Three US troops reported killed in Resistance ambush in al-Khalidiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:42pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters prepared an ambush for a US column in the al-Bu ‘Ubayd area north of al-Khalidiyah, about 80km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the area as saying that Resistance men equipped with light arms and rocket launchers ambushed a US column when it pulled onto the main street in al-Bu ‘Ubayd. The witnesses said that the Resistance men destroyed one Humvee and disabled a second, killing three US troops and wounding four more of them. The Resistance fighters then withdrew from the area having suffered no losses of their own.

Al-Fallujah.

Journalist abducted by puppet regime security forces from funeral of his brother as US-installed “Government” continues repression of journalists.

Journalists in occupied Iraq are reporting that the US-installed puppet regime appears to have begun a campaign of repression and intimidation against journalists in the country, even those writing for the news media based in the west. The Iraqi journalist Gulshan al-Bayati, a contributor to the London-based Arabic newspaper al-Hayat was arrested by the puppet “Interior Ministry” on 11 September.

She was released two days later, but then it was reported that Dr. Fadil a-Badrani, Iraqi correspondent for Reuters News Agency, was arrested upon his arrival at the funeral of his brother in al-Fallujah on Thursday morning, 14 September. Al-Badrani’s brother had been killed by US occupation troops in al-Fallujah, according to an announcement published by the patriotic website alBasrah.net.

Resistance bomb leaves US soldier reported dead in al-Fallujah Thursday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 11:20am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main road in the middle of al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Fallujah as ssaying that the bomb opposite the health complex in the middle of the city went off by a passing US patrol, completely destroying a US Humvee and killing one American soldier and wounding three more. At the time of reporting American troops were still surrounding the area.

Resistance bomb blasts US patrol in eastern al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 10am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military patrol on the main road in the al-‘Askari neighborhood of eastern al-Fallujah, about 60km west of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-‘Askari as saying that the bobm went off by a US patrol on al-Muhit Street, destroying a Humvee and seriously wounding four American soldiers. After the attack US troops arrested five boys who were playing football near the scene at the time of the attack.

Resistance bomb in ad-Durah leaves US soldier reported killed Thursday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 12:45pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol in the ash-Shaykh Salsal area in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah at 9:15am local time Thursday morning. The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Bulat ash-Shuhada’ puppet police station in ad-Durah as saying that the bomb went off under the al-Kut Highway bridge at the end of ad-Durah. Witnesses said that the blast destroyed a US vehicle and killed one American soldier and wounded three more of them.

Resistance fighters kill two pro-American Badr Brigade Shi‘i sectarian gunmen in northern Baghdad Thursday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 11:14am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed two pro-American Shi‘i sectarian militiamen in the al-Hurriyah area of northern Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Hurriyah as saying that Resistance men armed with machineguns shot and killed two Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigade gunmen on Thursday morning and then immediately left the area.

Resistance bomb targets Iraqi puppet army column in at-Tarimiyah early Thursday.

In a dispatch posted at 1:05pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by an Iraqi puppet army column on the main road in at-Tarimiyah, about 30km north of Baghdad, on the way to al-Mushahadah, at dawn Thursday. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the bomb set one Hino troop transport vehicle ablaze, killing three Iraqi puppet troops, and wounded three more of them.

Resistance bombards joint US-Iraqi puppet “Shock Troop” headquarters in Samarra’.

In a dispatch posted at 12:48pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired five 82mm mortar rounds into the headquarters jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet “Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” in the middle of Samarra’, about 120km north of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Samarra’ as saying that the mortar shells scored direct hits on the joint headquarters, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

Resistance pounds US base with Katyusha rockets.

In a dispatch posted at 11:10am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three medium-range Katyusha rockets into the US-occupied al-Bakr Air Base ﾐ dubbed “Camp Anaconda” by the Americans, about 70km north of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the Yathrib area near the base as saying that the barrage set off violent explosions inside the facility and sent plumes of smoke billowing into the sky.

Resistance kills two pro-American Peshmergah gunmen, confiscating documents on Iraqi prisoners of US occupation forces.

In a dispatch posted at 7:59pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a Super Royale vehicle that was carrying two pro-American Peshmergah gunmen who worked as guides and companions of US occupation soldiers in as-Siniyah, near Tikrit, about 180km north of Baghdad on Wednesday evening.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistance men, armed with machine guns killed the two Peshmergah gunmen instantly. They then hauled the bodies out of the car and confiscated their American pistols and took their identity cards, and the documents in their possession ﾐ papers dealing with Iraqis being held prisoner by the US occupation forces.

Ba‘qubah.

Resistance fighters attack puppet police patrol on al-Wathbah Square in Ba‘qubah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:05am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters attacked a puppet police patrol in Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police in the city as saying that Resistance men armed with light and medium weapons attacked the puppet police patrol at al-Wathbah Suare in Ba‘qubah, destroying a patrol vehicle and killing two of the puppet policemen and wounding two more of them.

Tall ‘Afar.

Resistance bomber with explosive belt attacks US-Iraqi puppet army checkpoint in Tall ‘Afar.

In a dispatch posted at 6:22pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance fida’i fighter wearing an explosive belt blew himself up at a checkpoint jointly manned by US and Iraqi puppet army forces in the city of Tall ‘Afar at 4pm local time Thursday afternoon. The Tall ‘Afar correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that two US Marines and four Iraqi puppet army troops were either killed or wounded in the attack. The source said that the area was sealed off after the attack.

Resistance bombards puppet army headquarters in Tall ‘Afar.

In a dispatch posted at 10:25am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired three 82mm mortar rounds into the Iraqi puppet army headquarters in Tall ‘Afar west of al-Mawsil in northern Iraq. The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Tall ‘Afar as saying that the barrage sent plumes of smoke rising from the facility.
