‘Anah.

Resistance bomb rips through US supply convoy south of ‘Anah Thursday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 5:49pm Makkah time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US supply truck hauling provisions in the Wadi al-Fuhaymah area south of ‘Anah, about 300km northwest of Baghdad, on Thursday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb totally destroyed the truck and burned up its cargo. The correspondent said that the bomb was planted by the side of the main road south of ‘Anah. It went off by a supply convoy that was apparently headed towards al-Qa’im near the Syrian border. It appeared that the truck was loaded with canned food and bottles of alcohol.

Al-Hadithah.

Resistance fighters shoot down unmanned spy plane over al-Hadithah during intermittent fighting with US troops Thursday.

In a dispatch posted at 6:44pm Makkah time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, Iraqi Resistance forces had shot down an unmanned US reconnaissance plane over al-Hadithah. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying the plane came under intense fire as it cruised over the ar-Rifaq neighborhood of southern al-Hadithah. The downing came at a time when intermittent combat was underway in the neighborhood between US and Resistance forces.

Resistance bomb blasts American column west of al-Hadithah Thursday morning leaving one US soldier reported killed.

In a dispatch posted at 12:39pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road linking al-Hadithah, 236km northwest of Baghdad, with ‘Anah to the west on Thursday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bomb, which had been planted by the side of the road, went off by a passing US column, severely damaging a Humvee and killing one American soldier and wounding at least two more of them. Motorists who were driving on the road behind the American column said that they had to go off the road into the wilderness to search for some dirt path after the attack because the American troops responded to the explosion by shooting indiscriminately all around them.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance bomb blasts puppet “National Guard” patrol in al-Fallujah midday Thursday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:46pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, an Iraqi Resistance bomb had exploded by a patrol of Iraqi puppet “National Guards” in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the ash-Shurtah neighborhood as saying that the puppet “National Guards” first were manning a checkpoint in the neighborhood and then after about an hour they left it to patrol through the neighborhood. As they were moving along a side street, a Resistance bomb that had been planted by the side of the road exploded. Details of the extent of damage or casualties were unknown, however, because the puppet “Guards” were firing at any person or car that approached their position.

Resistance mortars pound US base near al-Fallujah Wednsday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:49am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a mortar barrage at the US military base northwest of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Wednesday.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in as-Saqlawiyah as saying that the Resistance shells blasted the US base that is located near the Technical Institute in as-Saqlawiyah. The witnesses said that the shelling set off violent explosions inside the US-occupied base and sent smoke billowing into the sky.

Hit.

US air strike destroys house in Hit; American troops take over another house in Hit, throwing residents out.

In a dispatch posted at 11:27am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US aircraft struck one house and ground troops occupied another home in the city of Hit, about 165km northwest of Baghdad on Wednesday afternoon and evening.

The Hit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the US aircraft attacked a house in the al-Itfa’ neighborhood of eastern Hit, completely destroying the home for no apparent reason. The eyewitnesses said that they did not know if the home was occupied or not.

Meanwhile witnesses also said that a US patrol occupied another house in the middle of the city. American troops took over the home of Faruq ‘Abd al-Khalaf on the main street in the al-‘Ummal neighborhood and deployed a number of US snipers atop its roof. The al-Khalaf family was forced to leave their home and find refuge with relatives when the Americans came in and took over without an prior warning or even explanation.

Baghdad.

Resistance blasts US headquarters in Baghdad’s al-Kazimiyah district with mortars.

In a dispatch posted at 1:55pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a mortar barrage at the former headquarters of Iraqi Military Intelligence in northern Baghdad, a facility that US forces have occupied and turned into one of their headquarters.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the US occupied facility in Baghdad’s al-Kazimiyah district was struck by seven 62mm mortar rounds. The sound of explosions could be heard in various parts of al-Kazimiyah and plumes of smoke rose over the US-occupied facility.

Ad-Dulu‘iyah.

US soldier reported killed by Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet in ad-Dulu‘iyah Thursday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12:32pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier in the city of ad-Dulu‘iyah, 97km north of Baghdad on Thursday morning. The ad-Dulu‘yah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a US foot patrol was moving down a lane in one of the northern neighborhoods of the city when one of the American soldiers took a direct hit in the face from a sharpshooter’s bullet, killing him instantly.

Tikrit.

Resistance fighters kill puppet police officer in northern Tikrit Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:12pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed a first lieutenant in the local puppet police in Tikrit on Wednesday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police in Tikrit as saying that Resistance men driving a civilian car opened fire with machine guns on the officer in the northern part of the city, killing him.

Bayji.

Resistance bomb targets puppet police in Bayji Wednesday.

In a dispatch posted at 11:55am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a puppet police patrol in the middle of Bayji about 200km north of Baghdad on Wednesday.

The Bayji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the bomb, which had been planted by the side of the main road in the middle of the city blew up after non on Wednesday as a puppet police patrol drove past. The explosion destroyed one patrol vehicle, killing one puppet policeman and seriously wounding three more of them.

Ba‘qubah.

Resistance blasts joint US-Iraqi puppet army base near Ba‘qubah Thursday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12:19pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired a barrage of 62mm mortar shells into the headquarters jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet troops in the Habhab area of Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad on Thursday morning. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bombardment set off explosions inside the facility and sent plumes of smoke and flame rising inside the base. Witnesses said that US helicopters could be seen hovering over the base after the attack.
