Resistance bomb near al-Fallujah wounds two US Marines Tuesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 1:57pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US Marine patrol in as-Saqlawiyah, about 15km northwest of al-Fallujah. The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb planted near a fuel station at the junction between the highway and the road to Samarra’ went off as a Marine patrol drove past along the highway Tuesday morning. Witnesses said that the explosion damaged a Humvee and wounded two US troops. Other American forces rushed to the scene and sealed it off.

Resistance mortars pound puppet “National Guard” checkpoint in tribal area in al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 1:55pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four 82mm mortar rounds into a puppet “Iraqi National Guard” checkpoint in an area of the al-Bu Hatim, one of the branches of the al-Bu ‘Isa tribe in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the checkpoint, which had been set up some days ago in the al-Bu Hatim area on the road to the ‘Amiriyat al-Fallujah junction south of the city, took direct hits from the shells.

Witnesses saw bodies of dead Iraqi troops who had manned the checkpoint being evacuated after the bombardment. The correspondent reported that there was no reason for setting up the checkpoint in the first place since the Americans had already seized more than 10 houses on the street and turned them into military camps with guard towers and sniper nests.

Ar-Ramadi.

In a dispatch posted at 10:10pm Makkah time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at the time of reporting US warplanes were violently bombing and rocketing the city of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.

The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the American fighter bombers were simultaneously striking the districts of as-Sajariyah, as-Sufiyah, and al-Jazirah, aiming for residential housing. At the time of reporting there was still no information on the nature or extent of casualties. Loudspeakers on mosques in the city were proclaiming “Allahu Akbar!” (“God is greatest”) in an attempt to counter the terrifying din of the bombs and rockets, and were also issuing calls on local residents to come an donate blood and volunteer to help dig women and children out of the ruins of their demolished houses.

Fierce fighting rages in ar-Ramadi midday Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:48pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier violent fighting erupted between Iraqi Resistance fighters and US troops in ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the combat broke out on 17 Street in the middle of the city and was still raging at the time of reporting. In the course of the battle, Resistance fighters had destroyed one American Zeal personnel carrier loaded with troops.

In a dispatch posted at 12:47pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a spokesman for the Iraqi puppet army in al-Anbar Province admitted that the Iraqi Resistance fires a minimum of more than 40 rockets and mortar shells at US and Iraqi puppet army bases.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Colonel Anwar al-Jurani met the puppet provincial governor Ma’mun Sami Rashid in the al-Anbar provincial government building in ar-Ramadi on Tuesday morning. Colonal al-Jawrani criticized the American approach of trying to exhaust the Resistance fighters’ arms and ammunition, saying that this was a serious error since the armed “insurgency” ﾐ as he called the Resistance struggle ﾐ was over three years old and was active in various parts of the country including al-Anbar Province.

Al-Jawrani told Mafkarat al-Islam that the Resistance fires an average of 40 rockets of various types and mortar shells of various calibers every day. Al-Jawrani indicated that reports of tribes rising to oppose the Resistance in al-Anbar province were untrue, pointing out that they were even illogical, since the members of the armed Resistance groups were themselves members of the tribes. He also noted that it would be impossible to expect the tribes to put down a Resistance movement that the American army had failed to put down over three years.

Abu Ghurayb.

Deadly Resistance car bomber blasts US patrol in Abu Ghurayb midday Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:55pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a US patrol in Abu Ghurayb, about 30km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the car bomber drove into a patrol of four US armored vehicles in the az-Zaytun section of Abu Ghurayb, completely destroying two of the armored vehicles and killing all the US troops who were aboard them. American forces quickly closed off the area with reinforcements, making a detailed account of the nature and extent of US casualties unavailable.

US forces arrest 32 local residents in Baghdad’s al-Ghazaliyah neighborhood.

In a dispatch posted at 1:15pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces carried out a campaign of raids, searches, and arrests in the al-Ghazaliyah neighborhood of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US troops arrested 32 local residents in the sweep, without explaining why they were being abducted. The witnesses said that the Americans sealed off several areas that they were searching for more than an hour and a half. All those arrested were at least 20 years old.

Resistance fighters assassinate puppet colonel in intelligence service.

In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed a high-ranking officer in the puppet “Interior Ministry” forces on Monday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with light arms shot and killed Colonel Khalil ‘Id al-Hasan of the intelligence division of the puppet “Interior Ministry.” Witnesses said that the Resistance men attacked the Colonel near the al-Kaylani fuel station located near the al-Bab ash-Sharqi section of Baghdad. The colonel died instantly.

For (the) third straight day, US carries out searches in az-Za‘faraniyah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:10am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces for the third straight day carried out raids in the southwest Baghdad area of az-Za‘faraniyah, searching for “wanted men.”

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US troops clamped a ring around az-Za‘faraniyah during the night and began searches for “suspects.” The Americans announced over loudspeakers that they were giving money rewards to anyone providing information. Witnesses reported that they were not sure whether the Americans actually arrested any of the persons for whom they were searching, but they complained about the hateful behavior of the American troops during their recurring raids. They continuously shoot their guns into the air for no reason and detain people inside their houses.

Resistance battles US troops in Baghdad’s al-A‘zamiyah district in pre-dawn hours of Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 2am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at that moment fierce fighting was underway between the Iraqi Resistance and US occupation forces on ‘Umar ibn ‘Abd al-‘Aziz Street in the middle of al-A‘zamiyah. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that in the course of the fighting a US Humvee had been set ablaze near the al-Kass Restaurant. It could still be seen on fire. At that time, no information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.

Resistance fighters attack puppet troops at checkpoint.

In a dispatch posted at 10:50am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a checkpoint jointly manned by Iraqi puppet police and puppet army troops in ad-Dawr, about 150km north of Baghdad.

The Tikrit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that Resistance men equipped with light arms and driving two civilian cars attacked the Abu Dalaf checkpoint south of ad-Dawr near Tikrit the previous night. One officer in the puppet police was killed and others were wounded.An attack on the same checkpoint four months earlier left 15 puppet troops and policemen dead.

Resistance bomb wounds US soldier in al-Latifiyah Tuesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 4:40pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US Humvee on al-Qantarah Street in al-Latifiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad Tuesday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that the bomb disabled the Humvee, wounding one US Marine. Afterward, US troops closed off the area for an hour.

Resistance bomb targets puppet “National Guard” checkpoint.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded near a puppet “Iraqi National Guard” checkpoint near the city of al-Hillah, about 100km south of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb was planted near a checkpoint at the ad-Dayirah crossing in the area of al-Iskandariyah, about 40km south of Baghdad. Details on the damage and casualties caused by the bombing were unavailable because the puppet “National Guard” quickly sealed off the area, allowing no one to approach.

Sufi Resistance fighters post communiqu on first operation in Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 1:59pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Sufi Brigades of ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Kaylani issued their first battle communiqu on Tuesday morning since the announcement that they had formed a Resistance detachment.

The Brigades of ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Kaylani (sometimes spelled ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Gilani and ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Jilani) were formed from followers of the Sufi Qadiri order founded by ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Kaylani (1077-1166). The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Sufi Resistance group announced that it was responsible for the assassination of one Muhsin ‘Abd al-Latif al-Jabiri, a commander of the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Da‘wah Party in the northern city of Kirkuk. The communiqu issued by the ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Kaylani Brigades was posted on the door of the ash-Shaykh Jasim al-‘Ubaydi Mosque in al-Hawijah, southwest of Kirkuk.

The Sufi communiqu read:

“Your brothers in the Brigades of the Shaykh ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Kaylani assassinated the noxious Muhsin ‘Abd al-Latif al-Jabiri, one of the commanders of the Da‘wah Party who was responsible for handing over to the occupation forces four arsenals of military materiel in 2005 and for informing on a large number of our mujahid brothers in other Resistance detachments.”

The communiqu went on to say that the ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Kaylani Brigades will publicize all the jihadi operations that they have already carried out in coming days. The communiqu was signed by the Jihadi Brigades of the Shaykh ‘Abd al-Qadir al-Kaylani.

Resistance blasts British base in al-Basrah just after sunset Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 10:15pm Makkah time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the British base in at-Tuways in the middle of the southern city of al-Basrah just after sunset on Tuesday evening. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the roar of five powerful blasts shook the area around the base one after the other but the British disclosed no information regarding the nature or extent of casualties. Resistance bombardments of the British base are considered natural occurrences since they take place regularly each day.
