Fighting rages in ar-Ramadi just before midnight Tuesday-Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 11:45pm Makkah time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that at that moment Resistance men were battling US Marines on al-Muhafazah Street in ar-Ramadi, 110km west of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the sound of massive explosions and gunfire could be heard through out the city at that moment intermingled with the sound of a muezzin of a distant mosque chanting “Allahu akbar!” in support of the Resistance fighters.
Baghdad.
US troops raid Baghdad mosque during midday prayers Wednesday.
In a dispatch posted at 2:09pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a force of more than 20 US troops in four Humvees and armored vehicles stormed the Muluki Mosque in the al-‘Amiriyah section of Baghdad during midday prayers on Wednesday. The al-‘Amiriyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Americans surrounded and burst into the mosque during the prayer, (specifically, during the fourth rak‘ah).
They raided the Imam’s room and other rooms in the mosque but did not go into the prayer hall. But they then waited for the worshippers to finish the prayers and start to go out and then began to interrogate the Imam and a number of regular worshippers, asking whether armed men ever come to the mosque to pray. Meanwhile the Americans also questioned a large number of the worshippers, checking their IDs and asking them what work they did. No one was arrested. The intimidating and provocative operation lasted about half an hour.
Bodies of 41 more Sunni victims of savage torture and murder found in Shi‘i sections of Baghdad as US-Zionist drive to partition Iraqi on sectarian and ethnic lines continues.
In a dispatch posted at 1:56pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that medical sources in Baghdad had disclosed that the bodies of 41 severely tortured and murdered Sunnis had been discovered in various, predominantly Shi‘i sections of Baghdad as the effort to implement the US-Zionist plan to split Iraq along sectarian religious and ethnic lines continues.
The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Forensic Medical Center in the occupied Iraqi capital as saying that the bodies of 41 Sunnis had had been found in the city. Among the dead were Imams of Sunni mosques and observant Sunni religious people. The bodies were found in the districts of as-Sadr, ash-Shu‘lah, al-Bayya‘, Baghdad al-Jadidah, at-Tubji, and one part of al-Kazimiyah ミ all largely Shi‘i districts. The source said that every one of the bodies, without exception, had been subjected to unprecedentedly savage torture.
Victims were been burned with hot metal implements and had their finger- and toe-nails pulled out. The Imams of mosques had their tongues cut out. Five of the victims, all no more than 18 years of age, had been sexually assaulted. The source refuted absurd claims made by the puppet regime spokesman ‘Ali ad-Dabbagh that the dead were victims of al-Qa‘idah, noting that all were found in Shi‘i neighborhoods where Sunnis are no longer admitted.
The latest savage torture-murders of Sunnis are consistent with a long-recognized pattern of torture and murder by Shi‘i sectarian death squads loyal to the US occupation forces and the puppet regime intent on terrorizing and purging Sunnis from parts of Iraq in order to facilitate splitting the country into small feuding sectarian states.
Efforts to split Iraq along religious and ethnic lines ミ which often are masked under language about forming an Iraqi “federation” ミ are consistent with plans hatched by US and Zionist politicians and reflected recently by Leslie Gelb (President Emeritus of the US Council on Foreign Relations) in “The Three-State Solution” published in The New York Times on 25 November 2003, in the article by Gelb and US Democratic Senator Joseph Biden in “Unity through Autonomy in Iraq,” in The New York Times on 1 May 2006. Banking on splitting the Shi‘ah in Iraq from the rest of the country was a cornerstone of the neo-Conservative strategy laid out in “A Clean Break” a paper drawn up by American Zionist government officials Richard Perle, Douglas Feith, David Wurmser, and Paul Wolfowitz in 1996 for the then Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Then in 2000 the neo-Conservative Project for a New American Century wrote Rebuilding America’s Defenses on the basis of the “Clean Break.”
But before the recent period, the idea of “the dissolution of Iraq into a Shi‘ite state, a Sunni state and the separation of the Kurdish part” was voiced by veternan Zionist military correspondent Ze’ev Schiff in Ha'aretz on 2 June 1982 and was a part of the divide-and-rule strategy laid out by Zionist writer Oded Yinon in his “Strategy for Israel in the 1980s,” published in Kivunim (Directions), A Journal for Judaism and Zionism, published by the World Zionist Organization in occupied Jerusalem in February 1982. (It was translated by the late anti-Zionist writer and activist Israel Shahak and is widely available.)
Resistance car bomber blasts puppet police checkpoint near ad-Durah refinery.
In a dispatch posted at 12:27pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a puppet police checkpoint in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah. Witnesses in the area said that the blast killed four puppet policemen and wounded another 10.
New pro-American judge expels President Saddam Husayn from courtroom in show “trial” in Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 10:35am Makkah time Wednesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the show “trial” of Iraqi President Saddam Husayn and six other Iraqi leaders resumed in Baghdad on Wednesday under a new judge, after the US-installed Iraqi “Prime Minister” Nuri al-Maliki sacked the previous judge for not being sufficiently supportive of the American occupation’s line.
Reuters, as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam, reported that when the new judge, Muhammad al-‘Arribi, took over the “trial” on Wednesday, all the Iraqi leaders “on trial” were present in the courtroom. But when the session began, all the members of the Saddam Husayn legal defense team withdrew in protest at the puppet regime’s imposition of a biased judge in place of judge ‘Abdallah ‘Ali ‘Allush who had been impartial.
The Iraqi President, Saddam Husayn, for his part refused to be seated at the beginning of the session and the new “judge” al-‘Arribi therefore ordered the President expelled from the courtroom.
US-installed puppet “Prime Minister” Nuri al-Maliki replaced Judge ‘Abdallah ‘Ali ‘Allush, who had presided over nine court sessions, after the latter acknowledged that the President of Iraq, Saddam Husayn, had not been a dictator. The seven Iraqi leaders have been “brought to trial” by the American-installed puppet regime on “charges” of “genocide” in what they refer to as the al-Anfal Campaign of 1988 in which it is claimed 182,000 Kurds were killed or “went missing” after an alleged poisoned gas attack on pro-American Kurdish-separatist insurgents.
Judge ‘Abdallah ‘Ali ‘Allush’s remarks raised fears among the American occupation authorities and their various sectarian and separatist allies that a verdict of “innocent” might be brought, in a trial that would add further weight to the evidence indicating that the poisoned gas used in Halabjah had been spread by Iranian, not Iraqi forces.
Mafkarat al-Islam obtains personal file of new American-backed judge al-‘Arribi.
In a dispatch posted at 4pm Makkah time Wednesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that it had obtained the file on the background of the new pro-American judge appointed by the puppet regime to preside in the show “trial” of Iraqi President Saddam Husayn and other Iraqi leaders being held prisoner by the American occupation forces.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the file as saying that Muhammad ‘Arribi Khalfiyah al-Majid is a Shi‘i from al-Basrah born in 1960. He graduated from a preparatory school in 1982 but was rejected by the First Iraqi Military College because of his record of bad conduct inconsistent with the requirements for candidates to the military college, according to security information from his residential area.
According to Mafkarat al-Islam, The late Staff Major General Ahmad ‘Abd as-Salam penned a note in the margin of ‘Arribi’s application to the military college, stating that he was a homosexual who raised pigeons and was unfit for the Iraqi army.
After being turned down by the military college, Muhammad ‘Arribi worked in his father’s restaurant known as the al-‘Aza’im Restaurant in Baghdad’s as-Sa‘dun district, a facility that is still in operation. The record indicates that he worked for his father taking care of the customer’s bills until his father caught him stealing from the till when he was out of the restaurant and made him serve as a waiter and buss boy.
‘Arribi continued to work as a waiter and buss boy for five years until he was jailed for a year after being convicted of robbing an Egyptian who also worked in the restaurant. Upon his release, he entered the Legal Department of the Popular Heritage College where he completed his legal degree with a low but passing grade of “Acceptable” (51 percent).
Called up to serve in the military reserves in 1999 (a two-month stint), ‘Arribi decided to dodge the service. He left home and went off instead to join the Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigades, then being trained in Iran by the Iranian military. He was transported to Tehran where he went to work in the headquarters of the Badr Brigade commander.
‘Arribi returned to Baghdad with the Badr Brigades after the American occupation. There he began exacting “revenge” on everyone he thought had had a hand in his imprisonment and other “suffering.” Mafkarat al-Islam reported that ‘Arribi’s file indicates that he killed a 60-year old tea vendor who, ‘Arribi claimed, had told his father that he was stealing from the restaurant till. He also killed a professor who taught in his law school whom ‘Arribi blamed for keeping his grades low.
At the time when the US-installed Shi‘i sectarian leader Ibrahim al-Ja‘fari was puppet “Prime Minister,” a time regarded widely as the worst since the Americans had occupied the country, ‘Arribi was given work as a “General Director” in the former Palace of Tashrifat in the high security area around the Republican Palace, the area dubbed the “Green Zone” by the Americans.
Then on Wednesday, 20 September 2006, he surprised Iraqis in general, and in particularly those who knew him, when he took his seat as “judge” in the show trial of Iraqi President Saddam Husayn.

The bullet struck the American in the fact, killing him instantly.
Witnesses said that the other soldiers in the patrol were caught by surprise and shock and attempted to pull the body of their dead companion to a safe place, but the Resistance marksman fired off a second shot, hitting one of the Americans in the neck and killing him as well.
