英陸軍の参謀総長リチャード・ダナット大将が「イギリス軍の存在がイラクの治安を悪化させている。イギリス軍は早期撤退すべきである」と発言したことを受けて、イギリス軍兵士たちが大歓迎している様子を、インディペンデント紙（10月14日付）が報じている。
兵士たちはどこかでいつかイギリス軍上級幹部が真実を語ってくれるのでは、と期待していたようではあるが、これほどの大物が「早期撤退」発言したことには驚いた様子。心から喜んでいるのが伝わってくる。
中には、
おっしゃるとおりです。ブレアを壁の前に立たして撃つことができるかな？？？？？？
というもの凄いものまである。
しかもみんながBlairではなくB'liarと書いている。もはやイギリス人でブレアを信じている者は本人も含めて誰もいないのだろう。
