Resistance car bomber blasts into US column in al-Khalidiyah Friday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 3:28pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter had driven an explosives-laden car into a patrol of several US Humvees in al-Khalidiyah, about 80km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance fighter the US column with his explosive car on the main road in the middle of town, completely destroying one vehicle and disabling a second, and killing or wounding a number of American troops who were aboard the vehicles. At the time of reporting, American forces were surrounding the entire area.
Al-Qa’im.
Massive and violent explosion rocks US base west of al-Qa’im early Friday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a powerful explosion rocked the US base west of the city of al-Qa’im near the Syrian border in western Iraq early on Friday morning, igniting fires and sending clouds of thick smoke billowing into the sky. The cause of the blast was not immediately known.
The al-Qa’im correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the western neighborhoods of the city were shaken by a massive and violent explosion at about 6am Friday morning. It was soon clear that the blast had come from within the US base as tongues of flame and clouds of smoke appeared inside the American facility and US helicopters flew in.
The wail of sirens could be heard coming from inside the American base. The correspondent reported that the cause of the blast was unclear, as there had been no sound of rockets being fired from either fixed or portable launchers in the city, as happens with every attack on the American facility.
Al-Hadithah.
US extends lockdown of populated areas in western Iraq on Friday, sealing off towns and villages, raiding homes, stealing, beating women, arresting dozens of men as of early afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 2:50pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces extended their blockade of towns and villages on the Upper Euphrates westward at dawn on Friday, sealing off the villages of Jubbah, at-Tulayhiyah, Ra’s al-Gharbi, and the towns of ‘Anah and Rawah in western al-Anbar Province. Two days earlier the Americans had sealed off the villages of Alus and al-Bu Hayyat near al-Hadithah.
The al-Hadithah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that dozens of US vehicles and hundreds of US troops accompanied by their Iraqi puppet army allies expanded the area of their blockade westward to include those villages and towns and the market areas adjoining the cities of al-Hadithah ミ at the eastern end of the area ミ and al-Qa’im near the Syrian border to the west.
The witnesses said that Friday morning the Americans imposed a curfew on the residents of the area, telling them to say in their homes and making threats of violence in case there is any violation. The US troops then launched a campaign of raids and searches in districts and neighborhoods of those towns and villages, arresting dozens as of the time of reporting, even though they only found one gun. The witnesses also confirmed that in some cases the Americans attacked women in those villages, beating and kicking them, and that the Americans also committed acts of robbery.

Resistance fighters mount attack on house of puppet “Governor” of al-Anbar Province.
In a bulletin posted at 2:47pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had attacked the home of the puppet “Governor” of al-Anbar Province, Ma’mun Sami Rashid in the al-Bu ‘Alwan section of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the ar-Ramadi puppet police as saying that Resistance men tried to storm the house but a violent battle ensued between them and the house guards. The Resistance fighters called off the attack and withdrew after the arrival of US helicopter gun ships in the area. The source said that two of the Resistance men were wounded in the attack and captured. Taken to the hospital, they later were reported dead.
Powerful Resistance bomb blasts US vehicle in ar-Ramadi leaving seven US troops reported killed early Friday afternoon.
In a bulletin posted at 2:09pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier a high-explosive Iraqi Resistance bomb went off by a US Zeal troop transport vehicle loaded with American soldiers in the al-Jam‘iyah area of ar-Ramadi.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses who were coming out of the neighborhood mosque at the time as saying that the high-yield bomb exploded by an American Zeal personnel carrier that was headed towards the sheep market square in the northern part of the city after they heard explosions coming from that area.
The witnesses said that the huge explosion by the personnel carrier killed at least seven Americans. At the time of writing US troops sealed off the neighborhood and were still surrounding the entire area. The Americans also detained a number of people who had been attending Friday congregational prayers in the mosque to interrogate them.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance bomb in al-Fallujah leaves US Marine reported dead.
In a dispatch posted at 12:49pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the ad-Dubbat neighborhood of eastern al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Friday morning.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb went off near the al-Mudallil Mosque as a US patrol was driving through the area on its daily morning rounds. The blast heavily damaged a US vehicle, setting its engine on fire and killed one American Marine and wounded three more of them. Witnesses saw other US troops place the body of the dead Marine in a Humvee for evacuation; the wounded men were taken to an ambulance and transported to the US base known as al-Mazra‘ah (“the Farm”).

In a dispatch posted at 10:06pm Makkah time Friday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that 10 Iraqi Resistance fighters were killed in an American ambush in the an area of four houses near Zawbi‘ area near al-Fallujah on Thursday night.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Iraqi Resistance fighters intercepted a column of four armored 4-wheel-drive vehicles on the highway, setting two of them ablaze.
It became apparent that they were empty except for their drivers. The Resistance men then tried to withdraw from the area but American occupation troops were lying in wait for them behind an earthen barrier nearby. The US troops quickly advanced and encircled the Resistance fighters. A short but unequal battle ensued in which the 10 Resistance men were killed, two of them fraternal Arab volunteers, of whom one was Saudi.
Witnesses told the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent that two US troops were also killed in the engagement. A medical source in al-Fallujah General Hospital confirmed the incident, saying that the puppet “Road Protection Police” delivered the 10 bodies to the hospital but the occupation forces quickly came and requested them and, since the Americans control Iraq, they took the bodies with them back to one of their bases in al-Fallujah.

Four US troops reported killed in Resistance car bomb attack on US column in al-‘Amiriyah Friday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 5:30pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a column of several US Humvees and Abrams tanks near the horse race track in al-‘Amiriyah in western Baghdad. The attack took place on Friday morning, just as the nighttime curfew was coming to an end in the occupied city.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police force that guards oil products who was at the scene as saying that the car bomber drove a Kia sedan into the American column destroying one Humvee and damaging a second. The source said that four US troops were killed and five more wounded in the explosion. The Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent arrived on the scene about two hours after the blast to find that US troops were still surrounding the area, even though they had already hauled away the wreckage of the vehicles and evacuated the dead and wounded.

American soldier killed by Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet in al-Mawsil Friday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier in the northern Iraqi city of al-Mawsil on Friday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a US soldier was standing at the al-Mawsil train station when he was struck directly in the face by an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet, crushing his head and killing him instantly. A source in the al-Mawsil puppet police, which has recently taken on the responsibility of guarding the train station, confirmed that death of the American, saying that the bullet that killed him was fired by an Iraqi Resistance fighter.
Tall ‘Afar.
US Marine reported killed by Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet in Tall ‘Afar Friday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 1:05pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US Marine in the as-Saray neighborhood of “al-Madinah” in Tall ‘Afar, about 55km west of al-Mawsil in northern Iraq. The Tall ‘Afar correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the American took a direct hit in the head from a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet, killing him instantly.
Afterward, witnesses said, the Americans sealed off the entire area from 9am until 12 noon local time. During those hours, they conducted raids and searches looking for the Resistance sharpshooter but found no sign of him. Other residents said that the soldier’s blood was still on the ground after the body was taken away, forcing the Americans to wash it away using a water hose on one of their vehicles. The US occupation forces endeavor to conceal all signs of US casualties in an effort to hide the cost of their invasion and occupation of Iraq.

Danish soldier killed in battle with Iraqi Resistance forces near al-Basrah.
In a dispatch posted at 2:40pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Danish Central Military Command announced on Friday that a Danish occupation soldier had died of wounds received in fighting the Iraqi Resistance in al-Harithah, about 15km north of al-Basrah in southern Iraq.
Reuters, as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, reported that fighting had erupted during one of the Danish military operations and that one of their soldiers had been severely wounded on Thursday. The Danish occupation forces operation was aimed at stopping a Resistance rocket bombardment on a joint British-Danish military camp. The wounded Dane was evacuated to a British field hospital where he later died. Denmark, a NATO satellite of the United States, has a force of 470 troops serving the American occupation in Iraq.
