Ar-Ramadi.

Resistance blasts US headquarters in ar-Ramadi with mortars midday Friday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:12pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance forces had fired a mortar barrage at the an-Nasr Sports Club building in western ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad, the club has been occupied and used by US troops as a local headquarters for two weeks.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that three mortar rounds blasted into the building sending thick smoke billowing into the sky.

Al-Fallujah.

US troops trash major mosque in al-Fallujah Thursday night.

In a dispatch posted at 12:47pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops attacked a major mosque in the city of al-Fallujah late on Thursday night.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that American forces stormed the al-Hadrah al-Muhammadiyah Mosque, desecrating it and firing indiscriminately at it minaret and walls and trashing the contents of the building. The Americans broke down the doors to the mosque but in the end never found anything that they were seeking. The Americans then left the mosque in a shambles an hour after they stormed in.

US and Iraqi puppet forces raid mosque in Hit Thursday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 10:42am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops and their Iraqi puppet army allies raided a mosque in Hit, about 165km northwest of Baghdad at dawn on Thursday.

The Hit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the raiding force surrounded the al-Ghafur Mosque and two neighboring buildings and then a group of Iraqi puppet troops savagely stormed into the mosque searching it and trashing the furniture there and in the two adjacent buildings as well.

The troops arrested three people who were in the mosque and lead them away to an unknown destination.

Baghdad.

Two puppet officers killed in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 10:31am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet police discovered the body of an officer in the Iraqi puppet army two days after his abduction. Meanwhile, Resistance fighters shot and killed a puppet police officer in central Baghdad.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet army as saying that puppet police patrols found the body of a puppet officer thrown in a garbage dump in the middle of the city.

The source added that Resistance men had abducted the officer from where he worked in Baghdad two days earlier. The source did not disclose the name of the officer or where he worked or any other details.

The source did say that Resistance men had also shot and killed Muhammad Mihna, a lieutenant colonel in the Iraqi puppet police and his companion on an-Nidal Street in the middle of Baghdad on Thursday.

Resistance bomb kills Iraqi puppet army soldier on Palestine Street in Baghdad Thursday.

In a dispatch posted at 10:29am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army patrol in eastern Baghdad on Thursday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the side of Palestine Street in eastern Baghdad went off by a passing Iraqi puppet army patrol, severely damaging a patrol vehicle and killing one puppet soldier and wounding four more of them. The source said that Iraqi puppet forces closed off the area immediately after the attack to evacuate the dead and wounded.

Resistance fighters ambush puppet army patrol in Samarra’.

In a dispatch posted at 2:38pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed an Iraqi puppet army patrol in the al-Qadisiyah neighborhood of central Samarra’ at 9am local time Friday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that Resistance men armed with medium and light machine guns attacked the puppet army patrol, killing five puppet troops and wounding seven more, one of them believed to be near death. US and Iraqi puppet troops responded to the attack by banning Friday congregational prayer in the city and extending the curfew already in force, closing down Samarra’ for the fifth straight day. The lockdown of the city has sent prices of food and fuel skyrocketing and have produced a growing shortage of needed medicine and medical supplies in the city.

Bayji.

Bodies of executed Kurdish separatist Peshmergah gunmen found north of Bayji Thursday.

In a dispatch posted at 9:25pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet police in the town of Makhul, 25km north of Bayji (which is about 200km north of Baghdad) had found the bodies of three Kurdish separatist pro-American Peshmergah militiamen on Thursday afternoon.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the three had been executed by shooting. He said that the puppet police in Makhul were holding the three bodies while they searched for other corpses of pro-US gunmen that they expect to find.

Diyala Province.

Ba‘qubah.

In a dispatch posted at 4:57pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters assaulted a checkpoint manned by Iraqi puppet army troops in the at-Tahrir neighborhood of northern Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad.

The Ba‘qubah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three puppet army troops were killed in the attack and that the remainder of the detail at the checkpoint fled before the Resistance assault, abandoning their equipment and leaving their uniforms behind.

Kirkuk.

Resistance bomb reportedly kills US soldier in Kirkuk Friday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 2:29pm Makkah time Friday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a routine US patrol in the Wahid Adhar neighborhood of the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk at 8am local time Friday morning.

The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb went off by the side of the street near the Technical Institute in southern Kirkuk. The explosion destroyed a US vehicle and killed one American soldier and wounded four more of them. Once local civilian was also killed.

Tall ‘Afar.

Resistance bomber targets puppet army checkpoint and bomb blasts US column in Tall ‘Afar killing puppet regiment commander Friday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 6:55pm Makkah time Friday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car towards a checkpoint manned by Iraqi puppet troops in the al-Qadisiyah neighborhood of Tall ‘Afar, about 55km west of al-Mawsil in northern Iraq at about 3pm local time Friday.

The Tall ‘Afar correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the puppet troops at the checkpoint saw the death car rushing towards them, however, and unleashed a hail of gunfire at the vehicle, bringing it to a halt before it could reach its target.

Staff Colonel Karim Jasim al-Karbala’i, the commander of the 3rd Regiment of the puppet troops then set out with a group of soldiers from the checkpoint to take a look at the car but when they got up to the stalled vehicle it suddenly detonated. Apparently the Resistance fighter had only been wounded, not killed, by the soldiers’ gunfire.

The explosion killed three puppet army officers: Colonel al-Karbala’i, Captain Husayn Rida, Lieutenant Jasim Hanun, and three puppet soldiers. Another 11 puppet troops were wounded in the blast, including Major ‘Abd al-Hasan Farhan.

The correspondent reported that US troops immediately began to race to the scene of the attack but an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by their column at the al-Qassabin crossroads opposite the Hajji ‘Ali stores, destroying a US vehicle. At the time of reporting the precise nature and extent of US casualties were unknown, but eyewitnesses confirmed that one American vehicle was destroyed and that a number of American troops were evacuated by ambulance to the US base set up in the former asphalt works in the city.

The occupation forces imposed a blockade around Tall ‘Afar and put the city under a severe curfew after the attacks, and the city remained locked down as of the time of reporting.

Al-Mawsil.

Resistance fighters ambush puppet police in al-Mawsil.

In a dispatch posted at 10:45am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet police clashed with Iraqi Resistance fighters in the northern Iraqi city of al-Mawsil. In the course of the fighting puppet police combed randomly through areas of the city, wounding two civilians.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a group of Resistance men attacked a puppet police patrol in the al-Ma‘arid area of eastern al-Mawsil, sparking a gun battle that lasted for about 15 minutes.

The puppet police responded to the attack by opening fire indiscriminately around the area, not in the direction from where the Resistance bullets were coming. The puppet police thereby wounded two local civilians who were later hospitalized for treatment.

Former captain in Iraqi army and his wife assassinated in al-Mawsil Thursday.

In a dispatch posted at 10:37am Makkah time Friday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that unknown armed men shot and killed a former officer in the Army of the Republic of Iraq along with his wife in southeastern al-Mawsil on Thursday.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that unknown gunmen driving a civilian car opened fire on Durayd ‘Abd al-Hadi Ahmad, who was a captain in the Iraqi army prior to the US invasion of the country in 2003. The gunmen also shot Ahmad’s wife in the attack, which took place in the al-Arabjiyah area of southeastern al-Mawsil. The gunmen left the scene leaving no indication of the reason for the killing. The source said that the puppet police delivered the bodies to the morgue of the forensic medicine department in al-Mawsil from where they will be handed to relatives.
