Al-Anbar Province.

Ar-Ramadi.

US bombs vacant houses in ar-Ramadi on pretext of preventing their use by Resistance fighters.

In a dispatch posted at 3:14pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops used loudspeakers to announce that they were intending to bomb houses in the city of ar-Ramadi and then they did in fact strike some of them.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that American forces drove patrols around with loudspeaker trucks, announcing that US aircraft were going to strike empty houses in ar-Ramadi, claiming that Resistance fighters use vacant houses for their operations. The witnesses said that US aircraft began to carry out the threat, bombing four uninhabited houses in the ash-Shurtah and al-Mal‘ab neighborhoods in the middle of town. The attacks totally destroyed the houses.

Resistance bomb rips through US Humvee in western Hit Friday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 1:18pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the western part of Hit, 165km northwest of Baghdad on Friday evening.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Hit as saying that the bomb, which was planted by the side of the road between the al-Jabal neighborhood and the al-Jary neighborhood in the western part of the city blew up by a patrol of three Humvees. The explosion completely destroyed one of the Humvees. American troops aboard the vehicle were either killed or wounded.

Abu Ghurayb.

Resistance sharpshooter kills Iraqi puppet “National Guard” soldier in Abu Ghurayb.

In a dispatch posted at 1:29pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a puppet “Iraqi National Guard” soldier in Abu Ghurayb, about 30km west of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Abu Ghurayb as saying that a puppet “National Guard” foot patrol was in the ash-Shuhada’ neighborhood of Abu Ghurayb when one of the “Guards” was struck and killed by an Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet.

Baghdad.

Mortar shells strike football field during game in “Madinat as-Sadr” Saturday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 6pm Makkah time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two mortar shells landed on a football field in the so-called “Madinat as-Sadr” area of Baghad, a stronghold of the Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia on Saturday morning.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local sources in “Madinat as-Sadr” as saying that the playing field was struck at 10am local time Saturday morning when the area was occupied with Shi‘i soccer players and their fans. Official medical sources in al-Kindi General Hospital reported that at least 15 people were killed or injured in the attack which appeared to be part of the on-going effort to spark sectarian killings and split Iraq along religious sectarian and ethnic lines.

Resistance men kill puppet Iraqi intelligence officer in southern Baghdad Saturday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:30pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance men shot and killed an officer in the new puppet Iraqi intelligence apparatus in southern Baghdad at midday Saturday.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that Resistance men attacked the car carrying an Iraqi puppet intelligence officer in the al-Bayya‘ area of southern Baghdad, spraying it with light machine gun fire and killing the puppet officer immediately. The Resistance attackers then withdrew from the scene. The source did not reveal any further details regarding the successful Resistance attack.

Five US troops reported killed in Iraqi Resistance car bomb attack in at-Tarimiyah Saturday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 6:05pm Makkah time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a a US military column in the ash-Shatt area in the area of at-Tarimiyah, a northern suburb of Baghdad about 30km from the occupied Iraqi capital at 3pm local time Saturday afternoon.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Captain Lu’ay Kamil al-‘Ubaydi of the Iraqi puppet army as saying that the explosion destroyed a US Zeal troop transport and killed five US troops and wounded three more of them, one of those severely. After the attack, US troops cordoned off the area and imposed a curfew, which was still in force at the time of reporting.

By sealing off the area where the attack occurred, the Americans actually completely closed the highway that runs north from Baghdad to Tikrit. The correspondent noted that there had been three martyrdom attacks by Iraqi Resistance fighters in at-Tarimiyah in the last week.

Bayji.

Resistance men seize fuel from pro-American sectarian militia, distribute it free to local residents.

In a dispatch posted at 6pm Makkah time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters in Bayji, near an oil refinery, about 200km north of Baghdad, stopped a convoy of 10 loaded fuel tankers carrying fuel for the pro-American “Supreme Council for the Islamic Revolution in Iraq” (SCIRI) whose 20,000-man armed wing invaded Iraq with the US forces in 2003 and since then have formed the backbone of the puppet police and security services. The tankers belonged to the SCIRI branch from an-Najaf in southern Iraq but were stopped by the Iraqi Resistance on their way there at 9am local time Saturday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Resistance men captured the drivers of the trucks and then took the fuel and distributed it free among residents of the cities of Bayji and Tikrit and surrounding villages whose residents have all been suffering from a severe fuel crisis since fuel has been cut off from their areas and is regularly shipped off to primarily Shi‘i parts of the country by the American-backed sectarian regime in Baghdad. The correspondent reported that the fate of the drivers was unknown.

Resistance mortars blast puppet “National Guard” checkpoint in Balad.

In a dispatch posted at 2:10pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three 82mm mortar rounds at a puppet “Iraqi National Guard” checkpoint in the city of Balad, about 80km north of Baghdad.

The Balad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance barrage scored direct hits on the checkpoint located south of the Balad fuel station sending of smoke rising from inside the facility. No information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.

Ba‘qubah.

Resistance bomb targets puppet “National Guards” in Ba‘qubah Friday.

In a dispatch posted at 2:05pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet “National Guard” column in Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad on Friday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of the road in the ar-Rahwaniyah area blew up by the puppet “Guard” column, destroying a troop transport. Eyewitnesses said that the attack killed four Iraqi puppet “Guards” and severely wounded four more of them. Afterwards, Iraqi puppet security men closed off the area so they could evacuate the dead and wounded.

Al-Hillah.

Resistance blasts US consulate in al-Hillah with mortars on Friday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:56am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a barrage of ten 82mm mortar rounds at the US consulate in the city of al-Hillah, about 100km south of Baghdad on Friday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the American consulate, which occupies the touristic Babil Hotel on the Euphrates river bank in al-Hillah, was targeted by the barrage. After the attack, puppet police were sent out to the village of ‘Ananah from where the mortar rounds were believed launched. The puppet police patrols found no sign of Resistance fighters or mortars. The US consulate provided no information on the nature or extent of casualties, if any, from the barrage.

Kirkuk.

Resistance men kill puppet army soldier in northern Kirkuk Friday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 12:30pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a group of Resistance fighters shot and killed a soldier in the Iraqi puppet army in northern Kirkuk on Friday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that Resistance men in a civilian car opened fire with machine guns on ‘Abdallah Mustafa in front of his house in a northern neighborhood of Kirkuk on Friday evening, killing him instantly.

In a dispatch posted at 12:21pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the city of Kirkuk in northern Iraq on Saturday morning.

The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the main road in the Celebration Square area near the puppet police academy in the southern part of the city blew up by a local puppet police patrol. The explosion damaged a patrol vehicle, wounding three puppet policemen in varying degrees of severity.

Four powerful Iraqi Resistance bombs rip through US supply convoy in al-Mawsil Saturday night.

In a bulletin posted at 10pm Makkah time Saturday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier four powerful explosions shook the northern Iraqi city of al-Mawsil.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the explosions went off in the Bab ash-Sham area on the west side of al-Mawsil. Local residents in that area confirmed that the explosions went off under a US supply convoy hauling provisions and equipment to US military forces. No information on the nature or extent of destruction or casualties was available.
