Resistance ambush on American column in ‘Anah leaves five US troops reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 3:18pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by a passing column of US vehicles in the ash-Shayshan neighborhood, about 3km from the center of ‘Anah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the neighborhood as saying that the bombs directly hit a Humvee and a US military Massey-Ferguson tractor. The witnesses said that after the two bombs went off, Resistance men attacked the column with rockets, destroying the two vehicles. In the course of the attack, the witnesses said, five US troops were killed. At the time of reporting, the two wrecked vehicles were stilly lying by the side of the road.

High-explosives Resistance bomb blasts US patrol near ‘Anah market, reportedly killing four Americans Tuesday night.

In a dispatch posted at 1:20pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a high-explosive Iraqi Resistance bomb went off by a US patrol passing through the middle of ‘Anah, about 300km northwest of Baghdad at 7:30pm local time Tuesday night. The ‘Anah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb exploded as US troops passed by a market in the middle of town, completely destroying a Humvee and killing four US troops who were aboard it. The city of ‘Anah remains sealed off from the outside world as it has been for several days now.

Al-Khalidiyah.

Resistance marksman kills Iraqi puppet “National Guardsman” in al-Khalidiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 2:12pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed an Iraqi puppet army soldier in the Jazirat al-Khalidiyah area of al-Khalidiyah, about 90km west of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the village of al-Malahimah as saying that the Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter killed one Iraqi puppet soldier who was in the puppet “National Guard” camp in their village. The witnesses said that the puppet “Guard” took a direct hit and was killed instantly.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance mortars pound US camp in as-Saqlawiyah at dawn Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 215pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds into the US military camp in as-Saqlawiyah, about 15km northwest of al-Fallujah, at dawn Wednesday ﾐ the second barrage in three days.

The as-Saqlawiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance shells struck the US camp located opposite the Technical Institute sending plumes of smoke billowing into the sky. After the strike, US forces closed the street leading to the camp ﾐ which also leads to the Technical Institute and also surrounded the Abu Ghayib area which was where the mortars are apparently launched. The same US facility was struck by a barrage on Monday.

US soldier reported killed as Resistance carries out two attacks on US troops in al-Fallujah Tuesday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 1:49pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters carried out two separate attacks on US forces in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Tuesday afternoon.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a Resistance bmob the had been planted on as-Sadd Street by the Industrial Zone in the city went off by a US Marine Column on Tuesday afternoon shortly before sunset. Residents of houses near the scene of the explosion said that the blast disabled a Humvee, killing one US soldier and wounding the rest of the Americans aboard the vehicle.

In the second attack, Resistance men threw a hand grenade at a US patrol in the middle of al-Fallujah Market on Tuesday afternoon, wounding four US troops. After the attack, American forces sealed off the area and evacuated their personnel to the US base east of al-Fallujah known as al-Mazra‘ah (“the Farm”).

Al-Hadithah.

Resistance mortars blast US headquarters in al-Hadithah Wednesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 3:09pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a mortar barrage into the US headquarters in the middle of al-Hadithah, about 220km northwest of Baghdad at 10am local time Wednesday morning and there were indications of US casualties.

The al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance blasted the headquarters that the Americans have set up in the educational building in the middle of the city. The witnesses said that US forces then sealed off the area where the building is located as plumes of thick smoke rose into the sky over the US-occupied facility. A US medevac helicopter emblazoned with a red cross landed in the area shortly after the barrage.

Resistance fighters attack US headquarters in al-Hadithah Tuesday night.

In a dispatch posted at 3:05pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces attacked a US headquarters to the south of al-Hadithah in western Iraq on Tuesday night.

The al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters armed with hand grenades and medium machine guns attacked a house that US forces have commandeered and turned into a local headquarters of theirs in the as-Subhani area of southern al-Hadithah. No information on the nature or extent of any casualties was available because the attack took place late at night during the hours of the curfew.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column in the al-Haqlaniyah area of al-Hadithah, about 220km northwest of Baghdad, on Tuesday night. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of a road near the al-Haqlaniyah Mosque went off by a US patrol at 8pm local time Tuesday night. The explosion destroyed a US Humvee, killing the four American troops aboard it.

Resistance car bomber strikes outside hotel housing mercenary foreign security staff.

In a dispatch posted at 12:49pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter detonated an explosives-laden car near a hotel used by a foreign mercenary company doing work on contract for the US occupation forces.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet security services as saying that a Resistance fighter blew up a car bomb in al-Andalus Square near the as-Sudayr Novotel which is used by a foreign mercenary security guard company working for the American occupation troops.

The source did not disclose the extent of the damage inflicted on the hotel but noted that the explosion was very near the Department of Deputations and Cultural Relations of the puppet “Ministery of Higher Education and Scientific Research” and that it left four persons wounded, one of them a guard at that puppet “Ministry” building.

Resistance bombards US base in al-Yusufiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:30am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a barrage of 82mm and 120mm mortar rounds at the US base in the city of al-Yusufiyah, about 30km southwest of Baghdad. The al-Yusufiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the shells scored direct hits on the American-occupied base, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

Resistance bomb blasts US patrol in Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the northern city of Kirkuk. The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a bomb went of by a US patrol in the “90” area near the Baghdad Transport company in the middle of the city, damaging a patrol vehicle.

Resistance marksman picks off puppet “Iraqi National Guardsman” at checkpoint in al-Mawsil Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed an Iraqi puppet “National Guard” soldier in al-Mawsil on the left (northeast) side of the Tigris River Tuesday afternoon. The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a Resistance sharpshooter killed one of the puppet guards manning a check point in the al-Hudaba’ neighborhood in northeastern al-Mawsil.

Former officer in Iraqi Army assassinated by gunmen in al-Mawsil Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that gunmen killed a high-ranking officer in the Army of the Republic of Iraq in the northern city of al-Mawsil on Tuesday evening. The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet security services who asked not to be identified as saying that a group of armed men opened fire on Muhammad Najib ‘Abdallah, killing him. The assassination took place in al-Mawsil’s ath-Thawrah neighborhood on the right (southwest) bank of the Tigris River.
