Several killed by Kabul suicide bomber

At least 12 puppet "interior staff" have been killed and scores injured in a suicide bomb attack in Kabul, the Afghan capital. The blast occurred outside the so call "interior ministry" on Saturday.
The remote-controlled bomb detonated among a crowd of ministry of "interior staff" waiting at the compound's gate, according to puppet officials.
"As a result of the explosion near the ministry of interior compound, 12 people are dead and 42 wounded," Zemarai Bashary, a spokesman from the puppet "ministry", said.
The total toll was not immediately clear as the casualties were taken to several hospitals around the city and other officials gave different figures.
The karzai "security services" and a witness said that the attack was carried out by a suicide bomber.
"Most of the casualties are police officers and minister of interior workers."
Taliban spokesman, Dr. Muhammad Hanif, accepted responsibility of the explosion in Kabul and said that it was a remote controlled bomb explosion which left a huge number of policemen dead
There have been several suicide blasts in the heavily secured capital this year. One of the largest was a powerful car bomb that destroyed 2 US occupation vehicles and killed all the soldiers abord soldiers on September 8. Witnesses counted at least 6 American bodies laying on the ground and couldn't count the bodies of American in the two vehicles.
An improvised explosive device south of the city killed an Italian soldier on Tuesday.
Meanwhile Taliban on Saturday (Sept. 30) reported the killing of four policemen in Khost province last night. A fierce gun battle occurred between Taliban and puppet police after Taliban fighters attacked a post in Gurbaz district of Khost province last night, Dr. Muhammad Hanif, spokesman of Taliban told Afghan Islamic Press. He added that four policemen were killed in the attack while the post was completely destroyed.
