Fierce fighting as Resistance attacks US forces in ar-Ramadi midday Saturday.
In a bulletin posted at 11:53am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that violent fighting was underway at that moment between Iraqi Resistance men and US occupation troops in ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from the scene of the battle that Resistance men using pipe rockets, machine guns and 62mm mortars were attacking a US position on the Old Courthouse Street in the city. The American position was on fire at the time.
Al-Fallujah.
Resistance fighters fire RPGs at puppet “National Guard” headquarters in al-Fallujah Saturday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 5:25pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked the headquarters of the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Saturday afternoon.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that armed men fired two rocket-propelled grenades at the as-Salam Hotel in the Industrial Zone of eastern al-Fallujah setting off a powerful explosion inside the building ミ currently occupied by the puppet “National Guard” and used as their headquarters.
Witnesses reported that Iraqi puppet troops responded to the attack by firing wildly but intensely for a long time after the attack.
Resistance bombards puppet police directorate in al-Fallujah.
In a dispatch posted at 4:05pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the al-Fallujah puppet police directorate in the city.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that several mortar shells blasted into the facility producing powerful explosions and sending smoke billowing into the sky.
Resistance forces battle US troops in al-Fallujah Saturday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 2:48pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce combat took place between Iraqi Resistance forces and US troops in downtown al-Fallujah on Saturday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that Resistance men armed with rocket-propelled grenades ambushed a US patrol in the al-Mu‘allimin neighborhood of the city at 10am local time Saturday morning, sparking a battle with light and medium weapons between the two sides that lasted about half an hour.
Resistance fighters attack puppet police headquarters in al-Fallujah Friday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 11:48am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that on Friday morning Iraqi Resistance forces attacked an observation tower at the puppet police directorate in al-Fallujah where the American military maintains an operations room in al-Fallujah, inflicting heavy damage on the structure.
The western al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a detachment of Resistance fighters in two civilian cars attacked the tower at the puppet police directorate in spite of the fact that the area is fortified and blocked off from the neighboring Old Garage area by concrete barricades. The Resistance men fired rocket-propelled grenades, striking the tower and causing heavy damage.
The American troops responded by firing randomly but intensively in the general direction where the attack came from. Afterwards, the correspondent reported, at 11:30am for no apparent reason the Americans arrested a number of worshipers who were heading to Friday prayer in the ‘Uthman ibn ‘Affan Mosque on Old Garage Street, not far from where the attack occurred.
Resistance assaults puppet “Iraqi National Guard” camp in al-Fallujah Friday night.
In a dispatch posted at 11:35am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces attacked an Iraqi puppet “National Guard” camp in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Friday night.
The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked a puppet “National Guard” in the ash-Shuhada’ al-Ula neighborhood near the railroad at about 9pm local time Friday night. The Resistance fired rocket-propelled grenades into the camp and then assaulted the camp with light and medium weapons prompting intensive return fire from the puppet regime troops in a gun battle that lasted about 15 minutes.

Three Resistance bombs rip through US patrol in Hit.
In a dispatch posted at 10:53am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by a US patrol in the city of Hit, about 170km northwest of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance men planted three bombs at the Hit Youth Center intersection in eastern Hit ミ a facility the US has occupied and turned into one of its headquarters.
The witnesses said that the three bombs went off by a US patrol, severely damaging a Humve and a troop transport. American troops sealed off the area immediately after the blasts, banning all movement there. The witnesses said they saw US troops evacuating their dead and wounded but were uncertain as to their number.
Abu Ghurayb.
Heavy fighting rages in Abu Ghurayb between Iraqi Resistance, US forces Saturday night.
In a bulletin posted at 8:16pm Makkah time Saturday nght, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that heavy fighting was underway at that hour between Iraqi Resistance forces and US occupation.
The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US military vehicles together with cars belonging to the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” had driven into the al-Hamdaniyah area and Resistance fighters were engaging in combat.
The correspondent reported that in its first hour, the Resistance had destroyed two US vehicles and three puppet “Shock Troop” vehicles on the main street near the house of Shaykh Damin ad-Darri, the Shaykh of the Zawbi‘ tribe.

In a dispatch posted at 6:12pm Makkah time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that one night before the scheduled announcement of the “verdict” in the US-run show “trial” of Iraqi President Saddam Husayn, the American-installed puppet “Prime Minister” Nuri al-Maliki had declared a curfew to begin at dawn on Sunday and to last until further notice.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the curfew will be in force in Baghdad and the provinces of Diyala and Salah ad-Din. The curfew is to constitute a complete ban on all motor traffic and pedestrian movement. All gatherings in residential areas are also banned and major shops and markets closed.
A spokesman for the American-installed puppet regime appeared on official television to announce the curfew and to declare that it was due to the planned announcement of the “verdict” on the Iraqi President, which is set for 10am local time Sunday morning.
The correspondent reported that on Saturday afternoon, US occupation troops and their puppet army allies began to deploy in predominantly Sunni areas of Baghdad. The puppet regime expects a violent popular reaction to the “verdict” of the American-run “court,” which is widely expected to include a death sentence.

On Tuesday, 31 October 2006, the Culture and Information Bureau of the Iraqi Baath Party issued a statement in which it declared that the life of Iraqi President Saddam Husayn and his comrades “is a red line that the occupation must not cross.”
The Baath said in its statement that it “forcibly warns the American administration against the consequences of harming the President and his comrades and declares that America will pay an enormous price such as it has never paid in all its history if the President is caused any harm.”
“This is absolutely not a threat,” the Baath statement said, “it is rather a statement of fact.”
The Baath declared: “Our Party demands that the American Administration immediately and unconditionally release the President and his comrades. That is one of the fundamental preconditions for any negotiation such as America is now feverishly striving to hold with the Party and the Iraqi National Resistance.”
“Accordingly,” the Baath statement emphasized, “any arm done to the President will close the door to any possible negotiations and a final resolution will be taken not to allow any American forces to leave in flight from Iraq unless thousands of bodies go out with them in plastic bags or every inch of soil is covered in their bodies strewn around the country. The world will then witness once again, but this time an even more humiliating disorganized and cowardly flight from the green earth in their aircraft amidst the intense artillery and rocket bombardments of the Resistance ミ a route greater than what took place in Viet Nam.”
Palestinian sources say pro-American sectarian militias have killed more than 900 Palestinian refugees under US occupation in Iraq.
In a dispatch posted at 6:28pm Makkah time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a number of Palestinians resident in Iraq had charged the former puppet “Interior Minister” ミ who currently is puppet “Finance Minister” Bayan Jabr Sulagh, as well as Jalal as-Saghir, a leader of one of the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian militias of being behind the murder of hundreds of Palestinian refugees in the country.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Palestinians as charging that Bayan Jabr Sulagh and Jalal as-Saghir had been leading a campaign of genocide against Palestinians in Iraq, aimed at killing or expelling them. A Palestinian source who asked not to be identified said that more than 900 Palestinians have been killed by the pro-American sectarian militias, and that among the victims were men, women, and children. High rewards are reportedly offered by the sectarian militias for the killing of Palestinians.
An estimated 34,000 Palestinians live in Iraq, many having come there following the Zionist occupation of most of Palestine in 1948.
Pro-American Shi‘i sectarian militias bombard Baghdad’s al-A‘zamiyah district Saturday evening.
In a bulletin posted at 6:50pm Makkah time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at that moment pro-American Shi‘i sectarian militias were heavily bombarding the predominantly Sunni district of al-A‘zamiyah with Katyusha rockets, and mortar shells.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported from al-A‘zamiyah that rockets and shells were landing in the area of Ra’s al-Hawash, on the Mosque of Abu Hanifah an-Nu‘man on al-Akhtal Street and ‘Umar ibn ‘Abd al-‘Aziz Street in the area. A large number of local residents had reportedly been killed or wounded in the sectarian, pro-US barrage and mosques in al-A‘zamiyah were using their loudspeaker systems to call on local residents to hurry to donate urgently needed blood.
In a dispatch posted at 8:25pm Makkah time Saturday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported medical sources in an-Nu‘man Hospital as well as guards at the Abu Hanifah Mosque as saying that as of that hour 12 people had been killed and 25 more wounded in the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian attack on al-A‘zamiyah.
Dr. Sarmad al-Hayyali of the city hospital told Mafkarat al-Islam that the pro-American sectarians fired five mortar rounds and four rockets into the Baghdad district of al-A‘zamiyah. The one hospital in the area was crowded with wounded victims and mosques were sill broadcasting calls on local people to help out with blood donations.
Resistance fighters in cars spray puppet police patrol with gunfire.
In a dispatch posted at 4:53pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces ambushed a puppet police patrol in southeastern Baghdad at midday Saturday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that Resistance men driving civilian cars opened fire on the puppet policemen with light and medium weapons in the streets surrounding the agricultural area in the az-Za‘faraniyah district of southeastern Baghdad. The source did not provide information as to the nature or extent of casualties.
Resistance fighters rocket US tank in Baghdad Saturday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 2:13pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier, Iraqi Resistance fighters fired a shoulder-launched rocket into a US tank on ‘Antar ibn Shaddad Square in downtown Baghdad’s al-A‘zamiyah district.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance attack set the tank ablaze and at the time of reporting the vehicle was still burning. US forces then entirely closed off the area where the attack took place and fired at anyone trying to approach, making an accurate assessment of the nature and extent of US losses impossible.
Resistance bombards US base in ar-Ridwaniyah.
In a dispatch posted at 11:31am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired S5K rockets at the US base set up in the Iraqi Presidential Palaces in the southern Baghdad district of ar-Ridwaniyah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported witnesses as saying that the rockets scored direct hits, setting off explosions that rocked the base and sent flames and plumes of smoke rising into the sky from inside.
Fierce fighting reported in Baghdad’s Madinat al-Hurriyah district Friday afternoon.
In a dispatch posted at 10:39am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting erupted between Iraqi Resistance men and US and Iraqi puppet troops in northwest Baghdad Friday afternoon.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that the combat began on Friday afternoon when Resistance men in a civilian car opened fire on an Iraqi puppet “National Guard” patrol in Madinat al-Hurriyah in northwest Baghdad. Later US troops and Iraqi puppet army soldiers became involved in the battle.
Residents of Madinat al-Hurriyah who witnessed the fighting said that US troops surrounded the area where the fighting took place and then deployed inside the area, storming several residential houses.

US killing of Iraqi family followed by general strike in at-Tarimiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:55pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that residents of at-Tarimiyah, about 30km north of Baghdad went on general strike on Saturday after US troops killed a local family in their car and following the sectarian killing of Shaykh Ahmad Rashid Khanjar al-Mashhadani a local religious leader.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that American soldiers opened fire on the family of the car carrying al-Hajj Isma‘il Muhammad al-Luhaybi and his family ミ a total of seven people as they were driving home from the wedding of al-Luhaybi’s nephew. Witnesses said that the Americans left fire burning in the stricken car, consuming the bodies of the women and children inside the vehicle.
The strike shut down government buildings and commercial shops in at-Tarimiyah, a suburb of Baghdad lying in southern Salah ad-Din Province.

US releases 20 prisoners in Ba‘qubah Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 3:50pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces released a group of 20 detainees whom they had been holding in the city of Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad, on Saturday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that the 20, residents of Ba‘qubah, had been held in US prisons.

Resistance ambush wounds two bodyguards of Iraqi puppet “Prime Minister” al-Maliki.
In a dispatch posted at 4:45pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance men equipped with light arms ambushed a puppet government car carrying four of puppet “Prime Minister” Nuri al-Maliki’s body guards in al-Yusufiyah, about 30km southwest of Baghdad at midday Saturday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that two of the guards were wounded to varying degrees and then taken to al-Yarmuk Hospital for treatment.
Al-Mahmudiyah.
Resistance car bomb goes off near puppet police station in al-Mahmudiyah.
In a bulletin posted at 11:58am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb had exploded a short while earlier near a puppet police station in al-Mahmudiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that an explosives-laden car blew up near the main puppet police station, which is located near the meat market. The blast killed or wounded a number of puppet policemen, but the exact number and nature of casualties was not known.

Resistance fighter shoots, wounds Iraqi puppet police sapper in Kirkuk.
In a dispatch posted at 3:42pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fighter shot and wounded an Iraqi puppet policeman as he was trying to disarm a Resistance bomb in the northern Iraqi city of Kirkuk.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that they received reports of a “suspicious object” at the an-Nasr and al-‘Uruba neighborhood intersection. When a puppet police patrol of sappers arrived and tried to disarm it, a Resistance marksman shot and wounded one of the puppet police. The source gave no details on the nature of the puppet policeman’s injuries nor on the fate of the “suspicious object.”

Resistance bomb targets US patrol in southwestern al-Mawsil Saturday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:49pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in southwestern al-Mawsil in northern Iraq on Saturday morning.
The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a puppet police source as saying that a Resistance bomb exploded by the American patrol near the Abu Tammam exchange in the al-Yarmuk section of the city. The source said that he had no confirmed information on the nature or extent of casualties or destruction, since the Americans had cordoned off the entire area and even the puppet police were not allowed in or informed by the Americans of their losses.

In a dispatch posted at 12:59pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the an-Najibiyah electric power station in the al-Karmah area north of al-Basrah in southern Iraq came under rocket attack during the night of Friday-Saturday, killing one Iraqi and wounding four Russian engineers.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Yusuf Muhammad al-Maliki, the director of the power station, as saying that four Katyusha rockets blasted into the area of the power station during the night. Two of the rockets hit the power station itself and two others struck housing belonging to the electric facility. One Iraqi was killed and a second injured. In addition, four Russian engineers, part of a team of 14 Russian technicians working under contract to maintain the station. One of the four suffered from serious injuries.
The an-Najibiyah electric power station was built by the Soviet Union in 1973 and initially generated 120 megawatts. After repeated upgrades, it now has a maximum output of 200 megawatts and actually generates 175 megawatts.
