US imposes shoot-on-sight curfew in ar-Ramadi then carries out massive air raid on city Saturday night.

In a dispatch posted at 9:58pm Makkah time Saturday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces surrounded the city of ar-Ramadi with dozens of armored vehicles and declared a curfew in the city.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that leaflets had been distributed in numerous neighborhoods demanding that people stay indoors until further notice and threatening that anyone violating those orders will be shot.

Then in a dispatch posted at 10:04pm Makkah time Saturday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US warplanes had launched a violent air raid on ar-Ramadi. The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American aircraft had struck a number of neighborhoods but that ambulances had been unable to get to the areas hit.

Resistance truck bomber blasts into US checkpoint in ar-Ramadi, obliterating it early Saturday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 3:47pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter had driven an explosives-laden truck into a US checkpoint in the al-Mal‘ab area of eastern ar-Ramadi and obliterated it completely.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance attacker drove a large Hino truck into the middle of the checkpoint, which was crowded with American soldiers. Witnesses said that the checkpoint was totally destroyed and all inside were killed. Several US military vehicles were also wrecked in the attack. The correspondent reported that no civilians were killed in the blast other than the Resistance car bomber.

In attacks on US forces in ar-Ramadi Saturday morning, Resistance bomb destroys US minesweeper.

In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US minesweeper vehicle in ar-Raamdi, about 110km west of Baghdad, at 7am local time Saturday morning.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the US occupation troops were using a US minesweeper vehicle to try to clear an area of explosives in the ad-Dubbat neighborhood in central ar-Ramadi when a bomb went off by the vehicle. Resistance men followed that up by firing a rocket-propelled grenade at the minesweeper, totally destroying it.

In a separate incident, Resistance forces bombarded two US positions in ar-Ramadi on Saturday morning, blasting the US position in the College of Agriculture (az-Zira‘ah) east of the city and the US headquarters set up in the provincial government building in downtown ar-Ramadi with several heavy mortar shells. Afterwards, the Americans closed the bridges of al-Warrar and al-Jazirah in the city.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance, US troops battle in al-Fallujah Saturday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 6:03pm Makkah time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that heavy fighting broke out between Iraqi Resistance men and US occupation troops in al-Fallujah on Saturday afternoon. The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that Resistance men set fire to used tires on the main street leading to the new al-Fallujah Bridge and in the neighborhoods of al-Jumhuriyah and al-Andalus in the middle of the city, and in ar-Risalah on the city’s west side.

Witnesses said that Resistance men deployed openly in those areas fully armed without fear of the US forces. When the Americans did show up, the Resistance fighters opened up on them with light and medium weapons and rocket-propelled grenades, disabling a Humvee. The fighting went on for more than half an hour, witnesses said and the Americans had to bring in reinforcements to back up the troops already engaged, due to the intensity of the combat. Ambulances accompanied the reinforcements, which advanced under air cover from US helicopter gun ships.

Three US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing in al-Fallujah Saturday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 3:53pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US foot patrol in the ash-Shuhada’ neighborhood of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad, on Saturday morning.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from the scene of the attack ﾐ where he arrived shortly after it took place ﾐ that three US troops were killed in the blast and four more wounded, one of those having had his leg blown off and another seriously injured in the lower abdomen. Resistance bomb kills two Iraqi puppet policemen in al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad. The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a bomb that had been planted near the Zarazur Restaurant in downtown al-Fallujah went off by a puppet police patrol as it went through the area. The source said that the blast killed two puppet policemen and wounded two more in addition to destroying a patrol car.

‘Anah.

Resistance mortars strike joint US-Iraqi puppet base near ‘Anah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:50pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three 82mm mortar rounds into the joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in the ar-Rayhanah area, 25km east of the city of ‘Anah ﾐ which lies about 300km northwest of Baghdad.

The ‘Anah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance men blasted the joint headquarters located in the Baytarah Circle area of ar-Rayhanah, sending plumes of smoke rising from the facility. After the attack, US and Iraqi puppet forces deployed around the area searching for the source of the fire as US helicopters prowled the skies above. They found nothing.

In a dispatch posted at 12 noon Makkah time Saturday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a headquarters jointly occupied by US troops and their Iraqi puppet army allies near the bridge in Hit, about 170km northwest of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance blasted the headquarters with mortars and then Resistance men armed with light and medium weapons and rocket-propelled grenades assaulted it. The US troops responded by firing wildly in every direction as plumes of smoke rose over the facility.

In a dispatch posted at 3:40pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops accompanied by their Iraqi puppet army allies carried out raids and made arrests in the city of al-Habbaniyah, about 70km west of Baghdad on Friday.

The al-Khalidiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Americans and their puppet allies raided and searched houses in the area on the pretext that they were searching for people involved in the car bomb attack on an outpost at the al-Khalidiyah Bridge area two days earlier. The witnesses said that seven residents of al-Habbaniyah were arrested and led away to an unknown destination.

US soldier reported wounded in Resistance bomb attack in Abu Ghurayb Saturday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 1pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the middle of Abu Ghurayb, about 30km west of Baghdad on Saturday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Mu‘allimin neighborhood of central Abu Ghurayb as saying that the bomb disabled a Humvee, wounding one US soldier.

Resistance bomb targets puppet “Iraqi National Guard” column in at-Taji.

In a dispatch posted at 1:50pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet “Iraqi National Guard” column in the northern Baghdad suburb of at-Taji. The at-Taji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a roadside bomb went off by a puppet “Guard” column, disabling one troop transport and killing four puppet “Guards” and wounding two more of them.

US troops raid mosque in south Baghdad Friday night killing worshipper.

In a dispatch posted at 11:48am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces raided a mosque in southern Baghdad Friday night. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Americans raided a Sunni mosque in the ar-Risalah neighborhood for no apparent reason. The witnesses said that in addition to damaging the building, one worshipper was killed in the mosque and two more arrested.

Resistance rockets batter joint US-Iraqi puppet headquarters in Samarra’ Saturday night.

In a dispatch posted at 10:pm Makkah time Saturday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, Iraqi Resistance forces fired 10 rockets into US occupation forces and puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in the middle of Samarra’ about 120km north of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fire was raging violently in the joint headquarters of the US and Iraqi puppet forces.

Resistance bomb targets puppet police in al-Haswah Saturday.

In a dispatch posted at 5:30pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol in the al-Haswah area, about 33km south of Baghdad on Saturday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the bomb was detonated by remote control in the al-Haswah area, damaging a patrol vehicle and wounding two puppet policemen.

Resistance men ambush Iraqi puppet troops in al-Hawijah.

In a dispatch posted at 6:30pm Makkah time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed Iraqi puppet troops in the al-Hawijah area, 70km southwest of Kirkuk in northern Iraq. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the Resistance men, armed with light and medium weapons killed two Iraqi puppet army soldiers and wounded three more in the attack, after which the Resistance men withdrew without having suffered any casualties.
