe in Kirkuk on Saturday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a joint US-Iraqi puppet army force raided the home of Shaykh Sami al-‘Asi, a highly placed shaykh of the Sunni al-‘Ubayd tribe and a member of the puppet provincial council in Kirkuk.
The raid took place in the village of Tall al-Jul, about 30km west of Kirkuk. The source added that the US and Iraqi puppet forces rampaged through the shaykh’s house, wrecking things in a provocative way and terrorizing the women and children. But Shaykh al-‘Asi, was not at home at the time and therefore escaped arrest. Shaykh al-‘Asi is the second tribal leader whose hose has been raided in the last several days. Another tribal leader was arrested and then later released several days earlier, the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent reported.

Resistance rockets blast US base west of al-Mawsil Sunday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:56pm Makkah time Sunday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a rocket barrage into the US base west of al-Mawsil in northern Iraq on Sunday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that explosions shot the base and sent thick black smoke rising from the facility. Flames were seen burning inside the base and swarms of US helicopters flew in over the camp, which is itself a helicopter base.
