Resistance bomb blasts US patrol in al-Fallujah Wednesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 5:40pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in northern al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Wednesday morning.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb went off by a Marine patrol in the Nuwwab ad-Dubbat neighborhood in northern al-Fallujah.

The witnesses said that the blast damaged a patrol vehicle and wounded one US soldier. The Americans then closed off the entire area.

US Marine reported killed by Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter in al-Fallujah Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:50pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad, on Wednesday.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a US Marine foot patrol was conducting searches in the as-Sajar area of northern al-Fallujah when one of the Marines was struck and killed by an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet.

Witnesses said that the sharpshooter got out of a civilian car not far from the Amercian patrol and shot down the Marine without the Americans noticing. After the attack he left the area.

The Americans then began raiding the shops near the scene of the attack and arrested numerous shopkeepers. They then stormed into the houses that were located near by, including the home of one of the shaykhs of the al-Jamilah tribe. The US troops arrested one of the Shaykh’s sons.

Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance car bomber blasts into joint US-Iraqi puppet army base in ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a base jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet troops in ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad on Wednesday.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance car bomber penetrated into the former ar-Ramadi Youth Center that US troops have taken over and turned into a joint base for themselves and their Iraqi puppet army allies. The facility is located near the al-Warrar Bridge.

The witnesses said that they could see thick plumes of smoke billowing up from within the base.

Heavy fighting rages as Resistance battles US Marines in western al-Ramadi midday Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 1:59pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier fierce fighting erupted between the Iraqi Resistance and US Marine occupation troops in ar-Ramadi.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the combat was centered around the vegetable oil factory in the western part of the city and was still under way at the time of reporting.

Baghdad.

Resistance fighters kill commander of sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in Baghdad district.

In a dispatch posted at 10:45pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed the commander of the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in the Sab‘ al-Bur district of Baghdad on Wednesday night.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a group of Resistance men stormed the house of the commander, known as Abu ‘Ali in Sab‘ al-Bur and killed him and four of his guards.

Mortar shell blasts into houses in Baghdad’s al-A‘zamiyah district Wednesday morning, killing two civilians.

In a dispatch posted at 4:20pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that unknown forces fired a mortar barrage at the predominantly Sunni district of al-A‘zamiyah in northern Baghdad Tuesday morning.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet “Interior Ministry Security Services” as saaynig that a mortar shell slammed into an area of civilian houses in the as-Sakani neighborhood of al-A‘zamiyah, killing two civilians and wounding two more. The injured persons were taken to nearby an-Nu‘man Hospital for treatment.

Resistance bombs target motorcade of puppet “Iraqi Industry Minister” in Baghdad Wednesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 4pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by the motorcade of the puppet “Iraqi Minister of Industry” in southeastern Baghdad Wednesday morning.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that an explosives-laden car that was parked by the side of a road blew up and was followed by the explosion of a bomb that had been planted just meters from the car. The target of the blasts was the motorcade carrying the puppet “Minister” through the Camp Sarah section of eastern Baghdad. The source said that the double bombing killed several persons, including three of the puppet “Minister’s” body guards. More than 50 people were wounded, among them 11 guards of the puppet official. The puppet “Minister” himself was unhurt.

Resistance bomb blasts US patrol in Baghdad leaving two US troops reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the area of Maysalun Square in the Zuyunah neighborhood of central Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the explosion destroyed a Humvee, killing two US troops who were aboard it and wounding two more of them as well.

Resistance bomb blasts US vehicle in al-‘Amiriyah Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the western Baghdad district of al-‘Amiriyah on Tuesday.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the bomb went off by the side of a road in al-‘Amiriyah as a US patrol drove past, disabling one Humvee. No information was available on casualties because US forces moved quickly to seal off the area after the attack.

Resistance fighters kill pro-American Badr Brigade fighter Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces shot and killed a member of the pro-American Shi ‘ sectarian Badr Brigades in Baghdad on Tuesday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Fadl area of central Baghdad as saying that Resistance men equipped with light machine guns attacked and killed the Badr Brigade gunman near the fire house in the area.

Danish Prime Minister vows to keep Danish occupation troops in Iraq in the name of “freedom” and “democracy.”

In a dispatch posted at 1:10pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen in an address on Tuesday insisted that Denmark would keep its occupation troops in Iraq as part of what he called a “global battle of values.”

Rasmussen refused to set a deadline for the withdrawal of Danish occupation troops when he delivered a televised address that coincided with the burial of a fifth Danish soldier wounded in a Resistance bomb attack in al-Basrah in September, Mafkarat al-Islam noted.

In a speech on Tuesday, Rasmussen expressed the belief that the American invasion of Iraq and Denmark’s participation in the occupation of that country were part of a broader struggle to impose what he called “freedom and democracy.”

Rasmussen indicated that Denmark’s occupation of Iraq is a part of a “battle between sensible enlightenment and fundamentalist obscurity, between democracy and dictatorship, between freedom and tyranny.” Rasmussen characterized the Iraqi Resistance fighters as “terrorists” and explained their escalating struggle against the foreign occupying armies ﾐ a struggle that enjoys the support of the majority of the Iraqi people ﾐ by saying that “terrorists fear freedom.”

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Denmark has a force of 470 soldiers in Iraq serving the American occupation. The Danes are deployed in the southern city of al-Basrah under British command.

Bayji.

US troops poison Tigris River near Bayji, killing hundreds of birds and fish; deadly consequences for humans feared.

In a dispatch posted at 10:55pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that hundreds of fish and birds that inhabit the water and banks of the Tigris River in the area of Bayji, about 200km north of Baghdad, were found dead on Wednesday in an ecological disaster that is only expected to be worsen with potential catastrophic effects for the human population as well.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the reason for the massive deaths of the riparian wildlife in the area was that US troops had been pouring poisonous substances and chemicals into the Tigris. Local residents are bracing for the effects of the mass poisoning to begin to take a heavy toll on the human population as well, since many facets of life in Bayji are dependent upon the Tigris directly or indirectly.

Dr. Muhammad al-‘Umar, Director of Bayji Hospital, told Mafkarat al-Islam that the local administration of the Bayji district had shut down the fresh water pumping staion for fear that the poisoned water would kill city residents. The shutdown of the Bayji’s running water system has forced the whole city to rely on bottled water, adding a substantially to the financial burdens of the many people who already manage to survive with great difficulty.

Al-Miqdadiyah.

Villagers deny claims by Iraqi puppet regime to have captured 11 non-Iraqi Arab volunteer fighters near al-Miqdadiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:10pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that residents of al-Miqdadiyah, about 85km northeast of Baghdad denied a report issued by the puppet police that 11 Arab volunteer Resistance fighters had been arrested in the city.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the puppet regime’s official “al-‘Iraqiyah” TV station broadcast the claim in a “bulletin” on Wednesday afternoon, saying that the puppet police and tribes had arrested 11 “Arab gunmen,” nine of them supposedly Syrian, one of them Saudi, and one other Yemeni. The arrest supposedly took place in the at-Tayih wa-az-Zawr district of al-Miqdadiyah.

But the Mafkarat al-Islam correspondent in al-Miqdadiyah reported eyewitnesses as denying the claim and saying that 34 people were in fact arrested in that area, but all of them were Iraqis. The villagers there, who number only 2,000 men and women, were surprised at the report. It wasn’t logical, they said, that such a number of non-Iraqis could all be living in one house with not one Iraqi staying with them. The residents of the area said that the story was part of the propaganda war that the US-installed regime engaged in with the hope of sowing divisions between the tribes and the Iraqi Resistance.

Resistance hand grenade explodes by US troops in ar-Riyad, near Kirkuk, Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 1:40pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance hand grenade exploded by a US patrol near the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk on Tuesday.

The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a hand grenade exploded by a passing US patrol in the ar-Riyad area, 60km southwest of Kirkuk. The source said that the attack damaged a US vehcle but gave no information regarding the nature or extent of US casualties.

Al-Mawsil.

Puppet army patrol kills three civilians in al-Mawsil “by mistake” Tuesday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 12:10pm Makkah time midday Wednesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a patrol of Iraqi puppet soldiers opened fire on a civilian car on the Fifth Bridge over the Tigris River in the northern city of al-Mawsil on Tuesday evening.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the local puppet police as saying that the patrol shot at the civilian car “by mistake,” killing three civilians immediately and wounding a fourth. At the time of reporting Wednesday, nothing was known about that passenger’s condition.
