In a dispatch posted at 2:03pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the US occupation headquarters set up in the former Technical Institute in as-Saqlawiyah, just north of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a fire erupted in the back part of the Institute after the 62mm and 82mm mortar shells blasted into the building.

US soldier reported killed in bombing in central al-Habbaniyah Saturday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 1:59pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US foot patrol in the al-Madani neighborhood, known as “as-Sisi” of central al-Habbaniyah, about 70km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb planted near the Spanish houses blew up by a US foot patrol killing one American and wounding a second. The correspondent reported the witnesses as saying that following the blast, from 9am to the time the correspondent filed his dispatch the Americans had kept the area sealed off.

Resistance attack on giant US armored vehicle in ar-Ramadi leaves five American troops reported dead.
In a dispatch posted at 10:30am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded under a giant US armored vehicle in the middle of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.
The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb exploded under a giant US armored vehicle that was halted on 17 Street in the middle of ar-Ramadi near the vegetable oil plant. The witnesses said that Resistance fighters then attacked the US vehicle with pipe rockets and machineguns. As a result of the combined attack, the vehicle was completely destroyed and the five American troops aboard it killed.

Resistance car bomb targets Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen in “Madinat as-Sadr.”
In a dispatch posted at 10:35am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance carbomb exploded by a a group of Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militiamen in the Madinat Saddam area of Baghdad, a district nicknamed “Madinat as-Sadr” after the American occupation in 2003. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the car bomb went off at a fuel station on ad-Dakhil Street amidst a group of Shi‘i sectarian gunmen on Saturday morning. The huge blast killed or wounded 50 gunmen, by preliminary count.

US troops arrest 17 in Samarra’ after dawn prayers Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 1:55pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces launched a campaign of arrests of worshippers as they emerged from mosques following the conclusion of the dawn prayers in the al-Hawish section of Samarra’, about 120km north of Baghdad early Saturday morning. The Samarra’ correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that US troops arrested more than 17 local residents after they came out of mosques following the early morning prayer. The arrested men were all led away to an unknown destination.

Resistance bomb blasts US vehicle in al-Mahmudiyah Saturday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 3:33pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a patrol of several American Humvees in al-Mahmudiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad, at 11am local time Saturday morning.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Gharir district of al-Mahmudiyah, where the attack took place, as saying that the explosion destroyed a US vehicle, killing or wounding four Americans who were aboard it. The witnesses said they observed as the American casualties were taken on stretchers to a US helicopter that landed on the scene to evacuate them.

Resistance bomb wounds puppet police in Kirkuk Friday evening.
In a dispatch posted at 11:42am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet police patrol in the city of Kiruk in northern Iraq, Friday evening. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police a ssaying that the bomb went off by a patrol of puppet “Rescue Police” on al-Kurnish Street in the middle of the city. The blast damaged several patrol vehicles and wounded two puppet policemen.

Resistance car bomber blasts into 11 US Marines in al-Mawsil just before sunset Saturday.
In a dispatch posted at 10:10pm Makkah time Saturday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a group of US troops in the middle of al-Mawsil in northern Iraq, just minutes before sunset Saturday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police in the city as saying that a Resistance fighter driving an explosives-laden car blasted into a gathering of about 11 US Marines near the Abu Tammam Exchange in the al-Yarmuk neighborhood of central al-Mawsil.
The source added that the Americans opened fire on the car as they saw it charging towards them, but the Resistance driver succeeded in driving into them and setting of his explosive payload, killing or wounding al 11 Americans. No specific information on how many were killed and how many wounded was available.
Resistance blasts provincial puppet police headquarters with heavy mortars in al-Mawsil Saturday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 2:02pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the puppet police directorate for Ninwa Province in the northern Iraqi city of al-Mawsil.
The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Resistance shells blasted the building located on the right bank (southwest side) of the Tigris River in the city. In response, early Saturday morning Iraqi puppet police had closed the Five Bridges over the river. It was only after 12 noon they finally opened two of the bridges.

In a dispatch posted at 11:50am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that fierce fighting between Iraqi Resistance men and US occupation troops erupted after an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by American soldiers in the northern Iraqi city of al-Mawsil Saturday morning.
The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that violent fighting broke out in the al-Matahin and al-Yarmuk neighborhoods of southwestern al-Mawsil at 9:30am local time after a Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol. Witnesses said that the blast disabled an American Humvee, killing one US soldier and wounding three more of them. Two more Americans were wounded in the ensuing combat.
The witnesses said that US helicopters flew in to hover at low altitudes and open fire indiscriminately during the fighting. Despite that, the Resistance men were able to withdraw without having suffered any casualties of their own. After the battle, American troops sealed off and surrounded the entire area, preventing residents from leaving their homes.

Resistance bomb targets British patrol in al-Basrah.
In a dispatch posted at 10:20pm Makkah time Saturday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a British patrol on the main street that runs past the offices of the puppet police command for al-Basrah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses from the British consulate who asked not to be named said that were thrown into confusion and dispatched more than 10 armored vehicles to the scene of the attack. They also cancelled a number of outer patrols during the day on Saturday because of the attack.
Meanwhile witnesses reported that British occupation troops on Saturday morning surrounded the main offices of the Shi‘i sectarian Muqtada as-Sadr movement in the city’s at-Tuwaysah district and searched several houses in the vicinity from which they confiscated some weapons. Although the as-Sadr Movement is a part of the puppet regime installed in Iraq by the US and British occupation, its methods and approach have been a source of frequent friction with as-Sadr’s Anglo-American allies.
Denmark admits one of its soldiers killed in Resistance bombing in al-Basrah area.
In a dispatch posted at 10:45pm Makkah time Saturday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Central Command of the Danish Army admitted that one of its occupation troops in Iraq had been killed and eight others wounded when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a Danish patrol in the al-Basrah area of southern Iraq.
Reuters, as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, reported a spokesman for the Danish occupation forces as confirming that one Dane was killed in the bomb blast and eight others wounded when three vehicles were hit as they were proceeding together along a road in the area of al-Basrah. One of the eight wounded Danish troops was severely injured the spokesman said, while the other seven were only “lightly” injured. Denmark, a NATO satellite country of the United States, has some 500 men in Iraq serving the American occupation.
