Resistance fighters assault US tanks in Hit, killing a reported seven US troops Wednesday night.
In a bulletin posted at 8:53pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, Iraqi Resistance forces had fired anti-tank rockets at two US tanks in the city of Hit, about 170km west of Baghdad, setting them ablaze.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the two vehicles were still on fire in the streets at the time of reporting. Standing near the burning vehicles, the correspondent said that seven American troops had been killed in the Resistance attack and five more of them wounded.
US forces were surrounding the Hit crossroads where the two burning vehicles were sitting as the sound of violent gun battles could be heard from the al-‘Askari neighborhood where Resistance fighters were engaged in combat with US occupation troops.
Kubaysah.
US forces carry out mass raids, arrests in Kubaysah.
In a dispatch posted at am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces carried out a campaign of raids, searches, and arrests in eastern Kubaysah, about 185km northwest of Baghdad.
The Kubaysah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that US troops raided the Industrial Zone and al-‘Askari neighborhood in the eastern part of the city, arresting 20 local people without explanation. The Americans took the abductees off to their base west of the city.
The nearby city of Hit, about 20km east of Kubaysah is currently tense after two days of killings of local civilians by US troops.
Ar-Ramadi.
Resistance car bomber blasts US column in ar-Ramadi Wednesday evening, leaving five American troops reported dead.
In a dispatch posted at 7:30pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter had driven an explosives-laden car into a US column in the middle of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses who were near the scene of the explosion on al-Mahkamah Street (“Courthouse Street”) as saying that the blast totally destroyed the US Humvee and left five American troops who were aboard it dead.
A local medical source reported that two civilian passers by who happened to be in the area were also killed in the attack.
Al-Fallujah.
Three US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing in al-Fallujah Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 2:06pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in northern al-Fallujah at 9am local time Wednesday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb that had been planted by the side of the road went off by a patrol near the sheep market in the al-Jawlan neighborhood of northern al-Fallujah.
Witnesses said that the blast completely destroyed a US Humvee, killing three US troops and wounding two more. Afterwards, US troops closed off the area.
Bodies of two dead puppet policemen found in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 10:17am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi puppet police discovered the bodies of two dead puppet policemen in two locations in the city of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that residents of the al-Ba‘th neighborhood in the middle of he city reported the presence of a body dumped in one of the roads. Puppet police who responded to the call identified it as one of their own. The source said that the body of another dead puppet policeman was found in the ar-Rusafi neighborhood of western al-Fallujah.

Resistance bomb rips through US patrol in western Baghdad’s al-‘Amiriyah district midday Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 5:12pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in western Baghdad’s al-‘Amiriyah district at midday Wednesday.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the bomb that had been planted by the side of a road in the al-‘Amiriyah district went off by a passing American patrol, severely damaging a US Humvee and inflicting various wounds on one American soldier.
But witnesses in the same area said that several Americans had been wounded in the explosion, not just one. After the blast, US forces closed off the area, as is their usual practice.
Resistance car bomber blasts puppet police patrol in Baghdad Wednesday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 4:07pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a puppet police patrol in the Zuyunah neighborhood of eastern Baghdad on Wednesday morning.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the Resistance fighter drove his car bmob into a puppet police patrol in the Zuyunah district, heavily damaging a patrol vehicle and killing one puppet policeman and wounding four more of them in varying degrees of severity.

Samarra’.
US locks down Samarra’ at dawn Wednesday, begins searches and raids.
In a dispatch posted at 4:08pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops together with their Iraqi puppet army allies closed down the city of Samarra’, about120km north of Baghdad, and carried out mass raids and there beginning at dawn on Wednesday.
The Samarra’ correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that American forces backed by puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Magahwir)” imposed a curfew and sealed off the city completely at dawn. They then began meticulous raids and searches in the neighborhood of as-Sikak, al-Mu‘tasim, and al-Jubayriyah in search for what they called “wanted men.”
A number of witnesses reported that they could hear machine gun fire and saw clouds of dense smoke billowing up from various districts in the city.
Bayji.
US issues order to lock down Bayji for 10 days.
In a dispatch posted at 8:52pm Makkah time Wednesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier US occupation forces declared a curfew in the city of Bayji to last for 10 days beginning on Thursday, 9 November.
The Bayji correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the US occupation troops declared the curfew without explanation. In addition, the US is sealing off the city, banning all entry to and exit from Bayji for 10 days.
Resistance bomb leaves four US troops reported dead in Bayji.
In a dispatch posted at 2:!4pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on al-Bank Stret in the middle of Bayji, about 200km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the bomb had been planted by the side of the street and that it went off by a passing US patrol, damaging a Humvee and killing four American troops who were aboard it.
The source said that US forces threw a security cordon around the area and it was still in force at the time of writing. An American helicopter was seen landing at the scene after the attack.
Diyala Province.
Al-Miqdadiyah.
Eleven civilians killed in US attack on al-Qadiriyah near al-Miqdadiyah.
In a dispatch issued Wednesday, the Association of Muslim Scholars in Iraq reported that US occupation forces used heavy artillery in a savage bombardment of the area of al-Qadiriyah in the al-Miqdadiyah area, about 85km northeast of Baghdad. The American shelling began at 2am local time Wednesday and lasted until dawn.
The Association statement said that the US occupation forces “confirm their barbarious activities and bloody massacres in which they used heavy and highly destructive weapons, continuing the barrage for long hours and that they killed those whom they had arrested, as a result of which 11 people were martyred and their crops burned and their houses destroyed.”
The Association denounced the American attack and called on the world to intervene to stop such wanton bloodletting.
The Association also condemned the arrest of Shaykh ‘Umar Muzhir ‘Abd al-Khaliq, an Association member and Imam of the al-‘Imraniyah village mosque.
Resistance fighters kill puppet police in al-Miqdadiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 10:47am by the Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq on their website, it was reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters killed three puppet policemen in the city of al-Miqdadiyah.
A source in the puppet security services said that four Resistance men in a car opened fire on a group of puppet police near their home in the al-Mu‘allimin neighborhood of the city, killing them immediately.

Resistance mortars pound US base north of al-Hillah Tuesday night.
The Association of Muslim Scholars of Iraq announced in a report posted on its website at 10:47am, 8 November 2006 that the Iraqi Resistance had fired a barrage of mortar rounds into the US “Kaslu” base north of the city of al-Hillah, located about 100km south of Baghdad late on Tuesday night. A source in the Babil puppet police said that plumes of smoke rose over base.

Resistance fighters clash with US troops in ar-Rashad, south of Kikruk Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:03pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that violent armed clashes took place between Iraqi Resistance fighters and US and Iraqi puppet army forces in ar-Rashad, about 50km south of Kirkuk in northern Iraq, on Wednesday. Two Resistance fighters were reported killed in the battle.
The Kirkuk correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that Resistance man opened fire on a group of US and Iraqi puppet troops near ar-Rashad. The joint US-Iraqi puppet army patrol returned fire sparking a gunbttle that lasted more than half an hour. The puppet police source claimed that two Resistance men were killed and one American and one Iraqi puppet soldier were wounded in varying degrees of severity.
Kirkuk.
US arrests 22 villagers in mass raids south of Kirkuk.
In a dispatch posted at 9:59am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops together with their Iraqi puppet police accomplices carried out raids, searches and arrests in a village south of Kirkuk, abducting 22 people.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US troops and various puppet police formations swept through the village of Barimjah south of Kirkuk. Witnesses said that the forces first surrounded the village and then raided the homes of the villagers, taking away 22 local residents.

Mortar rounds land in Teachers Institute in al-Basrah.
In a dispatch posted at 1:59am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three mortar rounds blasted into the Teachers’ Institute in the southern city of al-Basrah on Tuesday afternoon.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported an official spokesman for the Iraqi puppet police as saying that one student was killed and seven others were wounded in the barrage.
Eyewitnesses inside the institute said that most of the shell landed near the wall of the institute at the time when classes were in session while one shell landed outside the wall and wounded civilian passersby.
The correspondent note that the building of the puppet provincial militia abuts on that of the institute. It is therefore possible that the target of the barrage was the militia headquarters.
