US forces abduct more than 75 Iraqis from homes and refugee camps in Hit Thursday morning.
In a dispatch posted at 6:40pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US occupation troops arrested dozens of local residents and Sunni refugees, who had been driven out of other parts of Iraq by American -inspired sectarian attacksin recent months, in a series of raids carried out Thursday morning and midday.
The Hit correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US troops abducted more than 74 men and boys ranging in age from 13 to 60 from homes and refugee camps in the city. The occupation troops gave no reason for the mass arrests.
US occupation force put bags on the heads of the prisoners and tied their hands before transporting them to the US ‘Ayn as-Saqr base in western Hit.
Ar-Ramadi.
US troops kill three men on their way to pray dawn prayer early Thursday, then issue a ban on all future dawn prayers in mosques, extending the night time curfew until 8am.
In a dispatch posted at 6:35pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that US forces shot and killed three local men who were on their way to the dawn prayer in ar-Ramadi, about 110km west of Baghdad, on Thursday.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported that later in the morning, the American troops drove through the streets telling the population that hence forth the nighttime curfew would not be from 8pm to 6am, but from 8pm to 8am and that anyone caught out of his house between those hours would be shot. They further announced that anyone found in a mosque during those hours would be arrested as a “terrorist.”
As a result, the dawn prayer, one of the five daily prayers said by Muslims in mosques if they can do so, has been banned by the US forces who have likewise prohibited the call to prayer in the morning as well.
Al-Khalidiyah.
Resistance bomb targets puppet troops in column near al-Khalidiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:55pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a column of US and Iraqi puppet military forces on the public road west of al-Khalidiyah, about 80km west of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Khalidiyah as saying that the bomb destroyed a Hino used by the puppet troops, killing or wounding six of the Iraqi puppet soldiers aboard it.
Al-Hadithah.
Resistance bombards US headquarters in Barwanah near al-Hadithah.
In a dispatch posted at 11:40am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired four 60mm mortar rounds into the US headquarters in Barwanah, east of al-Hadithah, about 220km northwest of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Barwanah as saying that the American base by the Barwanah Bridge was struck by four 60mm mortar shelss which blasted into the facility sending up plumes of smoke.
Abu Ghurayb.
Resistance bomb blasts US column in Abu Ghurayb.
In a dispatch posted at 1:20pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US column on the main street near the Khan Darri area of Abu Ghurayb, about 30km west of Baghdad.
The Abu Ghurayb correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in Khan Darri as saying that the bomb went off by a column of several Humvees, completely destroying one of them and killing or wounding the five American troops who were aboard it.

Resistance fires Katyusha rockets at Shi‘i sectarian militia headquarters in ash-Shu‘lah.
In a dispatch posted at 2pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces fired two Katyusha rockets into the headquarters of the Shi‘i sectarian militias in ash-Shu‘lah in Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the barrage set fire to two unmarked cars belonging to the sectarian militiamen.
Resistance fighters kill two puppet “National Guards” who were concurrently Jaysh al-Mahdi militia gunmen.
In a dispatch posted at 12:20pm Makkah time midday Thursday, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters shot and killed two members of the Shi‘i sectarian Jaysh al-Mahdi militian in the western Baghdad area of al-‘Amiriyah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-‘Amiriyah as saying that Resistance men armed with machine guns attacked two members of the Jaysh al-Mahdi militia who were concurrently members of the puppet “Iraqi National Guard” as they drove their two cars on the al-Khadra’ Road. The Resistance fighters killed both puppet “Guard” militiamen and then withdrew immediately from the area.

Resistance fighters assault puppet “Shock Troop” camp in Samarra’, killing three puppet troops.
In a dispatch posted at 1:50pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters assaulted a camp of the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry Shock Troops (Maghawir)” on the al-Jubayriyah Road south of Samarra’, about 120km north of Baghdad.
The Samarra’ correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that the Resistnace attackers, equipped with light arms and pipe rockets, inflicted material damage on the camp and killed three puppet Shock Troops and wounded three more of them.
Balad.
Bomb blasts oil pipeline north of Baghdad.
In a dispatch posted at 7:11pm Makkah time Thursday evening, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that armed men blew up the pipeline in the area of Balad that transports crude oil from the Bayji oil facilities about 200km north of Baghdad to the refineries in the southern Baghdad suburb of ad-Durah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that oil workers and firemen were unable to extinguish the blas from the pipeline until the flow of oil was shut off.
Resistance ambushes puppet police in Balad.
In a dispatch posted at 11am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance fighters ambushed an Iraqi puppet police patrol on the main road in the middle of Balad, about 80km north of Baghdad.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses as saying that Resistance men equipped with light arms attacked the patrol, killing two puppet policemen and then withdrawing without having suffered any losses of their own.
Yathrib.
Resistance bomb targets fuel convoy near US base north of Yathrib.
In a dispatch posted at 2:20pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a column of tankers hauling fuel to the US-occupied al-Bakr air base on the road north of Yathrib, about 70km north of Baghdad.
The Yathrib correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported local eyewitnesses as saying that a bomb planted by the side of the road to the al-Bakr base (which the Americans call Camp Anaconda) exploded by a fuel convoy, destroying one of the tankers and killing its driver, a collaborator working for the US occupation forces.
Resistance pounds US base from two directions with mortars, rockets.
In a dispatch posted at 10:40am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that Iraqi Resistance forces bombarded the US military headquarters set up in the al-Bakr Air base (which the Americans have named Camp Anaconda) with mortars and rockets.
The ad-Dujail correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the Yathrib area, about 70km north of Baghdad, as saying that the US-occupied base was attacked from two directions. The Resistance fired three heavy 120mm mortar rounds into the base from the south, and fired two medium-range Katyusha rockets from the northwest.
Witnesses reported that plumes of smoke could be seen rising from the facility after the attacks, but as usual the Americans provided no information on the nature or extent of casualties or damage.

US soldier reported killed by Iraqi Resistance sharpshooter south of at-Tarimiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 10:20am Makkah time Thursday morning, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance marksman shot and killed a US soldier on a farm road south of at-Tarimiyah, about 30km north of Baghdad.
The at-Tarimiyah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in the city as saying that a US patrol was halted on a farm road south of the city when one of the US soldiers took a direct hit from a Resistance sharpshooter’s bullet, killing him instantly.

Resistance bomb targets US column north of al-Mahmudiyah.
In a dispatch posted at 12:40pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a US military column north of al-Mahmudiyah on the road to al-Yusufiyah.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported eyewitnesses in al-Mahmudiyah, about 30km south of Baghdad, as saying that a bomb that had been planted north of town blew up by a passing US column, destroying a Humvee and killing of wounding the four US troops aboard it.

Resistance leader in al-Mawsil denies puppet regime claim to have arrested Resistance commander.
In a dispatch posted at 8:37pm Makkah time Thursday night, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that a commander in the Iraqi Resistance group Jaysh al-Mujahideen denied claims made by the puppet “Iraqi Interior Ministry” that a man named ‘Abd ar-Rahman ‘Ali ‘Abd ar-Rahman, nicknamed Abu al-Hajir had been captured.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported Shaykh Abu ‘Ubaydah of the Jaysh al-Mujahideen as saying, several hours after the report of that commander’s alleged capture had been announced, that the news was completely false. Abu ‘Ubaydah said that the puppet “Interior Ministry” was only trying to improve the morale and standing of its personnel in a-Mawsil after the Resistance attacks there had compelled the puppet police and occupation troops to abandon half the city.
The Resistance commander said that he believed the name of the person supposedly arrested belonged to one of the poor Sunni residents in the city who had been “picked” and paid to serve as a “Resistance leader” and so that they could then publicly announce his arrest.
Resistance bomb kills three foreign mercenary contractors northwest of al-Mawsil.
In a dispatch posted at 12:27pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that an Iraqi Resistance bomb exploded by a column of four-wheel drive vehicles of the type used by foreign mercenary “security contractors” working with the US occupation army. That attack occurred on al-Ghabat Road northwest of al-Mawsil in northern Iraq.
The correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that the bomb destroyed one of the four-wheel drive GMC vehicles carrying the mercenaries, killing three of the foreigners and wounding three more of them.
Afterwards, US forces surrounded the area where the blast occurred and evacuated the dead and wounded to the Amercan al-Ghazlani military base in the city.
Maysan Province.
Al-‘Amarah.
After days under rocket bombardment, British occupation troops abandon Camp Abu Naji in al-‘Amarah, the largest base in southern Iraq.
In a dispatch posted at 4:30pm Makkah time Thursday afternoon, Mafkarat al-Islam reported that British forces suddenly withdrew from their base near al-‘Amarah at dawn on Thursday after having more than 70 rockets rain down on them within fewer than 40 days.
The al-‘Amarah correspondent for Mafkarat al-Islam reported a source in the puppet police as saying that that British suddenly abandoned their Abu Naji base, the largest base of the occupation forces in southern Iraq. The source said that hundreds of vehicles with equipment and troops abandoned the base, heading for the city of al-Basrah.
The source said that the British had retreated from the base after Camp Abu Naji had come under daily rocket bombardment by the Iraqi Resistance, forcing them to leave.
The correspondent reported that immediately after the British abandoned the base, local Shi‘i sectarians rushed to loot the base. Taking everything that the British had left behind, including electric generators, furniture, medical, and food supplies. Men, women, and children were seen carrying their loot. The situation was so extreme that the puppet police chief ordered a security cordon laid down around the base and threatened to shoot plunderers.
