US troops storm into ar-Ramadi General Hospital and take over. Patients thrown out into the front yard; ambulance drivers later transport them to al-Fallujah Hospital.

In a dispatch posted at 9:44am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation forces have completely taken over ar-Ramadi General Hospital and turned it into a US military camp for American troops, throwing the hospital patients out of the building. The ar-Ramadi correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that ambulances had to evacuate the patients from the hospital to al-Fallujah General Hospital because the Americans had ordered them all thrown out.

Ambulance drivers told Mafkarat al-Islam that US troops in armored vehicles and armor-plated Humvees stormed into ar-Ramadi General Hospital in the northern part of the city and cleared all the patients, despite their illnesses and injuries, out of the hospital and on to the yard in front of the facility. The Americans ordered ambulance drivers and relatives in the hospital to take all the patients outside to the front yard. From there the ambulance drivers transported them to al-Fallujah.

Meanwhile, the Americans transformed the hospital into a military encampment, erecting barriers of sand and concrete around the building and deploying American snipers on the roof to prevent anyone from approaching the commandeered facility.

US troops shoot, kill pregnant woman, wound husband as they approach ar-Ramadi hospital building Thursday night.

Thursday night, in a dispatch posted at 9:14pm Makkah time, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier US occupation forces had shot and killed a pregnant Iraqi woman and seriously wounded her husband as they were coming out towards the city hospital where the wife expected to deliver her child. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops were still at that time deployed in the streets and would not allow local people to come out of their houses or to take away the body of the dead pregnant woman or to evacuate her wounded husband.

Al-Fallujah.

Resistance rockets blast US base to the east of al-Fallujah Thursday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 6:22pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four Grad rockets at the US headquarters in the farm area east of al-Fallujah at 3pm local time Thursday afternoon.

The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the main US base known as al-Mazra‘ah (“The Farm”), located 3km east of al-Fallujah, two pillars of thick black smoke rose from the western and northern parts of the US base following the attack. Witnesses living in the Industrial Zone of eastern Baghdad not far from the base said that US helicopters flew in at low altitude over the base and prowled the skies in the area for about an hour after the attack, landing at one point inside the base.

US soldier reported killed in Resistance ambush in western al-Fallujah.

In a dispatch posted at 12:23pm Makkah time midday Thursday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighter ambushed a US patrol in the market area in western al-Fallujah. The al-Fallujah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters armed with light and medium weapons attacked a US military patrol on the road between the market and the al-Jawlan neighborhood in northwestern al-Fallujah. Witnesses reported that one American soldier was killed and two more wounded, one of those severely, in the Resistance attack. The American troops responded to the ambush by firing indiscriminately around the area, wounding four local civilians.

Al-Hadithah.

Three US troops reported shot and killed in al-Hadithah on Thrusday. US troops deploy in strength, threatening to arrest anyone using the Internet or cell phones.

In a dispatch posted at 7:36pm Makkah time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US and Iraqi puppet forces had the city of al-Hadithah locked in a blockade during the day Thursday but that this failed to stop the Iraqi Resistance from launching deadly attacks on the occupiers and their allies. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the al-‘Askari and ash-Shurtah neighborhoods of the city as saying that Resistance fighters killed nine Iraqi puppet troops and three US Marines in two separate attacks during the day Thursday.

Witnesses said that a Resistance bomb exploded by a Zeal troop transport vehicle carrying Iraqi puppet army soldiers, killing three of them. Resistance fighters armed with medium machine guns then pounced on the puppet troops, sparking a firefight that lasted about fifteen minutes and left a total of nine puppet troops dead according to a source in the puppet army itself. Witnesses also reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed two US troops opposite a wholesale fish store in the ash-Shurtah neighborhood at 10am local time.

A third American was killed by the municipality of al-Hadithah, about an hour after the death of the first two Marines in the same district.

US forces then sent an additional armored unit into the city. It deployed in streets and lanes. The situation in the city remained tense throughout the day and American troops distributed leaflets threatening anyone who dared to use the Internet or cellular telephones with arrest.

Five US troops reported killed in two attacks in the city of al-Hadithah.

In a dispatch posted at 11:45am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters had mounted two deadly attacks on US troops in the city of al-Hadithah, about 220km northwest of Baghdad, in the previous 24 hours.

The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Hadithah as saying that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US patrol on the main road in the eastern part of the city, disabling a Humvee and killing three US troops and wounding three more of them.

In a second incident, an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed two US soldiers who were with an American detachment raiding houses in the Barwanah area to the east of al-Hadithah. The Resistance sharpshooter fired off two shots, striking two US soldiers one after the other and killing them instantly.

Al-Khalidiyah.

Resistance mortars pound joint US-Iraqi puppet “National Guard” camps near al-Khalidiyah.

In a dispatch posted at 10:15am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired mortars into two camps occupied by US and Iraqi puppet “National Guard” forces in Jazirat al-Khalidiyah, about 80km west of Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the Jazirat al-Kartan area of al-Khalidiyah as saying that the camps in al-Kartan and al-Mulahimah were targeted by Resistance gunners. The Resistance fired five 60mm mortar rounds into the joint US-Iraqi puppet “National Guard” camp in al-Kartan and three 82mm mortar rounds into the joint camp in al-Mulahimah in Jazirat al-Khalidiyah, sending plumes of smoke rising over both facilities.

Baghdad.

Resistance fighters kill Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi gunmen who helped burn down Sunni mosques in Baghdad.

In a dispatch posted at 11:55am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed three members of the Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militia in the ash-Sha‘b district of eastern Baghdad. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the district as saying that Resistance fighters equipped with machine guns attacked a civilian car in which two Jaysh al-Mahdi sectarian militiamen were riding. The sources said that those two sectarian militiamen had taken part in burning down Sunni mosques in predominantly Shi‘i sections of the city.

Smoke billows from joint US-Iraqi puppet army headquarters in al-Kazimiyah following Resistance mortar barrage.

In a dispatch posted at 11:37am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired six 82mm mortar rounds at the headquarters jointly occupied by US and Iraqi puppet forces in northern Baghdad’s al-Kazimiyah area. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Kazimiyah as saying that the joint headquarters, which is set up in the complex that formerly housed the Iraqi Intelligence Service before the American invasion, took direct hits from the shells, sending plumes of smoke rising from the buildings inside the complex.

Two US troops reported killed in Resistance bombing south of Baghdad at dawn Thursday.

In a dispatch posted at 9:58am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the highway between the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah and the Baghdad al-Jadidah district of the occupied Iraqi capital. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb planted by the highway south of Baghdad went off by an American column at dawn Thursday, destroying a Humvee and killing two US troops and wounding two more of them.

In a dispatch posted at 12:37pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column on the main road near the al-Qaraghul area in northern al-Yusufiyah, about 30km southwest of Baghdad. The al-Yusufiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb that had been planted on a farm road near al-Qaraghul went off by a US patrol, disabling a Humvee. No information on the nature or extent of US casualties was available because the Americans responded to the bombing attack by opening fire indiscriminately in every direction and closed of the area where the attack took place.

Resistance strikes puppet army headquarters with mortar barrage.

In a dispatch posted at 12:37pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired seven 82mm mortar rounds at the Iraqi puppet army headquarters in al-Yusufiyah. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the shells scored direct hits on the puppet army facility, sending plumes of smoke rising into the sky.

Resistance bomb blasts convoy bringing supplies to US bases south of al-Mawsil Wednesday night.

In a dispatch posted at 11:39am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a convoy hauling provisions for US occupation troops on the al-Qayyarah Road south of al-Mawsil in northern Iraq. The al-Mawsil correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the Iraqi puppet police as saying that a bomb went off by a civilian supply convoy bringing provisions to US bases on Wednesday evening. The blast destroyed one of the trucks, instantly killing its driver.

Al-‘Amarah.

Resistance shoots down British helicopter over al-‘Amarah Thursday afternoon.

In a dispatch posted at 5:39pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a short while earlier Iraqi Resistance fighters had shot down a British helicopter in the as-Saray area of al-‘Amarah in southeastern Iraq. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that the helicopter was seen crashing and burning in residential parts of the city. British occupation troops surrounded the area after the crash and no information on the nature or extent of casualties was available.

Resistance high-explosive bomb blasts US vehicle in an-Najaf.

In a dispatch posted at 8:28pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a powerful explosion shook eastern an-Najaf. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a high-explosive bomb went off, destroying a US vehicle in the Um al-‘Abbasiyat area of the city, near the al-Kufah soft drink bottling plant in an-Najaf. The blast killed or wounded the American crew aboard the vehicle. Afterward, occupation troops surrounded the area and hauled away the vehicle to their base near the so-called Imam ‘Ali Airport.

Bomber targets puppet police checkpoint at entrance to Shi‘i shrine area of an-Najaf Thursday morning.

In a dispatch posted at 11:32am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an explosion had rocked the Shi‘i shrine area in the southern city of an-Najaf. A source in the puppet police reported that the blast had been caused by a man wearing an explosive belt who blew himself up at an Iraqi puppet police checkpoint at the entrance to the Shi‘i shrine area in an-Najaf, the so-called “as-Sahn al-Haydari” area.

Earlier, eyewitnesses had offered differing explanations, some saying that a car bomb had exploded, others that a bomb planted near the entrance to the area had blown up. The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a member of the puppet police who were deployed throughout the area after the blast as saying that a man had approached the checkpoint and blew himself up, killing five puppet policemen and four civilians. Five other puppet policemen and nine civilians were wounded in the explosion, the source said.

A source in as-Sadr General Hospital, however, said that his facility had received the bodies of 31 people killed in the explosion and 47 people who had been injured, most of them severely. Although he gave no figures, the hospital source said that among the dead and wounded were puppet policemen. In a dispatch posted at 6:41pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that the number of deaths in the an-Najaf bombing had risen to 33 dead and 102 wounded ﾐ a total of 135 casualties. A statement issued by the puppet “Ministry of Health” stated that most of the injured were in serious condition.
