Resistance fighters clash with puppet police in al-Fallujah Tuesday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12:09pm Makkah time midday Tuesday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters battled Iraqi puppet police in al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad on Tuesday morning.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the fighting erupted on Martyrs Cemetery Road in the market area of the city at about 8:30am local time. Two puppet policemen were wounded in the fighting. The correspondent reported that the Resistance men withdrew after the clash having sustained no losses of their own. Al-Fallujah has witnessed a significant upsurge in Resistance attacks on US troops and puppet “National Guards” in recent days.

Resistance bomb destroys US armored vehicle in Hit as Resistance operations there continue for third straight day.

In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol as it drove down a road leading to an American check point at the western entrance to the city of Hit, about 170km northwest of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that the bomb totally destroyed a US armored vehicle, killing or wounding all the Americans aboard. The attack took place on the third consecutive day of Resistance attacks on US troops in the western Iraqi city of Hit.

Resistance car bomber blasts puppet “National Guard” checkpoint near Abu Ghurayb.

In a dispatch posted at 12:17pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a checkpoint manned by Iraqi puppet “National Guards” near the town of Abu Ghurayb, about 30km west of Baghdad.

The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the car bomb went of at a checkpoint near the Abu Ghurayb ﾐ Khan Darri Bridge on the highway that runs from Baghdad to western Iraq. Witnesses said that the blast heavily damaged the checkpoint, killing at least four of the puppet forces and wounding more of them. No more specific details on the nature or extent of casualties were available because US and Iraqi puppet forces quickly closed the area off.

Bomb scare prompts US to close “Green Zone,” search cars near US embassy.

In a dispatch posted at 5:40pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces had closed the top-security area around the Republican Palace in central Baghdad ﾐ the area dubbed the “Green Zone” by the Americans ﾐ after receiving word that an Iraqi Resistance car bomb was somewhere inside the area. Heightened security measures were also being taken in anticipation of such an attack.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet security rescue services in the district of as-Salihiyah, which is adjacent to the “Green Zone” as saying that the Americans had received information that an explosives laden car was somewhere near the American embassy. As a result, all cars parked in the area of the embassy gate were being searched and examined by US security personnel.

Resistance car bomber blasts puppet police station in western Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 12:19pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a puppet police station in Baghdad.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the car bomber detonated his payload at the puppet police station that is next to the highway in the al-‘Amil district in the west of the occupied Iraqi capital. The explosion inflicted heavy damage on the building, but no details on the nature or extent of casualties were available, as the puppet police closed off the entire area.

Iraqi journalist murdered by pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigades in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 10:21am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that pro-American Badr Brigade Shi‘i sectarian gunmen shot and killed the journalist Ahmad Riyad al-Karbuli, who worked for the Baghdad TV station in Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that al-Karbuli was gunned down as he was heading to work at the TV station, which is aligned with the Iraqi Sunnis.

The witnesses said that al-Karbuli had received numerous threats, telling him to halt his work with Baghdad Television, a satellite station that reports on the murders regularly committed by the Shi‘i sectarian militia death squads. The witnesses said that the Badr Brigade gunmen once raided al-Karbuli’s home but on that occasion they only threatened him, saying openly that they would kill him if he did not stop working for the television station.

Four US troops reported killed in high-powered bomb attack in Ba‘qubah Tuesday afternoon.

In a bulletin posted at 3:35pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a high-explosive Iraqi Resistance bomb that had been placed in a sewer drain in the middle of a street blew up under a US military vehicle in the at-Tahrir section of Ba‘qbuah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a traffic warden who was on the scene at the time of the explosion and was slightly injured by flying shrapnel as saying that the blast totally destroyed the American vehicle and that he saw the US soldier who had been atop the vehicle before the explosion in the middle of the sidewalk where he had been blown by the force of the blast. His body had been torn apart. In all four US troops were killed in the bombing.

The correspondent reported that US troops were at the time of reporting surrounding the area where the attack occurred. The Americans raided and arrested shopkeepers in the area, abducting 12 local people after the blast.

Resistance blasts US base near Ba‘qubah with mortars.

In a dispatch posted at 12:23pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired seven 82mm mortar rounds into the US military base located north of Ba‘qubah. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Resistance blasted the Ibn Firnas base, which is occupied by the US troops, setting off seven explosions one after the other inside the facility. Plumes of smoke then billowed up from the base.

Resistance mortars blast US consulate in al-Hillah Tuesday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:33pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five 82mm mortar rounds into the US consulate in al-Hillah, about 100km south of Baghdad on Tuesday. The a-Hillah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that plumes of smoke could be seen rising from the building as US forces rushed to seal off the American consular headquarters and helicopters flew in to prowl the skies over the area.

Resistance car bomber blasts US patrol in al-Mawsil Tuesday afternoon; four American troops believed dead.

In a dispatch posted at 7:55pm Makkah time Tuesday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter drove an explosives-laden car into a patrol of four US Humvees in al-Mawsil on Tuesday afternoon.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Captain Khayri ‘Izz ad-Din Mustaff of the city puppet police as saying that the Resistance fighter blew up the car by the US patrol near a fuel station in the ‘Adan neighborhood in eastern al-Mawsil at about 4:45pm local time Tuesday afternoon. Captain Mustaff said that the blast destroyed the Humvee, killing all the Americans aboard it, estimated to be four soldiers. US forces completely surrounded the area after the attack and an American ambulance showed up on the scene.

Resistance bomb destroys American Bradley armored vehicle leaving five US troops reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 5:56pm Makkah time Tuesday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that two Iraqi Resistance bombs exploded by a US Bradley armored vehicle, completely destroying it and killing its crew of five American soldiers.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-Yarmuk section of western al-Mawsil as saying that two bombs that had been planted near each other in on place by the side of the road blew up simultaneously by a US Bradley armored vehicle, totally destroying it and killing the five American troops who were inside.

The witnesses said that two of the soldiers were burned to charcoal inside the vehicle. The bodies of three other Americans were pulled from the vehicle before burning up. At the time of reporting, US forces had sealed off the entire neighborhood and helicopters were prowling the skies above the area.

Resistance bomb destroys US Humvee in southwestern al-Mawsil.

In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the al-Matahin (flour mills) area of southwestern al-Mawsil, near the Abu Tamam exchange. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the northern Iraqi city as saying that the bomb completely destroyed a Humvee, killing for wounding all the Americans aboard. Afterwards, US troops surrounded and sealed off the area where the attack had occurred.

Resistance bomb targets puppet police in al-Mawsil.

In a dispatch posted at 10:13am Makkah time Tuesday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet police patrol in al-Mawsil in northern Iraq. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the bomb went off by the side of the road near the northern car park in the city. The explosion nearly completely destroyed one of the patrol vehicles and wounded two of the puppet policemen, one of them severely.

Resistance blasts British, Iranian consulates in al-Basrah.

In a dispatch posted at 7pm Makkah time Tuesday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported sources in the Iraqi puppet police and a British occupation spokesman as saying that Iraqi Resistance forces fired rockets and mortar rounds at the British and Iranian consulates in the southern Iraqi city of al-Basrah. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported the Iraqi puppet police as saying that two rockets struck the outer walls of the Iranian consulate damaging three police guard vehicles.

Meanwhile, mortar rounds blasted the British consulate building located inside the complex that also houses a British military base and offices of the United Nations agencies. Agence France Presse (AFP) as monitored by Mafkarat al-Islam reported that that one of the shells landed inside the complex. A British spokesman admitted that “this sort of attack happens from time to time, every four or five days.”
