American air strike kills family of five in ar-Ramadi Saturday evening.

In a bulletin posted at 7:50pm Makkah time Saturday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that five Iraqis, including a woman and three children, had been killed in a US airstrike on the al-Bu ‘Ali Jasim village north of ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a powerful explosion had rocked the area minutes earlier. It had become clear that it was the result of an airstrike by a US fighter bomber that targeted the home of al-Hajj Jasim Mukhallif al-‘Alliyawi in the al-Bu ‘Ali Jasim area.

The attack killed al-Hajj Jasim’s family, including his wife and tow of their children Sa‘d (aged five years) and Muhammad (age two) as well as their daughter who was only four days old.

At the time of reporting the residents of the area were digging the bodies of the victims out from under the rubble of their house.

Resistance ambush east of ar-Ramadi leaves six US troops reported dead.

In a dispatch posted at 10:05am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed a column of US troops on a farm road in the al-Bu ‘Ubayd area east of ar-Ramadi, which is about 110km west of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Bu ‘Ubayd as saying tha the attack began when an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by the American column, disabling one US armored vehicle.

Resistance fighters armed with rocket launchers and medium weapons pounced on the column after it came to a halt, destroying three US Humvees and killing at least six American soldiers and wounding another three of them.

Al-Qa’im.

US warplanes strike desert areas along Syrian border.

In a bulletin posted at 6:05pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier US warplanes had struck the strip of land on the border separating Iraq from Syria.

The al-Qa’im correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that more than five areas along the border in the vicinity of the village of Makr adh-Dhib village on the Syrian border were hit by US air strikes that sent clouds of smoke rising into the sky.

The correspondent reported that the reason for the American air raids on the desert areas was not known but noted that this was not the first time that American fighter bombers had attacked the area, after which in the past the Americans claimed to have been attacking individuals crossing the border into Iraq.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance fighters ambush Iraqi puppet patrol clash with US troops in al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:18am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters equipped with light arms and sniper rifles attacked two patrols of US and Iraqi puppet troops on al-Jaysh ash-Sha‘bi Street in eastern al-Fallujah.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the ad-Dubbat and al-‘Askari neighborhoods of eastern al-Fallujah as saying that Resistance fighters ambushed an Iraqi puppet army patrol and after US troops intervened in the fighting, the Resistance men battled the American patrol as well for about10 minutes. One puppet Iraqi “National Guard” was killed and one US solder and two Iraqi puppet troops wounded in the engagement. Severe damage was inflicted on a vehicle belonging to the puppet forces.

Abu Ghurayb.

Resistance bomb disables US bomb detector vehicle near Abu Ghurayb.

In a dispatch posted at 12:58pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main road near the al-Bu Munaysir area of Abu Ghurayb.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Bu Munaysir village as saying that the bomb went off by a patrol of several Humvees and bomb detector vehicles on the highway. The explosion disabled one of the bomb detectors, wounding four American troops who were aboard it.

Residents of Abu Ghurayb report savage new crime by committed by US troops Friday evening.

In a dispatch posted at 10:33am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces accompanied by their Iraqi puppet army allies added a new crime to their record on Friday night when they raided home in the al-Bustan area of Abu Ghuayb, about 30km west of Baghdad on Friday night.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the Americans stormed into the house of al-Hajj Muhammad Munsi ‘Abbas and shot him in the head, killing him.

They then approached is wife Ibtisam Karraz, who was seven months pregnant, and while one American soldier held a machine gun to her head, one stabbed her in the abdomen, causing the internal organs of the foetus to come out when the bayonet was removed. She was then arrested and taken away and as of the time of reporting no information on her whereabouts or fate had been released.

The correspondent reported hat Dr. Riyad al-Hamdani, a teacher in the Abu Ghurayb Secondary School and an eyewitness to the brutal incident said that he Americans also arrested the sister-in-law of the pregnant woman, Ala Munsi ‘Abbas, and the brother of the man of the house, ‘Umar Munsi ‘Abbas, and nothing was known of their fates either as of the time of reporting.

Al-Hamdani said that after finishing their crimes in that house, the Americans went on to other houses and arrested a number of other local residents, including Ibrahim ad-Dawkmani and Ahmad ‘Azzam and all the members of their families.

At the time of reporting, tribal shaykhs and members of the Zawbi‘, al-Hamdaniyin, and as-Samilat tribes were gathering in front of the headquarters of the US occupation forces in Abu Ghurayb to demand the release of the body of the murdered pregnant woman, since her family believes she must have died.

The correspondent reported that the people of Abu Ghurayb have sent out 15 e-mail letters to al-Jazeera satellite TV demanding that they report the news to the public and expose this latest crime committed by the American occupation forces. Al-Hamdani said they sent 15 e-mail messages to al-Jazeera including eyewitness accounts of the incident and documents more than 15 times but so far al-Jazeera has failed to report the story.

Shi‘i Buratha mosque reportedly resumes role as center for torture of abducted Sunnis.

In a dispatch posted at 5:45pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the notorious Shi‘i Buratha Mosque, which several months ago had the reputation as a center for sectarian torture and murder, has resumed such activities recently.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported an informed source as saying that the Imam of Buratha, Jalal as-Saghir, a man of Iranian origin and a commander in the pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigades kidnapped nine Sunnis and took them to Buratha for torture where they still remained at the time of reporting.

The source told Mafkarat al-Islam that one of the victims, the student ‘Umar Muhammad, who is enrolled in the Qur’an study department of the Baghdad Shari‘ah College, was abducted several days ago.

Iraqi Sunnis locked down on Saturday, as sectarian regime puts Sunni districts of Baghdad under all-day curfew.

In a dispatch posted at 2:05pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Sunni districts of Baghdad were quiet beginning at dawn on Saturday after the US-installed regime had ordered those parts of the capital locked down under a curfew as Shi‘i Iraqis observed the anniversary of the death of Musa al-Kazim, one of their Imams.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces and their Iraqi puppet army allies prevented Sunni Iraqis in Baghad from going to work in their shops or from doing any sort of social activity, threatening them if any should be caught outside in violation of the sectarian curfew.

One pregnant Sunni woman died in the western Baghdad district of al-‘Amiriyah after she was prevented from getting to a hospital at dawn Saturday due to the curfew on the Sunni population.

The correspondent reported that predominantly Shi‘i parts of Baghdad ﾐ such as al-Karadah, ash-Shu‘lah, and Madinat Saddam (which was nicknamed “Madinat as-Sadr” after the American occupation) were experiencing life as usual Saturday since the Shi‘i sectarian regime, imposed on the country by the US occupation, ordered curfew only for Sunni parts of the occupied capital.

Resistance bomb reportedly kills US soldier in southern Baghdad at dawn Saturday.

In a dispatch posted at 12:47pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road that runs south out of Baghdad to al-Hillah.

The Baghdad correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that a bomb that had been planted by the al-Hillah road exploded by a US column at dawn Saturday, disabling an equipment carrier and killing one US soldier and wounding a second.

Resistance fighters mow down seven Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen in western Baghdad’s al-‘Adl district.

In a dispatch posted at 10:49am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with machine guns attacked a group of Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militiamen in the al-‘Adl neighborhood of western Baghdad

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the attack left seven of the sectarian militiamen dead and four more of them wounded. The Resistance fighters then withdrew from the area having suffered no casualties of their own.

Resistance fighters assault puppet police station in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 10:39am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters assaulted a puppet police station in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah on Friday evening

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the as-Sihhah neighborhood as saying that Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons and rocket launchers attacked the puppet police station, inflicting material damage and setting two patrol vehicles ablaze. No information on the nature or extent of casualties was available because the attack took place during the hours of curfew.

Al-Miqdadiyah.

Resistance fighters attack pro-American sectarian Badr Brigade gunmen in al-Miqdadiyah market.

In a dispatch posted at 11:10am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters equipped with light arms attacked a group of pro-American Shi‘i sectarian Badr Brigade militiamen in the market in the town of al-Miqdadiyah, about 85km northeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Miqdadiyah as saying that the attack left one Badr Brigade gunmen dead and three more of them severely wounded.

Ba‘qubah.

US soldier reported killed in Resistance bombing west of Ba‘qubah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:59am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road to al-Mafraq west of Ba‘qubah, about 65km northeast of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Ba‘qubah as saying that the bomb disabled a Humvee, killing one American soldier and wounding three more of them.

Kirkuk.

Resistance bomb rips through supply convoy headed to US bases in Kirkuk.

In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Makkah time Saturday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a convoy of trucks hauling provisions to US bases on the road to the al-Wahdah neighborhood of southeastern Kirkuk in northern Iraq.

The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Wahdah as saying hat the bomb went off near the neighborhood by a passing truck convoy. The blast set fire to one of the trucks, killing its driver who worked for the American occupation forces.

Puppet army commander survives Resistance bomb attack.

In a dispatch posted at 9:50am Makkah time Saturday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by the motorcade of the commander of the Eighth Division of the Iraqi puppet army in western ad-Diwaniyah, 120km south of Baghdad.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that three of the commander’s bodyguards were killed but the commander himself survived. A source in the Iraqi puppet police aid that the bomb planted on the main road to the west of ad-Diwaniyah went off as the commander’s motorcade drove by, destroying one vehicle and killing three bodyguards. Three other people were wounded.
